Despite the beautiful reviews I am dissappointed to write that my short stay was unfortunately not pleasant. Arriving to the hostel during given the reception opening hours I still found the reception to be closed. The only directions upon checking in was a placard explaining I'd find the key (access code), room and bed numbers on my e-mail. I did, but not getting any service left me quite unacquainted with the hostel and its operations. My stay at the hostel was very short, so my experience is very limited, yet I'd still say many things felt inconvinient during my stay. I stayed at a female dorm of 8 — a booking type I'm quite familiar with. The linen was off the duvet and pillow when arriving so so putting that on is left to the customer. A towel was nor provided. On the bed there is a reading light and a single wall socket. If there was a personal storage space provided I couldn't see one and hadn't been informed of such. I had been assigned a top bunk which turned out to be a bigger issue than in my past hostel stays. The bunk bed felt very flimsy and squaky. The climbing structure was also inconviniently shaped and I found it hard to climb on top of it (which is not an issue I've usually had). I woke up in the night having to use the restroom and couldn't climb back up with my "mid-sleep strength", so I ended up leaving at night 4 hours prior to planned. If you have sny mobility issues, even minor, this will be an issue. Upon leaving I was bummed to find all the comfortable lounge areas closed off. This surprised me because I've been used to lounging spaces being open 24/7 on all my other hostel experiences. Between 11pm and 8am the only areas to stay outside your room are the kitchen and the corridor (from which neither is very comfortable). The balconies with the beautiful views are locked as well, and there is no staff on site. The lounge area seemed absolutely beautiful though when I got a peek of it while checking in. The location of the hostel is remarkable, it's hard to imagine a better location to start exploring the city. However that comes with a disvantage of a loud envirorment. The buzz of the streets can be heard to the room (my room was 205 on the 2nd floor) and might be of disturbance if you're sensitive to that. I found the guests of the hotel to be quite loud as well, and the people in my room as well as in the corridor were loud in their movements and talking, shouting unrestraintly and indifferent to others sleeping. However, I don't think that's an issue that the hostel can sort out, it's more of a question of luck in the guests you happen to share your hostel stay with. The quiet hours are from 11 to 7 which I consider too late and short (in addition to some guests not honoring them to begin with) so the only action the hotel could take against is maybe widening the duration of quite hours and reinforcing them more.
