I recently stayed at this 4-star hotel and had a bit of a mixed experience. The lobby is absolutely beautiful and makes a great first impression. The village is really cute and peaceful, which was lovely. Big shoutout to the lady who helped with check-in—she was super nice and welcoming.
On the downside, the hotel is quite scattered around the area. My room was outside the main building, tucked away between steep and narrow streets, which was a bit inconvenient. The room itself was dark, located in what felt like a restored basement. The bed frame is at the same level as the mattress, so sitting on the bed wasn’t the most comfortable.
There were no basic amenities or toiletries provided, which was surprising. Even though there’s a kitchen, there was no kitchenware at all, so it wasn’t really usable. Plus, the electrical system made a buzzing noise during the night, which was a bit annoying. Breakfast was super standard—don’t expect a continental buffet here; it’s just the basics like fruit, milk, bread and some yoghurt.
Overall, while there are some lovely aspects to the hotel, there are definitely areas that need improvement to live up to its 4-star rating.
