I had a really disappointing experience at Loft 22. My friend was on the guest list and is not only close friends with the DJ, but also works as a photographer and director for many of his events. Unfortunately, no one told her about the 10:45 PM deadline to enter with the guest list. We arrived about 10 minutes after that time and were immediately told she would have to purchase a ticket.
What made the situation worse wasn’t even the policy itself, it was the way we were treated. The staff were extremely rude and dismissive, even after we explained the situation and had confirmation of everything. There was no attempt to be understanding or accommodating. The attitude felt unnecessarily harsh and unprofessional.
The overall energy at the door felt more hostile than welcoming, it was mire locked down and rude and robotic than airport security. There’s no reason to treat guests that way, especially when they are connected to the event and genuinely trying to resolve a simple misunderstanding. It completely ruined the vibe before the night even started.
Very disappointing experience.
