I was recently touring the Pyrenees with a friend on our motorcycles and we stayed for a nignt at this hotel. It had been a very wet day riding in the mountains so when we arrived we were delighted when madame whisked away our wet clothes and boots to dry overnight.|Although the hotel is quite dated it is clean and comfortable.|Dinner was excellent as was the bar. It was nice the next morning having brfeakfast to find so many locals using he bar.|We will certainly stay here again if we are in the area.

We had dinner here with another couple on a Sunday night. Small restaurant in a small family run Logis hotel in a small country town but so welcoming. Menu was mainly local dishes, but also good omelettes and salads. We were all able to choose something to suit and everything was well cooked and presented. We agreed we had made a great choice and would definitely return if this way again. A traditional French restaurant - wish there were more like that these days!

Management could not be more helpful. Room, restaurant - perfect. Secure garage for bicycles. It is well located in the village and the region. I would definitely recommend this hotel wether for a long or shot stay.

This hotel is one of the Logis Group of Hotels and is very nicely done. In an historic building right in the town square, the rooms have been very nicely updated to modern expectations with a nice shower and a small but comfortable room. The host and hostess were fantastic, the breakfast was good (8€) and the dinner was very, very good, especially given the price (14€). The town itself is off the beaten tourist track and and is truly authentic France small town. Many buildings date from the 14th century and earlier. A very scenic and peaceful place to take a stroll.

Four of us stayed in two twin rooms overnight on a motorcycle tour. Beds were comfortable and food was good. Rooms were a little tired and no air conditioning. Quite a lot of late night music from a bar down the road. Drinks were expensive but owners / staff were very friendly. Arudy is a great stop-over for the Pyrenees.

I'm a fan of Logis Hotels, so looked forward to trying H de France for evening meals. Menu looked good & varied, but we went for the limited choice set menu, which suited us fine. Although we had one outstandingly good starter each, the whole experience was let down on both of our two visits: a) soup ingredients not as stated on menu (distinct lack of bacon & pork), b) unimaginative desert (v small sponge & custard), c) 45 mins wait for our starters, & d) cold but over-cooked & burned cauliflower. We got the impression the kitchen staff couldn't cope (end of season/reduced staff maybe); a shame . . but we became big fans of Dominos Creperie over the square, a more enjoyable experience for us.

We booked this hotel via Logis, where some apparent creative photography gave the impression that this was a bright airy hotel. ||We found though a rather dated tired hotel.||As for the hosts, 'madam' was very helpful come dinner for example writing down translation for us. 'Monsieur' appeared as dated and tired as the reception desk he sat behind.||Booked as demi pension, the dinner was of local cuisine and very nice. The breakfast was more than satisfactory.||The hotel had free parking around the corner. Beware though as this was where they walked the dogs and plenty of piles of dog poo was found.

this was our first stopover in France after 2 glorious weeks motorcycling in Spain and we we couldn't have had a worse reality check and welcome. Having booked in advance and ridden our motorbikes all day we arrived at the hotel at 16:30 on a Sunday in this sleepy town only to find out that the hotel would open at 18:00. I phoned the number of the door and i was curtly told that the small print on our booking was clear and that the doors would only open at 18:00. The woman on the phone said that she was shopping for her kids in a nearby town and that she was unable to be there earlier. And indeed, she arrived at 17:55 and opened the doors at 18:00 on the dot. In total, there were 6 people waiting for her. A strange way to run a hotel. On top of that, she was rude, made bad jokes and made no effort to be in any way friendly or helpful. The room was grim and sparse, not the kind of place you want to hang around. In retrospect, yes we should have seen the small (tiny) print on our booking but I have never experienced such unpleasant attitude towards customers. Avoid Arudy and avoid Hotel de France.
