We booked a superior room for 4 nights. Top floor no 17. |Small, dark, stains on carpet, chipped vanity in bathroom, and the room smelt damp. Uncomfortable pillows.|All through night people banging doors. 12.30. 2,00, 4.30…..|We didn’t sleep at all, it was cold, no heating. Radiator was making banging noise all night, but no heat!!!! Noisy outside in the morning. |Next morning we said we were leaving and would pay for the one night B&B….very poor breakfast as well. |Staff said not possible, so had to pay full amount for the 4 nights. |Whenever we needed staff they were always outside smoking!!!!!|Awful hotel, probably the worst I have stayed in. We travel a lot, so know it’s not always going to be perfect. This is a long way from a 3 star hotel.

Booked this hotel because it was overlooking the river. Our room was on the top floor with river views. Unfortunately the trees are in full bloom and you could only glimpse the river. The hotel has a very modern feel to it. And was very clean and comfortable with everything thought of. We had breakfast in the morning which was disappointing for the cost. Didn't have dinner here as it was a touch expensive. The area is close to the train station. It seemed to have some undesirable people in the neighbourhood so I think a little care should be exercised. Would defiantly stay here again|

We made an overnight stay here on our way north. Arriving without a booking, we were prepared to take whatever was available, so were not too upset by the top floor room with its decidedly tired decor and it did have a pleasant view of the river.||||Town hotels are always significantly more expensive than countryside ones, however, the bill for this one came to more than twice as much as any other hotel we stayed in this year - so I would say it is overpriced. Moreover, the private parking area is limited (so you would need to arrive very early to get a space) and they charge 10 euros/night. ||||On the good side, the personnel are helpful and friendly and the restaurant food is good. On the other hand, the said restaurant is pretentious and prices are high. There is a lot of "extra" attention, in the form of amuse-bouches before your first course arrives and waiters who hover and insist on pouring out your wine for you. Fine if you like that sort of thing.||||The wine, however was a problem. Again, exceptionally high prices for what was on offer, so we ordered a half bottle of Chinon. When it came, it was extremely cold and we should have sent it back for that reason, but unfortunately, we didn't. As it gradually warmed, we found out why it had been served so cold - because of the exceedingly unpleasant flavour which emerged! I could not say with certainty that this was a deliberate ploy, but we certainly believed that it was.

Contact beforehand with the Hotelier Elisabeth was excellent and she offered us an attractive rate for our group visit. On arrival we were able to park our motorcycles in a shared private gated parking area. Our rooms were spacious clean and adequate for our stay although there was mention of one room that had a toilet in a bit of a tight space (room 21). All 14 of us were seated together in the restaurant for our first nights evening meal and the food and service were exactly what you would expect from a good logis. The Chef and staff were excellent as was Elisabeth the proprietor.

The welcome was friendly, the rooms spacious and the price was good. Would be 5* for the money bit a little noisy and no tea/coffee In the rooms. Would use again and recommend without hesitation. The bathroom was better than has been implied elsewhere in reviews.

I arrived at this hotel after making a booking through hotels.com. after travelling on a motorcycle 48 hours in the sweltering heat I was disappointed to find that the reception had no record of my reservation. The reception member of staff was very helpful but never the less we still had to wait another 20 to 30 minutes while I sorted out a couple of rooms. Of the two rooms offered one was particularly nice and one was pretty awful. The nice room had a lovely shower suite which looked like it had recently been renovated. The other room, which is located on the third floor, was not in a good state. The bathroom was particularly poor with mouldy mastic and loose tiles. ||It is worth noting the location of the hotel and if you look on Google Earth you will see that it is directly next to a station and transport hub. You need to take this into consideration as my room was facing the Transport hub and I was able to hear late night Revellers until 1 or 2 in the morning down by the bus stops and train station below.||

Stayed one night for business - no other hotel was available (normally stay in Best Western, Novotel or Ibis). I arrived there around 10pm. The reception is small but the staff are friendly. The room had a view to some back alley with tons of cable and rubbish bins but I did not go there for sight seeing either :-) The room was a bit of a bummer though. Big bathroom but not a lot in it and what was in it was a bit old fashioned with a toilet that would fill up to the top when you flushed. The room was ok - I only stayed less than 8 hours actually. The restaurant is worth checking out, it looks way better than the hotel. ||||Reception is not covered 24 hours and if you leave early you will have to slide the key through the front door (which can prove tricky at 0530 in the morning).

Visited Compiegne at short notice and this is the logis, between the station and the wonderful river Oise, navigable at this point. Typical old style hotel and attempts to renovate but inevitably bathrooms a bit old fashioned but that does not matter is all clean and tidy! The dinner was absolutely excellent.||Compiegne deserves a visit for a day or two, has links to Jean d'Arc, Lovely town centre with nice buildings; clearing with museum: Armistice in WWI and surrender in WWII (need a bike to explore the lovely forest); excellent chateau with English style garden leading to a 4Km view into the forest. Sadly also, Compiegne was the main railway junction from which Jews and others were sent to the East for extermination but this is remembered in a little museum on the railway station: 'lest we forget'. A bike ride into the forest and then down onto the river to return to town is delightful.
