Google
While leaving Makers Mark, we stumbled across Log Still Distillery! What a wonderful surprise it was. The place has bed & Breakfast, event center, a wonderful tasting room & gift shop. We had a chance to sample a couple, and brought two wonderful bourbons' home from there. We are planning on staying at thier B&B for the next visit and doing a tour, and hopefully get to experience a concert at their outdoor ampitheater!

5-Star Review – Log Still Distillery Our visit to Log Still Distillery was an absolute highlight on our Bourbon Trail journey! From the moment we arrived, the beautifully maintained grounds and peaceful setting made us feel welcome and relaxed. We were lucky to be part of a small group—just three of us—so the experience felt wonderfully personal, almost like a private VIP tour. Our guide was fantastic: friendly, knowledgeable, and full of passion for the distillery’s young but inspiring story. She walked us through the bourbon-making process and gave us a fantastic tasting, explaining the many layers and flavors in each pour with real expertise. Although Log Still is a smaller operation, it’s packed with charm and quality. The visitor center is a true architectural gem, shaped like a giant bourbon barrel, with a stylish bar inside and a cozy gift shop upstairs. From the terrace, you can enjoy a stunning view of the surrounding valley and the outdoor stage, where live music plays every weekend. It's the perfect spot to soak up the atmosphere with a drink in hand. And don’t miss the large event hall up on the hill—ideal for weddings, concerts, or special gatherings. This place has thought of everything and does it all with care, warmth, and style. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a unique and memorable bourbon experience off the beaten path!

Google
Amazing and wonderful tour of this beautiful, state of the art distillery. One of the best kept secrets on the entire Bourbon Trail! Also, the bourbon is distilled and sourced on site, and is as complex and delicious as any other bourbon on the market. Also, they are pretty generous with their samples too!

Google
Pretty good tour by one of the Dant family members. The property was huge and beautifully kept. The tasting was great! We got to sample 2 gins and 4 whiskeys. Would recommend checking Log Still out if in the bardstown area.

Google
We had an amazing tour at Log Still. The property is very newly built on beautiful grounds. We love how they saved the water tower and the history behind the distillery. My wife and I were the only ones on our tour, but this made the experience even better. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and the staff was gracious enough to give her a free drink. Our guide was fun and very entertaining. Highly recommend and can't wait to visit again to see all the upcoming changes.

Google
Log Still Distillery is a craft distillery and is family owned. When my wife and I visited we were able to talk with one of the cousins and got lots of great history about the distillery and the surrounding area. Very well thought out blends and bottle designs. Absolutely worth a trip.

Google
This Distillery was beautiful and we really enjoyed our tour and tasting! They have a nice tour, a bar, amphitheater, beautiful lake, and accommodations on site. They also just broke ground on a restaurant. We look forward to visiting again in the future and seeing the progress as this property grows and blooms! The Monks Road Gin was delicious and my husband bought 2 bottles and he doesn't usually like Gin. We also tried the Sara cocktail and it was sooo good:)

Google
me. They were having a concert and a wedding so not only were we rush to leave, they didn't time the tour properly and we were rushed through the tasting. Our tour guide was nice, but lacked enthusiasm and it was like being at a mundane bookclub. To add insult to injury, nothing in the tasting stood out or was impressive. It would've frankly been better if they just didn't book the tour given the circumstances.

Yelp
We were in the area for a concert and decided to schedule a tour at Log Still Distillery--and we're so glad we did! We've been on quite a few distillery tours over the years, and this one stood out as one of the best. The entire place has a welcoming, family-first vibe, and it's clear that it's both built by and run by people who care deeply about what they're doing. Terry Dant gave our tour, and he was absolutely fantastic--knowledgeable, engaging, and more than happy to answer every question we threw his way. His passion for the history of the distillery and the Dant family legacy really made the experience feel personal and memorable. We thoroughly enjoyed both the tour and the drinks. Whether you're a bourbon lover or just looking for a great Kentucky experience, Log Still is absolutely worth a visit.

Yelp
We came here on a Sunday afternoon after visiting family at the Abbey. Great service and friendly staff. The grounds are huge. I would love to see it during a concert time. We were greeted immediately when we walked in and the bartender was even one of the Dant descendants. So just extra fun and they were willing to answer any questions and especially shared about their 47 number. I ordered the spiced revolver cocktail that was delicious and my husband had a burnt old-fashioned.

Yelp
They have beautiful grounds and lots going on, but neither the tour nor the tasting were worth our time.

Jen B.

Yelp
Meh. This place is trying, I guess. It is basically brand new but tries to look old- which is glaringly obvious in a place like Bardstown with established distilleries. We did the tasting and were not impressed. Don't waste your time.

Rhonda H.

Yelp
Staff did an excellent job presenting the products. Fell in love with the barrel finished gin as I've never had gin before. Ended up buying 2 bottles that day, one being the single barrel. Loved the look of this distillery as it was very warm and inviting. Would definitely recommend coming here!

BT C.

Yelp
Poor service for the second time visiting. We will not return! Arrived about 15 minutes after opening. The bartender told us to give her a minute to set up, we wait about 20 minutes and still no service. I wanted to ask her if I could help her because she definitely couldn't multitask. We ended up going somewhere else for a simple beer

Yelp
My wife and I just visited Log Still Distillery today. We were amazed at the owner's vision of making the property a destination location with B&Bs, an outdoor concert venue, a fishing pond, and a tasting room. Most important is the bourbon tastes amazing. I had low expectations and walked out with a new standard of excellence. I highly recommend visiting Log Still. The next time we visit, we will make an overnight of it. I'll bring my fly rod, we'll stay at one of the B&Bs, take in a concert, and of course, visit the tasting room. Hopefully i'll see you there.

Lewis M.

Yelp
Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the History. Product taste great and prices are more than reasonable. Amy was our tour and tasting guide and she was AWESOME!

Gretchen B.

Yelp
Our tour guide, tour, bar tenders, bourbon, gin, the facility, the tasting room we're all top notch! I definitely recommend visiting!
google avatar

Bill M.

Yelp
Really cool place. Bartenders are awesome and whiskey is pretty darn good. Tried the burnt sugar old fashioned. Very tasty. Love the monk bourbon.
google avatar

Don M.

Yelp
Warm welcome by the greeting team, followed by a equally impressive tour lead. Found out more about Log Still from this visit then known previously. Bought a couple of bottles to further enjoy when i return home. Will include in the plans for next visit to the area.
google avatar

Andy D.

Yelp
Informative and passionate staff and tour guide. I love how they have a rich family history and are continuing to stay competitive, but unique in an overall saturated bourbon market. No food served here , but try to catch live music at The Amp.
google avatar

J H.

Yelp
Before Saturday I had only been to Log Still for The Amp, their awesome concert venue. But, with a guest in town we decided to do the tour and tasting. The tour guide was very thorough! He's part of the family but has traveled and learned the business from different angles. He was entertaining and friendly. The tour itself is short but the tasting after is great! You get a flight of 4 liquors they make there: gin, barrel-aged gin, a bourbon and a Tennessee Whisky. As a devoted Kentuckian and light bourbon drinker, I was super impressed with how smooth the whisky was! Of course the tour guide goes over how to drink, how to smell, notes if things to look for. Overall, great experience! After the tasting we ordered a cocktail. The barrel aged gin old fashion was phenomenal! . L O V E D it! There were very few tourists there- it is February- but I know it is quite busy in the warmer months.

Stephen B.

Yelp
Three years later . . . The grounds around the ponds are beautiful. Other than that, no need to visit. To my mind, Log Still's whiskey and gin remain some of the worst on the market, especially with the whiskey at that price. If you tell me you like Log Still's product, you're either lying or don't know what you're talking about. No problem though. Just go to the Abbey of Gethsemani down the road (see my review) and confess your sins. :)

Debbie B.

Yelp
Super disappointed!!! Just spent $20.00 on an Old Fashioned that was served in a regular bar rock glass, small cubes and way too much simple syrup that masked the flavor of their $109.00 toasted oak bourbon. I tasted simple syrup and that was all. I even said light on the syrup. This is a distillery, not a bar...
google avatar

Matt S.

Yelp
The tour guide, Brendan, was fantastic! He provided great insight into the history of the distillery and the entire area. The distillery campus itself is beautiful and has a great atmosphere. I've toured numerous distilleries, and this is easily one of the nicest facilities I've toured.
google avatar

John H.

Yelp
The food was as expected, service was quick and friendly. Typical Chic-fil-a decoration.
google avatar

Richard F.

Yelp
This was our first time to visit the distillery and I can say we were most impressed. When you enter the building the first thing you see is the tasting area. There is a massive three sided bar to sit around and enjoy a sample of their excellent varieties of Bourbon. There is a gift shop upstairs and outside seats where you can enjoy a concert when they have one. There are also very open windows that allow you to view the still and all the workings. It is a beautiful and very well done experience.

Yelp
MY GOODNESS. All of this and it's less than a year old? Outstanding. We came here to try some bourbon - but what we got was an incredible history lesson about a family that just doesn't quit and has invested themself fully into Nelson County. I loved to hear about Lynn and Wally's history and their love of bourbon. Michael did a phenomenal job walking us through the beginnings and we were able to see with our own eyes the progression of the vision. We were able to try the gin, barrel-aged gin, and rye bourbon. Shocked myself when I didn't enjoy the bourbon (I can't do rye) but as a non- gin-drinker I was even more shocked to find a gin I LOVED. It's the barrel-aged for me. It was heaven - and when I had it in an Old Fashioned, it was even more delightful. We won't be back to Kentucky for a few years, but we're planning on coming in hot for the wheated bourbon and restaurant!

Yelp
This was an amazing experience! The property is beautiful with award winning architecture, making each building a sight to behold. You can enjoy rich bourbons and learn about the long history of the Dant family's connection to distilling. The site has a summer concert series and "The Amp" was Spectacular. Beautiful cottages and BB's are sprinkled among the hills, lake and old oak trees!

Cathy J.

Yelp
We had a wonderful time at Log Still. We took advantage of their onsite Bed and Breakfast and it did not disappoint. the home was beautifully decorated, we enjoyed the rocking chairs on the front porch overlooking the local scenery and the bedroom was so inviting. Brenda brought us a delicious breakfast complete with eggs, bacon, biscuits and some of the best tasting gravy I've had in a long time. She topped off our breakfast with her warm, fresh made orange butter cake that melted in your mouth. Our tour with Michael was not only informative, but he is an entertainer too. The tasting was great too. He had suggestions for us after we left Log Still that were great. We will go back again.

Christine W.

Yelp
Every event we have attended with Log Still has been amazing. The chef make food that is out of this world, the bourbon/drinks are awesome and the venue and staff are always welcoming.
google avatar

Erin D.

Yelp
We came here at the end of our day right as they were getting ready to transition into being a bar, but the staff was so nice and did a mini tasting of a whiskey flight upstairs for our walk-in group. Would love to come back on a nice day to the outdoor amphitheater.
google avatar

Tami S.

Yelp
Tour guide Cindy was wonderful and very knowledgeable. The facilities were impressive.

Keeley S.

Yelp
Yes! This is a must stop. Great gin and bourbon whiskey and excellent service. Will definitely be back asap!
google avatar

Bob E.

Yelp
My wife stopped in here on our way to the Kentucky Derby. When we arrived they had the Budweiser Clydesdales there which was neat. The distillery has an amphitheater behind for concerts which has a great lineup. The place has a modern-rustic vibe. The drinks were spectacular. We had a mint julep in honor of the derby. It was made to perfection. I wish we lived closer so we could take in a concert here.

Loren M.

Yelp
Had a fantastic time during our tour of this distillery. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and spent the time to explain the history, the importance of the brands history, and everything the brand had to offer. One of my top tours I've experienced.

Nancy B.

Yelp
No food when we went on a Saturday, early afternoon. Beautiful space inside and out.
google avatar

Mark M.

Yelp
First visit and now I plan on visiting often from Indiana. I loved the bourbon & gin options; the people here are so helpful & friendly. The goal by the entire team is for you to have a great experience and they passed that test. The tour was interesting and fun, the grounds are huge, once they build the restaurant then this place will be perfect. Also, they have an amphitheater! I must take advantage of their concerts. Log Still even has B&Bs for overnight stays with a large pond to walk around. This place is so well thought out, the campus is impressive,I love it here.

John F.

Yelp
I was really surprised to find a distillery that I hadn't visited before, so Linda, Nancy, and I made reservations and drove down to visit. The Bourbon and Gin were top notch, but I fell in love with the Barrel Finished Gin. I drink it straight, with a bit a lemonade, or with a bit of orange juice. Delicious. The tour was fantastic. Brandon was our guide and Cindy was also with us the whole way. Brandon was knowledgeable, friendly, and fun to tour with. I would strongly recommend taking the time to drive by and check it out, but make sure you get reservations beforehand. Our visit was on 22 APR 23

Yelp
New distillery right outside of Bardstown, KY in New Haven. Log Still opened in May 2021. Went for a tasting and learned about the history of Log Still. The distillery will begin distillery their own bourbon soon. Currently they have gin and whiskey to taste. Awesome building that will have an awesome campus once construction in complete.

Alyssa M.

Yelp
This was by far one of the best distilleries we went to while on a trip in the area. It feels very much like home. Amy was our bartender and she was so great. We tasted some great bourbon and gin. While making some new friends. Not to mention that the grounds are beautiful! We will most definitely be back to visit!
google avatar

Deidre L.

Yelp
Amazing people, amazing place. We LOVED Log Still and the rich bourbon roots tying back to some super cool history. A must visit!

Teena F.

Yelp
drink are super expensive, served in small glasses and taste watered down or maybe only a splash of alcohol. if you go general admission tickets you get no access to a restroom, only porta potty's. This place is not meant for the general public. I give them 5 years, they will be closed down. They are a rip off, which is why they don't have shit for concerts this summer.

Beth M.

Yelp
What a great little gem!! This place is gorgeous, amphitheater, cool bar, really pretty buildings and the view can't be beat. We were there on trivia night and had a good time playing with the locals. We each had a cocktail which were both ok- not fabulous but not bad ; pricey like everything else in the area. I think this is one of those places that will become a favorite in the warmer weather- it's truly a beautiful spot!
google avatar

Susan W.

Yelp
This was one of my favorites in the BT. Friendly and informative staff. Great family history, and I love that they've come back to their roots and support their local community. We discovered Monk's Road a few months ago and started recommending it to friends. Now we will recommend this experience at Log Still.
google avatar

Cheryl I.

Yelp
Loved everything about this place! We decided to go just for a drink and live music since we missed the daytime tours. The place is beautiful! Came back two days later to get a tour in before leaving the area, so happy we did! Got a private tour by Frank I think his name was. Such a nice man and so knowledgeable about the distillery and it's background and plans for the future! Loved the bourbon and the gin distilled in bourbon barrels so we bought some. Definitely check them out you won't be disappointed!
google avatar

Artie W.

Yelp
Great scenery an the staff at log stil was very friendly an very knowledgeable of the history an it is one of my favorites places to go for a walk to around the lake an we will return for a concert an bring friends to enjoy the food one day and drinks

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Our tour guide was very knowledgable and we very much enjoyed learning the history of the distillery and the family's story. The tasting was delicious!
google avatar

Aprill K.

Yelp
Excellent distillery with live music. Beautiful grounds and helpful associates. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Heather K.

Yelp
Beautiful location and facilities! Great staff! Awesome Gin!

Mike C.

Yelp
Did the tour and stayed in one of the B&Bs. What a great experience. Mike was a great tour guide. Been on many a bourbon tour and by far the best. The grounds are beautiful and I bet a show at the AMP would be a perfect setting. Can't wait to come back.

Chris M.

Yelp
We visited Log Still and had a great time! Very knowledgeable tour guide! The grounds are beautiful! We will be back to see all the updates!
google avatar

Geoff D.

Yelp
Absolutely great distillery! Bourbon was quite good, guide (Avery) was excellent. She was through, funny and she & Frank give us some great background on the history of Log Still. Look forward to coming back for their concert series and the future rail car stays.

James R.

Yelp
This place is a new and hidden gem. We visited between tours of other major distilleries, and weren't expecting much but I could not have been more wrong! The campus is coming along nicely, and is gorgeous. It's located on the old Dant farm and has ton of history. Our tour guide was fantastic, and the tasting was delicious, they have an amazing product. This place is going to be the next hot distillery, and with multiple b and bs on the property and a huge restaurant coming soon, I will definitely be back!
google avatar

Chuck W.

Yelp
Everything from the grounds to the staff to the bourbon. It is such an incredible place and they have done such an amazing job. The ambiance is incredible and you'll love exploring the grounds. Highly recommend.

Bob S.

Yelp
We had a great time visiting the facility. They have a beautiful facility in a beautiful part of KY. Frank was very informative and accommodating. The history of the area and distillery was fascinating.
google avatar

Taylore C.

Yelp
This was our first distillery we had visited and had the best time. They had laptops sent up for a virtual tour when we came, and it was very educational! Loved hearing all of the history and future plans for this facility. Can't wait to come back over time and see their progress!

Kent S.

Yelp
SCAM ARTISTS! Never attend a concert here again! Paid 632 to see Rick Springfield...cancelled after two songs due to weather. Venue only offered 50% off any other concert...after I already paid them 632 dollars for a concert that never occurred! I will be contacting BBB, KY Attorney General's office and my bank to recoup my money. AGAIN, NEVER ATTEND A CONCERT HERE! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
