My husband and I are huge Sopranos fans, so when we discovered that Lodi’s Pizza was one of the shops featured in the series, we couldn’t resist checking it out. It turns out this place has been right under our noses all along. The folks at the counter were incredibly welcoming, and the old-school vibes made us feel right at home. The pizza was delicious with great flavor, though it was a bit too crispy for my taste. I prefer a slice that has a slight crunch but is still flexible enough to bend in half before devouring. Despite that, we’ll definitely be coming back!

Google
Great pizza, great people working there. Tastes like it was made with love and care. Very good cheese, great crust, and the sauce is amazing. Apparently an episode of Sopranos was filmed here (I’ve never watched the show). Worth the visit for a slice or pie.

Google
Cash only. Stopped in for 2 slices and a can of Coke. Service was prompt and quickly received my pizza, even during the lunch hour rush. Inside the walls are adorned with classic Italian-American actors praising Lodi Pizza as the best around. They weren't kidding! Can't wait to go back for a fresh pie.

I was told this spot is a must especially because it was featured on an episode of the Sopranos. Classic cheese pizza round was honestly delicious to me - very fresh, cheesy, sauce is great and lots of oregano. I love how the pineapple topping was baked with the pizza not just thrown on top cold like other spots. Some of the best I’ve had in NJ. The place itself is so old school, looks like they haven’t changed a dang thing in 30 years. I feel like they can somewhat modernize a little, esp knowing how popular it is and how busy they get. The selection of drinks I’ll say is very small, I don’t recommend you get their branded sodas; some of them are over 40 grams of sugar is which 🤯. Pizza wise, it’s a 10/10 for me. Crisp bottom And super cheesy top. Doesn’t get any better. Note: Cash only!

Google
I heard so many good things about this place and I think it was a little overhyped because it is not the best pizza I’ve ever had but it’s definitely good pizza! I still recommend

Niki

Google
Have been eating their food since I was a kid and grew up eating it regularly with my family. Definitely some of the best pizza and food in the area! Check them out and I promise you won't be disappointed. If you're not from around the area, you'll be able to find out what amazing Italian food really tastes like!!! I hope that they stay open for many more years to come, so they can forever be enjoyed

Google
OK, this place is hands down the best, BEST pizza. Especially their Sicilian pie. Omg, the bottom has the perfect crunch, and the sauce is delicious, full of flavor, and just the right amount of mozzarella!!!!! I drive from Oakland to pick up a pie and or some slices. They always have fresh pies ready to go!!!! The staff is always very kind and helpful, and the owner will have a chat with you while he makes amazing food. This place is legendry and so well worth the drive. Thank you for the amazing food and memories with family sharing a slice!

Google
Delicious pies in a classic setting! Enjoyed a white pie w/anchovies well done.

Yelp
If you want a pizza that tickles the deep part of you that yearned for a Chuck E. Cheese pie as a kid, you've met it. Lodi pizza is virtually no-flop without being too thin or dry. It's well-sauced, so you don't get an imbalance of salty cheese. The cheese pull is magnificent. It's oily enough to feel good, but not so greasy that you can't easily house half a pie (don't look at me). There's not much else to say. It's not fancy, it's simply done right. Also, their soda fountain is fantastic.

Yelp
I only had pizza from here when neighbors had gotten delivery many years ago. I had wanted to come for a while but saw the reviews got really bad but I checked again and was seeing great reviews so I went. I wanted a plain slice and asked the girl there what her favorite was and she said pepper and onion so I got a slice of that also and I spotted large rice balls so I took one home to have the next day. The slices looked really good and the undercarriage had great color however I found it to be very salty and heavy, too much cheese and sauce for the dough. The pepper and onion was better but again too heavy. The rice ball I had the next day was unimpressive. I'm not sure if the latest reviews were from customers back in the day when this was supposed to be some of the best pizza around but I certainly didn't feel that way.

Yelp
Really great NYC style pizza. I didn't think I could find this style pizza unless I was in NYC. I truly love this pizza. It's so fresh and delicious. The crust is perfection. As a bonus, the service is super friendly! I can't wait to try what else they have. Bonus trivia: a scene from the Sopranos, season 3, episode 4, was filmed here

Alison K.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place for a while now. Tried the plain cheese pie with half sausage and a margherita. Big chunks of sausage, plenty of cheese, and lots of basil on the margherita. All solid pizzas with a crispy crust, mine were on the more "well done" side. Would be interested in trying the Sicilian and zeppoles. Called ahead for pickup - there is some seating inside but it's small.

Howard B.

Yelp
Tonight I bought a calzone at Lodi Pizza and you tell me why a place I thought was one of last old school treat you right places sold me this piece of s'h't

Tate W.

Yelp
Great and efficient service. Food was very good and perfectly seasoned. The workers were very sweet and the hospitality was great.

Roman J.

Yelp
Got two pies from this places after seeing it featured on Dave Potnuy's page and it's solid pizza. I give it a 7.8 on the one bite review. No flop on the slice. Had to drive through 7 towns to get here because no matter what they tell you Jersey's pizza scene is overrated and no decent places in or near Lyndhurst, NJ. Has the ambiance of an old school pizza joint that looks like it's been open since the 70s. Friendly service. I'll come back.

Cecilia L.

Yelp
Very popular pizza spot that I been wanting to try but the slices here is a little bit on the thicker end but pizza was very juicy and cheesy so that was great! Love that they also have outdoor seating too

Bill T.

Yelp
PIZZA NOT SO GOOD! In this area of NJ you would expect terrific pizza. This pizza is edible, barely. Tasteless garbage but edible if you're really hungry. Good treat for the dog. Pasta here not so good because the marinara sauce is nasty. Way better places to go close by here. Skip it.

Michele D.

Yelp
I have been wanting to try this place forever. Well I finally got here and I love everything about the inside old skool pizza joint. The pizza is GOOD!! Went at lunch time and there was a constant flow of patrons coming in. Staff was friendly. Cash only

Jack M.

Yelp
An excellent old-school pizza parlor, not a restaurant, not a fast-food place, not a tentacle of huge corporation. We ordered a large cheese pie which is the time-honored test for pizzas. The three prime components cheese, sauce, and crust each have to stand on there own for a good pizza. The cheese is absolutely the best cheese I've had on a pizza in at least twenty years. The sause is also the best in at least twenty years. The crust while the best in the last twenty years was a little to dense for my personal taste but the left over slices the next day were near perfect and the slices reheated quite nicely. So if you're tired of crappy pizza go to Lodi Pizza for a pie or a slice and you'll wonder why to didn't go sooner.

Susie R.

Yelp
Guys is this is CLASSIC spot. Honestly worth a visit if you're in the north jersey area. Lots of memorabilia inside from the misfits and sopranos. What I love about the spot is that they actually still speak Italian there. the pizza is great. Little on the greasy side but so good either way!

sarah

Yelp
the best pizza I've ever had in my life. I'm from Egypt, and I've never eaten better pizza than this.

Rodrigo C.

Yelp
I know pizza. Been around the u.s and tried allot of places. I usually try top rated spots and this place is definitely up there! Barstool needs to rate it!

Cassy B.

Yelp
Lodi Pizza is fantastic! A great stop for a slice of a fresh pie. It's right off of 46 and has a good sized parking lot. The vibe here is incredibly old school and retro. The menu is vintage and so is the cash register. It's very cool! The staff is friendly and they know what they're doing. My friend and I got a large pepperoni pie, a pepperoni Stromboli and a cheese calzone. All absolutely delicious. The dough is great, the fillings are generous. The pizza is great too, the crust is not too thin and not too thick - just perfect. Great sauce, good amount of toppings. Really, no complaints. I can definitely see myself ordering from here in the future.

Judy A.

Yelp
I've been meaning to go to Lodi pizza for a while, so I finally got there. I ordered a plain slice. It was hot and gooey and just hit the spot. The staff is nice and friendly. Shout out to Kevin! I ordered some zeppoli to go, and they were on point. I don't know what took me so long to go there, but I will be back!

Emily L.

Yelp
I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! My uncle knows the owner and has bin going there since he was a kid. The food is sooooo good. YOU HAVE TO GO. But it is cash only.

Zia A.

Yelp
I ordered a pie with half mushrooms and onions and half buffalo chicken, it was undoubtedly delicious and will definitely go there again

George P.

Yelp
All areas are excellent food service well this is an authentic pizza place and its ambience is real and comfortable No person should not be satisfied with anything they order.

Steve M.

Yelp
As usual , another excellent meatball pie. Crisp crust / excellent count on the meatballs

Jojo B.

Yelp
Great pizza , the few times I have been there I have been happy with my pizza choice , old fashion pizzeria can't complain

Ryan R.

Yelp
Best pizza in New Jersey I've had. Every bite of pizza has a topping ITS LOADED love the pepperoni and Hawaiian pie my go to spot

Drea S.

Yelp
This is the Best pizza , been eatting it since I was 7 years old.. and their calzones are fantastic also.. highly recommend 20 stars 's

Magda M.

Yelp
I swear by this pizza been coming here for the past 20 years . Lodi pizza is a staple in Lodi like any other well known places such as Starbucks or Popeyes. Slices are delicious usually I order the margarita slice and the sausage slice . You never go wrong with any slice really. Bring cash with you if not there's an ATM at the location. Service is on point and place is good for a quick bite . Ps they don't deliver .

Joe F.

Yelp
Used to go here years ago. Sad because it was good back then. They were known for their Sicilian pies. Not anymore. $20 cash only for a subpar attempt at a Sicilian. Guess they avoid paying their fair share of income taxes being cash only. Go elsewhere I can't see how other people give higher stars . Guess they have different standards

Darren F.

Yelp
I have been going here for over 3 decades and it continues to be the gold standard when it comes to my favorite pizza spot! The same guy (the owner) has been serving me pizza since the 90s. Sausage Sicilian pie w/ Cherry Pepsi is my go-to. I love this place! It is definitely a taste of the "Old" NJ! Lodi Pizza was featured in Season 3 of the Sopranos and the walls are covered with pictures of celebrities that have eaten there like Joe Pesci, Reggie White, Real1 (fka Enzo Amore in WWE). Definitely would recommend for take out or a to get a quick slice. FYI this place is CASH ONLY but there is an ATM on site.

Peter R.

Yelp
The food is decent, but overpriced compared to other local pizzerias. The inside is a typical classic NJ pizzeria, which I like, but there isn't a lot of seating. A downside is also being cash only, though they have an AMT. The service is generally friendly and usually quick.

Samuel S.

Yelp
I heard of this place through a friend who ask me, since I live by, if I had try this. Well, couple weeks later I finally gave it a try. And it is absolutely great. The dough the taste, the workers. Wao. Truly great pizza. Recomend 10/10. Plus El Presidente gave it a 7.8 which I think is really low. But in his standards it's really good.

David S.

Yelp
Lodi Pizza is a staple on Route 46 for a number of years and so popular that even celebrities frequent the place (as indicated by their wall of fame). After ordering a few times from here, I can see why. They take their time with the service because there are so many orders for pickup. From the time I parked to the time I walked out with the food there must have been at least 5 people in and out with their orders. Mind you, I was there for about 5 mins max. We most recently had the Sicilian - half veggie half pepperoni and it was excellent - not too bready and the sauce was almost sweet and delicious. I can't help but think that they even slice their pepperoni a sliver thicker than other restaurants because I felt like I got more for each bite. The veggie part was great too because of the mushrooms and the olives. If you're looking for that Sicilian goodness, look no further than Lodi Pizza on Route 46!

Krystle T.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I had this place on our list for a while since we always see it while driving down 46. This place isn't bad, but it just isn't my favorite in the area. We ordered a Sicilian Pizza, Pie (1/2 Veggie, 1/2 Pepperoni), and Mozzarella Sticks. The Sicilian was pretty straightforward, but the veggie tasted a bit bland (too much onion or not enough mushroom, idk). What was consistent among the 2 pies was the amount of oil that sat on it. We had to dab it with paper towels before biting into a slice because it was just too much. Just be aware that it is CASH ONLY (at least the day we ordered). We weren't told that when we placed the order over the phone, but we were lucky to have had some on hand.

Louis G.

Yelp
Great pizza and sauce. Always a positive experience and enjoy the food. Employees very friendly and thorough. Always impressed they always get my order correct and food is hot when I get it home.

Lisa D.

Yelp
Been the best pizza since I was a little kid growing up in the neighborhood. The taste and quality hasn't changed one bit. It's just the perfect plain pizza, no modifications needed

Sarah B.

Yelp
Amazing "old school" NJ pizza. I can honestly say being from NJ and living in NYC for the past 10 yrs or so...that there are a select few NJ pizza spots that top NYC spots, and this is one!

Jena M.

Yelp
A friend asked us to order the Old Fashioned Bianca (onions and anchovies). I will give it up that they crumble the anchovies and not just slab them on the pizza. We ordered half Bianca and the other half sausage, pepper and onions. The pizza was a bit chewy. We've tried this place twice already and are not wowed by it. Perhaps next time we will ask them for well done. The zeppolisare on point though!

Louis T.

Yelp
Haven't been to Lodi pizza probably over ten years. Was in the area and ordered some dinner for the family. Called and ordered two scillian and a cheese calzone. Ordered both well done and they were cooked to perfection. The calzone was the best I had in a really long time. It was overstuffed with ricotta and mozzarella. The side of tomato sauce was cooked to perfection with all the right spices. The scillian was also very tasty and perfectly well done. The sauce on the pizza was fresh and tasty. The only memory of the pizza from the past was I thought it was a little thicker. But I guess I had three thinner slices instead of two thicker. Just remember that this establishment is cash only which wasn't a problem with me. There is a reason why they have been open for so many years. Good food made with care and authentic Italian ingredients.

Charlie D.

Yelp
Good pizza plenty of parking. They always come through for me. Bathroom is not accessible from the inside.

Angela S.

Yelp
Old school Italian pizzeria and that's what I love about this little pizzeria! CASH ONLY AND PICK UP ONLY HEADS UP! ordered a Sicilian pie and two orders of garlic knots for $24!!! What beats that price ?! Super cheap and greattttttt tastyyyy food! Enjoyed every single bite. So delicious and I will definitely be back! Workers are friendly and quick pick up time. Thanks lodi pizza !! :)

Greg A.

Yelp
Being a misfits fan it was only a matter of time before trying this place out. 10/10 awesome pizza and friendly staff. Going for the misfits memorabilia alone is worth the trip.

Kim B.

Yelp
This is probably one of my favorite pizza places in the area. They have been around since I was a kid and they never disappoint! If you're looking for good quality pizza than you're at the right place. The pizza is old school jersey pizza which is the best kind in my opinion. I ordered a margarita and a pepperoni pizza to go. In total both pies came out to $33.00. The margarita was $18.00 and the pepperoni was $15.00. The pies have a lot of flavor and their pepperoni was real! The only thing that I wasn't a fan of was that the margarita had a lot of fresh mozzarella on it and I prefer it to be more saucey. Overall, I highly recommend! The only downside is that it's CASH ONLY! I find that to be an inconvenience. (They have an ATM on site but I'm not going to pay the fee to take out money)

Joe P.

Yelp
Listen, I am from Massachusetts. My Mother grew up in Lodi. Every time I would visit my Grandmother (ave a) this was the absolute highlight of my time in New Jersey. Every time i think about Pizza, it is instantly Lodi Pizza. I compare every single slice to Lodi Pizza, and nothing can even hold a dime to it. I will die knowing Lodi Pizza is one of the best in the world. When we visit Lodi for Family, We bring back at least 6 pies with us and freeze them.

Sara I.

Yelp
Sicilian is delicious, always has been. Cash only. Would recommend. My dad and uncle always brought us here as kids and they still got it. There are so many pizza places in the area, but take the drive to pick up, you won't be disappointed.

Carol D.

Yelp
Got a delicious takeout pie there. Good old fashioned New Jersey pizza. Be aware...They don't take credit cards, and charge extra for little containers of garlic powder, etc.

Barry F.

Yelp
One of the best pizza places in New Jersey. Great plain pie, super Sicilian. And friendly service! Magnificent!

Mike G.

Yelp
We ordered 7 different pizzas for a retirement party and all of them were delivered crispy and delicious. The square pies were especially wonderful with fresh basil and tasty sauce.

Jeff B.

Yelp
It's reviews like this that I find particularly difficult to give, but I do endeavor to review with integrity and help people to make informed decisions. The reason it's difficult to me to post a review like this is because the people here were genuinely nice, the service was good, the pricing wasn't bad. The pizza actually gave me indigestion for a while afterwards. Now, please take that with a grain of salt, I do have a bad stomach sometimes. But even at that... this spot came highly recommended, I actually came here a 2nd time because the first time I didn't realize it was cash only. VERY nice people, GREAT service, I just personally wasn't into their pizza. Sorry guys.

Gary D.

Yelp
I've been coming to Lodi Pizza for over 25 years. The guys are friendly here the service is fast, just call ahead and remember cash only. The pizza is old school, pan cooked the round and the Sicilian are cooked in the pan to order, fresh. The Sicilian pizza is their specialty and I recommend the Sicilian with sausage. The sausage is First quality and is put on in crumbles not sliced. They have a nice assortment of sandwich and meals. All cooked fresh to order. Was featured on Barstool Pizza reviews. If you're looking for a homestyle pizza, you won't be disappointed in Lodi Pizza!

Daniel L.

Yelp
Was looking for a place to grab a few slices and I definitely found it...this place has phenomenal pizza. I ordered 1 plain slice and 1 white slice. Crust was great (nice and chewy with a crispy bottom) and the sauce was very flavorful (hints of oregano). I overall preferred the plain slice, but both were top notch.

Eloy Y.

Yelp
Ever since a family member has informed us of this place, it has become our go to location for pizzas. On our 1st visit was over the summer, we ordered a regular pizza to eat there. Last weekend, ordered a take out of their Sicilian pizza with mushroom. It wasn't a bad price of $18. The crust on both pies were just right height as it wasn't too thick or too thin. This is cash only and highly recommend this place.

Jessica P.

Yelp
Great Sicilian pizza! Not too thick compared to most, but the right amount of crust. We got plain and half onion half meatball. I have to say, you can't go wrong with the plain. Owners and staff are pleasant and very friendly. Definitely a place worth going to for any kind of pizza!
