It's been a long time since I've stayed at a hostel, but I know one when I see one and this is a good one. Located a couple of short blocks from the middle of town, it's a great place to stay. The place isn't staffed in the evenings so all guests have to make arrangements online so they can send you the room and door code information. We parked in the back and passed the beer house on the lower level where they serve brews and a little food. Taking the elevator or the stairs to the first floor you see a cafe, a souvenir shop to the right, and there's a lobby area where you can sit and enjoy your snacks, lounge, or mess with your laptop. They also rent out bikes for free for their guests which is a nice amenity. Going to our room, we found a hammock stretched across the room over the beds. It looked fun, but I was too afraid to try it for fear I'd flip off and land in the middle between the beds and on the ground, so I just removed the caribeener to get it out of the way. There was a bike stand inside the room which also was a surprise. They had mugs, a refrigerator, sink, and even old towels for you to use to dry your gear or your dog without ruining the newer towels (they charge you for that, which I guess is fair). The one thing they didn't have was a bathroom. That's when I realized we were in a hostel. But no worries. It may be inconvenient, but there is a shared bathroom that is super clean with four or five shower stalls, which actually I didn't mind. There is no forced heating or air conditioning, so the bathroom and hallways were ventilated by fans and the rooms had air conditioning units, which we needed during our stay. Our pups came with us and we were grateful for that because the town square is so puppy friendly. We had a good stay and except for not having a personal bathroom, it was perfect.
