Nice hotel with an excellent restaurant in a cosy village. Sufficient private parking. Super friendly and helpful staff. Room bit tiny and overprised but restaurant very good and value for money. Food at breakfast and diner was of high quality. Overall we had a good stay and will remember this accommodation when visiting the region in future.

We were a bit put off at first by the slightly neglected exterior of the hotel but the room was fine and comfortable and the meals, breakfast and dinner, were very good. Our room (at the back) was very quiet. It’s a handy location for exploring this part of Brittany and an easy journey away from the ferry at Caen.

Comfortable hotel which appeared to have a good restaurant - which we did not use. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was well appointed. Our room was on the ground floor overlooking the road so it was noisy but the road was quiet during the night.

Set in a lovely old riverside village within a vast forest the hotel was ideal for a stop en route to the north . We found the staff to be very welcoming. Our room & ensuite were spacious & well appointed.Very clean & comfortable, a great nights sleep.|The jewel was the traditional French dinning room, serving a delicious evening meal with good choice of menu , breakfast was also good. We regretted not planning time for a longer stay in the area, will definately return..|The hotel is easy to find & parking area good ( we were traveling in a 70 year old open top car without any locks so security was important)

Too expensive for what it was, not a memorable experience. It could have left a lasting impression and desire to return…..

The room was decent, not the best room we've stayed, but adequate. However, what really stood apart, for me, was the food served in the Hotel Restaurant. It was gorgeous and delicious, a little on the expensive side, but worth every penny. While the majority of the staff and towns people had trouble with any language other than French (we tried German, Dutch, Spanish, and English) they thought ahead and made sure one server was on staff during our stay that could translate the menu and take our order in German. This was very thoughtful and we appreciated it tremendously.

Well placed in the beautiful forest of Brocéliande, with a decent car park, this is a good place to stay either on your travels or to explore the region. The room we stayed in was nicely decorated and comfortable though, unless it was left there by mistake, the soap was dispensed by an alarmingly large, industrial looking jar. I wouldn't mind paying a tiny bit extra to have a fresh, elegantly wrapped piece of soap. ||||We were welcomed correctly and the staff serving in the restaurant were helpful and charming. ||||The dining room was a little cold-looking and some of the food wasn't that great. Choose wisely though and you can have a good meal.||||The hotel is a useful stopover place for business men and a few were there on the evening that we stayed. Always a good sign...

We arrived in Paimpont looking for evidence that Merlin was around in the dark ages or beyond. The menu here and the meals which we saw being served to our fellow diners looked just great... But we were here for the formula Moules/Frites at 12€ with a beer each. I had intended to buy all the ingredients and do them Thai style but this was too good to miss. The welcome was friendly and the alfresco 'marquee' at the front of the hotel/restaurant/spa was buzzing. Rudy was given a bowl of water... I gave him a couple of mussels but he's obviously not a fan. It was a good experience. Whether you are a bon vivant looking for fine dining... or just doing a hit & run as we were, this is a good place to stop. Paimpont is a lovely place not being overly commercial but with what looks like a few good eating opportunities. The Abbey is beautiful.
