Loggerhead Marinelife Center

Such a great little place to go with the kiddos or the family. My son and I absolutely love it here. Everyone is always so nice and friendly and helpful. The little cafe upstairs has delicious little snacks as well. We love seeing the sea turtles here always an adventure I highly recommend checking this place out.

Visit often as an animal advocate people have adopted animals in my daughters name and we do help with donations when we go although it is free to go it’s nice clean and they truly care about the turtles . Awesome place to teach children about our oceans and be kind to all sea creatures ! We have been coming here for 6 years !!! ( only issue is see when my baby was a little baby we could get up close without being yelled at haha miss that she loves saying hi and the turtles ) .

The Sea Turtle Festival was this last weekend, Feb 21-22, 2026. It was my second year. An excellent event to learn about sea life and our marine ecosystem. Thank you to FPL for sponsoring. The festival rides and vendors are great. It was an awesome day to take my son out.

This place is absolutely amazing!!! I am from Michigan and this place is the reason I choose to travel to this area. I went in 2019 for the first time and did all the tours and releases etc. I always said that I would be back and I came back recently and I brought my friends and kids. We didn’t do the extra tours but it was still amazing and fun to check out. We love the gift shop too. Oh and there’s a great beach right across the street!

This is one of the coolest places I have been to I just wished my grandson would have been with us. He would have loved it. They doing an amazing job getting these turtles healthy again and releasing them.

Loved it. We were lucky to see a turtle who was most likely attacked by a shark being returned to it's tank. It was finished with her check up and the patient was on a gurney and place back in her temporary home. In about two weeks ready to return to the ocean. Staff was absolutely wonderful!

Everyone who’s interested in turtles needs to visit this marine centre. It rehabilitates injured turtles as well as ensuring the local nesting areas are perfect for the turtles. There is so much information here and yes you get to see some turtles in their holding tanks. Can’t recommend this centre enough. I paid for a public tour and the volunteer tour guide was amazing with her knowledge, (it cost $20 well worth it).

Non-profit so donations accepted but not required. Wonderful work being done at this beautiful facility. Great educational place to visit. Excellent children's exhibits. Knowledge and friendly docente. Nicely stocked gift shop. There's a cafe but we didn't visit.

This is a great place to visit if you are in the area, for kids and adults alike. I visited as a kid many years ago, and was excited to return on my recent trip. When we arrived, there was a large desk inside. There were staff/volunteers there to greet us and tell us about the center. While admission is technically free, I'd recommend being prepared to make a small donation as I got the sense it was expected. We visited on a rainy day, but much of the outside area is covered so the rain was not an issue for us. In the main turtle area, there are signs at every tank with information about the turtles, as well as lots of volunteers available for questions and conversation. We were also there during a fish feeding time which was a cool experience. They even have a nice indoor exhibit with a fun interactive digital fish tank. Overall, this is a fun place to visit to see turtles and other kinds of marine life, and to learn about conservation and rehabilitation.

**INITIAL REVIEW** I have to thank Freeze Tag Games, the genius company behind the popular scavenger hunt game Munzee, for utilizing their Eventzee tech for the Jupiter, Florida Passport. Because of this passport, I learned about the Loggerhead MarineLife Center, something I probably would not have heard of because I do not live around the area. Being an adventurer, I had to make a stop by to the center as I am an advocate of protecting our sea turtles and other maritime wildlife. After visiting, I am so thankful for what the good people here do and show, as well as what the center provides to guests, that it is "highly recommended" by me (as well as other noteworthy boards and venues) and gets my very rare "5-star rating on an initial review." Though an address is provided, Loggerhead MarineLife Center - which I will shorthand simply to LMC for the remainder of this review - is the central building in Loggerhead Park. Given that the park is centralized to LMC, it also has the Aloha Surfing School, playground, picnic kiosks, restroom, walking nature paths, and ample parking not just for the park and LMC, but for beachgoers, too. Returning to LMC, the main entrance is located on the westside of the building. You will enter in a smallish lobby in which workers will greet you at the front service desk. There, they'll give you the rundown of what the facility has to offer including exhibits, tours, and shows. Since LMC operates on donations, there is an easy-swipe donation section in which you can give cash donations or use your debit/credit card for their dedicated swipe machine. Said machines are small and have a specific dollar amount emblazoned on the classic clock display. I gave them $20. There are other ways you can donate to LMC, but that is through a "save a turtle" membership. They are monthly engagements with no commitment, and depending on the membership, you'll get more goodies. The one goodie that differs on the increased amount is the turtle plushie. The base core gets none followed the next highest-up getting a small plushie. Of course the largest monthly membership has a huge plushie. However, it should be stressed that donations and memberships are not mandatory. Entry into the LMC is totally free. Any monetary donation or membership is strictly voluntary. After your introduction at the lobby, you can go through the north opening to the store, but I saved that for last. Instead, I went through the east doors to the main interior of LMC. The center is a large courtyard. The center of LMC is open while rooms are built on the exterior. Think of a hacienda but on a larger scale and you'll get LMC's design. In the lower level of the courtyard are rehab tanks of Loggerhead turtles receiving care and a tank filled with hatchlings. One level up are the aquariums and the children's play area. Along the outer part of the courtyard are numerous rooms dedicated to study and nurturing of marine life. Some of the rooms, however, are interactive displays and exhibits for guests, theater viewing rooms for shows, and the cafe which opens at 11 a.m. (which I did not eat at because it seemed as if the food were just simple fare). The one exhibit that goes from the top part of the courtyard on the westside seems to be an "exit" of some sort. It leads down to an interactive coral reef, unique art displays made from plastics cleaned up from the ocean, and a couple of aquariums with some unique details about what is shown on them and how they impact our aquatic ecosystem. I am so happy they brought to attention bioluminescent comb jellies, lionfish, and seagrass. My last stop was the store which has a plethora of items to buy. From clothing to bags to jewelry, they seem to have it all. I personally bought myself some pressed pennies, stickers - including one for my friend's daughter, Penelope - and an iron-on patch. Yep, those are three of my four traveling collectives (patches, stickers, pressed pennies, pathtags) which puts the LMC store high on my list of tourist-centered stores. I did get to see parts of the shows they offered but I was too busy learning about sea turtles and marine life more so that I kind of missed them. Being an avid reader, I did read all them info-giving plaques in front of displays. Ultimately, I am giving LMC my very rare 5-star rating on an initial review. Free but donations accepted, plenty of activities and shows for guests to enjoy, and kid-friendly, definitely a place you want to take your family or for the marine life enthusiast or someone who likes to learn to enjoy. NOTE: I learned about LMC through the Passport to Jupiter app by Freeze Tag Games, the same beautiful minds behind the popular scavenger hunt game, Munzee. The app is free and highlights some amazing points-of-interests throughout Jupiter, Florida. There are also five geocaches in the area, too.

What an amazing place to visit and support! Seeing how passionate the staff and volunteers are about saving local sea turtles and contributing to their rehabilitation is inspiring! Although the center is not for profit, they give visitors the opportunity to donate to support their cause! This is an awesome place for locals, visitors, and families to visit! We loved that we had the opportunity to see the sea turtles up close and hear about their stories and what brought them to the center. In addition, there's an awesome mangrove (with stingrays) and coral reef exhibit outside as well as a jellyfish, lionfish, and seahorse exhibits inside. Their gift store is gorgeous and has everything you can think of from kids toys to local artwork and more! We bought a watercolor print of Jupiter for our home by local artist Ellen Negley! We can't wait to come back in the future!

A truly incredible experience. The staff's dedication, knowledge, and friendliness made our visit truly special. It was amazing to see the care and compassion they show for the turtles, especially witnessing one being brought into the hospital. The work they do is inspiring, and we learned so much about these incredible creatures and their habitat. The artwork throughout the facility is magnificent, adding to the beauty of the experience. We truly appreciate that there's no admission fee, and we encourage everyone to be generous with donations to support their important mission and continue sharing their passion with the public!

Free to visit turtle sanctuary (they take donations, too). Staff was friendly and very informative. The place is very well maintained and laid out with many pools for turtles, research sections, and educational sections for children too. The hospital was constantly bringing in turtles to rescue and working hard to rehabilitate turtles!!

This is a must visit if your on the east coast of Florida. This turtle hospital is free to visit. It's beautifully laid out, including gorgeous aquariums. It's amazing watching the trainers work with the turtles. The location is great. It's next to a little play ground and across the street from the beach. Totally worth it to spend a whole day here with the family.

On Monday, October 7, we brought a group of our middle school students to loggerhead Marine life center in Juno Beach. The trip focused on environmental science curriculum, and offered the students a hands-on learning opportunity to learn about marine, ecosystems and sea turtle conservation and the importance of protecting Florida coastal habitats. Upon arrival the students were greeted by the centers educators and given an overview of the facilities mission loggerhead marine life Center rehabilitation also focuses on marine research conservation and public education. The students began their day with a tour of the centers exhibit including interactive displays about sea turtles nesting, and threats turtles face from pollution and climate change. In addition to our tour, the students participated in hands-on activities, including a beach, cleanup, simulation, and nesting excavation. students got the opportunity to experience a live procedure performed on a sea turtle in their sea turtle hospital. They had a Beautiful gift shop and also have a café with seating that you can overlook the ocean. It's absolutely beautiful.. i'm not sure what the cost of admission is if there is a cost or if it's by donation. it was an absolutely wonderful experience for our middle schoolers and I can't wait to come back again.

What an amazing experience. All the staff is so knowledgeable and eager to share and answer questions. We liked the fact you can walk around and take your time viewing all the rescued turtles and other exhibits they have. Highly recommend.

Amazing event facilities but our event was after hours so the turtles in rehab were not available

They did such a wonderful job!! I used to bring my daughter to this place when she was a baby. It was so nice to visited again with the family. The service is excellent they are very knowledgeable about the sea turtle. They also have some volunteers helping with the public. They do have a big store to shop for some souvenir. When you walk in they have a service request desk for more information about the place. It very cute to see some of the art they had created with recycling items and the value they put into it.

Amazing place to visit for the entire family! They work so hard to rehabilitate turtles. Free entry but donations welcomed! Such an amazing cause to donate to and support! What a great place! They rescue injured turtles and nurse them back to health so they may be released back into their habitat. They are funded by donations, they ask for a minimum of 10$ per family to enter, and it's definitely worth it. My kids loved looking at all the sea creatures, indoor interactive exhibit, and water table. If you head to Juno Beach this place is a must stop!!!

Such a cool experience with educated staff providing great work to our environment! The front desk was very informative and while entry is free, they do ask for a donation that we more than willing to give. Outside they have the turtles in tanks and a staff member that gives you detailed information about each one that is there. We were able to see babies only a couple weeks old to big Sandy who was an adult turtle. There was also an aquarium with sharks and fish. Inside featured a tank with jellyfish, seahorses, and lionfish. They do have a cafe and gift shop as well. We will definitely be returning!

Sea turtles are my favorite animal, so this was a no brainer place to visit! Completely free admission, excepting donations and run by volunteers. Absolutely beautiful exhibit, and you can tell the people working here love taking care of the turtles who are currently in rehabilitation before being released back into the wild. The place was incredibly clean, and a great spot to checkout with children also! They have a small inside exhibit in the AC to cool off, and learn about how trash in our oceans really make a negative impact. The gift shop is also amazing, grabbed a few things before we left.

This beachfront non profit is known for saving sea turtles and environmental education,but they also thoughtfully share messages of conservation throughout the facility. Parking and entry are free. There's a short walk from the parking area to the building. They do have tours ($10 I believe) a couple times a day, but everyone is welcome to just walk through on their own. I have to say their gift shop is awesome. They have some branded items, but there are so many things there that are really unique and nature-based gifts and souvenirs. Lots of jewelry, clothing, handmade art and handbags. The sea turtle "patients" who are being treated (hit by boats, can't dive for food, some have a virus) are in tanks until they are healthy enough to be released. If you follow the facility's media, you can get lucky enough to attend one of the turtle releases, right out their back door into the ocean! There's several other fish tanks around the facility too. Even a shark! Oh this visit, they also had green sea turtles hatchlings (babies). When those are old enough, they'll be sent out to the ocean. They have programs for kids too.

Located near Juno Beach. A very cool spot with free entrance and parking (they take donations) and a plethora of aquatic life inside. There's sea turtle rehab tanks, a few inside and outside fish tanks with an array of saltwater fish from pufferfish to sharks. There's a decent sized group of staff working the shop and explaining and educating visitors on the turtles there. There's also a gift shop and restrooms available as well. Good spot to take the family if you're in town and spend 30 minutes!

Went with my grandmother yesterday and all I can say is wow this place has upgraded over the years. Top notch staff always willing to answer your questions and provide educational resources to help save Turtles and other marine life. You will find people of all backgrounds and ages here learning about turtles, mangroves, coral reefs and more. The value can't be beat as the center is free admission, they have multiple locations where you can make donations to help the center continue to rescue the majestic turtles and they have a cooler outside where you can bring abandoned/injured turtles for care. The exhibits are amazing and bring great awareness that is easy for all to understand. You can view the hospital area through windows or see the rehabbing turtles in their own unique tanks with a brief history on the animal and why they're there at the center. The gift shop is also amazing as most of the merchandise is linked to one of many marine charities that help preserve the oceans and mangroves. If you're in the area I highly recommend stopping in and enjoy the walk through. You can also take an audio guided tour at the center that will give you history on the animal and or exhibit you're viewing. They have interactive classrooms for homeschooling, school trips and more. You can join their membership program to help the center continue doing the great things they provide. It's miles better than the Seaquarium in Miami which is an utter disaster and is the opposite of educational and treating animals well. The value can't be understated, you will have an amazing time here!!! They have a small cafe where you can purchase some food items.

We love loggerhead so much ! My only star taken away is because we use to be closer to animals and now since they made the fences so high and the pool kids under 5 cannot see the animals and they yell at them if they stand on the fences . Maybe maybe some kind of standing area for their age with a step stool like spot ? I miss that we could get so close before without anyone yelling . But there's some amazing additions like a water play area and mini jungle gym . The animals seem to be doing well and the staff cares! Wish there was more local art in the gift shop and not stuff we can buy off Amazon . I did get some really cool turtle sweaters for my niece and nephew !

Such a cool center for the turtles they a getting better to send back out into the wild. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. There is a nature trail and a cool inside jellyfish aquarium. Good to bring kids too. Got to see all different size sea turtles. So sad why they are there but at least there is a place for them

Today was turtle release day, and oh boy, what a joy! The center's staff gets to see the payoff of their hard work when the huge crowd gathers to cheer the nursed-back-to-health turtles for their triumphant return to the sea. Pro tip: Get their EARLY! The turtles are released PROMPTLY at the designated time, and if you get there at the last minute you'll need to park a mile down A1A. Amazing facility!!! We decided to do the public guided tour for $20 per person and it was worth it. My family and 13 year old son loved it. They even give you a headphone for one ear so you can hear your tour guide better. Lots of great information and our tour guide, Scott, was amazing! Loved his energy and delivery. He kept it very engaging and fun. Will definitely be back.

We couldn't love this place more. We have been dozens of times and this visit we did the hatchling recovery and release and it was amazing. The facility is accessible and beautiful. It's free but they do ask for a donation, any increment! You can see turtles on the hospital, ICU and the tanks, even babies! Then go inside for an interactive activity and to learn more. There gift shop is great and everyone that works there is so kind!

This place does such good work to rehabilitate sea turtles and educate the public about them! It is a great place to take your kids to see the turtles and learn about the ocean, or it is a fun visit as an adult as well. Having come here off and on over the years since I was a child, it is nice to see how donations have allowed them to really spruce up the place and add more educational tanks and exhibits as well as update their medical facilities. Try to donate what you can and have fun! This place will put a smile on your face for a good ecological cause.

Amazing place. The employees and volunteers are so kind. They have a remarkable hospital for injured turtles and they even do surgery on the turtles. They also have a cool collection of sharks and other exotic fish. Perfect for kids and adults. Free admission, but I recommend giving a donation to help fund their good work

Whether you're an adult coming without kids or want to take your kids this is a very great place to spend some time. You will be educated about the sea turtles and you will see all different kinds of them. This is a rehabilitation center where they heal the turtles and then release them back into the wild. I highly recommend coming here and also you can get involved if you want. Great value and service here. Definitely check this place out. You won't be disappointed!

This was a great stop for me and our Framily! The 2 adults and 4 kids (17,14,11,10) all found things to enjoy. The flow of the facility was easy and informative. The love for the turtles was apparent and knowledge was offered by all staff. I did feel a little cheated as the turtles would not engage in personal conversations with me, jk for the front desk people. Really if your reading this and consider stopping for a visit, do it then go to the beach it is right there!!! Save the turtles!!!

The Center is a gem that I never knew existed. They track, rescue, heal, rehabilitate and release these amazing turtles. The tour provide a deeper look into lives of these amazing creatures. I can't recommend more highly, my Wife and I loved it!

I've been to Loggerhead twice...once in 2018 and now in 2024. They did an expansion since my first visit and it's even better now. Admission is free for self-guided tours, but donations are appreciated. We opted for the public guided tour, which costs $20 per person. Purchasing the tickets for the public tour was easy online. The tour is approximately 1 hour and our tour guide was fantastic. She provided detailed information about the different sea turtles, history of the center, and specifics about the turtle patients in the outdoor tanks. The facility is state of the art, including an on-site turtle hospital, where you can watch the turtles receiving care through a window. The gift shop is hands down the nicest gift shop I've ever visited. They carry quality merchandise, including home decor, apparel, gifts, greeting cards, and so much more. We didn't eat at the Tortuga Cafe, but the menu had sandwiches, hot dogs, and other snacks. The entire facility is spotless. Parking was tough. We had to circle for a few minutes and wait for people to leave in order to get a parking spot. The volunteers were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend visiting Loggerhead if you're in the area.

The highlight of my vacation! On our last day in FL, my husband and I decided to take a visit here. It is actually completely free to visit, view the aquariums and the turtle tanks. We chose to purchase tickets for a guided tour which was totally worth it. The guide taught us a lot about the mission and work of the center and provided a-lot of background on the turtles and their rehabilitation process. If we're ever in the area again, I'll definitely be sure to visit again.

Nice facility and free to visit. Friendly staff. I love what this facility does. Although unfortunate for the turtles, it was nice to see them well taken care of and rehabilitated. My favorite part was getting to see the little babies swimming around. The beach is just a short walk behind the facility. I highly recommend stopping in and checking it out.

Such a cool experience to see these turtles being rehabilitated so their journey can continue. I asked the staff lots of questions and they were all so genuinely interested in talking about each one. I love to see the caring environment surrounding a great cause.

What a lovely place to visit! Some friends and I visited two times in the past month and boy this place has greatly improved. All of the new construction is complete. They have added some new turtle tanks as well as an area to view jellyfish and even seahorses! The hospital viewing area is also a great addition! Tickets are free and downloadable from the website. I highly recommend stopping in and checking it out if you have friends in town or even just a lazy day!

FREE. They have turtles, sharks, fish, jelly fish and sea horses! When you walk in you can stop at the front desk and they will give you a quick overview. As you walk through the doors, you see individual pools for the turtles. They have volunteers who can tell you about each turtles rehabilitation story. When we went there were 3 total. Make sure you go inside to see the jelly fish and sea horses. There is also a great gift shop! Parking - ample free parking. We ended up in a lot just a short walk from the entrance.

Very educational baby turtle release program. Wasn't prepared for the slide show first but it was helpful to learn more about the sea turtle protection efforts. All attendees were provided with night viewing scope so you could see the baby turtles as they made their way into the ocean. Great knowledge of volunteers and staff. Bucket list item!

This wildlife center is absolutely spectacular for an evening activity. The staff were full of fun facts, and interactive not only was it a beautiful site, but absolutely amazing to see this animals taken care of. I value their work, and the facility clearly represented the centers philosophy. The service was very attentive to any request and had all hands on deck. I really valued this pit stop before heading to the beach. I felt valued walking through the front doors by a respectful young gal who welcomed us.

We attended a hatchling event, and my grandson thoroughly enjoyed the time that was spent listening to the book that was being read and meeting Pip. We arrived late, but we're given an escort to the meeting area by a volunteer who was very very helpful. The only complaint we had was that we had to park behind the building. There is no entrance on the backside of the building for us to enter. We were forced to walk all the way around to the front, which is quite a long walk for those of us, with handicap or limited mobility.

Very cool place! Unfortunately we came when they were painting/remolding but will return when complete! Loved seeing turtles and all the fish. Fun hands on experiences for kids. Lots of staff/volunteers to tell you about the turtles.

What a wonderful way to spend a few hours - viewing turtles, preciously injured or ill, that are being well-cared for and rehabilitated to be released back into the water. Friendly and knowledgeable staff welcomed us and answered our questions. We were immersed in a compelling part of nature and learned a lot. We walked through the marine center ourselves but there are also guided tours that are well worth the money. Highly recommend a visit!

10 out of 10 would recommend. First of all, it's free! They have a gift shop with everything from shirts and homegoods to turtle plushies and jewelry. They have multiple tanks with turtles that are being treated for various issues, but even if they don't have any turtles at the center, they have multiple fish tanks and tanks inside with jellyfish, seahorses and other smaller critters so you will see aquatic life whenever you visit along with learning opportunities.

We loved our tour that was about an hour long, we learned so much about what the center does for our sea turtles and wildlife on the florida coast. we got to see lots of turtles up close and personal including some of the babies that we going to be released that night! Highly recommend! Great for kids and adults alike, it's small so walking around is easy for anyone with disability or small children !

My family very much enjoyed our visit today. I care deeply about our planet, our oceans and the creatures who call them home. This year, I have grown my interest in and love for sea turtles. This center is a rescue and hospital facility for these amazing animals, and offers wonderful education via various programs, tours and terrific volunteers. I felt like I had an intimate experience with the turtles receiving care, and waiting for the day they can be released back to their ocean home. Go, and give generously to help this worthy cause.

Very entertaining and informative. Went with our 3 grandchildren, 6,4 & 3. They were excited seeing the turtles and different kinds of fish. Great attraction for the family and it's free. You could contribute to the nonprofit' organization. Besides, the have activities and games. Totally recommend.

Our visit here was a very interesting and informative. The center has facilities to help injured and ill sea turtles recover and rehabilitate. The volunteers are stationed throughout the facility and provide explanations about see turtles. They have displays that describe the life of the sea turtles. They are hatched on the beach, crawl to the water, swim away, and return 40 years later to same location to start the cycle over, They have a veterinarian staff that diagnoses and treats the turtles. There are tanks that house the turtles until they are deemed well enough to be released back into the sea. Volunteers stationed at the tanks explain the details of the turtles, how they are being treated, and their prognosis for recovery. Periodically, recovered turtles are released. Release is a celebrated event that staff and visitors can observe. Jupiter Beach is a very active turtle breeding ground. I recommend visiting this center.

I just love this place and everything they do for the turtles. They rescue injured sea turtles and nurse them back to health. Many of these beautiful creatures are found injured because of boat motors, plastic bags, plastic bottles and fishing line. The marine center provides lots of education for the public , so have learned something new each time. One of the truly coolest things ever is to see these huge creatures in their big tanks being taken care of. In a month or so the whole new construction project will become unveiled to bring an even bigger and better marine center! Once the turtles are healthy enough they are released at the beach;-)
