Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando

I think this is the best hotel I’ve ever been to. As soon as we got there they welcomed us and gave us those Hawaiian lays that go around your neck. It is soo tropical and they have the biggest pool there. They have pools, arcades, gyms etc. it’s a very clean place. I wake up, go outside and see beautiful lakes with cute little ducklings and mallards. This place really makes me feel royal. They are also very close to islands of adventure, and universal studios . I give this place five stars. What a tropical paradise to be in. Especially those nature walks they feel like a big quiet garden.

The location to parks is fabulous, as is service at pool, housekeeping, and restaurants. VERY pricey across the board. Nice gathering/lounge areas to play cards, watch sports games. Housekeeping was attentive and quick with requests. Empty drink glasses, leftover wrappers, etc need to be better kept on top of in gathering areas. Pool people were friendly, great lifeguard supervision, and easy access to water taxi and path to City Walk and parks.

Location is awesome. 8 minute walk to the park and dumps you out right in citywalk next to margaritaville. Perfect. No line to get through security. Front desk service was awesome. Valet was great. Rooms were clean and everything worked. Highly recommend.

The location for getting to Universal Orlando & Studios parks was fantastic! Just a quick walk or boat ride away. The hotel options, restaurants, service, & staff were phenomenal. The rooms are nice. For a couple it was enough space, but an extended trip with more than 2-3 kids, you’d want to get - suite or 2 adjoining rooms. There’s great water pressure in the shower, solid furniture, the in room amenities were good.

We loved this resort. We stayed four nights Nov 2025. We had a basic room with king bed. The room was very quiet and great for us. The only gripe was the TV. It was old school cable or satellite. No streaming and you cannot mirror your phone of laptop to stream. We thought it was kind for lane for a place at this price point. We have stayed at Aventura many times, and thought Royal Pacific would be like that. Nope. No big deal really, we didn’t come to watch TV anyway. ||The grounds are beautiful. Made us think of Hawaii. The gym was great, used it multiple times. The pool was great as well. We used the water taxi to get to the parks and we loved it. We didn’t eat at any onsite restaurants, though they looked nice.

Staying at Loews Royal Pacific Resort is essentially a "cheat code" for Universal Orlando. Being within a quarter mile walk of all three parks completely shifted my perspective, it’s now clear that the convenience of a premium resort far outweighs the minor savings of a budget hotel. ​While it’s no surprise that luxury comes at a higher price, the real revelation is how much time and frustration you bypass. At the cheaper resorts, you’re often stuck on a cramped, standing bus. At Royal Pacific, you simply enjoy a peaceful boat ride or a short stroll. The inclusion of the Unlimited Express Pass is the ultimate game changer, allowing us to hit every single attraction in just one day. ​However, the experience isn't without its flaws. While the service is top tier, the rooms are due for a technology update to keep pace with modern standards. Additionally, the soundproofing could be better, as you’ll likely hear the echoes of people walking and talking in the corridors throughout the night and early morning. ​Even with those minor drawbacks, Royal Pacific remains the "best bang for your buck." Between the seamless park access and the onsite restaurants that go above and beyond for special occasions, it is easily one of the best experiences I’ve had at Universal. There's also a duck who lives in the pool. 😂

Royal Pacific is my favorite premiere resort at Universal Orlando. I like the proximity to the parks, the lobby is beautiful, and the rooms are nicely decorated, clean, and functional. I highly recommend that Royal club lounge if it is within your budget. There are ample offerings in terms of food, snacks, adult beverages, and regular beverages. The express pass is such a great benefit. The staff are extremely nice and really make you feel welcome.

After much research we found the Royal Pacific Resort to be the best value. With the room rate, tickets, express pass, walking distance to the park, and riverboat access this was a Great choice. Upon arrival we we're able to return our airport rental in the lobby and our room was upgraded to a better room with great view at no additional charge. Our room was clean, quiet, modern and the walk in shower was nice. The staff were all friendly, knowledgeable and attentive to our needs throughout our stay. Their charter bus to Orlando International worth every dollar. We highly recommend the Royal Pacific and will definitely stay there again.

Our family went on a vacation to Universal studios for a week and decided to stay at Loews Royal Pacific Resort. It was such a nice hotel and we had a great view of the park from our room. The room was very nice and comfortable for our family of 4. Everyone at the front desk were very helpful and nice I liked the Asian like environment of the hotel. It had 3 restaurants and a mini food shop. Food was expensive but good. Our 2nd night, we had a luau at the hotel and we ended up purchasing the VIP tickets so we could sit at the front. I've never been to a luau , so this was a wonderful experience for all of us. The staff handed out lays and we were escorted to our table. They had a buffet with Hawaiian dishes and then American foods for the children. They even had a roasted pig , which was really good. There was a show that had stories about the different islands ; Samoa , Hawaii, etc. the performers also recognized individuals birthdays and special occasions. It was definitely worth going to the luau They had an open bar and unlimited mai Thai drinks as well. We didn't go to the pool during our stay because we had a tropical storm that came through , but the pool was very nice and big. They had a restaurant located by the pool called Bullas bar and grill. We didn't get to try it during our stay. We had breakfast at the Islands restaurant , which had a pretty decent buffet and we had dinner which was really good. This resort is enormous. I drove there following Google maps and just like many many others we were directed to exit and make the next left. Due to Google maps they need a permanent person to redirect here. I parked into self parking. I was very close to the hotel. The hotel looks very large beautiful and modern. All the rooms have 2 queen beds. The rooms are not very spacious for the rest but it's modern and clean. The water resort was nice and has slides. Front desk was suuuuper friendly and went out of their way helping me with getting out of the parking garage when there was an issue. Very nice hotel! But not cheap to park or valet!

The prices are not cheap. I am told we were in the hotel closest to the park. It was a seven-minute walk to the City Walk; then you entered the park. If walking is not your thing, they have a boat to pick you up and take you to the City Walk. Here are a couple of thoughts I would like to share. First, we were given the Florida resident discount for the two rooms. Mrs. K. and I just had to check into them. The kids stayed in one, and we in another. The second is tickets were included with the price of the hotel. Not just any tickets but the fast pass tickets. You have your lane to get to the attractions quickly. I was impressed with the service they provided, from the moment you arrived until the time you left. It was always top-notch.

Beautiful stay. Enjoyed the details. The nature outside of our room window was relaxing. Beds were comfy. Service was great! Restaurants on site were delicious.

Beautiful walkway into the resort and a stunning lobby. Very spacious, clean, and elegant. Our room took a long time to get ready for check in, and when we finally got upstairs, the room smelled like chlorine and cleaning spray. It was a bit nauseating, and we didn't even have a window to open to let the room air out. For $700+ a night, you would expect some type of open window or even balcony. But it's ok. The bathroom is pretty small too with only one sink. The beds and pillows were fine. It's also super close to the city walk and both Universal theme parks, just a 8-10 minute walk. You can also ride the boats but that can be a long wait. Overall, decent stay, but would not stay here again unfortunately.

While pricey, the benefits of staying at this high end hotel are totally worth it! We had a King 1 bedroom Suite and it was perfect for our family of 4 - my husband and I shared the king bed and my 2 daughters shared the sofa sleeper in the other room. The hotel is recently renovated and the rooms are modern and comfortable. All of the suites are located next to the elevator but to our pleasant surprise it wasn't noisy at all. The hotel is in walking distance to both parks - about 10-20min depending how fast of a walker you are. We walk fast so made it in 10min. You can also take the water taxi for free. The water taxi also runs to the other Lowe's hotel if you want to eat dinner there. Orchid Court, the sushi lounge & restaurant at this hotel is super yummy! The best benefit of this hotel are the free unlimited express pass (fast pass skip get in the special shorter lines as opposed to having to wait in the regular lines). That benefit was soooooo useful and more than paid off the higher price of this hotel!

Decided to stay here when traveling to Florida to go to Universal and was definitely happy with the choice , The hotel was nice and I loved the Hawaiian Tahitian theme they have a great pool and decor throughout the hotel. One of the great benefits is the unlimited express pass for each person in the room which is so amazing when you can skip all the lines for every single ride in both parks except for Hagards motorbike , we were able to ride all rides in both parks in less then a full day , it's also just a short walk from the parks along the river or you can take the water taxi which is pretty quick as well. Overall definitely a nice hotel to stay at for families and singles as well .

Do they quite have the atmosphere of the Disney hotels, no. But for the cost I think the options at Universal are very competitive, especially if you plan on spending 2-3 days at the Universal parks. My family has made this switch for at least part of our Orlando vacations over the last few years. Royal Pacific boasts a beautiful pool area and some truly enjoyable dining options including the Islands Dining Room. Theme-wise, this might be Universal's best and having both the boat and walkway link to the parks is a huge advantage. However, I think the value at Sapphire Falls makes it a more popular option for my family.

Ate at Jake's, when visiting family at this hotel. My food was good but everyone else seemed to think their food lacked. On top of that, orders were wrong/items were missing, etc so it was just kind of a mess. Our servers did bring us the missing pieces to our meals so all was right with the world eventually, but it was slightly annoying to begin with. I do recommend the wings and the salmon though, I really did like them!

I'm putting out another 5 star this week and it's for the Royal Pacific Specifically how good the stuff is here - from reception to valet to concierge The concierge text message system makes changing dining reservations so easy and with such a great staff Rooms very clean Of course get fast pass unlimited complimentary And best location to park and city walk This is a must stay

Nothing but great things to say about this hotel. We had such an amazing stay. Everyone was top notch, rooms and grounds all pristine. It felt like everyone genuinely cared about creating a wonderful experience (well maybe except Sean at luggage services, I may have caught him on the wrong day). I thought prices were "resort fair" and the proximity to the park is amazing. You can't miss the Hulk roller coaster on your way out, which is a nice reminder of the six rides we took on it the day before. Food options were great, and the pool was very nice. The Tuk Tuk market was understaffed for the volume, but suppose that's the norm for Florida.

This is our 2nd trip to a universal hotel, and we are blown away with the lack of quality with the whole hotel, when we entered our room and took off our shoes, the carpet thru half the room is soaked, the sink in the bathroom take 30min to drain, our tv is stuck in Spanish and blind mode that we are now on our 2nd tech coming up to fix it maybe again? We ordered room service and the forgot one of the 2 items. We were excited to sprang our 8th anniversary dinner at The Island restaurant, we had the buffet with almost no one in the restaurant it took 25min to get our wok food that was poorly cooked on portable butane grills, with a line of 20 ppl waiting behind us, even our waitress was apologizing, and the premade boxed desserts. It's only night one we are scared to spend 2 more nights here.

I was contacted by a very kind, gracious and professional staff member after sending a detailed letter regarding my complaint. She was sincerely apologetic and let me know that corrective action was taken regarding the "no reply" email. I can now highly recommend this resort!

Royal Pacific is the Universal equivalent of Disney's Polynesian, but with a little less effort and character. That being said, the resort is pretty and pristine - it was so clean and the only place that wasn't was the bathrooms at the pool (which honestly is kind of to be expected). The staff at check-in and the bell stand were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Our room wasn't ready (we arrived at 11am), but we were able to enjoy the pool, and were able to check in before 4pm. The rooms are nice and ours was larger than I expected. The bed was ok - not what I expected for a deluxe resort. The bathroom was nice and very clean, but the toiletries they provide are just awful and not up to par with the caliber and price of the resort. We had nicer toiletries at a bottom-level Hilton property in the days proceeding. At this level, there should be a quality provided shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc. Compared to other resorts I've stayed at, I would have expected better pool amenities, but I didn't miss them on this trip. If we'd have our kids with us (11 and 13), they would probably have gotten bored at this pool as there are no water slides or activists for older kids other than volleyball. We, like many other adults, really enjoyed the volleyball and it was pretty much utilized by adults all day. There's tons of seating and the lounger towels are awesome! The pool staff are on their game with offering drinks, food, refills, etc. The drinks were ok, but I wish they'd had some more unique options that weren't just sugar-covered alcohol. The real reason to stay at this resort is the express passes and early park entrance. But even with those amenities, this resort falls a bit short of a deluxe resort for me. Still, we will likely return with our kids and consider this resort again. Other fun perks are the walking path and bits to City Walk, which is actually really close. I also want to call out the staff at the Tuk Tuk store in the lobby. They were so friendly and helpful! And quite unexpectedly - the ham and cheese breakfast burrito available in the morning was AWESOME. the eggs were fluffy, cheesy and the hame was different but delicious!

A very nice hotel. Definitely above your average resort experience. We only had a couple items that were less then top notch. The seal on our door did not keep out much hallway noise and one of our pool side chairs we sat in initially had broken straps under our butts and mid back. The staff were nothing short of amazing and extremely friendly. Probably of all our resorts we have visited in our lives this was a solid second in service from the staff. Second only to an all inclusive resort in Saint Lucia. This resort understands and exemplifies how to treat their guests. Our accommodations were very nice, clean and they seem to have an understanding that continually maintaining a resort is the key to a great guest experience.

Very nice resort! Stayed here for a conference and the convenience of being so close to universal was a plus, wish I had more time to go to the parks! I also understand you get a "fast pass" on rides with the hotel stay. Only con was we ordered food we never received and got charged for it

At the beginning of August we spent a week in Orlando. We decided we wanted a hotel near to Universal. Enter Loews Royal Pacific. First, the hotel is beautiful the lobby is open and airy. The front desk staff were so accommodating and kind. After check in we headed over to the vacation desk. There we received special passes so that we could not only enter the park early, but partake of the express line for the rides! The Express Pass and early admission are a perk of staying at Loews! Transportation to the park couldn't be easier. They have a wonderful water taxi that runs all day except in inclement weather. If you're not in the mood for a boat ride, there's a lovely walking path that takes about 10 minutes if you're a slow poke like myself. We ordered room service several times and each time it was beautifully presented and so delicious. In the morning there was a breakfast buffet that was incredible and had something for everyone. While the food in the park was hit or miss; the food in the hotel was exceptional. We dined in their sushi restaurant The Orchid Lounge and were impressed with the service and the quality of the food. When you're ready to unwind after a long day at the parks their pool is the perfect place to unwind. They have a wait staff from the Bula Bar and Grill that can bring food right to your lounge chair. They play movies for the kids and have a "ship" area that has splash pads and waterfalls. Our room was beautiful and was roomy enough for the four of us to comfortably exist together. As if all of that wasn't enough there is a coffee shop that offers cooked and cold items as well as an assortment of beverages. The only reason I took off a star was out of a minor security concern. The door to the elevators was not locked and in fact the lock was missing. This means that there is access to the room elevators at any time of day without a room key. Also, we had ordered Door Dash and the driver was allowed to gain access to the rooms at 6:30 in the morning. NOTE:The express passes that you receive are not valid for Volcano Bay. If you want an express pass there you have to pay out of pocket.

Great stay from our early check in to our late check out. It's a great place to stay if you plan to visit universal studios. It's only a 10 min walk or a vey short boat ride to the park . You can literally go to the hotel for short break or a cat nap before returning to the park. 100% recommend. This was my third time staying at this hotel. The first time I got a complimentary upgrade as a frontline health care work. It was a nice perk! The unlimited express pass that comes with the stay is an awesome benefit!!!

Overall, a great place to stay on property while visiting Universal Orlando. Valet service for the car is quick. Check in and out are easy. There is the usual lobby market that makes a quick drink or snack easy to access and the pricing is not terrible considering where you are. The rooms are decently sized. The beds are comfortable. The stay for a couple of nights was quiet. It is a little light on amenities, but it does cover the basics with a pool, gym, and restaurants. I never dined on site outside of getting a light meal for lunch at the pool. There I was a little disappointed as the drinks seem to be a bit on the light side, and you are kind of forced into the "souvenir" plastic wear, but obviously you do not need to take it home with you. The walk or the boat to City Walk (and the parks) is about equal in time so outside of maybe the Hard Rock this might be one of the closer hotels for that purpose.

If I hadn't stayed at this resort my Universal Studios experience would've been a lot different! The resort is priced pretty high but worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY! It is beautifully laid out and they have beautiful decor! They have great parking which is actually really expensive that part I didn't love. They have great breakfast with breakfast food and coffee to go in a little cafe era! They have water taxi's to take you to and from Universal AND the BEST PART! When you stay at a Universal resort your room key turns into an express pass for both Adventure Island and Universal! It makes a big difference, we went when it wasn't nearly as busy but it made a big difference! The express pass is worth every penny!

Loews Royal Pacific was the perfect getaway during our Christmas adventures this year! My husband and I decided to go away to Universal for Christmas this year and stay at this resort. We booked through a travel agent and so she set everything up for us. We were placed in a standard king room that was located on the 4th floor in the 1st tower. We had an excellent view of the canal that has the transportation boats running through it. Upon check-in we were fabulously greeted and welcomed by Bianca. She was able to check us in early in the morning & ensure we got to the park for early hours to make the most of our tickets. I absolutely love that there is a vacation planning desk where you're able to purchase tickets, pick up tickets, purchase lanyards, photos, refillable mugs, etc. It makes getting into the park absolutely a breeze! We also enjoyed that upon check-in we could leave our bags at the hotel instead of worrying about them in our car. The gift shop is a nice touch to be able to buy universal souvenirs without the crowds at the parks. We absolutely loved the Tuk Tuk Market and being able to grab a quick snack or coffee. The lobby and resort itself were both beautifully decorated for the holiday. Our room was clean, comfortable, and up to date. We loved the decoration on the walls. Staff cleaning/caring for the rooms were friendly and they did an excellent job always making our room look nice! We used the perk of purchasing items in the park and having them sent back to our room. At the time we did this we didn't have an assigned room number yet, but they somehow still found the right room to deliver too- such a nice added bonus!! We didn't get to spend much time at the pool since it was so cold during our stay here- but the time that we did go we found it quite relaxing. The pool was warm enough to dip our feet into anyway! We have already decided that we can't wait to come back and stay at Loews Royal Pacific again in the future!

I like how you can check in early online so when you go to the lobby just show your ID and pick up your room keys! It was cool to get a text early at 2pm saying my room is ready and not have to wait till 4pm for regular check in. I like how this resort you get complimentary express passes which you use on your room key! The room was nice and clean and I like how spacious the shower is! Love the multiple outlets around the room! They do have a free transportation from the resort to city walk either water taxi or you can walk which is only a 7 min walk! Also if you park your car here it's $29 per night

Staff were helpful and friendly everywhere at this hotel. Lobby was nice to hang around with many restaurants. Room was clean but I could hear foot steps from the ceiling. I thought a kid was stomping. Not the regular foot steps. Probably too much of excitement being here lol. Self parking was convenient and easy. Nothing to complain about this place. Military discount was amazing for the hotel and Universal Studios. I would definitely stay at this hotel if I ever come back. Pretty far to travel from CA :)

Everything from the moment we arrived was perfect. Check in was quick and easy. We arrived a few hours earlier than expected but we were able to leave our bags and still enjoy the rest of the amenities. Once the room was ready our bags were delivered to our room. We can't wait till our next visit.

What a great family vacation this turned out to be! We stayed at the Loews to be close to Universal's Islands of Adventure & City Walk, both just a easy 10 minute walk away or you can take the boat shuttle if you like. The hotel is nicely laid out with three towers for rooms and a central lobby area with restaurants, lounges & shops. The outside lagoon style pool was very relaxing to hang out at. The sand beach area is a nice touch! You can order drinks and food from poolside servers if you wish. The water was comfortably warm for mid-November which my grand daughter greatly appreciated. I personally loved the Orchid Court Lounge & Sushi Bar...modern style relaxing atmosphere, great sushi, craft drinks & and an impressive selection of Japanese Whiskey. I highly recommend the KAIYo cask strength whiskey. The breakfast at the Islands restaurant on the ground floor was very good but more expensive than if you just grabbed breakfast sandwiches & coffee from the Tuk Tuk Marketplace. Hotel staff was polite & professional. Price wise we spent a lot of money but it was not out of line with other area hotels that offered the same level of amenities & service. I definitely recommend this hotel for an enjoyable getaway. Travel Tip: If you go to Islands of Adventure, you absolutely have to go on the VelociCoaster & Hulk Coaster. These roller coasters are Awesome!

Beautiful resort. Beautiful pool area. Did a great job with the Bali theme. Though they charged me for overly priced expensive waters and things that were never touched or opened in the room and I had to call and get my card credited and was told it was an accident and a "restocking error". I'm sure they do this all the time for the extra money. Make sure to read your receipt of charges after checkout. Also, every basic hotel has a microwave in the room, if not then at least downstairs near check in. Nope, if it's not already a resort and they want to charge $15 for a microwave delivery service, lol. We didn't use it much obviously since we were always out but if you need one for a late night they want to take your every dollar lol but hey it's a universal resort so. Loved the beautiful walk way to the water taxi also, made you feel like you're in an exotic place. Water taxis were super convenient and quick to get to the city walk.

The hotel is bright, clean and very spacious. The pool was also fun and big enough to enjoy a nice afternoon there. My most favorite part was its proximity to the parks and Universal City Walk. I was lucky enough to stay in the Jurassic themed kids suite. I understand this hotel still caters to mostly people with families so there is some luxury that needs to be sacrificed. The rooms were above average. I was a bit disappointed with the room's bathroom which felt very standard and didn't even have a vent. However, I found the common spaces such as the lobby, pool and restaurants to be very luxurious feeling. I loved the big space and fine detail in the decor and furniture. Everything was on point and made me feel like I was in Hawaii. The hotel staff were really kind and accommodating. They even put out water bottles for guests to enjoy on a table in the lobby. The positives to me about the hotel were: the close location to the parks, the pool and it's fruity tropical drinks, and bright & consistent atmosphere.

Great room with incredibly comfortable beds. Like seriously so so soft and nice. Rooms are very cool and staff is very friendly, they offer vacation services which will print your tickets and help with anything you need. Valet parking and dog park included

I will start by saying we are annual pass holders and come up to Universal monthly. We normally stay at Sapphire Falls and Adventura which are by far the best all around. We decided this time to try Royal Pacific and we're honestly disappointed in most aspects. Pros: 1. You get fast passes for the parks which does save you a lot of money in the long run. 2. It's only a short walk to city walk and the parks which is nice. Cons: 1. Rooms are outdated and beds feel old. Just an outdated vibe all around. 2. Pool smells of sulfur and the stench is awful (at least I hope that's what the smell is). 3. Rooms are way over priced compared to other onsite hotels and are room wasn't available until 5:30, even though we checked in at 11. I get the fact normal checkin is at 4, but we requested early check in and the other hotels on grounds always accommodate. I wouldn't say 5:30 is even close to the 4pm checkin. Overall if you are planning on staying on grounds at universal go with sapphire or adventura! Sapphire isn't worth the money unless you absolutely need fast passes.

We will always stay here every time we were at Universal. The service was excellent. The people were awesome. The building was immaculate. The food was good definitely will stay here again. Love that they give you the fast pass included with your stay. That's a must for sure and it's a very short walk to the park and overall great experience.

09.02 Stayed with family for a long holiday weekend. Room and pool was smaller than Cabana Bay's but I love that the water taxi is right outside the doorstep. It's also a shorter walk to City Walk and park. About 8-10 min from the dock. Several restaurants at the hotel as well as a breakfast buffet and a Starbucks. Room was decent sized, had 2 queen and a roll up bed. Had to admit it was a bit tight for a family of 5 but we were at the park most of the day. Disappointed no microwave in the room.

DO NOT stay here. They will steal your valuables and security is in on it. Housekeeping goes in takes your items and security covers it up by not even investigating and claiming they don't know what could've happened

I have been to Orlando a handful of times, but never stayed in a resort directly connected to one of the theme parks. It was so easy to walk over to the parks! I came for a work event so spent most of our time within the resort event spaces. Beautiful resort with large rooms and great bars/food options right on site. With it being a work event, I was put in a room right next to screaming kids and also next to the busy lobby elevator. Obviously this isn't the front desk's fault, but it was difficult to sleep due to the noise. Perhaps there being some sort of quiet hours or having families being in one area of the resort would have helped? Not sure, but if I had a more quiet nighttime experience I would've given 5 stars! Staff was kind, resort was clean, but it's a busy spot so being there was work was a little more difficult.

So much to say about this hotel. We'll start with the good. The staff was generally quite friendly, the hotel itself is quite pretty. If you're going to the parks every day, staying here can definitely make sense. As others have mentioned your room key is a Unlimited Express Pass for rides in the park-you get one for every person staying in your room. Also, taking the water taxi (boat) to the parks and having your own private hotel security line makes getting into the parks so much faster and easier. We found the gym quite adequate and roomy. The pool area is also very pretty. However kind of small-do not expect a huge resort pool here. Now-the not so good. The rooms are small for a 2 Queen room-I really feel these rooms were made for one King bed and not 2 Queens. The bathroom itself is very small-only one sink and not much countertop space. The toilet/shower room is VERY small-if you need privacy for changing clothes from the rest of your party forget about it. Also the toilet/shower room only has a sliding door with no lock. So there's not even anything to grab onto/brace yourself against when trying to get dressed. I fell twice. There is also NO bathtub-only a shower. If you have small children this is definitely an issue. The beds are hard and uncomfortable and in desperate need of new mattresses. I noticed the hotel charges over $20 per movie for in room entertainment. At other Loews hotels onsite such as Loews Surfside Hotel (read: much cheaper hotel) these movies are FREE entertainment. The restaurants in the hotel are very expensive-which is to be expected. However, as someone who went to culinary school I don't think the food was good at all. It was cheap, mass produced and then incredibly overpriced. Their quick service food option Tuk Tuk Market is really a joke. Very few options and nowhere to heat up the food you purchase. When inquiring where to find a communal microwave to heat up food we purchased we were told there is NO communal microwave. The hotel staff then offered to rent one to us for $15/day. I replied that we could purchase one from Target for cheaper for the duration of our 9 night stay. Eventually staff offered us a microwave in our room complimentary-but only because I complained. I certainly didn't expect a microwave in my room for free but if you're going to sell food people need to warm up you should have some kind of microwave access. All in all I enjoyed staying at their (much cheaper) Surfside hotel so much more. We have also stayed at Dockside, Portofino Bay, and their Cabana Bay hotels. I enjoyed them all much more than this hotel. As someone who didn't come to go to the parks every single day of my trip I found the hotel quite frustrating. Instead of being able to eat onsite because of their limited food options (it seems like each restaurant serves kind of the same food with a slight twist-the only exception being the Sushi Bar) I had to have food delivered every night. i still have four more nights in this hotel and I'm honestly quite ready to leave. If my husband wasn't here for a work event we would switch hotels. I'd like to note that "service staff" such as valet, bell services, housekeeping, and even front desk were all incredibly helpful and kind. My issues with the hotel are really on a much deeper level.

Overall our experience at Universal Orlando-Loews Pacific was great. The check in process was easy and I love how they have a dedicated luggage area so you can hit the park shortly after check in if your room isn't ready. The lobby is beautiful and makes you feel like you are on vacation in a more tropical location. Our room was clean and spacious, plenty big enough for two people but may be cramped had we had additional guests with us. The employees are all super friendly and provided excellent customer service. Some things that made me not give it 5 stars...1. None of the usb plug worked in our room and I mean not a single one. Also, the plug-ins were all too big for our prongs and anything we plugged in, slipped out. The only wall socket that was usable was the one in the bathroom area. 2. When I booked I requested certain accommodations. We were asked at check in if we wanted to wait for said accommodations since they didn't have any rooms that met our needs available. We said yes and were told they'd text us once the room was ready. Later in the afternoon we were informed that our room was finally ready but had to go back to the front desk to get reissued key cards. Once we went up to the room, it was not what we had requested. I'm not the complaining type, so we didn't say anything since since it didn't really affect our overall accommodations. Other than those two misses, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful resort with cool tropical themes throughout. The rooms are basic, nothing special. You're really paying for the location (less than 10 min walk to each park!) and the express passes included with your room which was absolutely worth it. Stayed with my family of 5 in a 2 queen with a rollaway bed. Would stay again!

I have reviewed the restaurants we went to so look for those! As for the hotel, ever member of the staff were not only helpful, each one went above and beyond. From the maids to the managers, everyone knew the asking, make the guests feel special! They all had smiles, were willing to help with apps and tickets, along with recommendations for dinning and places in the area that weren't the best for kids. The reason for the 3 stars: 1. The beds! None of us got a good night's sleep because the beds were so uncomfortable. The pillows had no support and neck aches we all had were horrible. Maybe they should add a spa so people can get the knots worked out. 2. The pool is tiny so if you are looking for a great pool they have better hotel options! 3. The boat operators, im not sure whom they belong to, the hotel or an outside intity, but damn they were rude, and it was ALL of them! If driving a boat is not your thing, please do us all a favor and do something else! 4. The game room was horrible. Only part half the air holes in the air hockey were blowing out air. The room looked unkempt and over all gross! I've stayed in cheaper places with better games rooms. 5. She shower handle broke and after 1 call and a text they finally fixes it. Overall the people and food were great! If you are wanting a good night's sleep, find a holiday inn.

I should qualify this review that ultimately, my family and I enjoyed the trip of a lifetime, traveling cross country for over a month, which included a three day stay at this resort hotel. I think it's also fair to say that one could easily write a five star review for this place, as it definitely was the nicest hotel we stayed in during our entire 9000 mile journey. All that said, there were a few things about our experience that might have been improved, but ultimately did not take away from our great time: 1. As previously mentioned, we were driving cross-country from Los Angeles to Key West and back home by a completely different route. We were also towing a 25 foot camper trailer. for several months before we left, and having already made reservations and purchased universal tickets, phone calls to the Universal Orlando hotline resulted in strikingly different answers about our ability to park at the resort. The first few times I called, we got very different answers than the ultimate response... And reality... That we were able to park on property. Instead, several people really did not seem to know anything about parking, with one CSR even telling me that our best bet was to leave our camper at a nearby state park, as it would not fit in the lot. When I called that state park, they scolded me and said they were not sure why Universal kept telling people that, as they did not provide the service. panicking a little bit as we had purchased nonrefundable tickets, we ultimately learned from some managers manager that we could leave our camper hooked up and park in their lot. That said, upon arrival, we learned that the parking lot was a good 3/4 of a mile walk to our room. No, I'm not exaggerating. The only place we could leave a truck and trailer was in the absolute back corner of their parking lot. Speaking of size and distance, the resort is pretty substantial, and if you are a first time visitor like we were, it was pretty easy to get lost trying to find your way. The lobby is located on the third floor, and at any given time walking around the external parts of the property, you can find yourself pretty turned around. I know this is user error, but this is my Yelp review, not an IQ test. When we checked in, the young man behind the counter was extraordinary. Very friendly, helpful, and helped us facilitate our tickets and fast passes. Speaking of, this particular resort offered a fast pass with ticket package, unlike some of the other resort possibilities. He also offered us our choice of level for our room, and of course we picked the highest one. As luck would have it, our view was of the theme parks and sunset, which was a bonus. The room was well appointed, but small for a family of five. Like so many other places, we made it work with the two queen beds in the room, and the bathroom with towels for three or four people. Nothing a trip to the pool can't help... Speaking of pools, this resort had a pretty nice pool, with Universal/DreamWorks movies at night shown on the big screen, allowing the kids and adults to float around and watch the movie. This was, of course, after all of the thunder and lightning had left the area, which effectively shut down all outdoor attractions including the pools. Somewhere in Florida, you Gotta know what you're getting into. On one of our evenings, we had planned early to enjoy dinner at the sushi bar in the hotel, and inquired about reservations early. We were told by two different staff that we would not need a reservation, and just to walk up. This could not have been more incorrect, as the first thing they asked us at the restaurant was if we had a reservation. Pleading my case that we were told we would not need one was largely ineffective, and it took us an hour and 15 minutes to be seated. Could've been worse I suppose. But that hour and 15 minutes would have been better spent in the park after dinner. The water taxi was very close to this hotel, but in truth, we never took it during our stay, instead choosing to walk to and from the different parks. To end this as we started it, we absolutely had a wonderful time during our universal Orlando stay. As annual pass holders at Universal Studios Hollywood, we thoroughly enjoyed the similarities and differences between the two parks, and certainly cannot wait to visit Orlando again. Notably, we would absolutely stay here again, but perhaps a little more knowledgeable about what we are getting into, and limitations of what this place is and is not.

Loews Royal Pacific Resort is a on-site, premier resort, through Universal Studios. This is by far one of the best vacation packages that my family has ever booked. We booked the vacation package through Universal Orlando's website and decided to stay at Loews Royal Pacific Resort during June. One of the best features of staying at the resort is the Universal Express Unlimited Pass. You an also get early admission to Universal Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios. This hotel has a lot of amenities and it's huge! There are several restaurants located on site and the market, Tuk Tuk, is actually one of the highlights to the Resort. It has everything you need from drinks, fruits, sandwiches, ice cream, hot foods and much more! There can be a line, especially towards the end of the evening when the theme parks close up. There are several gift shops, a gym, and a bar. We didn't workout during our stay, but the gym facility looked nice. A lot of machines and free weights were available. The pool was another nice perk to staying at the resort. It was relatively large and there is a lot of seating. The pool also has sand for kids to play with! My daughter really enjoyed the pool. Hours can vary though due to storms. If there is lightning in the area, the pool will shut down. Our room was located next to the lobby area. We had a suite with a king bed, pull out sofa in the living area, kitchen space, and one shared bathroom. The rooms were not cleaned daily. We had to request towels each day, which wasn't a problem. Loews Royal Pacific Resort gave you a number to text all of the items you needed for your room. They would then deliver it in a bag and provide it to you. There were several times we ran out of soaps etc.. but the service was quick, approximately one hour to receive the towels and soaps. Check-in was after 4:00 P.M. Our flight was delayed and we actually didn't arrive to the hotel until 3:00 A.M. We called the hotel several times to inform them that we were running late. When we had arrived, the manager was already waiting for us. The entrance to the hotel is absolutely stunning. It is wide open, plenty of seating available outside and inside. It's really easy to get to the theme parks from the hotel. You can walk over to it or you can take the boat to Universal City Walk. We tried to take the boat as much as possible. It was nice to view the scenery. The walk is pretty awesome too, but after treking around Universal all day, it's nice to take a break. My family really enjoyed staying at this hotel. We would book another vacation package again here!

Booked this resort for 4 days during our visit to Universal Studios. We ended up booking their king suite. In regards to the resort, it's beautiful and customer service is great. Everyone was very helpful. The resort is very clean and large. It is also conveniently located near universal studios. You are able to take a boat to universal studios or walk there. Unfortunately when we arrived the boat was not in use for about 2 days, so we walked the other 2 days. The walk is about a 10 minute walk to universal studios and the walk is beautiful. I also like the fact that when you book through this resort, the fast pass is included which is a major plus! We were able to get on the rides several times and skip the lines at universal studios. You also cant beat early entrance to islands of adventure! We were able to get on the velocicoaster twice! As for our room, our room was clean, but mediocre for what I paid. If I stay here again, I think I will be booking just a regular room, the up charge was not worth it in my experience. Room was simple, standard and nothing special about it. The bar has very good drinks for which I highly recommend if you have the chance to visit. The pools are small, I wish they had bigger pools! Unfortunately, we had left our AirPods when we checked out. Thank goodness for tracking! We had called the resort to see if anyone had reported them to lost and found, they were not reported. If it wasnt for tracking from apple, we had found out they were stolen by an employee. So ensure to lock your expensive items. Thankfully, security was fantastic about this incident and we were able to have our AirPods returned to us. This was the only downfall about the resort. But overall, I was not impressed by their rooms. The resort was decent, very clean, the fast pass and the proximity to universal studios is a major plus!

Oh how I've been spoiled with the club rooms that have lounge access. Everyone that works the lounge has always been amazing and goes up and beyond. The club rooms are on top floor with the lounge. The kids and adults love being a grab a bottle of water or even a caffeine pick me up throughout the day. It's such a great respite to be able to pop in between adventures at the park. Plus you can't beat getting express passes for everyone in the room (up to 5 if you pay for the rollaway). The lobby and grounds are stunning. I love all the attention to detail especially the wood working. You can easily walk or take a boat to the parks. I recommend walking if you are going to Islands as the walk way pops you out right next to it. The boat is closer to the Universal entrance. We will be back even as locals because it makes such a lovely staycation! Kudos to all staff as they were all warm and welcoming!

We have planned this trip for years looking to use every part of the resort, just to find out the pool has been closed down the entire time we have been here! Even saw life guard swimming and having a grand time this morning. Absolutely ridiculous, this place needs to get their crap together, definitely owe some people an apology! Sickening.

This hotel is exceptionally clean and an oasis. The signature scent will transport you... in a good way. The staff are friendly and professional. Sushi at orchid lounge was of high quality. Breakfast at islands a winner for all family members. Also enjoyed dinner at islands which had a great Asian fusion menu with large portions and artist plating. Wide range room service menu, which was also reasonably priced. My son and I enjoyed watching a movie from the pool. Water taxi's are very convenient. Stay in tower 3 or 1 to be closest. Daily housekeeping which in my opinion is lacking at most hotels. We will return yearly.

The best value for Universal park stays since it includes transportation and unlimited express pass. If you're a season pass holder, you get 30% off bookings if you call. Didn't get to try the pool or hot tub since they close just after the parks do - another hour would be nice to be able to soak in a hot tub after walking all day. Hot water in the showers is HOT and has great pressure. Rooms are still cleaned daily, even during COVID. Masks required in all common areas. Restaurants are good but expensive, especially compared to nearby city walk. Breakfast and coffee in the morning at Tuk Tuk market was quick and easy. No coffee makers in rooms. Great concierge - if you're staying here you get priority reservations and walk-in priority at in-park and city walk restaurants, especially helpful at Toothless!

I travel extensively for my job and mainly stay in Hilton and Holiday Inn properties. They are significantly less expensive than this Loews resort and superior in just about every way except access to the Universal parks. That's the only reason to stay here. The employees were very professional and the public areas of the Royal Pacific resort were lovely, but our room was not. The sink didn't drain and the beds were lumpy and broken. The sink was fixed promptly, but the beds were never resolved. The sides of each mattress were both broken down so there was a valley on each side of a hard mound in the middle. Very uncomfortable, and I woke often throughout the night. I'm typing this while lying on an incredibly comfortable Holiday Inn Express mattress that is costing $500 less a night. We'll return to Loews Portafino next time, but not to this one.

Royal Pacific is second only to Portofino, IMO, but it's location and convenience over Portofino make it a very close second. Royal Pacific is just a quick walk over to the UOR land parks and express unlimited is included with your stay. That's a huge benefit! The lobby is just lovely. My kids loved the sushi lounge. We could have hung out there all night. The pool is a lot of fun and never felt crowded. Customer service is great and we have only ever had great experiences here.

Our favorite on-site hotel. It's open, airy and bright. Staff is great and check-in was easy. Pool is good with lots of lounge chairs and towels. Walk to the parks and CityWalk is about 10 minutes. Will be staying here again!

We stayed 2 nights here in late May. The positive benefits to staying here outweighed the negatives, but if it weren't for the proximity to the park and the included Universal Unlimited Express Passes, I'd have to give this place a hard pass at this price point. The mattress on my bed was in desperate need of retirement, and for almost $600 a night I expected better. I was shocked to find that the gym closes at 10pm, when a rude staffer barged in and shouted at everyone "WE'RE CLOSED!!!" ending my workout earlier than expected. Early gym hours are inconvenient for sure when you're at the park all day but I could have done without that rude interaction. My friend and his family booked a room too and he discovered that a carton of cigarettes had been stolen from his luggage while we were out. None of the expensive electronics were missing... go figure. Management "handled" the situation with a small refund to his booking fee. I had a better hotel experience the week prior to arriving in Orlando at a Hyatt in Baltimore at $150 a night. If you weigh in the overall cost of buying Universal Express Passes for a family of 4 then staying here makes a lot of sense. At a much cheaper offseason or FL resident price I can see staying at this place being attractive. As it was I can only say that my stay at Loews Pacific "worked out"... until 10pm that is.

This is the best hotel in Orlando. Cornell at the front desk is amazing. The experience at Royal pacific makes a vacation worth having.
