Had lunch here on a perfect sunny Saturday. Games were on a breeze was blown. Food was decent. Service amazing and the atmosphere was backyard cookout.

Google
First time visitor but definitely won't be my last! Can you say AMAZING ATMOSPHERE!!! This place is just beautiful. Plenty of outdoor space. Corn hole games are also outside. If you decide to sit outside I would say be mindful of the mosquitoes! They were horrible after the sun started to set. I had the chicken tacos, they were delicious although they don't have taco sauce or Salsa to go with the Tacos. Definitely would give this location a 10 out 10 just based on the atmosphere.

Google
Holy cow, this place is amazing! Wonderful smoked meat. I have the sausage and the brisket. Also have the macaroni and cheese and true Mexican corn. What a great treat! Also have a huge outdoor area that is fun to hang out in and what room here is that it’s dog friendly. You should come check it out!

Sunshyne T.

Google
This place is huge. I've come a few times with large groups from work. Outdoor ambiance is why you come. Games or TV. Drinks and good food.

My american burger didn't have a lot on it! Like a "whataburger or burgerking" size meat inside, one small slice tomato, onion and no pickles or mayo, mustard or ketchup! They gave me two packs of ketchup for my extra charge french fries (only possible to come with potato chips) not of your choice either! My wife chicken wings were close to raw with sauce on them. We both had one alcoholic beverage, hers was good. Place was too expensive for this type food!

Google
A chill place where dogs are welcome both inside and out, and the staff is patient even when you ask annoying questions (like whether there’s extra items off the menu—there isn’t). I ordered the brisket salad expecting something forgettable, but it showed up looking composed and tasted fancier than expected! The beer list is short, but they offered a frozen cocktail tasting, which was generous. I chose the least syrupy one, but even that slid into candy-sweet after a few sips. I just stopped by for a little bit while in town, but I would be a regular if I lived in the area!

Google
I’ve been wanting to try Loflin Yard for over a year after hearing so many rave reviews, and it did not disappoint! We stopped by with the family, and the atmosphere was perfect for a laid-back afternoon. The chicken wings were a hit with everyone, perfectly seasoned and juicy, and the grilled chicken sandwich was just as delicious. I personally loved the frozen Paloma—it was the perfect refreshing drink to enjoy while taking in the weekend and outdoor vibes (from inside in the AC). The service was friendly and quick, and we can’t wait to come back for another round. Highly recommend!

Google
We really enjoy going here because it is one of the few places that we to go eat that has options that we prefer. We eat vegetarian/vegan. We love the BBQ nachos with the Beyond Beef (vegetarian) and the Beyond Beef Sausage PoBoi (it has been out of stock lately but I hope they bring it back) it is the Vegan option and it is GOOD as well! Plus this is the way we discovered they have some of the BEST season fries 🍟. Love the drinks, the outside atmosphere, Jackie knows our order when she sees our faces... I highly recommend ✊✊✊

Yelp
Went there for a company catered meal gathering. The place is really cool with outdoor vibes and games. The patio has lots of forage for shade, lawn chairs. It had cornhole games. I think there are other games you can play out there as well. The outdoor patio also has some sort of little pond. The inside is fairly open with TVs that are overhang for watching sports games when it comes to the food it is good but not best we had sandwiches. We have fruit mac & cheese street corn and chips with white queso. Everything was pretty good but nothing too crazy to write home about. Mac & cheese was the best one. Didn't really interact much with the staff there when it comes to service.

Yelp
We stopped into Loflin on a breezy Saturday afternoon to grab a bite and catch the last parts of a football game. We enjoyed the atmosphere and loved the community that was also watching the game with us. We grabbed a variety of food offering and were pleased with it all. I can't wait to visit again and try something else or enjoy a beverage!

Yelp
Decided to have brunch here as it's been a while since my last visit. We arrived around 12:30 and it was super easy to choose a seating area. The weather was nice so we couldn't pass up on sitting outdoors. I will say I was soooo excited to not end up on the menu today (iykyk). Sometimes those mosquitoes will eat you alive . First time trying their brunch items and omg!!! I chose the Smokehouse Scramble and added Brisket and the breakfast potatoes. When I say I was sooo surprised at the potato medley. Both items were bomb! I also had a frozen Paloma which was very refreshing. Overall, the day was a hit. my girls and I had a great time.

Yelp
This seems to be a great choice when you have a diverse group and casual after work spot. This is convenient to work downtown and great indoor and outside ambiance. Plenty of seating, good food choices and sometimes live music. Things I don't like are individuals at our table has to go place their orders separately and mention card on file. Bathrooms could use more care but we're spacious and stocked. After our coworkers left, me and hubs still went outside and chilled for abit.
google avatar

Yelp
I appreciate Loflin for its outdoor space and the fun environment during sports events! I like to go with a group - wouldn't necessarily go for the food specifically. The food is typical bar food with a twist and it's good when you're watching a game and having a drink.
google avatar

Kandis B.

Yelp
Four stars for the ambiance & service, which is why you come here. You're most likely coming here for the drink and outdoor environment rather than the food. The food is mediocre at best. However, you will have a good time enjoying drinks and games and maybe catching a game.

Yelp
cute spot with a lot of ambiance! stopped through on our way to eastern tennessee and was pleasantly surprised by the nachos. they seem to do a lot of fun evening events that i wish we could attend

Yelp
The food was delicious and the staff was really friendly! We loved the outdoor seating!

Yelp
Loflin yard is a fun place to go with your loved ones. The building and patio areas are both insanely nice. The staff is friendly and helpful. The drinks were delicious and a reasonable price. We only had queso this visit, but for a meatless queso it was fire! We went for musical bingo and it was so much fun and even the patrons were friendly. Definitely recommend & it's dog friendly!
google avatar

Lynden A.

Yelp
Love the vibes here! Got the old bridge burger and it was delicious! Also got a mule and it was perfectly made. It's a great place to hang out with a large group.

Yelp
I love Loflin Yard! It's one of the few truly unique indoor-outdoor restaurants left in Memphis. The BBQ mac and cheese is my favorite in the city, and the atmosphere is unmatched -- perfect year-round, whether summer or winter.

Penbay T.

Yelp
20% tip included before you even get service. Atmosphere is good. Walk up for all your orders. They bring food boy there is a line for alcohol. No menus. Tip for food delivery and clean up. It's the new model. Yay

Yelp
I really enjoyed my experience here. I love the concept and it was really fun to "get away from the city" without actually leaving it. I love the setup with the tables near fans and chairs around fire pits. It has outdoor and indoor, and the cutest little waterfall stream. It is also dog friendly! It is a really cool spot to chill for the evening with a big group of friends because it is very roomy. The food and drinks were great, no complaints! Typical menu for this type of place. We had plenty leftover, so portions were great. Service was great too!

Hanaiya J.

Yelp
The place states it is kid friendly. I guess it depends on the day. The manager/owner Colin decided to start yelling at the kids. Customer service 101, find a PARENT. The yelling encounter was so rude and disruptive, a nearby patron came up to the kids and invited them to play again. The same patron apologized to the parents. The parents had to flag the manager/owner Colin down to address the issue. The parents were met with such sarcasm. Bottom line bring your kids somewhere else.

Yelp
We spent New Years Eve with the amazing people at Loflin. We bought our GA tickets and added a VIP table. We had an amazing time. The Neon Mooners band was just the right vibe for the night. Katie was our server the whole night and she was great. Super attentive and she listened to us talk and talk and talk. Also a huge shout out to Lily the bartender. She was super sweet! We will definitely be back!!

Reid H.

Yelp
the waiter told my kids they were getting kicked out for playing soccer not even close to their restaurant. This waiter had the nerve to come back and yell at my kids. and said and and I quote "Im watching you" to my kid. Then kicked us out. worse place for dinner do not go here. The waiter is named Colin he is the general manager avoid him if possible.

Yelp
We used Loflin Yard this past weekend for our wedding reception and it was incredible. Jess was our main contact and she was prompt, kind, and flexible with set-up and take-down. Everyone loved the catered food and the bartenders did an excellent job with our 180-person reception. We cannot thank you guys enough!

Yelp
Had a company event here. Super easy to schedule and plan with the event coordinator. Food was hot and good! I did request a bar tab and was mistakenly given drink tickets instead, but it worked out fine in the end!

Yelp
Good food, relaxed atmosphere, comfortable environment, good service, everyone I encountered from the moment I entered the property until I left was great.

Yelp
After trying all the major BBQ joints in Memphis (Central BBQ, Blues Café, Rendezvous, etc), I was feeling like a change in scenery and trying some place different. I was pleasantly surprised that Loflin Yard came up as a lone option south of Memphis so I decided to have an adventure and check it out. Here's my take on the experience: Quality of food:  Excellent. I went all out and ordered the Pit Boss which comes with 3 meats and 3 sides. For the meats I got the beef brisket, smoked turkey, and smoked sausage. This was served with cucumber salad. For the sides I got the Mac & Cheese, Mexican street corn, and loaded baked potato salad. First of all, the portion size was huge and I ended up saving more than half my food for the next meal. All the meats had a delicious smoky flavor. The brisket was that melt-in-your-mouth kind and the street corn was tangy and fresh. The sausage dipped in the spicy mustard sauce was heavenly. Décor: homey. It's a little confusing at first as to where you're supposed to go. The front door was closed when I went so I had to get to use the side entrance and from there go left to the back bar. The bar used to be a coach house and there you can order drinks and sit inside. I opted to order inside and take my food order number with me and sit outside. There is a wide open outdoor area that feels like somebody's backyard. There's also a small falls like feature right next to the kitchen which is pretty neat. One wouldn't think that this place is so huge from the outside. Cleanliness: All the areas and grounds were being kept clean. Service: good. The girl that took my drink and food order was friendly and provided quick service. Price:  typical for BBQ. The combo was $33. You know....sometimes there's that restaurant which only the locals know about but it never shows up in the "best of" searches or travel magazines or even gets recommended by your hotel lobby staff? I think Loflin Yard is one of those gems. If you're visiting Memphis and have a car and have had enough of the big BBQ places that everyone mentions, then I highly recommend checking out Loflin Yard. This is where the locals go to get good food and relax.

Yelp
Loflin is one of my neighborhood favs. Everything on the menu is great (but don't order the smoked Turkey po'boy expecting a po'boy. It's literally a turkey sandwich, lol), and the drinks are always cold. There are outdoor games to pass the time while you eat and sip, perfect for an evening alone or with friends.
google avatar

Dawn C.

Yelp
Good eats and good drinks in a pretty setting. The expansive outdoor seating sets this spot apart. Our bill was expensive in summer 2022 - $150 for 4 cocktails and 3 entrees. But it was really good barbeque. Don't miss the smoked sausage! Lots of gluten-free and dairy-free options! Kids menu is great too! Highly recommend for families.

Yelp
I recently had a family gathering here. First from the outside, it didn't look like much - I find that often the food is great in such a place but I was worried if our large party would fit comfortably. Much to my surprise, the majority of the space is outdoors so it's huge and there's searing everywhere. I was there about 2 hours before I realized that I had only seen about half of the space. What a brilliant idea. Kudos to the Owners for thinking up this setup. I evenly popped over to the outside bar to order food. They briefly indulged my inquiries regarding getting certain items a la carte. In the end, I decided on the Old Bridge Burger. I have to say that it was very good. In hind sight I realized that I wasn't asked how I wanted my beef cooked, but it was well done and I was ok with that. The service was good and surprisingly very quick considering the large number of customers that they had at the time. Overall a good experience. I would consider dining there again and hope that you check it out for yourself.

Yelp
Loflin Yard is such a special place in Memphis! Grabbing dinner here with a friend tonight reminded me of all the amazing things about Loflin Yard that I had to share. This is the ultimate patio oasis for game days (lots of large TVs), big group gatherings, and fall nights (amazing fire pits). Ok guys... the food is amazing. I couldn't recommend the BBQ Chicken Nachos or the Chicken Tacos any more! Any drink I've had here has been fabulous from the frozé/ frozen cocktails in the summer to the warm cider/ hot chocolate cocktails in the winter.
google avatar

Jessica F.

Yelp
This place was super cool and a lot of outdoor and indoor space. Came during brunch and it was pretty good, portions were a bit small in the brisket hash. They have a pretty good beer selection, and their cocktails were delicious too. Can't wait to come back during cooler weather and enjoy the outdoor space.

Yelp
This could be a great place to go if the food was better. I was truly was disappointed in my bbq nachos, no bbq sauce to be found and just too must fluff. Could not taste the bbq or the brisket. Too much cheese and sour cream. Next I turn to the sausage and cheese platter. Weak, we were served cubed cheese, probably bought from the grocery store sprinkled with some kind of rub, the sausage was dry and the crackers too large too enjoy. Should probably match the cheese sausage with the right size cracker. The crackers were also stale. I really hate writing a bad review but this place was terrible. The only reason why we came here to a because of our fav. They are very dog friendly but it was not enjoyable. My husband's brisket and sausage was just as dry as the sausage platter. The only thing going for them is the French fries. I really wanted to like this place but can't. Again I hate bad reviews but I think this was warranted after $104 bill left me unsatisfied sorry. The service was great the people friendly but the food left something else on my mind. I forgot, the Mexican corn is not like what we get in California. Again I'm sorry for this poor review, it's just my opinion.

Yelp
I really liked this place. Good local beer. Simple but delicious food selections. Little over priced to me but maybe it's just area. Amazing outdoor space! Only would have changed the insane amount of chili powder on the kids Mac and cheese.

Yelp
Let me start here. The ambiance and service from staff is wonderful. So this is not for them. I have taken a while to post this to try to calm down. My friend and I are long time patrons of bars, restaurants in the downtown/midtown area. All of our friends go there. This post is for the manager Colin of Loflin yard. For only him. My best friend and I went there a few Sundays ago. Had a wonderful time, hung out with friends. Spent a good deal of time and money there. Left happy, no worries. However, a few hours later while we were at another bar, said manager Colin walks in. We were friendly with him, as he is friends with a lot of people we know. He was nice at first, but kept badgering my friend about why he was "studying his receipt" at loflin. My friend did no recall this incident and we tried to keep it light and move on bc we had no issue. Yes prices are high at loflin, but we didn't complain. However Colin the manager kept coming at us and wouldn't leave us alone. I (a female and one of the only other females at the time at the bar) asked him to please stop and leave us alone. He then told me "don't fucking tell me to stop" and got extremely aggressive with me. I felt so afraid at that time, and got upset. He later came and apologized for making me upset, but then proceeded to threaten to fight my friend outside. We then left the situation. I will not be going back as long as he works there bc as a woman I felt very uncomfortable and threatened in that situation. He continued to use his position as a manager there to try to create dominance. I hope this changes soon bc this is a great place to go to, however I will not return anytime soon.

Yelp
Chicken tenders were fantastic. Wish we got more than one order of them - they didn't have some drinks we were hoping to have so we settled for something else. Fun atmosphere and able to bring your dog. This was our second time visiting.
google avatar

Cathy K.

Yelp
Stopped by for a holiday market, enjoyed wings and fries, quite a few other menu options like nachos and burgers. So many places to sit, this place is huge. Lots of outdoor tables and indoor or semi indoor spaces with really good space heaters even on a cold day. Tried the pirates of the Caribbean, loved it. Also tempted by this matcha drink, maybe next time. Decent bathrooms, friendly staff, good experience.

Reba A.

Yelp
The food I ordered was good the open air concept was awesome. The service was Good The Advertisement claim it to be handicap friendly. It is NOT!!! I was there 4/27/2024, I had a UpWalker ! And had to have 3 men ti help me get in the front Door! The other entrance ground covering would have made me trip and fall. The front entrance 3 step was so tall even a four legged animal would need help climbing up! I wouldn't mind returning for the food but its not a place to go for people in need of wheelchair, walkers, and blind. Be aware that if "Civil Union" visit, you will have to make changes. Do it now "LOFTLIN owners before fines are put in motion.

Aaron W.

Yelp
There is a 20% gratuity on your tab with a mediocre staff serving you. The food isn't amazing but not awful. The spicy tenders are regular tenders with buffalo sauce poured on them and the burgers are decent. The atmosphere is the only reason this isn't a 1 star review. Imagine your ticket being $21 after ordering chicken tenders and a water when it's $13.50 on the menu. It would be a better option to spend $20 at a good Memphis bbq joint.
google avatar

Gavin K.

Yelp
We come here for Sunday brunch often, and always enjoy our visits. Food and drink are always great and the staff is friendly and attentive. Great atmosphere to bring some friends to hang out!
google avatar

Diamond E.

Yelp
Great food and good family atmosphere! My Waverly loved that it was dog friendly! Had a blast with family!

Yelp
Loftin Yards is a very unique venue offering an open back yard with fire pits & lawn chairs. I was really digging all the Ambiance and decor of the venue as I was conversing with fellow students I haven't seen in 20 years at my class reunion. The little patio bridge area was something new I haven't seen as they remade and part of the basement area of an old demolished building into a waterfall which was pretty cool. I really enjoyed the food very much. Bing I had some red beans and rice a Brisket Po Boy and Chicken Po Boy. They also had a veggie option set out but I don't do veggie. Everything else I'd recommend. Other than being the perfect place for a wedding class reunion or any other kind of event. I also recommend this place for trivia nights. Hosted by Cerrito Trivia. Check out his FB page for more info. I'll also be posting his card in the photos
google avatar

Jaron B.

Yelp
Ambience is so cool. The brisket was dry, over cooked and tough. I was there for a late brunch.

Sherell S M.

Yelp
Good service and great atmosphere! Huge orders to eat. Made me think about moving downtown!

Jessie E.

Yelp
Really great food and outdoor setting. Good for a good time with friends. Bring your dog!
google avatar

Micah D.

Yelp
Great summer bar. There is a great outdoor courtyard to sit in or several surrounding indoor near areas. Not very many craft beers on tap which was a little disappointing especially with so many local breweries. I had the link drink. Good but so sweet. I couldn't finish it. The bar staff was so nice. We ate smoked chicken nachos. AMAZING! So many great food choices.
google avatar

Tucker M.

Yelp
I have been going here for years. It has been getting worse each visit. Today was the day that finalized me never returning. Two drinks and two entrees came out to $76 somehow or another. Before I knew this price I got food and both dishes were terrible. I got the tab and paid. On the way home my wife and I threw up as much as one could imagine and then much more. I will never return. Btw...this is the only review I have written on any business my entire life. I felt I needed to here.

John B.

Yelp
Bartender with blonde hair very rude. Beware bathrooms not allowed to be used. Manager was not too friendly. They had a fire and tried to stay open. Probably should've closed for repairs as menu very small and no indoor seating as advertised. The food was decent but not worth the price. Service was not good and employees not friendly. Maybe try again in month once repairs are done.
google avatar

Natasha M.

Yelp
I ordered the smoked turkey & brisket plate with the mac n cheese and Mexican street corn for sides. To be honest, the meat was the best. The mac was ok, very cheesy though. The street corn checked all the boxes of what it should have, but was just slightly above a perfect score. The 5-star was for the Frosé that's not pictured. Good atmosphere, spacious, and ideal for social distancing.
google avatar

Stori P.

Yelp
This place looks was perfect for dogs and a family lunch. The food was okay, not as good as we were expecting. I got the charred salad thinking the lettuce was charred but it was just chopped romaine with a slice of brisket on top. There was not much flavor and it wasn't worth $15. The tacos were good just nothing special. The po boy was good but a lot of bread and not a lot of fix ins. It tasted like mayo, brisket, and bread. The best thing was definitely the street corn which was amazing. Also loved the fries.
google avatar

Alex H.

Yelp
Loflin is such a fun hangout spot. It is known as the dog friendliest bar in Memphis so your pups are welcome. I noticed when I walked up to the bar they even sale dog beer! Today we did their brunch and bottomless mimosas. It ended up being around $85 for tax for two. The food was great. They had fresh fruit, chicken and waffles and Tex mex brunch. If we would've had more time and would have driven we for sure would have gotten our money's worth out of the bottomless mimosas (lol). At night this place turns into one big adult play ground. In the summer they even have a water slide that stays on. This place is good for groups and for people of all ages to hang out.

Abby L.

Yelp
Ordered carry-out from the bar and was very impressed with the tacos! The smoked brisket and chicken tacos were both incredible, and my friend said the same about the smoked sausage plate. If I were to pick one of the tacos, I would go with the brisket! The ambiance of the garden was great with tons of space and seating. Will definitely come back to sit and enjoy.
google avatar

Elizabeth F.

Yelp
This place is a must! A mellow and chill day drinking atmosphere with games and bands for all. Open areas and great setup for group outings! They even have big cool air fans for hot days. The duo of brisket, smoked turkey and coleslaw/mac n cheese was incredible! A gem!
google avatar

Elianne R.

Yelp
I have to say this is a hidden gem. Probably one of the most pleasant beer gardens I've been to. A lot of space and a lot of things to do. The beer was excellent. The tenders were also phenomenal. I would definitely try their smoked wings. You can't go wrong with this place on a beautiful summer night. I saw a lot of people with their dogs which was nice and they have corn hole if that's your thing.
google avatar

Mark J.

Yelp
I'm a native Memphian. I loved Loflin Yard... But... It should not take 30 minutes to order a drink. The place wasn't even 1/2 capacity last night, plenty of open tables, chairs, etc. but the bartenders were so very painfully slow there is no doubt this is the reason that Loflin Yard wasn't packed on a Friday night. My advice, you've got to turn people around quicker at the counter and you'll make a ton more money. Open up those other two windows on the back side and have bartenders there taking orders. Maybe even some beer run girls (or guys) outside for people wanting to grab a quick easy beer. The food was great and it came out in an average time so no problems there. The problems are ordering, paying, and receiving your drinks in a timely fashion. Managment (or owner), please help! There is no reason this place shouldn't be a 5 star experience. I ordered three times last night and i'm not exaggerating when I tell you I was number 2 or 3 in line all three times and i spent an hour and a half of my night "waiting". This is so ridiculous.

Yelp
As a first time visitor to Memphis and having our pup with us, we were excited to find this spot that was both dog-friendly and super laid back with a great atmosphere. We visited on a Sunday night, so it was not busy at all. We enjoyed the food - I had the hot chicken sandwich and my wife had the brisket. The servings were plentiful, and there were tons of options for drinks at the bar. I'm sure this place is much busier on a Friday or Saturday night, or during busier times of the year, but we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely come back if we're ever in Memphis again!
