"The best meal I had was at Breiz Armor, on the side of the road outside Penhors, where the chef made me a spectacular broiled lobster with cognac sauce, then sent me across the street to visit the natural history museum he’d built."

A bit tired. Most rooms have sea views and a balcony. Ours had a shared balcony overlooking the harbour. We were going to have a cold evening meal there but our neighbour lit up a cigarette on it. We moved to our friend's smaller balcony and had a pleasant evening there. The reason for us having our evening picnic at the hotel was that we had received 24 hour notice that the restaurant would be closed, leaving us little time or chance to find somewhere else on a Sunday evening. This also happened on the following evenings at two other Logis hotels.

One of the most romantic places I have ever been to, right on the coast of the ocean. The lighthouse of d'Eckmühl and Pointe Raz in the vicinity, while walking on the promenade. The hotel is a lovely old-fashioned one.

Helpful staff despite our poor French. Tasty food. Poor exchange rate makes this more expensive than you might expect for a 3* hotel lunch, but I won't mark down for that. Good range of choices, and main course was lovely. Desserts a little less impressive, several being essentially a couple of scoops of ice cream with a squirt of cream on top.I wonder if the fixed price menu is for the inside dining room only.

Family run hotel directly at the long beach of Penhors with endless rolling waves. Great service by a very friendly and efficient staff. Modern good-size rooms with sea view and balcony or terrace. Modern bath room. Very good WiFi. Wonderful wind-protected outdoor terrace with bar service. Breakfast buffet offers everything you want. For lunch and dinner a very nice restaurant is on site providing an outstanding cuisine with a big choice of dishes, among them very fresh seafood. Restaurant and bar prices very reasonable (perhaps even low considering the quality) . Highest recommendation for the hotel and the restaurant!!!! Personally I am sure that it will be very difficult, if not impossible to find something of comparable quality in the area around Quimper.

We stayed in the apartment in the old house “Les coquillages”, which is a dependance of the hotel. In this dependance there were 4 small apartments, 2 at the ground floor (with a small garden) and 2 at the first floor, with a small balcony. The apartment at the first floor was wonderful: clean, very comfortable, with a magnificent view on the ocean and the surf spot. Very supportive staff. Sauna and Jacuzzi can be booked and are free. The restaurant is fantastic. I absolutely recommend this structure. ||PS: Please consider that the use of the kitchen is not included in the price (just the fridge is accessible). It is locked and, if you want to use it, you have to pay 12€ extra each day.

This is a very nice, clean hotel, on the beach in a lovely location. Decent sized rooms and nice public rooms, good wifi and a little spa. It is a shame that in the French fashion there is no tea/coffee making provision in the room. What really let the place down on our visit was the service in the restaurant where for three adults it took over 2.5 hours for dinner. Apart from being incredibly slow the service was off hand and the waiter virtually threw the bread on the table (two portions for three people) and the extra when requested. Having drunk rose wine at the bar before the meal we ordered the same for the meal but the wine produced was much darker and did not taste as nice although the unhelpful waiter said it was the same. The food itself was ok but the whole experience of dinner was not as good as the, much cheaper, meal we had the Bout du Monde cafe at Point du Raz the next day.

We were expecting changes after new, reportedly experienced owners took over. Sadly all the change is for the worse. A smaller menu, smaller portions, much higher wine prices, and very poor service. The friendly and smiling waitress was largely single-handedly looking after 7 tables with 23 diners in the restaurant. It took over 2 1/4 hours for two courses, 80% of it waiting time - including waiting over 15 minutes to be even acknowledged and to be given menus, at which point we weren't even asked if we'd like an aperitif. Service and attention to detail - 0/10. Food 5/10. No evidence of management or supervision.

We were very much looking forward to eating here after great reviews from our friends. We were pretty disappointed. The food was ok, we went for the seafood platter - the correct tools were not supplied by the restaurant to get all of the different items of seafood from their shells. The service was very slow having to remind the staff multiple times that we had ordered drinks, the wine was not even poured or even placed on our table, simply placed on the table next to us for us to retrieve ourselves. I wouldn't go back.
