We had an outstanding dinner!! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel so welcome. Everyone we interacted with was warm, friendly, and attentive without ever being overbearing. For our meals, we ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese and the Ribeye. The Rigatoni Bolognese was fantastic—the pasta was perfectly cooked, and the sauce was rich, hearty, and full of flavor. You could tell it was made from scratch. The Ribeye was equally impressive—juicy, tender, and cooked exactly to order. It was seasoned beautifully and practically melted in your mouth. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, which made it easy to sit back and really enjoy our meal. Between the excellent food, the wonderful service, and the welcoming vibe, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. If you’re anywhere near Speculator, I highly recommend stopping by Logan’s. It’s definitely worth it!

My boyfriend and I ate here in the winter when we went snowmobiling, and again this summer when we went to the lake. We liked it so much we ate here every night for dinner. The owner, his sister, and all the waitstaff was very friendly, kind, and accommodating. The food was great. I tried something different each night with no complaints. And I enjoyed a margarita with my meal which was also good. One night there was a man playing music which we enjoyed. It was a relaxed atmosphere and the food came out quickly. Thursday night was lobster night and we both took advantage. It was delicious. We really appreciated the feeling that it was a family place where we could be comfortable wearing jeans and just stop in to eat some delicious food quickly in-between each adventure.

We have ate here several times now and the food has been absolutely mouthwatering. The beef is seasoned to perfection and cooked to a temperature that is simply superb. Jeremiah is not only an astounding bar tender but a friendly and obliging host. We have found a favorite eating place in Lake Pleasant.

Google
We ate there twice. The lunch was decent but our dinner was not good. One of our steaks came out very rare and had to be sent back to cook more. The other, which was ordered to be medium, was extremely well done. It was so over cooked that it resembled beef jerky instead of a steak. The service was very slow, especially at dinner. Yes, we had a large party but everyone's meal came out at least 5 minutes apart. I would only go back if it was the only place open.

We’ve stopped at Logan’s a few times over the last several years while passing through and haven’t been disappointed yet. This time was a Saturday around 6pm and the place was very busy. We didn’t have a res but got a small table by the bar quickly. Lucky for us their meatloaf was the special which I’ve had before. It’s delicious and you’ll have enough leftover for a couple more meals. Very friendly service too

We're in the area camping. Don't know all the rules. Saw they advertised lobster on Thursdays. Walked in, it was packed. Nice people at a table by the bar offered us their table since they were leaving. Got yelled at by the dude in the lobster shirt that he had to clean the table. We waited patiently for that. Sat down. Realized while we were sitting there that you had to call ahead for the lobster. Understandable. Not exactly lobster country. Moved to the bar seats when they opened up to let others have a table. We were conversing with the nice bartender about the fact we came for lobster but realized you had to order in advance, when lobster shirt dude screamed at us from the end of the bar, "YOU HAVE TO RESERVE LOBSTER BY MONDAY!!!!!!!" Lobster shirt dude was so unfriendly to us. Is he owner? Manager? Unknown. He is not cut out for customer service. We were chill and not angry. No need to keep yelling at us. Buh bye.

Google
Picked as on our route across the state and a good halfway point. Nice little bar decorated floor to ceiling. The French onion soup they recommend was honestly a bit mild compared to the intense richness I expect for that dish. The French dip sandwich WAS very good, rich and well cooked meat. A little slow even when it wasn't that busy but very friendly and we weren't in a rush.

Excellent food and wait staff! If it wasn't five hours away from home we'd be there every week. Best burger I've had at a restaurant in ages!

Yelp
After hiking a challenging Adirondack Mountain my wife and I wanted to reward our selves with a hearty celebratory meal. On the edge of hangry we stopped at Logan's Bar and Grill in Speculator. As we entered Logan's we were greeted by the manger. He was very personable, welcoming and recommend we sit at the bar because it's a great place to meet and chat with people. We politely asked for a table in the dining area since all we could think about was food and a beer! Our server was pleasant. Took our order and checked on us for drink refills. We started off with a house salad with in-house made balsamic vinaigrette and a French Onion Soup. The soup was fantastic! Not overly salty, perfect amount of onion, croutons and that cheese pull was awesome! I had a cooked to order 1/2 pound Swiss burger with bacon and fries. It was nice to take a break from the Smash burgers that are the sensation right now (don't get me wrong, I do enjoy a double patty smash burger!!). My wife ordered the Eggplant Parmesan. The sauce was home made and tasted great. The eggplant had great texture. We were a bit in awe that this bar and grill served this dish so well. They had a nice selection of New York and national beers as well. We were pleasantly surprised by how delicious our meal was. I would totally recommend Logan's Bar and Grill if you are in the area or just passing by to and from your next ADK destination.

Yelp
Sorry no pics of the food, but take my word for it, I enjoyed the best Cuba Sandwich ever. There must have been a whole pork shoulder in there - ok exaggeration. Despite I felt like Johnny the 8th eating this fresh pulled pork, ham, gooey Swiss cheese, dill pickle, and mustard. "Take me now oh great one, but please let me finish my Corona & Lime." Logan's came highly recommended by locals and it was indeed the place; fun dining room, pool table room, and quaint bar space.

Yelp
Great food and friendly service. It was a little chilly in the dining room, but they did turn on the heat about 1/2 way through the meal. Would definitely recommend!

Yelp
Recommend the fish sandwich and the French onion soup, delicious! I liked the way the fish was cooked, very juicy!!! The restaurant is cozy and reminds me of the old times. It was raining and cold today, but this lunch made us quite happy.

Yelp
From the outside it doesn't look like much, but I'm so happy we stopped there. Throughout our trip of the Adirondacks, not many places have wow'd us. Our server was so kind, and was the first we met all weekend with an actual personality. The bar was clean, bathrooms nice, cute decorations everywhere. They played good music and the food was fantastic. If you're looking for somewhere to stop on the drive, go here.

Yelp
Really good food and service! We had the fish and chips and grilled chicken sandwich. We also had their dessert , crème brûlée and their apple crisp with vanilla ice cream. Portions were pretty generous and everything was delicious.

Yelp
Didn't get a chance to eat here, but I was not impressed with my short experience. Was looking for a spot for my wife, baby and I to grab a bite to eat on our way through speculator. I went in and found the bar area to be pretty crowded with only a couple tables which were occupied and a couple open bar stools. No signs saying whether to seat yourself or wait to be seated. I sat in the dining room area, which was totally empty and figured I'd wait for someone to come bring menus and help us. Instead, a couple mins went by before the guy behind the bar popped out and said "guys, come in the bar room." We promptly left...sorry but I'm not squeezing into a crowded bar room with my baby for a bite to eat. We won't be back.

Scott V.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped based on the reviews. The place was mostly empty and we were looked at like we each had three heads when we came in shortly before 6:00. The guy taking our order couldn't have been less personable. I guess you have to be a local. The food which WAS decent took forever to come despite the empty dining room. The place did start to fill up before our food came. After the food finally did come, we weren't checked on once. No drink refills, no asking if everything was ok...nothing. And I had to get up and ask the guy for our check while he was chatting up another table. We had tried to make eye contact with him and the other two servers, but apparently we were invisible. His attitude could not have been more arrogant. I never write bad reviews but this was too much. Maybe we caught them on an off day but I won't be back to find out.

Yelp
Logan's has delicious flavored food, large portions also!! We didn't have room for dessert after appetizers and main meal. We went for our second time. Lobster night was great!! Loved that the manager was dressed up! Great service even on a busy night they still made the evening happen!

Yelp
The type of small town restaurant where the owner takes you to your table, gives you the menu and the son buses the table. We entered after a long day of being on the road and we were able to order some comfort food and be treated well. Our meals came out quickly and everything was prepared as it should. I ordered a cheese burger, fish sandwich and a children's pizza. Like I said nothing was gourmet but it hit all the right spots. It was nice to be in a mom and pop place where the owners are front and center.

Yelp
Great food- you won't be disappointed! Fun atmosphere, lots of locals eat here, casual and fun. Good for kids & family groups, or in our case we needed a spot to watch a NFL game. It's genuinely great- love this spot.

Tracy A.

Yelp
Had grilled salmon and "mixed veggies", nothing spectacular but a good meal considering I was in the Adirondacks. Salmon was cooked a bit more than I like but had good flavor. The mixed veggies were just zucchini and yellow squash sautéed in butter, but tasty. The neighboring table ordered the special-sea bass filet over lobster risotto-and spoke very well of it, as did one of the people I was dining with. Others in my group were very happy with their selections, as well-Eggplant Parmesan was "the best I've had in a long time" and Chicken Riggies were "awesome". Service was great-personable and got our orders correct, even for those of us who asked for alterations to the menu. I had been here two other times, I'll stop back next time I'm in town.

Yelp
Place is awesome. We eat there every year when you come to the Adirondacks!! The owner is always so nice to the kids !

Mikhail P.

Yelp
Great place. We ordered ribeye steak and special lobster and shrimp pasta. It was awesome. Clean place with friendly staff. Will be back for sure!!! Steak cooked fro perfection and pasta was al dente.

Yelp
Wonderful service and amazing staff. Even though they were busy both Jeremiah the manager and Ashley one of the servers were very willing to accommodate. They took our to go order and had the food ready very quickly. Great food great service, what more can you ask for?

Yelp
We're not sure why we've never heard about this place. What a wonderful surprise! Food (burger / French dip) was absolutely excellent. Owners/chef clearly care about customers! Other plates of food ordered around us looked excellent and expressions of the those customers suggested they were quite happy with their food too. We'll absolutely be back here again. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Got accosted for not having a reservation even though the place was empty. Very rude. Food was ok. Won't be back.

Claire Z.

Yelp
Logans is our favorite spot in the area. Jeremiah is your gracious host and makes you feel like one of the gang. Come for lobster night on Thursday (you can even reserve!) or any night for the great specials. I love the mile high meatloaf !

Yelp
So, there's a new head chef at Logan's and it shows. My boyfriend and I are in the area camping for the Labor day weekend and chose Friday night for a nice dinner out. We are so, so glad we chose Logan's. I wish I took pictures, but we were hungry and dove right in. We started with the Crab Fondue...cheese pulls and flavor for days. Piping hot with garlic bread toast points with parsley and fresh parm. You could serve 4 people with what they give you. Go with the extra garlic bread! Then we each had one of the specials. My boyfriend had Sea Bass with a sundried tomato base broth over a hash medley. So tender and flakey and the depth to.the sauce was amazing. I'm not doing it justice by any means. I had the scallops wrapped in prosciutto on a skewer served duchess potatoes and a mushroom au poivre sauce. Luscious doesn't even touch how delicious this was. Perfectly tender grilled scallops and you wanted to lick the plate the sauce was so good. Too full for dessert, but the homemade special was apple crisp ala mode and I wish I had room. When I am back in the area or out for a drive, I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Logan's is an amazing oasis in the midst of a tremendous area. Jeremiah and his family are wonderful host and the Stuffed Logan burger must be tried!! Make a point to stop here if you can...

Rich S.

Yelp
Do not eat here. We stopped to eat and the guy that greeted my wife told her his restrooms were out of order. We left immediately. If the restrooms don't work then you shouldn't be open. If they do work then your just rude assholes.
google avatar

Darlene S.

Yelp
Had a great dinner at Logan's! Everyone at the table loved their dinners. Fun atmosphere and excellent service by the staff...will definitely go again!

Yelp
I stop here with the family just about every time we camp at Moffitt or are passing through Speculator. Seems like we have a better experience each time! Most of all the staff is super engaging and attentive, and very kid-friendly. The food is solid and they know how to make a good french fry. Good variety of beers and great atmosphere. Highly recommend!!

Yelp
Dive bar and restaurant in this small town. Service can be gruff, but food is decent. The best thing I saw was the eggplant parmigiana, although I ended up ordering the "mile high meatloaf." It was decent; a few pounds of meatloaf stacked on a bed of mashed potatoes with gravy. The dish isn't going to win any awards, but it was definitely comforting. They did OK with our group of 14, but food came sporadically. Some of us got food a full twenty minutes after most of the table had theirs, but it's not the sort of place you expect perfection. Prices are fair for what you get and the portions are huge. Next time I'd get the Eggplant Parmesan; it looked like a delicious meal and I had a bit of dish envy.

Yelp
Great lunch! Rachel turkey Rueben, sausage and pepper sub, and cheese burger for the kid. Sweet potato fries were yummy! Service was great.
google avatar

Yelp
Good simple and straight forward. Taylor Was working bar and was helpful and attentive I with jeramiah for a little about the trail system and was helpful and happy to oblige. Deff a stop for Snowmobiling and maybe a burger on my way through during the summer.

Susan L.

Yelp
Had another delicious dinner here! Oh, and a great, refreshing gin and tonic. Great family place.
google avatar

Yelp
Had a filling tasty meal at Logan's. We started with delicious onion soup. The Asian chicken was good nice dressing fresh greens. The Chicken Riggie was delicious, a little chicken, mushrooms, black olives, hot cherry peppers and the vodka sauce over enough rigatoni (it's a Utica thing) for two people (I had left overs) Soup and pasta piping which is not always the case. Good prices. Nice selection of craft beers. Chef/owner was sous chef for Anthony Boudain and competed on Chopped.
google avatar

Trina D.

Yelp
My daughter and I ate lunch on a day when they were not busy, and we got all the attention in the world! I had the nachos and a soda, and it was to die for! My daughter was so impressed she tipped the waiter a $20. I doubt he'll forget us for a while!!

Ben H.

Yelp
Delicious!! Great burger and crispy onion rings and fries
google avatar

Yelp
Good place for a casual meal or a drink. Free Wi-Fi. Logan's is just off the Four Corners on Route 8. Decorated with photos of the owner's son, Logan, this spot is a great stop for a tasty lunch with or without kids. The bar area, which has a good number of beers on tap, is in a separate area from the dining room, though visible through windows if you're trying to catch the score of the game. We ordered the Philly cheeseteak special wrap with onion rings (delicious), French Dip sandwich with slaw (just so so), and a children's meal which came with star shaped fries. Service was efficient and friendly, and the place really filled up even on a weekday in off season.
google avatar

Tabatha M.

Yelp
Great pub style food and a good selection of local brews on tap. Friendly staff and atmosphere. We arrived unannounced with a group of 6 after a day of kayaking. We were hungry and tired. They accommodated us right away and our food soon followed. Burgers were cooked to the right temps and delicious. Will definitely be back.
google avatar

Peggy B.

Yelp
We stopped here for lunch, and we got very friendly service, and a delicious meal. Good homemade soup, tasty onion rings and a large turkey, avocado sandwich. I recommend this this place
google avatar

Abby N.

Yelp
Got there about 20 minutes after the kitchen officially closed but the cook came out and asked us what we wanted! Food was delicious and they couldn't have been more accommodating!

Andrea A.

Yelp
Good wings.... ordered the butternut squash soup and that was really good. Fries were delish. We were in from Brooklyn, and this small, friendly bar/ grill was welcoming and there was good conversation. Comfortable atmosphere.

Aubrey M.

Yelp
Improper mask placement on severs, mask under nose, other staff ('Scott' and 3 others) were in diningroom without masks. People pointed out that they just wanted to go home. (We left before others.) Staff were talking very loudly with server's family about politics, anti-LGTBQ, anti-BLM, pro-Trump stance, all while walking back and forth to the table without masks. Totally obnoxious and unprofessional. Will not spend money here again. Not to mention, crap wine. Go next door or to Indian Lake Restaurant over this place.

Kristen W.

Yelp
Pretty disappointed. We ordered the bruschetta for an appetizer and while it tasted good, the bread was too soggy due to the oil/balsamic vinegar/melted cheese. We asked our server for appetizer plates and they were filthy as if they weren't washed from the last use. My husband ordered the balsamic chicken special and he said it was really bland, but his side of zucchini and yellow squash was good. I ordered the shrimp and crab in a cream sauce over fettuccine and it was good but not at all hot. My husband's Guiness was also flat. All in all, not worth the money.
google avatar

A H.

Yelp
I don't get the bad reviews. Food was very good, lively atmosphere, attentive service, reasonable prices. Definitely not a dive, as one reviewer said. Overall charming, friendly place in a tiny mountain town
google avatar

Lisa B.

Yelp
My party showed up as a last resort for dinner and we were so thrilled with the whole experience. The food was amazing....dessert I've ever had. I would deffinelty recommend the crab dip. Along with the amazing food they had fast service.

Chris C.

Yelp
Delayed review....hopefully they have improved. Kitchen staff more interested in riding around in 4 wheeler outside restaurant. They must have forgotten about our order because everyone around us was served while we waited. Not easy with two small children. Once food came it was uncooked. Waitress barely apologized. Will never return on our annual visit through Speculator.
google avatar

Lilly S.

Yelp
We went in for dinner during the off-season and they were great! We were greeted right away, served quickly and the food was delicious. We got a Po Boy and a chicken Cesar salad. Small town hospitality. No complaints. Will definitely be returning.

Just M.

Yelp
Best restaurant around! We've enjoyed the fish and chips and there is a good beer selection. More parking in the back.

Aras K.

Yelp
Amazing small town feel. Everything we ordered was delicious. Staff and locals make this place awesome definitely highly recommend stopping in!!

Carol W.

Yelp
Our go to place for dinner. Jeremiah is so friendly and attentive. The food is good, hot and fast. Logans is a local establishment, with local flare and great specials. We live it.
google avatar

Ed M.

Yelp
Stopped in on a Monday night with a party of 6 and we're seated immediately. Relaxed pub atmosphere with locals hanging out. Good wait staff and the food was solid. Hearty portions and good pours. A good option for this area.

J L.

Yelp
Dinner was fine. I had the Little Logan which was a 1/3 pound burger for those with smaller appetites. I was happy to be able to choose zucchini instead of fries for my side. My Dh had chicken tacos which were also fine. On tap we had Flower Power IPA, Iroquois pale ale, and Yuengling lager - all tasted fresh. Our server was not able to tell us anything about the beer, which was a little disappointing, but we enjoyed our dinner and would come back again.
google avatar

Ann K.

Yelp
We stopped at Logan's on our way to Chestertown and boy am I glad we did! I had the turkey with brie and cranberry mayo. It was supposed to be on a croissant but I substitued sour dough instead. I would not have thought to put turkey with brie but it was fantastic. Clearly catering to the snowmobile crowd in the winter, Logan's is a fun stop in the summer too! Service was friendly and prompt with the waiter inquiring if we were "just passing through", something that probably happens alot in Speculator. If you live here or are just passin' thru, Logan's is definitely worth a vist.

Yelp
This is a review for Steve and his crew that catered my wedding at Camp Fowler. They did an absolutely outstanding job. Everything was professional, and the food was lights out. Over a year later, people are still complementing us on the food from our wedding. Steve truly means it when he says that he will do what you want. For example, a few weeks beforehand I mentioned that I was hoping to have some pies in addition to the cake. He said no problem, what kind do you want. When I told him key lime, berry, and chocolate peanut butter, without missing a beat, he said no problem at all. He delivered big time on a very important day. And for that, I'm very grateful.

Susan L.

Yelp
Don't order tea. Crime brûlée was great. Pasta and steak were okay. But for tea, I was served a mug of murky white hot water that smelled like chlorine. Wow! That was first. I hope they don't use that water for making coffee...In addition, the utensils were not clean enough. I had to wipe smudges off with napkin. Otherwise, it's a nice place.

Yelp
The food was delicious and portions were huge, the server was friendly and efficient, and a good time was had by us all.
