Logis Hôtel de la Tête Noire

We visited the hotel in august and made the resevation by creditcard.||at the day we left we payed at the desk with our bank account. I asked to be sure, that our credicard would not be charged. They said that would not happen.||But the creditcard was also charged. so we payed 2 times.||When i found out two weeks later, i telefoned the hotel about it. They were gonna look into it.||I called again two weeks later they asked if i could send proof which i did. ||I have called about 5/ 6 times but did not get any response. After this I asked Logis Hotel and send them the mail whith proof which they send through to the hotel .||I never got any answer from the hotel.||||I gave them 5 months to something. But nothing happened.||

A beautiful hotel in the heart of downtown with an elevator. The rooms are very spacious, clean , beautiful and comfortable with a large bathroom for Europe. Even though you are right downtown, it is very quiet in the room and we felt right at home. Patrick and his wife run this hotel and are special and caring people and are very helpful with any questions we had.||We had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel and the meals were very delicious. We started with their vegetable soup and salad and we loved them, homemade with great quality ingredients. Our fish and steak were so very good and their homemade apple pie is out of this world. Prices are very good. Breakfast is an incredible buffet with much variety.||When we return, we will stay here again. ||

Good location.Need some luck to park nearby.Good breakfast but a poor attitude to service.Only one set of towels provided for two people for ecological reasons and was told to go to reception to collect another.Not sure if the management expect guests not to shower!

Nice hotel with a perfect location right near the center of Autun. The rooms are clean, and the view of the room I had was nice (especially when it's foggy). The breakfast was good, I only felt like the bread wasn't fresh every day.

This hotel is located in the center of Autun. There is free parking available in the public lot next to the hotel. The town has some wonderful old buildings, a nice square and an impressive military academy. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and they have an elevator. The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. As others have noted the furniture was cheap looking and the walls were badly marked on the lower half where people had banged their bags against them, giving the room a worn look. Perhaps a better paint that didn't mark so easily would help. The bathroom appeared to have been recently renovated and was a good size and clean and modern. The restaurant is the real star here. The food was very good and the owner went to a lot of trouble to accommodate my husband who was not feeling well even offering to bring him something light to eat in our room. I really enjoyed my meal. They have free wifi in the rooms. This is not a luxury hotel but it offers a comfortable nights sleep and nice bathroom and great food. I would recommend staying here..

Well located in center and close to old town. Very clean rooms and comfortable. Ask for room facing city hall. Great view . Charming hotelier couple running and efficient operation. Breakfast buffet a value . Restaurant with good and well prepared dishes and a superb affordable wine list.

My second stay at this hotel and it was nicer than the first time. Clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. ||Excellent restaurant- have knocked a star off as my confit de canard was over cooked. ||Fab cheese board.

the dinner was really great (not cheap though). The breakfast was overpriced though, we have had much more voice for a much lower price. ||The rooms are basic and the parking is pot luck but it is very central to a nice town
