Logis Hôtel Beau Séjour

We ate dinner at this hotel's restaurant. Upon arrival the waiter took our coats and led us to our table which had quite a nice view. We were offered a menu and wine card. The menu itself didn't have a lot of choices but there was something for every occasion (including vegetarian). The starters were three small apperitives; a small toast with brie, a puff with escargot and a mini sandwich with cream cheese and smoked ham. For the main meal I chose the roasted piglet breast. It was perfectly seasoned and cooked. It came served with potatoes and cooked vegetables. My partner took the fish. A whole fish is a bit much but she instantly loved the taste. It was served with cooked vegetables and potatoes. For desert we shared a chocolate mousse which was served with a thin biscuit and whipped cream.

Very good place to eat with sincere service and qualitative food. If you're around and want to enjoy the regional hospitality in a typical setting near the wonderful Semois and a view on Rochehaut , I'd definitely advice to go there. It was a bit busy and just not enough personnel to follow (service was a bit slow), but that's just a detail. I would certainly go back when around.

Locatie is top, in de bocht van de Semois. Kleine warme kamer zonder airco, met een goed hard bed. Geen keuze in avondeten, voor iedereen dezelfde 3 gangenmenu, op hetzelfde moment gebracht. Plaatsen aan tafel zijn ook niet vrij te kiezen, ze worden u toegekend. Hoofdgerecht was van topkwaliteit, wat niet kon gezegd worden van voor- en nagerecht. Service was oké. Gemiddelde leeftijd van de klanten daar was 70+ en wij voelden ons als in een rusthuis en je werd ook bijna zo behandeld door het personeel. Ontbijt voldoet niet aan de tegenwoordige standaard, alle geopende etenswaren zaten ook vol vliegen. Buiten de locatie, was dit geen topervaring voor ons. Personeel is vriendelijk, maar dat voldoet niet, om een mooie belevenis te hebben.

Op een zaterdagavond een tafel geboekt voor het avondeten. Zeer mooie locatie, vriendelijke bediening. Het dagmenu was echter het enige wat s avonds aangeboden werd, en dit was toch even wennen; was niet duidelijk op de website. Menu was lekker en een zeer goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding maar het gebrek aan keuze stoorde wel een beetje. Toen we de ober aanspraken stelde hij een wel aantal alternatieven voor oa voor het nagerecht.
