Bed bugs. Need I say more?! I had a reservation in room 15 for June 29, 2025. I am part of a tour group, and we had many rooms reserved (around 12-15). We noticed right away that the rooms lacked cleanliness- hair on towels, mildew on the walls, stains on bedding (we have pictures of all of these)- but the utter worst was when I lifted my pillow at 10 pm to climb into bed, and I found a bed bug! Our tour guide came into my room to inspect the bed. She lifted the bottom corner and we found 2 more. My daughter and I packed up our room and went in the hallway, while we tried to find alternate arrangements. Unfortunately there were no staff in the building at this time, and no one answered the phone. We had to move to another hotel- not an easy thing to do at midnight on a Sunday! It was scary that the lower level doors were locked, so I felt trapped inside, and one of our group leaders was also locked outside (even with the code). One other room from our group was found to have multiple bed bugs. Half of our group (around 15 people) changed hotels last night because of the gross state of their rooms. This was the worse hotel experience of my life, and it seems like a widespread problem in this hotel. I’d give 0 stars if I could. (Update after reading the hotel’s reply: my daughter and I did not open the window in our room, and the idea that we found gnats in our room is absurd. There was a dead bedbug under my pillow and two more under my mattress, as I showed in pictures. This is a result of your poor cleaning practices. Also, you mentioned that we should have asked housekeeping to fix it- as I said, there were literally no hotel staff when I discovered this problem at 10 pm, not even front desk staff.)
