Löffelbar

Löffelbar is our favorite lunch spot in Germany. Perfect for breakfast/lunch. The best egg benedicts! Delicious coffee. Last year we visited Düsseldorf and löffelbar and the food was really delicious, nice staff, good atmosphere. This year, this was the same. Also we saw the same lady working there. Prices are also really good. We recommend!

I asked for a heavy cocktail. They brought me a cocktail which not only not heavy was but they charged extra ( for the extra alcohol). The salad was good . But anyway it is not a place for me to visit again

A relatively nice place to try. I was recommended by a friend to try Löffelbar, and the food was ok. Ordered the egg Benedict and a set called Hägar, Hägar was better due to the variety of food in it. Benidit was ok, but cannot rank top 5 at my list. The service lady was nice but maybe too busy and took some time to order. If you come at weekend, better to reserve beforehand since it can get very crowded.

Nice for breakfast or brunch meets with friends and/ or family. Quality of food is good and I can recommend pancakes here - at least that’s what I had and it was really good. Service was good but it was very hectic and bus that day so you could tell they were stressed and were not the friendliest. But overall a good experience. If it is busy some tables are really close to each other so the seating is very crammed.

The breakfast here was made really well. Lots of taste and flavour. Poached eggs were made just right. I got the Eggs Benedict salmon and friends got the Eggs Benedict avocado - we all had a positive review of the food. The coffee was also fantastic.

A good place for a coffee. I find the rest overpriced since the service leaves a lot to be desired. Please ask for a proper bill since the waiter just added everything manually and gave himself a ca..8-10% Tip. We really should have challenged it but somehow didn't. I'm tired of restaurants adding a surcharge on their own on top of the exorbitant pricing!

Great brunch place! Friendly and cosy ambience. Food and drinks are amazing. 10/10 would come again. The breakfast burger is just great, don’t miss it.

The quality of the food is amazing and i really like the taste of the food. I do recommend this place. The service could be better. It really feels like they are understaffed. And they could improve.

The food is really good, and they have breakfast until 4 p.m On sundays its a bit full but still worth it. Havent tried the burgers yet but the look so good as well.

I always happen to look inside to see the space and it's always crowded but the only thing is that they are just so goddamn RUDE to their customers. I get that Germany is not a service country, but honestly, you're in the service business, act like it. The food was fine and I wanted to like this place so much but it's hard for me to, because their service just sucks so much. We ended up walking in, nobody greeted us or helped us find a table so we just sat somewhere after standing there like idiots waiting for somebody to seat us, then the waiter clearly saw us and rolled his eyes when we asked for menus.....I mean..seriously? I can guess and just start ordering what I think you might serve but that's not how things work... The food was fine, and I should have ordered the breakfast menu but I ended up having a burger but to be honest, it was mediocre. I think at the end of it, we ended up tipping a couple of euros and the guy was actually shocked for the tip. It's like they already assume it's bad service. Never going back again. Btw if you want good breakfast we found a wonderful place around the corner with much friendlier service.

Very good place to have a brunch or a lunch with a huge menu : eggs Benedict, hamburger, pasta's, frustuck, salads, and à very nice service. Definitely a place where I will come back!

I really wish that this place didn't have such lousy service but alas. As German service goes, the standard, in my opinion is not very high to begin with. They do not greet customers as a rule and checking in to see if everything is ok is unheard of. However, they can usually be friendly enough and outright rudeness is not all that common, except here. The place is so cute and the menu is interesting if a little crunchy and green with poached eggs appearing on every bit of greenery. But they positively scowl when you enter, offer absolutely no help with the menu, put the food down like your mom after a bad day, and then make you wait till they are darn good and ready to take only cash of course. Oh and their internet may be free but positively unusable- which in a crowded place is understandable but in midday with only 3 or 4 tables, a little lingering with email and extra Milch Kaffee would be good for the bottom line. I guess I hate this place most just 'case it could be so good. A little friendliness would go a looooong way. But alas, I've tried my last time, you guys just stink. Ps Americans tip, you might wanna try being nice to us.

We had lunch here last Monday. The menu is pretty comprehensive, way too much to choose from if you are in a hurry. My colleagues had rice and curry chicken, omelette's, a cold gazpacho soup and I, myself, had turkey curry bamboo something soup. I can only judge for myself, but I liked my soup a lot. Along with it, I had Apple spritzers and an Espresso in the end. All in all, this place seems to be pretty popular because even though there are not so many offices near by, the place was literally packed during lunch. The service was very friendly - outrageously friendly if you are used to what they call service in Berlin. Price-wise - no idea. Didn't have to pay. But it seemed alright. :)

Löffelbar is a great place for breakfast and brunch. I wasn't there for lunch or dinner yet, but as it is always crowded especially in summer it is surely very good too. They serve breakfast/brunch until 4 pm on Sundays which is very good if you're a late riser :) The menu goes from sweet breakfast with croissant to full english breakfast, so everyone will find the right thing for them. I recommend to sit outside if possible, it is a very nice place. Prices are favourable, waiters are friendly and the Latte Macchatio is great.

we had soups, which were ok. They are bit random, mixing ingredients with no particular idea behind (shrimp, carrots, tomatoes etc.) Also the place refuses to serve tap water, which is always a big no go.

I come here often to meet friends for coffee or breakfast. It's nice because of the convenient location next to S-Bahn Zoo stop but nothing really special about the food or the drinks and the service is really a hit or a miss. I've had really sweet, friendly waitresses and some that are downright rude to the other patrons that it makes me uncomfortable to witness!

Love this place. Good atmosphere, burgers, salads and pastas. Good selections of beers and wine too

Great place for a quick breakfast lunch or dinner, good varied but simple menu.. Service is laid back and friendly, good value also.
