I love visiting Loft! It’s such a fun place to explore, with so many unique and interesting items you don’t see anywhere else. From stationery and home goods to quirky gadgets and gifts, there’s always something new to discover. Even just browsing is enjoyable because the store is well organized and full of little surprises. Loft is one of those places where you can easily lose track of time while finding cool, creative things to take home.

This is a nice department store that sells all sorts of stuff. I was looking for a nice Japanese-made water bottle for someone, and found so much more. Since they are in Shibuya, they're going to be busy. Especially in the basement stationary section and the first floor souvenirs. The housewares floor has some really nice stuff that can make great gifts. There are also plenty of useful practical items that can come in handy. I was surprised that I spent less than US$100 on almost a dozen quality items. There was so much more that I wanted to buy.

The lower level is a stationery wonderland and we couldn't have had more fun! Aisles of pencil cases, pens and so much more. Definitely recommend a visit!

Excellent place for souvenir shopping, a little less expensive than Don Quijote but with fewer options on variety. I believe that the items have better quality. I come here for some magnets, ohashi sets, wooden postal cards and some other interesting product they might have in season. A must try.

Overpriced. At the counter you find out tax free shopping is charged additionally! It's the only store in Japan that I have encountered this in so far. Be aware! Store is small overall, not many brands and they have a very limited offering from them.

Super cool store i bought so much stuff there its insane. Great prices and tin of selection. MUST GO ITS AWESOME!!!

Its way pricey and the tax refund queue is just too long. Why cant we get the tax refund when we pay for our items? Im sure they have a valid reason for sending us to whole separate level and asking us to waot that long but i have decided not to waste my time here anymore. Also things are really pricey here.

A shop where you’re bound to find something that catches your eye—anytime you visit! With so many irresistible items, people of all ages might find themselves buying more than they planned!

This loft is huge and since it's always busy, some of the items are out of stock. The staff are nice at least and helpful in finding items. Still a lot of items are cheaper than other stores. Great place to find items to bring back home!

OMG. This place is amazing!! Tons of skincare and makeup products. It's a bit overwhelming...all the options. As for the housewares they offer, everything is just so beautiful and finely crafted. I was really intrigued by some of their items for folks who are into cocktails...who may have their own cocktail bar setup at home.... And as a foodie, I was so enamored by the clearly high-end, specialty food items. So for example, while I am not a fan, much less a connoisseur, of sake, I was struck by the display and assortment of what appeared to be single-use sake that is sold in glass cups with a thin metal pull-tab cover. Each of the glasses was so beautiful, and all I could think was 'I want to get an assortment of these for when I host a party here in Tokyo." They also sell something called 'seke lees karinto', which apparently allows people who cannot drink alcohol, to enjoy the flavor of sake in this manner, instead. And then there was also something edible called 'kompeito'...'carefully made by hand with the experience of skilled artisans over a two-week process'. The packaging was beautiful. So now I'm intrigued, and going to do more research on these foodstuffs.

LOFT...if you know you know! This is one of the places that if you know you know to just go in. One of the classic places to shop for it's great value along with the premium choices of items they have here is the reason we all fall in love with LOFT. Not the complete though I'd say very selected selections of greeting cards, stationaries, smart phone accessories, jewelry, home decor including the massive Christmas section they now have as their main attraction, it's the health care section that always has me circling around for the item my sore muscles and sad feet are screaming for relief, as I do there's a demonstration of a self rolling curling iron that got me interested but not practical for me the moment...the items here are just superb. The service here is just the friendliest and always willing to search for what you're looking for. They do have restrooms though isn't the best but are appreciated for the convenience when needed. どうもありがとうございます！

LOFT SHIBUYA is amazing. Definitely worth walking through every single floor, there's so much to browse and look through. We got to Shibuya on Saturday and it was one of the first places we visited. Beautifully organized with a massive selection of products from stationary to home decor and utilities. The value is also worth it and compared to other similar places in the US is indescribable. You are sure to find something to your liking, and it's almost impossible to go in without buying something. Definitely visit if you have the time! Service is also great and everyone is super friendly/ helpful in finding what you're looking for.

I spent way too much time in this store! Each level had so many different cool items I just had to take home back to the states. Homegoods, gifts, skincare, you name it! Also love the tax refund system.

This is the best place to shop for souvenirs! There's several floors and so much variety. You could easily spend half a day here alone. I highly recommend. Everything is organized and they also carry a lot of local artists. The only line that takes forever is the tax refund line. I highly recommend having one person purchase the items and having the other person stand in the tax refund line. I would shop here first for souvenirs then go to other places for items you don't find here.

This place is dangerous to my wallet. If I remember correctly it has 4 floors. The bottom floor (B1) is all things stationary. EVERYTHING you can imagine is on that floor. Stickers, post it notes, notebooks, pens but times 100. I spent roughly an hour in just the stationary section. I went through testing so many pens until I found one that I couldn't put back. There is a floor for gifts, skin care etc. This place is huge!! Prices are very reasonable in my opinion. I took home with me a pen and a notebook for work which was roughly 4ish dollars (650 yen). I think the quality is great so the price is fair. The staff was super nice, packed my things nicely. Overall 10/10! Give this place a look!

I may have lucked out. Whenever I'm here, I often find what I'm looking for. Gifts, Yukata, Halloween costumes, etc... Among all Loft locations I've been, this one offers the most and the best. 1st floor is stationary. I took my boss from the states and his family there. And his kids loved and impressed how neat Japanese stationaries were(I didn't think they were that special but they loved it). 2nd floor is all beauty & cosmetic goods. Being a dude, obviously, I don't know much about this floor. ;-) And my favorite is the 3rd floor - kitchen gadgets. My latest neat discovery was a cool beer mug I bought for my friend. Apparently, it can chill as low as freezing temperature. Not sure if it really works like that, but looked cool anyway. A long time ago, I bought a yukata and Halloween costume on the 4th floor. It is a "seasonal" floor - it changes from time to time. Anyways, I highly recommend tourists to do their souvenir shopping here.

Another great shopping experience in here. I probably can spend 1-2 hours visiting each floor, discovering things I didn't know I need. Japanese must love their stationary, b/c there so much here.

I could spend the majority of a day in this Loft location. It's one of those stores that has items you didn't know you needed until you saw them, but now you have to have them. It's a lifestyle store that can be dangerous for the wallet. Shibuya Loft is a large branch of this chain and one of my must stops when I visit Japan. My favorite section is housewares. I bought what most people might argue is way too many types of sake glasses on my last visit. Another thing they excel in is stationary. Cute, serious, pretty, they've got it all. You can find the coolest stickers and envelopes to match and the perfect writing implement to sign it with. You can even get cosmetics here! While it's not my preferred place to purchase cosmetics overall, they do have a few brands here you may have trouble finding elsewhere, and many have samples out you can try before you buy. If you are looking for a gift to bring someone, but don't have anything particular in mind, I think Loft is the perfect place to find that treasure. There is always something new and interesting here from their seasonal offerings. I love that they manage to make a cute variety of everything here from toilet bowl cleaners to frying pans. Loft takes credit cards which also makes it easy. You can also apply for tax free for purchases of 5,000 yen or more after you pay. The staff is friendly and wraps everything up nicely so you don't have to worry about it breaking during transport. There are escalators and elevators that make it easy to get from floor to floor.

Need a bunch of gifts from your trip to Tokyo? Look no further. A quick walk from the Shibuya train station, each of Lofts 6 floors have a different theme, from stationary to house-ware most items have a unique Japanese flair. Prices are good, and you'll always find something new, as they change their stock regularly.

The stationary is downstairs!!!! For any artsy, crafty, scrapbooking and/or planner fan, it is like walking into freaking heaven! There is SOOOOO MUCH STUFF HERE!! They have stationary, cool gifts, home decor, cosmetics, and just random house stuff...walking into this store literally made me wish I had a home in Japan so I could fill it will cool stuff from Loft! You enter on the 1st floor, but what they don't tell you is that the Stationary is all downstairs in the Basement! I almost missed it, but since I was there with 6 other people, I knew I had to plan my time spent there wisely. I located a floor map and VOILA! I headed straight down the basement. I grabbed cards, stickers, pens, and notepads...it was AWESOME. Other friends bought cosmetics, hair treatment, and *more* stationary of course! I could've spent another hour there - but wanted to be considerate of all our boyfriends who were slowly losing their minds. Definitely recommend coming here ALONE next time! lol..

Shibuya Loft was my favorite store in all of Japan! With six big floors of stationery, gifts, cosmetics, bath stuff, home decor and souvenirs, you could seriously do all your gift shopping here and be done. I got a ton of stuff here and could easily have bought way more! The basement level is stationery, journals and stickers -- like, a whole wall of awesome stickers big and small. They don't have much in the way of folding notecards, but there are tons of cute and very affordable letter sets and mix 'n' match notepads and envelopes, plus blank books and daily planners. Of course, there are also lots of gel pens in every color. The second floor has more stationery, seasonal decor and party supplies, some greeting cards, phone cases and fancy pens. As you go up, there are floors dedicated to home decor and housewares, bath and beauty, cosmetics and K-beauty supplies, and expensive design-y gifts. Prices for the cosmetics and beauty stuff were comparable to what I saw in other stores, so if you plan to buy a lot, get it all in one big store so you can get the tax refund! You can carry stuff from floor to floor or buy as you go and show all your receipts. The top floor has omiyage-type souvenirs, figurines, blind boxes and geeky gifts. This is also where you'll go to cash in your tax-free receipts, although there are some confusing distinctions between "consumable" and "durable" goods, so make sure you know what counts in which category. Staff are friendly and helpful, but don't necessarily speak a lot of English -- for example, my question about notecards caused a flurry and ended up with three or four employees gathered around trying to help. But most of the things I was interested in were self-explanatory, and everything was well signed and had price stickers. I LOVED all the stuff in this store and shopped until my travel companion dragged me out, and I still didn't get to see everything they had! This is truly a one-stop shop for all your souvenir needs, plus a wonderland of goodies for self-treats. Don't miss it if you're in the area!

WOW! This is heaven for stationary and home goods lovers! Six floors of fun! Upon entrance on the first floor, the entire half the store is dedicated for planners! I am in love! The other half is notebooks, organizers with printed characters, birthday/greeting cards, post-it's, pens, markers, pen bags, holders, ID holders, etc.! Best part about it is that everything is neat and super cute!

This place is amazing if you like looking at stuff. Seriously a lot of stuff. Most of the merchandise here in Loft reminds me of stores like Daiso and Bed Bath and Beyond where there's a ton of merchandise. The first floor is all stationery and stickers. It's super adorable. You can also go to the neighboring building that has Muji there. The upper floors have many things like bedding, kitchenware, bath supplies, etc. you name it. If you spend like over $100USD on general household goods you can file for a tax refund upstairs. Read the pamphlet for more information.

Allen C. highly recommended checking out this place. LOFT is like Daiso on every kind of drug imaginable. They have everything from stationary to kitchen supplies to toys to souvenirs. I'm glad I don't live in Tokyo because who knows how much money I'd drop here!? (Seriously, floor after floor of things I need, I mean, want.) Perfect place to pick up souvenirs to bring back home... for your friends, family, or even yourself!

They have a nice selection of local style Christmas cards and for Black Friday, handy gadgets for 50% off. Was able to take care of my Christmas gifting and cards all at loft so was super convenient.

Calling all stationary lovers, here is a store you are going to drop serious money for! I am a pen enthusiast and Loft was able to amaze me with their large selection of pens and other stationary items. What's nifty is that most pens will have a sample display where you can test them out before purchase. They also have a large selection of cute stickers such as Pokemon ones! I bought a journal, pens, and stickers from here.

Before I left for Japan, I selected quite a few ''interior decoration'' stores and this Loft store in Shibuya was on my list. This department store is very large and each floor is organized with a wide selection of products. From home interior to travel items, cosmetics, stationery... you can definitely find something you like once you enter the store. The downside is that this store is more on the high end price range. Still some products are more affordable and it is a nice place to spend some time, there is a coffee shop on the last floor is you need to recharge.

If you've ever in need of pretty much anything, there are a couple of places that you should check out: Don Quijote, Tokyu Hands, and Shibuya LOFT! Loft is one of the largest long-tail retail complexes in Tokyo; they have a wide selection of anything from iPhone cases to furnature to makeup to fashion items. Out of the three stores mentioned above, Loft has a more stylish/trendy selection of products. The same vibe can be seen in the interior design with very modern, bright yellow walls and an artistic Clock themed gizmo at the entrance. I'd say if you're looking for something cheap, go to Don Quijote, and if you're looking for DIY/customizable things, go to Tokyu Hands. But if you are looking for a more design-specific merchandise, go check out LOFT :) Even if you don't buy anything, Loft is a great place to discover new things. They seem to constantly update their selection with new brands or products that may not be found in other stores. Looking for cool things? Go to LOFT.

As other reviewers have noted, this is a great place to go just to wander. There's tons of merchandise on each floor, so you'll undoubtedly find something to catch your eye. The price range is also pretty wide, so for certain things like stationary and craft goods, this is a rest place to shop. Home goods like kitchen gadgets or outdoor gear of course run higher prices, but the atmosphere of the place is nowhere near as stuffy as other department stores in the area. It's very easy to spend a couple of hours here, so if you're coming for a first visit, budget the time!

There are many loft stores in Japan but this is by far my favorite loft in Japan. It is huge! There are about 5 levels to this store. They have all kinds of things. I love to walk around and just look. Make sure you have time to come here because shopping in there could take an hour or two.

I love this place so much, it has everything you could think of (and the coolest versions of those items) It is a tiny bit pricy but they carry foreign products as well as domestic japanese goods..I found a whole thing of zabars jams here which was amazing! I usually end up browsing and not buying anything though :( it's a good place to waste time Oh and they have a nice art exhibition type thing on the top floor now

This tall yellow building stands from block away. During breaks at work, I would sometimes hope in for a browse. On the skincare and toiletries floor, I'd be trying on every handcream, checking out essential oils and shampoos. On the stationary floor, I'm flipping through diaries, daydreaming about which one would suit me best. Loft is like a adult's Toyrus. I wish I could accidentally be left in the shop after hours. The idea sounds so fun, i wouldn't even know where to start.

Loft is a home decor / home goods chain and of all the locations in Tokyo I prefer this one in Shibuya. 7 stories of awesome. I can't remember how many times we've shopped here over the years and picked up stationery/notepads, ceramic drink or table ware, some kind of succulent / moss in the gardening section, etc. We rarely come in here looking for something specific, instead opting to do each aisle on each floor looking for the hidden gems... The tax free counter is on the topmost floor but if you want to take advantage of that you need to stop by there on the same day as when you've made your purchases . Ground floor loony is shared with the MUJI flagship next door so you can end up getting lost in the building for quite a while... have fun!

Absolutely love this place! There's so much to see here and I love how they decorate this place. It reminds me of a giant concept store. There was a temporary MoMa store when we visited, with innovative items. Some of them we have seen before on Kickstarter. Shibuya Loft is huge: it consists of seven floors. There's a tax free lounge at the Loft. My absolute favorite was the beauty department. It was huge! But I also really liked the interior department and the gift shop at the top floor. It took us 2 visits to visit all the floors, there was just so much to see!

Highlights * Features: 5/5 stars (they have nearly EVERYTHING you could want for home and personal accessories from stationery, decorations,,character goods - many Japan-only goods!) * Access: 4.5 (close to the famous Shibuya Scramble Intersection (separate a Yelp spot), just a short one-minute walk off to the right once you enter the famous Center again shopping street veering off right of Shibuya 109) * Service: 4.5/5 (friendly, genuine, dedicated to answering all of your tricky questions about items and services) * Value: 4.5/5 (most items sold at suggested manufacturer prices but those are fairly reasonable; sales at certain times of the year help to appreciate extra value) * Selection: 5/5 (there's just do much of everything your head will spin. You'll want one of every color and size when choosing your Star Wars figures, for example) Overall, you'll find the store to be a treasure trove of discovery whether it's household goods, personal care supplies or even note pads. Plan to spend a good couple hours here, especially if you're looking for things that are a different and unique Japanese interpretation of items you'd normally pick up for a fraction of the price at your local Walmart or discount shop. Why buy them at Loft instead? Well, they're higher quality, better designed and one of a kind available at few other places in Japan or the world. And look you will. If anything, it's a fun cultural experience that goes beyond ¥100 shops, big box retailers and stuffy department stores. Come with open eyes, mind and wallet.

This place is amazing! They have everything from knick knacks, traditional Japanse items, high end baggage, kitchenware . . . you name it. The customer service is great and the layout of store is amazing. It kind of reminds me of a Japanese Ikea in how everything is well organized. I love it here.

I have a love and hate relationship with this place. Before going, I would have few things in mind that I NEED to purchase. And would come out with a few extra AMAZING things that I could possibly live without. It would often eat a lot of my time too. I would go to a floor and just say, "Oh I need lotion!". They have several on the stand that you could try and with all different colours that are usually not the best idea for a woman's purse and credit card bill at the end of the day, because you'd end up buying all types of lotion. And you know, you'd probably buy some plants on the 4th floor, because it's nice to have plants next to you while you put lotion on your hands. It just connects! Ha! But hey...I am not complaining. I have had awesome purchases here. I don't really need them, but I don't regret getting them. I also love how they arranged the products. It's not cluttered as the other stores. And oh yeah...my credit card bill.

Loft is a great place for all of your home and personal gift needs. They have a wide range of products separated into different floors that are organized by function. I found everything here really easy to find. I ended up going here a few times during my most recent Tokyo trip to find various gifts for people, and I was able to find gifts that a wide variety of people would enjoy. They seem to carry a lot of products in a variety of different price categories as well, being a "something for everyone" type of shop. I especially enjoyed the character section on the top floor, but also appreciated that they had a lot of subtly decorated items as well.

I love this store. However, I had a negative experience with customer service today when an older male sales rep (from the way his colleagues were asking him questions, this male sales rep I'm referring to is probably of a higher position. Maybe a manager) raised his voice at my elderly father for standing at the counter to wait for his tax exemption receipt, assuming that my father had cut the line intentionally. We were wrong in the sense that my elderly father had missed the wait line that was formed against the wall behind him. However, to raise his voice at an elderly gentleman for doing something my father was unaware of, was wrong on the sales rep part as well.

Fantastic store with a ton of cool products to check-out - think of Daiso or Don Quixote but higher end and with a better layout and more curated products. This is a great place to browse for gifts or unique Japanese products - we've purchased unique stationary, cards, and kitchen items here. Loft does link over to their main stores where they carry high end brands just like a department store, but the Loft area is the real treat. Give yourself time to browse and if you do plan to purchase something and you're not from Japan, bring your passport to get a tax refund!

Favorite store in Japan. I can spend hours in there. So many interesting things to see and buy. I love it there, and they have free wi-fi too!

Don't leave Japan without experiencing Shibuya Loft! It is an adult's Toys R Us. Forget Tokyu Hands, forget Don Quixote. You will find every you can imagine here, plus everything you never dreamed existed. They have EVERYTHING. It is the perfect place to buy strange Japanese gifts for friends! The first couple of floors sell bunbougu the rest sell luggage, massage equipment, kitchen supplies, artwork, toys, etc. The prices are "Japanese priced" aka overpriced, but it's hard to leave Loft empty handed. Everything is way too kawaii~

Awesome place for shopping while in Tokyo around Shibuya area. 6 or 7 floors full of quality stuff. Can get tax refund on one of the floors but might need to wait some time maybe around 10-15 min for your turn as these counters are super busy.

This place is really funny for shopping and window shopping as well. There are many kinds of things you might have interested in them. Some of them are cute and some of them are elegant, unique and cool. I often come here to kill my time. Every year I buy schedule book at this shop. I can choose the best one for me from the newest trend. Not only for the purpose to buy it but also I enjoy comparing several items and think which is better. This is one of my pleasures every year. I recommend you if you like to see many goods. For people who do not have enough time for shopping and they would like to choose as fast as they can, I do not think there is good for them.

This is a pretty ridiculously large department store in the center of Shibuya. You name it, they probably have it. Price wise, it's a bit pricier than I'd like to pay for common household items. I found out about this place via Timeout regarding a spot to pick up tourist items / gifts for friends back in the states. I see the tourist appeal, but I didn't find any deals. We ended up picking up some kitchen items that looked half way decent and seemed authentic to Japan. Who knows, but they are nice. If you are in Shibuya this store is worth experiencing.

Incredible place for shopping for gifts and souvenirs for men and women. Me and my husband's favourite one stop shop in town. It's amazing!!!! We made the mistake of shopping here on the day of our flight back home and almost didn't back it back. It's that's good! Better than Tokyu hands and Daiso. 6 levels of goodness, 1 hour is not enough! 3 hours at least!

Great place to buy souvenirs and gifts or just to wander around. each sections are well curated, and they have gadgets in pretty much every single fields. local people sometimes go to Shibuya just to go to Loft.

This store was awesome! It's in the busy and touristy area of Shibuya (which was ok) but this place made it worth it! Loved wandering around and checking out the wide array of merchandise. They have awesome inexpensive souvenirs which were great to bring home. Glad we stopped by.

The lady who helped us was amazing. I love this place
