This was a beautiful location to stay. The view was stunning. We stayed in a cabin with a shared bathroom- it was spacious and comfortable & the bathroom was clean. The road getting there is quite narrow for some time if you turn right off 101 to e beach rd, almost a 1 way with a lot of curves and not everyone drives with consideration. If you turn off 101 to 112, it will take you a back way to e beach rd with a much shorter drive along the narrow road. Lots of families and kids playing but still peaceful. Recommend going to hurricane ridge and devils punchbowl nearby.

We stayed in lodge rooms. They are older but clean. The location and view of the lake is amazing. We’d stay here again. Loved sitting by lake watching stars come out. Wish we had planned more time here to relax. So peaceful!

Log Cabin Resort has a few different lodging options available, including standalone log cabins and a campground. We stayed in one of the cabins, which sits up on a hill and has a great view of Lake Crescent. The lobby and restaurant, as well as the lake shore, are just a short walk away. ||The service in general was good, and we were happy with the cabin. There is a general store with some amenities, and the restaurant offers breakfast through dinner. When we were there, they were running out of some of the dinner items rather early. I don't know if that was a daily issue or their deliveries are less frequent and we happened to catch them near the end prior to their next delivery. It didn't bother us as we are flexible, but I imagine that would impact others. ||It is probably best to consider this like staying at a campground or a remote cabin. It is best to bring all of your own things, including food. But if you require something, there is enough to cover you.||The boat rental was also nice. We took some kayaks out onto the lake and enjoyed the time out there. Overall we were happy with our stay. Sure the amenities are limited compared to a typical "resort," but that is not the purpose of this lodging option.

Google
Can't rate rooms as we took our RV. Place is very quiet and located on crescent lake. Beautiful location. Resort gives you a bit of nostalgia vibe, reminding me of Dirty Dancing. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because rv sites have no privacy and are crammed in so close to each other. Our neighbors awning literally was touching the side of our rv. But if you don't mind the closeness of sites and lack of privacy it does have easy access to lake for your kyak or SUP.

Google
Don’t come here if your camping. I can’t speak on the cabins but the campsite was horrible. I paid $60 for a glorified parking lot, no space. You’re better off reserving on rec.gov

Google
this place is beautiful, we went there for kayaking. Although if you are here for kayaking, there are few things to note...they only have 4 tandem kayaks and 4 single kayaks and they do not take reservations. It's first come first. If you are a large group, plan for at least half a day. The coordination between the boat house and the reservation counter could be better. Folks at the reservation center are very nice and understanding, boat center folks can use some tips to multitask.

We stayed in the new cabins up the hill, and they were amazing. The view is breathtaking and the lake is very peaceful. Also lots of deer wandering around the property. The restaurant isn’t the best, but what can you really expect at a national park. Cabins were surprisingly big, and come with a fireplace.

Google
8/27/24 3:58pm 2 employees each parked in handicapped parking in front of the main lodge. A golf cart and a blue mini van. Oh the hospitality. Don’t let nice photos of the cabin row fool you, they now are complete with litter and weeds. including a rude employee at the boat rental. What a letdown.

Yelp
Wow, it is so hard to give this place a low rating. Especially because it is truly in one of the most beautiful places on earth: Lake Crescent inside the Olympic National Park. But that's where the magic ends. This was simply NOT a pleasant place to camp in our RV for four nights this summer. We had visited last year and had a much better campsite, which made the experience a bit more pleasant. The campsites (which are NOT full hookup, by the way - the website is NOT accurate) are very narrow and you don't get to choose ahead of time which site you're in. So you may end up in a nice site like we were in last year, or you might end up in the site from H-E-double-chopsticks we found ourselves crammed into this year. Seriously, there was about 2 feet around our modest, 25-foot travel trailer on either side. On one of those sides, another campsite was occupied by chain smokers who took their puffing very seriously. Even though the weather was pleasant, we had to leave our windows closed whenever they were outside. They also let their dog wander around (you know the types: "oh, the leash laws don't apply to MY dog"), to the annoyance of everyone. A few people mentioned it to the campground monitors (who take it upon themselves to golf cart through the RV area approximately once every two days in a feeble attempt to look like they care about rules and safety, which they clearly don't), but nothing was said or done so the dog continued to roam freely amongst the campsites. On the other side, between us and the lake, a family reunion of 20 people was happening on a site that was no bigger than ours. Somehow, though, they managed to stuff a travel trailer, two tents, a truck, and an SUV into the site, completely blocking any view we might have had towards the lake. On the plus side, the "resort" (and I use that term lightly) does serve beer in the on-site restaurant. So when we needed to escape the hellscape of the campground, we ambled on over to the cafeteria, grabbed a couple of beers, and sat in the provided adirondacks for some lakeside peace before returning to our less-than-blissful campsite. There's also a fairly convenient little store where you can get the bare necessities (for a hefty price). So if you need some Advil, paper plates, or cold beer/wine they've got you covered. Last year, they had other essentials (like dairy) but it was gone this year. Now, back to those hookups. They will tell you the sites are full hookup but they 100% are NOT. Most sites do have 30 amp power and water; but you will need to use the on-site dump station for your grey and black tanks, so plan accordingly. I saw another review mention there is not on-site garbage facility. There actually is - it's a huge dumpster down by the dump station. It's kinda far from the campground, but it's definitely there. Sadly, our second visit to Log Cabin Resort was definitely our last. There are much better places to camp nearby, like Crescent Beach and Salt Creek.

Yelp
Really an awful experience. Their motto appears to be, "We don't care, we don't have to!" Many of the units are in old, dilapidated buildings that literally have duct tape repairs. It is largely a "family" resort, with lots of kids in paddle-boards and dogs chasing everything that moves. Evenings and early nights can be VERY loud, due to the close proximity of many of the units and the tight confines of the immediately adjacent campground - and the presence of many rude, inconsiderate people. This place is not worthy of being in a National Park - it is truly a disgrace to the concept. Aramark (the concession) is truly terrible, focused apparently and solely on milking as much profit from their decaying National Park properties as possible!

Yelp
#1) It's incredibly expensive to stay here, so you'd think the A-frames (Lakeside Chalet) would be SUPER nice, which they're comfortable and have a mini kitchen with a bathroom & shower, but they're full of carpenter ants that you'll have crawling on you and your stuff 24/7. #2) The campground is a parking lot and you have to pay to use the shower, but there's a laundry room & it's a 3 second walk to the water. NO privacy, almost no trees and you don't get to choose which spot you camp in... the resort chooses for you. #3) The view is outstanding so it offsets the cost because your blood pressure and brain are happy. and the east end of the lake is the best for weather, still water to swim/boat and there's an awesome bike path. #4) There's a gift shop with some ice cream, drinks, boat rental, stickers, shirts, etc. #5) The restaurant is not very good but has a selection of stuff that are kid-friendly and easy on the gut.

Yelp
This place lied to us and said they had full hookups. Well there's no sewer at the sites. Would have prepared better for that. The guy in the restaurant was nice and everyone else were jerks. Also, no dumpster so you have to take your trash home with you. Washing machines bleached our clothes. Restaurant is over priced cold fries and 1 chicken tender type of place. Store excepts cards only so no fun for the kids Spots are very hard to get into if you have a big rig and go on a weekend. Beautiful view of the lake though.

Dennis W.

Yelp
Employees run venmo scams for sites that don't exist manager caves to Karens and toilet paper isn't stocked regularly. There are other campsites along this lake that would probably treat you better. My niece was threatened by another guest who said "I have a weapon permit" the manger then forced my family members to leave. When called later he apologized and said they would be removed that day, he was later seen laughing it up with them and he allowed them to stay. He is a liar and a coward, do nont go to log cabin resorts.

Yelp
The location of this place for beautiful views is wonderful. It has amenities that are very handy such as water sport rental equipment and a restaurant and gift shop. Plenty of rest rooms as well. A couple of downsides were the winding narrow road approach that was a little nerve wracking and we didn't even have to tow! Also one side of the park was hot and unshaded and the other was shaded and very chilly. There was a fair amount of wind while we were there. Overall it was a great time just bring some shade and some warm clothes as well.

Yelp
Located on the shore of Lake Crescent, Log Cabin Resort offers the quintessential summer lake experience. It seriously looks like a summer camp scene straight out of Hollywood. Though my first time here, the experience evokes all of the great childhood lake, camping, summer vacation memories I have and creates a new one I will carry forward. Reading some of the other surprisingly bad reviews I need to say this - if you're expecting a cabin that looks like a posh hotel, anything fancy, are bothered by your neighbors cooking on their fire pit, or concerned about the lack of WiFi, stick to the city. I stayed in one of the lakeside chalets and found it to be absolutely perfect. It's old and rustic sure, but that is the charm. My cabin was clean and comfortable. The upstairs loft is fun and adds to the cabin camping experience. The views are spectacular and the fact that you are a 50' walk from a beautiful lake can't be beat. Every cabin has its own picnic table right out back. It is easy to quickly become immersed the community with all the families hanging out, grilling, eating, drinking, playing games and of course all of the kids running around playing and swimming in the lake. The entire resort is perfection in my opinion. There is a full store on site with all of the essentials. You have the Sunnyside Cafe located onsite with a decent selection of American basics if you don't want to do your own cooking. This was probably the best meal I've ever had from a National Park vendor by the way. That is of course not a high bar, but it was good for what it is. They also have beer on tap in case your cooler starts to get a little light as mine did. Another plus is there is boat, bike, and paddle board rentals on site. I could not be more pleased with my stay and only wish I had booked for longer. I can definitely see myself coming back here. Highly recommended as long as you actually like the outdoors and appreciate that the lake is the amenity.

Yelp
Stayed in chalets by lake. Beautiful location. Overpriced. Chalet was dusty. No plates or cutlery provided. We thought that was included - our mistake. Staff were doing their best but not helpful. Restaurant served cardboard pizza - filled the void. Nothing else close by. Need to bring food with you - and make sure you bring plates, knives, forks. Quiet, beautiful location for which you pay a premium.

Yelp
I knew this wasn't a luxury resort going in. I wasn't expecting much, but I was expecting what was advertised on the website. We got a lakeside "chalet" with a bed in a loft. There is a loft, but there are no stairs to said empty loft. Just a queen bed and a full size right next to it. There is no more fold out couch. Apparently last summer was so hot people were getting heatstroke. Their solution? Not provide fans or air conditioning. No, their great idea was to remove the stairs, put the bed downstairs and not update their website or tell anyone. The room was dirty and had an ant infestation. I don't mean an occasional large black ant, I'm talking about waking up to small ants all over the counter and in the sink. The staff was nice, but they were all young camp counselor types and they completely screwed up the bill. I'm still waiting for a $360 overcharge to be removed from my card. Also, randomly, the restaurant sells pizza, but they don't cut it. Weird, right? The lake and environs are absolutely gorgeous and the views are unmatched. The word "resort" should be removed from the sign. Just call it "Some Cabins".

Yelp
shitty campground and Expensive.$70 night???duck shit everywhere. no toilet paper in bathrooms constantly and filthy. don't waste your money. drive in for the day and return to Fairholme campground for less than half the price.

Yelp
Stayed in a frame right on lake. Needs some upkeep but still beautiful place. Second bed upstairs where it was a bit warm.

Yelp
My wife and I rented one of the two-bedroom cabins (with no kitchenette) almost a year in advance. If you look at the website, they have a great virtual tour tool that shows you the layout of the cabins in proximity to the lake. In the description it shows all of the cabins atop a hill above the lodge, and the description clearly boasts that there is a view of the lake. We were surprised when we were assigned the only of these cabins that is situated in the woods, next to the camper bathrooms, looking at the back of other cabins, cars, and tent campers, and with a small peek-a-boo of the lake. It is literally the only one of the 8 cabins that is separated from the other alike ones, who all expansive and incredible views of the lake, yet they are priced the exact same. When I approached staff, I was assured that "according to hotel standards as long as you can see a piece of the lake, you can put that it had a view of the lake" (I have added below the view of the lake). That is such a corporate, stock answer. In addition to this, they have a sign on their cashier counter that states that "cabin assignments are final", which seems to suggest that they are approached about this regularly. I am writing this so that whoever is running this place is aware that the price should reflect the location of the cabin. It feels deceiving the way it is listed and the way that it was handled. I want to be clear to anyone reading this though: CRESCENT LAKE IS INCREDIBLE AND EVERYONE SHOULD GO AND VISIT. The log cabin itself was clean and the employees were all pleasant. Although we were disappointed with this it did not ruin our trip and we look forward to going back one day, and are hopeful we don't end up back in cabin #8.

Yelp
We just returned from our stay here and we all (group of 11 adults and kids) decided it was by one of our favorite places for our annual family gathering. Beautiful view, available activities, and multiple options for lodging. First, the bad. I had to knock off one star for the bathroom. It's basic and they supply local shampoo/conditioner and soap. But they don't clean them very well. I found mildew along the edge of the shower and there was long strands of red hair on the shower wall. No one in our family has red hair! Eew! We stayed in the lodge rooms adjacent to the main lodge. All four rooms have lake and mountain views. Our rooms were rustic looking but they spruced it up with nice bedding. And the beds were really comfy! The furniture is wicker but sturdy. The cabin has a sink, microwave and mini fridge, but no stove for cooking. We brought our own camp stove to cook on the patio. Each patio is partitioned for privacy with its own picnic table and chairs. We didn't really stay indoors very much. We were too busy going on hikes, canoeing, kayaking, playing in the water (a bit cold), and just sitting and taking in the serene and beautiful view. The kids had a blast playing with other kids staying on the property. The main lodge has a little store: gift shop, basic groceries, cafe, and a restaurant. They do sell cords of wood if you're camping. We'll be back for another family gathering in the fu

Yelp
We camped here with our 32-foot RV and the spot was really fantastic. To be transparent, we were lucky to have had one of the better sites it sounds like, tucked beneath the trees with some shade. The place was packed over Memorial Weekend. Set right on the lake, lots of different options for folks who need lodging (can't speak to the others), and rental options for paddleboats and kayaks nearby as I recall. We spent some nice hours relaxing and playing cards at a one of the picnic tables by the large grassy area on the lakefront. They have a little store there with essentials where we picked up some great quality souvenir t-shirts. Be aware that the long access road is very windy and can be VERY tight when passing a car going the other way, especially if you're towing a vehicle as we were. This isn't a luxury camping spot by any means, but I thought it was perfect for what it promised to offer. It's a great jumping off point for exploring Olympic National Park. We'd come back.

Yelp
Temper your expectations and you'll be pleasantly surprised. We stayed in one of the A framed chalets for an overnight stay on our last day in Olympic National Park. We thought we would have basically a camping type of experience staying here because the website was completely inadequate at informing us of the amenities. We figured it was one night so what the hay. Pros: chalet was nicely apportioned. Comfortable and spacious. Two beds, including one in the loft afforded some space. The view of the lake was amazing from the back. Mini-fridge was a plus for keeping cold drinks handy and for storing some of the local beer sold at the store. A full set of towels was on hand for us to use as was a coffee maker a microwave and board games. Cons: Lots of spiderwebs inside and out. Nothing major or dangerous but shows lack of attention. Walls are very thin and single pane windows let all the cold and hot of the outside, in. Overall this is a solid option for staying in a rustic but comfortable place in the park. Dining at the camp/resort restaurant was ok. Nothing special but not terrible. Staff was super nice and friendly.

Yelp
The customer service in nonexistent. We made reservations a year in an advance for a cabin with 3 beds and the called us 2 months before our arrival date to tell us there are only 2 beds now. They just decided to make the cabin with 2 beds. They insisted that they emailed and called us but I checked my email and voicemail and there was nothing. They forced us to cancel and then still charged us the cancellation fee!!! We stayed there the summer before and only wanted to return because we love the lake. The cabin itself was very dirty, with small, uncomfortable beds. Smoke was also blowing in our windows at night from the campground so we had to shut them. I'm surprised they are still in business.
google avatar

Yelp
The cabin was very nice! I reserved the two bedroom cabin with sofa bed in the living room, kitchen and shower. The cabin was built in 2018 so everything is pretty new. Every bed was total big enough for two person, so it can fit 6 person max. The kitchen provided pot, pan, plates. Outside the cabin, each cabin has a picnic table and fire pit. I brought my own shelter because that day was raining. Remember to make reservation early, super early. In May, I made reservation for August, and already almost rooms and dates were gone!!!

Yelp
FOOD POISONING! We got SO sick from the food we spent the whole night puking!!!! The Log cabin Resort deservers a Zero. Or to be shut down! We went there for lunch. We arrived at 12:30 pm. The restaurant was and looked completely empty, There were no tables set up for eating. except for a table of staff. No one spoke to us or made Eye contact. When we asked the staff behind the counter if the restaurant was open we got a very unfriendly "umm duh". Then when trying to pay for the meal their cash register didn't work. This process took about 10 minutes, Then I Still had to come back after the meal to try to pay again. it still didn't work. The manager had to come to fix it. She wasn't very friendly. She never asked about how was our day, was the food good, NOTHING!! We ordered the Fish and chips and a hamburger with fries. When it came there were maybe 8-10 very tiny french fries. The fish was so oily and overcooked it could bounce, it was that chewy! The Hamburger was so cheaply made. At the table We never had silverware, napkins, Water or found where to get any, The price for the food was outrageous! For just the two items it was 38 dollars!! We got SO sick from the food we spent the whole night puking! We will NEVER GO BACK! we then went into the gift shop/front desk to buy my daughter ice cream. We found a VERY old ice cream bar. When we tried to pay for it at the front desk, THAT machine didn't work! we found out from the best used by the date that the ice cream was more than 2 years old! yuck. We want our money back. We will NEVER GO BACK!!!!!

Yelp
Review of RV camping: not good. There are only a few sites that are decent. These are on the outside of the loop and either tucked into old growth trees, or lakeside. The vast majority of sites are terrible. Avoid any site on the narrow grass strip in the center. They are extremely tight with no shade and surrounded by dusty unpaved road. The good: very easy contactless check in. Just grab your paper off the board and go to site; no interaction required. And of course, Lake Crescent is amazing!! Tons of USFS campgrounds in the area, but if you want full hookups on Lake Crescent, this is pretty much the only choice.

Yelp
I wish I could give this place 0 stars. The moment I arrived at 2:30pm was the moment it started being a horrible time. Let me start by saying I paid $280.00 and some change for 1 night at this basic, crappy cabin. Check-in was at 4pm, check out is at 11am. How is this worth it at all? There is no private beach and the beach that the cabins has is completely overrun with people, blasting loud and annoying music and smoking cigarettes. The "swim" dock has too many boats parked at it to even swim at and the cabin was INFESTED with these huge black ants. The staff were incredibly unfriendly and overall everything was just awful. I felt dirty in the morning after sleeping in the bed and the pillows smelled so awful. They insisted that no rooms would be ready until 4pm because they were "cleaning them for my safety" but when I got into the room the blankets were dirty and crusty and stuck together and there were spider webs and the ants mentioned above everywhere. This place is a dump and is in NO WAY worth spending that kind of money on.
google avatar

Catherine M.

Yelp
Avoid if you are RV camping. The pictures on their website show the campground almost empty and from a decade ago. We booked for a 24 foot travel trailer and the spot was in a ravine and within 6 inches of another RV. great place for tents. awful for RVs
google avatar

Buddatarian V.

Yelp
Dirty! We stayed in a 2 bedroom Chalet because it was the only thing available when we booked. I am ok with OLD but not with a dirty room. Especially at such an expensive rate. The rooms were extremely dusty, so much so that the lamp shades had spider webs. The bedsheets were stained and the pillow cases black from the dust that came off the window shades right above it. If they are going to charge such a high rate they should definitely make sure the rooms are kept clean. The BEST thing about this hotel is the view. The lake view is amazing!

Yelp
We had read many mixed reviews, but decided to give it a try anyways. This place is gorgeous!! It is right on Lake Crescent. Absolutely beautiful view of the mountains all around it. Very friendly and helpful staff. They actually care if you have a problem and work to fix it. We stayed in an A frame chalet that was incredibly close to the water. It has no A/C which wouldn't normally be a problem here, but it was in the 90's during the day so they got quite warm. Rooms could use an update, but clean and comfortable.
google avatar

Sierra X.

Yelp
TL; DR: If you're particular about room cleanliness, do not stay here. --- We chose this resort because we were doing hikes nearby as we were circumnavigating the Olympic National Park during a weekend trip. We stayed in the A-Frame Chalet for 1 night. The shower was DIRTY and there was a huge spider inside on the bathroom window sill. (Not to mention lots of spiders hanging outside right above the front door entrance.) The shower head was too low; I estimate it was only 5' high. There was a metal soap dish attached inside the shower and it was filthy. The toilet was clean, though. The bathroom sink was old; it wasn't filthy but I wouldn't call it clean. Inside the room, there were two beds and a futon. The beds were nice, comfortable and clean. The futon didn't look very comfortable but none of us slept on it. The room was pretty big and had a dining table, fridge, and microwave. The second bed was upstairs in a loft. There was decent cell phone reception at the resort as well. The front desk/main lodge is open from 8 AM to 9 PM. If you need to check in after hours, they will call you or leave you a message letting you know where to get your keys. When we checked in, we paid in advance for breakfast buffet so it saved us $3 each. Breakfast buffet was average; nothing to rave about. There were breakfast potatoes, biscuits, gravy, jam, cinnamon rolls, oatmeal, bacon, yogurt, cranberry juice, orange juice, etc. It ran from 8 AM to 11 AM. The staff here was friendly and the views are great. But considering that room cleanliness is most important to me, in hindsight, I would have stayed in Port Angeles and driven back to the area to do the hikes. I was worried about wasting time if we back-tracked, but Port Angeles isn't that far from Lake Crescent. To get to this resort, it takes about 15 minutes on a windy road down to the lake anyway.
google avatar

Monica H.

Yelp
I didn't stay here. But I went and checked it out, it looked funky and fun and the lake is beautiful so we almost stayed there, but the restaurant was closed and there was no food for miles so we decided to go to the Lake Crescent Lodge instead and good thing we did because we stayed in a beautiful cottage with a fireplace. The Log Cabin "Resort" was super pricey for what it was. The room was an a-frame cabin looked like a typical ski cabin, super shabby with beds to house a bunch of people but we were only 2 so it didn't make sense to spend $138 on a crappy looking cabin.
google avatar

Daniela S.

Yelp
This place's only plus is that it's one of the only resorts or places to stay on Lake Cresent. Not only did they royally screw up my check in but the A-frame cabin was not really clean. There was a used Band-Aid in the bathroom and mold on the shower curtain.....
google avatar

Jay W.

Yelp
There are many things to rate about this resort. There is the lake, the campground, the cabins and then, there is the restaurant. We didn't stay here so can't rate the cabins or the campground. We did spend time admiring the gorgeous, gorgeous lake and then, we ate at the restaurant. What I am rating is the restaurant and the beautiful location. The gorgeous lake and setting definitely gets a 5 star rating. It's absolutely beautiful. However, the restaurant is something else. Maybe we would give it a 2 star. The rhubarb pie we ordered was nummy. However, the clam chowder was probably the worst I had ever had and I've eating chowder all my life and up and down both coasts. This was bad, bad, bad. It was ordered and paid for at the counter. When it was delivered to our table we were then told it was gluten free and dairy free. If he had told us that it wasn't regular chowder, we wouldn't have ordered it. It was thick and lumpy and hardly any taste. I took a few bites and we left. Awful. So, how do I rate this? Well, we would go back to kayak or for another piece of pie. Other than that, not so sure we'd try anything else from the kitchen without asking how it was cooked.

Yelp
After reading the reviews, like many, I was a bit nervous as to what I had committed us too. I was taking my son on a trip for his high school graduation, and he liked the idea of rustic, and my parents have a log cabin that was built in 1922 with wood heat and no water in the winter, so I figured we would like it. We were coming from Massachusetts, so we had to pack what we needed. My bar was much lower than some and I was happy to call and find out that we got sheets, blankets, our cabin #3 with a kitchen, even had heat. I brought all of the kitchen utensils and plates we could handle since we knew the kitchen came with nothing. We arrived to beautiful views, a couple of chairs out front, our own fire pit, a small but very workable kitchen... I had imagined a larger fridge and had to remove the shelves to fit a gallon of milk, but that was ok. Everything was clean, and a little eclectic (the tub had 2 different handles on the hot and cold, I saw it as all part of the charm). Deer wandered around in the evening and early morning which was great. The lodge had games inside, corn hole etc for outside. The staff were all friendly, the restaurant was very good, but pretty expensive. We heard only positive comments from others who were eating there. Wifi in the lodge was pretty weak, but I was completely amazed to have as good cell service as we did. The one thing I can complain about is that we had one outlet that was in the middle of the living room. We could also unplug the coffee maker and share the outlet in the kitchen with the fridge, other than that there were no plugs. We have al become very spoiled with the need for chargers; we survived, you just had to plan. One more complaint is that the cabins were pretty close together; we did not have a neighbor for the first 2 days, but then some came late at night and there was a lot of car door slams and talking which was right next to the head of the bed in our cabin. Luckily we only had an issue a couple of times, other than that , it was nice and quiet. I would return to Log Cabin Resorts in a minute: all of the huge places to visit were 1-2 hours away. We finally went to Port Angeles on the last day and were completely surprised at how nice a town it is; great restaurants, nice stores, we wish we had visited sooner.

Yelp
I love it! So, truth be told, this is totally a National Park joint. It's not fancy. It's not the cleanest. It's a lot like camping, or it is camping, if you're in the campground (obviously). If you're expecting luxury, you better look elsewhere. If you're looking for camping nearly on the shore of Lake Crescent when everything else first-come first-serve is booked (I'm looking at you, Fairholme), then you've found your spot, if you reserved ahead of time. It's right at the base of the lake. Lawn games, chairs, boat rentals (pricey!), a small store for necessities, including local beer. I mean, C'MON PEOPLE! This is NW at its best. Caveat: we had totally, totally awful neighbors, blasting music till 2AM before the rangers showed up (neighbors almost started a fist fight with them). Had I paid for more than a camp site, I might been (more) frustrated. This place is surreal. It's like being on setting of 1961 Parent Trap. It's awesome. Bring your boat/board, plenty of firewood, and have a blast. This place is under new management, and apparently run quite better these days. Thanks for listening!

Yelp
Two years in a row coming to lodge, the first year renting a cabin, the second year we camped, this will definitely be the last. With very poor camping spots, very noisy, and dusty right in between two dirt roads. With no staff on location overnight, left other campers free to party all night with loud music alcohol yelling and screaming. Definitely not the place to relax. The staff are friendly but very inexperienced, the food is good but a little overpriced, would not recommend.

Yelp
We stayed one night in an A-Frame Chalet right on the lake last Saturday. The view was beautiful, but not the chalet. The room was full of spider webs, yes, with lots spiders, especially in the loft area right above the bed on the A-Frame ceiling. One spider was carrying a big egg sack. How could you dare to sleep with the worry that they might drop right on your face while sleeping? Would they bite? Were they poisonous? A huge black ant was crawling right by my pillow. Fortunately I killed it before it crawled into the crack of the wall. So disappointing with the money we paid. Hopefully, the housekeeping standards will be improved for future visitors.

Yelp
My favorite is Lake Crescent so camping here is a dream come true. It's a step back in time. Love the simplicity of it all and going back to 1900's.

Yelp
There are fire rings right outside your cabin. Some jackass is cooking ALL their meals over this fire pit 2 doors down from us. Bare in mind that there are wildfires around us creating terrible air quality. The administration refuses to do anything about this. It is terrible customer service. Go somewhere else, this is chaos.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I visited Lake Crescent as part of a trip around Olympic National Park at the beginning of June 2015. We came in expecting pretty bare bones accommodations but were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and comfort. Even with the chilly/foggy weather at the time, we had a good experience at scenic Lake Crescent. We stayed in Rustic Sleep Cabin #7. There are picnic tables and fire pits in front of the cabins (though you need to buy the firewood), so after arrival we brought out a bottle of wine and got to know some of our new neighbors over a nice fire. The cabin was definitely roomy enough for the two of us, and the beds were reasonably comfortable. The electric base heaters worked well. The shower stall, while cramped and not attractive, was highly functional! Lots of pressure and hot water, which was great after getting soaked while rafting on the Elwha. Housekeeping must have noticed all of the used tissues in the trash bin and deduced that one or both of us was sick, so they thoughtfully left an extra tissue box for us. Keep in mind that these are simple, dated cabins, and you're here for the gorgeous scenery and hiking! The Rustic Sleep Cabins do not have a fridge so consider bringing a cooler (some of the other lodging options do have a fridge). They have ice and other necessities in the convenience store at the lodge. Also, there are very few electrical outlets (only two, I think) so don't plan on charging a gazillion phones while you're here. Not that there is good cell coverage here anyway. We didn't eat at the restaurant but it looks like it has a great view. We had other hiking and rafting plans so didn't get to take advantage of the canoe rental, but on a nice day that would be a mighty pleasant experience. We found the location to be a good launching point for activities on the Elwha River and Hurricane Ridge (to the east) and Sol Duc River/Falls (to the west). The "$$$$" rating on Yelp was certainly not accurate for us. Our room was probably the most affordable stay on our trip. Maybe that rating was for the restaurant, not the lodging. In short - come with appropriate expectations and you should have a great stay!

Yelp
I love this place only if I can get the water front rv spot or stay in a cabin right in lake. The customer service is very accommodating. But the pricing is a little more than I think it's worth ...but they capitalize on very few places that have rv hook ups close to the lake

Yelp
Staff wouldnt give us towels because we came "too late". So we pay like 100 bucks for a mediocre cabin and we aren't even allowed to shower? wooooooow. The view was ok. Not that big of a deal honestly. I've seen better in west virginia.

Yelp
If I could give half stars, I'd give one to Log Cabin Resort. It's somewhere between 'meh, I've had better' and 'a-ok'. We stayed in one of the "rustic cabins" with a lake view and it was BEAUTIFUL! The cabin was fine, two large rooms, a bathroom with a shower. They have boat rentals that I was dying to make use of - we didn't end up taking advantage of em, because our dog was feeling a little needy. Which brings me to my next point. . . . .we chose the Log Cabin Resort because it allowed dogs; only trouble is that dogs weren't really allowed very many places on the property, which severely limited what we could enjoy as well (the lakeside, restaurant - no patio, docks, etc). Oh, and there wasn't much for hiking that didn't require a drive. It was fine as a stop-over, but we might consider a different lodge if we wanted to enjoy hiking and a vaca with the pooch.

Yelp
The resort does not have wifi. I asked about it and was told that it had recently been broken and may be fixed any day. A different employee told me that the wifi hadn't worked all season. I asked to look at one of the rooms so I could book one of the units for my children and was told I couldn't see any of the units (chalet, cabin, etc.) until we booked and paid for it. The resort is great, but the management is horrible.

Yelp
Amazing views of Lake Crescent. We stayed in one of the chalets which satisfies all of our basic needs. Small refrigerator, microwave, one full size bed, one twin, and fold out sofa. We were looking for a rustic outdoor experience and we were very happy. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Small store also has basic supplies and there is a restaurant as well. The lake was extremely clean temperature was probably 65 degrees.

Yelp
Despite the poor reviews, we decided to stay here with another couple, and we're pleasantly surprised! We stayed in two of the rustic cabins, and they were as we expected. Certainly rustic and dated, but clean and comfortable. Each cabin in set up differently, so call and ask about the layout of what's available. In front of each cabin is a picnic table and fire ring. We didn't eat at the restaurant, but chose to grill in front of the cabin for dinner. The breakfast buffet had hot eggs, bacon, oatmeal, and fruit that were all pretty good. Better than the average hotel continental breakfast, but nothing to stand in line for. Most importantly, and missing from all the other reviews, they have a GREAT craft beer selection in the store. This will help you get over the concerns you may have about your room. Worth a trip back later in the season to enjoy the water. The views from the lawn are spectacular.

Yelp
The one constant I found in the other reviews is that this place was "pricey" for the way it looks. However, I did find the area family friendly and with a amazing view of Lake Crescent. We stayed in the A-frame cabin. The staff was helpful and responsive to what we needed. I do recommend that you buy your groceries in town (Port Angeles) as they are cheaper than what the general store has. All in all the was a decent stay on our adventure around the Olympic Peninsula. Your best bet is to stay across the lake at Lake Crescent Lodge. Or if you have a 5th Wheel or RV park it at the Log Cabin Resort. Like the other reviewer I would like to give them a half star but I'm unable too...

Yelp
Wow, wow, wow. Stayed in tent camping. Lake views are gorgeous and there us a biat rental. Lodge restaurant views are the nicest I have seen anywhere in a National Forest. Lodge food fine unlike reviews.state. For $30 to park car and pitch a tent, showers should be free (need to use quarters), but bathrooms and showers were impeccably clean which is worth a couple.of bucks extra. There is a coin laundry too. The beauty of the lake is stunning. Cannot comment on cabins or chalets or lodge rooms. As others have mentioned would avoid buying groceries here and firewood is sold in the lodge. Everything sold in the lodge is overpriced.

Yelp
I love it that there are some bad reviews that might deter so many people from staying here. If you want a hotel experience, cancel so I can have your reservation August 11-17. If you want to get away from it all, this is a great place. If you want a fancier lodge accommodation, then go to the lodge across the lake or in Port Angeles. Leave the lake cabins and camping spots for those of us who think they are awesome. :)

Yelp
I'm giving this place three stars for the views and affordability. That's it. When my husband and I arrived here, their power was out. And had been for hours. We were assured they would get it back on, and were told our room number. We fumbled our way through the dark to our room and had to try and find our way around everything in the pitch black. The power NEVER came back on. Not once. We had to find our pajamas, toothbrushes etc all in the dark. It was not fun and not a happy time. There was no word from staff and not even an apology or a refund. Nothing. In the morning the light was still low because of the clouds but we could see just how unclean the bathroom was. So, yes, this place would be affordable if everything was working the way it should. But for zero power and a dirty bathroom? Way overpriced. The only thing that saved it was that in the morning we walked out the door and right onto the lake front area. It's gorgeous. Absolutely breathtaking.

Yelp
Stayed two nights in new log cabins which were very clean and comfortable. What is lacking is WiFi and since the reception/Resto closes at 9, if you need to research something like"what time is low tide", you have to stand outside the restaurant for an extremely slow WiFi connection.

Yelp
Less crowded and laid back than Lake Crescent Lodge. Cabin with fridge and microwave. Nice.

Yelp
I think everyone reading online reviews should keep in mind that the majority of people who take the effort to review a business are those that have a very bad experience, or people who are just naturally critical. I am writing this review because My wife and I had a great experience. As far the price. It is NOT wildly unacceptable. First of all they don't require a two night minimum during the summer season, and I was able to get a reservation two weeks ahead. It's the summer season in one of the most beautiful, tranquil spots in the WORLD! Perhaps, the difference for us was staying in the Lodge Rooms. specifically room 4. Two Queen beds with nice clean linens. It wasn't a posture-pedic bed, but it was actually a very comfortable night. There is a sink and a mini fridge in the room. Decent bathroom with nice shower. There is a back semi private patio with table and chairs, and it is litterally 50 feet from the lake shore, with big picture windows to let all the light in and the beautiful views. All of this cost $168 for the night! If you want cheaper, then bring your own tent, but honestly, the view alone is worth that money. All of the other park lodges are over $200 a night and good luck getting a reservation. Yes, they may have more upscale digs, but honestly there comes a point where MORE IS LESS! This price also included breakfast buffet! (normally $12.95, which I would happily have paid because it is all you can eat, eggs, bacon, oatmeal, fruit, make your own waffles, coffee, juice! The setup was very nice. I think the dining room was inviting, quaint, great views. We had dinner there as well, which was perfectly fine, you order at the register and take your number to your table and the servers bring you your food. You can have beer (kilt lifter, and Mannys, YES) and wine of a washington assortment. I REALLY don't understand why someone would have a bad time at this place. JUST KEEP IN MIND, it is "LOG CABIN" resort, NOT "five star, foot rub, stone massage resort". I will absolutely be going back and trying the chalets and rustic cabins, and campground. We didnt get to explore the lake much, but this would be a perfect place to call home base next time. I URGE everyone to give Log Cabin Resort the respect it deserves, and a chance if you are not sure where to stay on the peninsula!!!

Yelp
I felt like none of the other reviews were very comprehensive so I felt like a detailed review was necessary to help you decide. My husband and I stayed in an A frame chalet for 2 nights. It was pretty pricey for what it was (160+ tax per night). (more later) The Property: this property is basically a campground with amenities. Behind us there were people camping and then scattered throughout the area there are multiple types of shelters which are priced differently. The view of lake crescent and the proximity to the water is amazing. There is a decently stocked store inside the main lodge. They have a soft serve machine and espresso bar inside the store and also have basic groceries and some beer and wine. There is a boat dock where you can rent kayaks (single and double) canoes and paddleboats. The lake entrance for bathing and swimming was not great- could be upgraded to a proper beach The Restaurant: I would strongly recommend that you bring groceries from Port Angeles where there are large well stocked grocery stores. There is a restaurant. They serve a breakfast buffet ($12.95 pp, open at 8). We never went because 8 is too late for us since you often have long drives in the peninsula in order to see what you want. We ate dinner there one night. Again remember that this is a campground, and the food follows this theme. Pretty basic stuff (cheeseburgers, fish and chips and pizzas, salads) nothing to write home about, and the service is weird. You order at the front, take a seat and then they serve you. You may have to wait a while. There are tons of places to make a fire on the property if you prefer grilling ( they told us that we could use an unoccupied campsite or there is a campfire area near the lake). We simply brought in groceries for most of our meals (there was a mini-fridge in the A frames). The restaurant is fine in a pinch but you aren't going for the food. The room: this is where things fall apart, literally. The room needs a lot of work before they should charge $160 per night. Initial impressions aren't terrible. There is a spiral staircase in the center of the room which leads up to the loft where there is a steeply sloped roof with a full size bed. There is a bed downstairs (full) and a futon as well. A family or group of friends could stay there but there is no privacy other than the bathroom. The bathroom is large enough and there is a good amount of counter space but it needed a lot if help. The toilet ran, the sink was cracked and rusted and it did not feel clean. They did stock with toiletries. The shower was hot every time we used it (which allayed my fears). The main room was partially carpeted and seemed clean. The kitchen was equally in need of update. there was a broken coffee machine (has Norelco made coffee machines since the '80s?). And there was a ton of cabinetry which was totally empty. As stated before there is a mini fridge which did it's job. No ac or heat but the windows open to change the temps (some are broken, of course). Overall, if you can't get into Lake Crescent Lodge and you don't mind overpaying for something that is more than a little rough, the views and lake access are nice and so is the staff (very helpful!)
