While travelling solo I came here for dinner on a Monday in November. Immediately I was greeted warmly by a very kind staff member who spoke English. It was very busy and so I was seated at the bar and he took the time to tell me the specials in English (the rest of the menu has both German and English). The woman working behind the bar also spoke English and took my order no problem, but I felt well looked after because the original staff member came by a little later to make sure my order had been taken. The schnitzel („wiener art"), while not the very best I've ever had, was tasty, as were the fries that came with it. The staff truly were the highlight of the experience, so thank you very much to them!

Creative and inventive menu - with smaller portions available for those who don’t desire the traditional huge German meal! Good beer and wine selection. The place was packed with locals. Warm and inviting atmosphere. We were grateful that the menu had English translation. Will definitely be back!

The biggest choice of Schnitzel I ever saw. Local dishes have bright taste, good texture, and don't have too much oil, which helps a lot :). We got a big salad for Schnitzel in addition. Usually there is seasonal menu, make sure to taste anything from those dishes - they are delicious! Grilled dorado - top! Just make sure to reserve a table in advance, this is a very popular place especially much booked for 17:00-20:30 in the evening

Super. Lehmann steak is incredibly delicious, and salad is equally tasty. Dish design is great. Atmosphere here is wonderful, and staff are very friendly, making for a truly pleasant and memorable meal. Highly recommend.

Very good food and service. There's also a lovely garden to sit in. We both had the schnitzel and they were huge! They have several long benches to accommodate larger parties and by the looks of it, they would probably do a good job. Highly recommended.

Classic biergarten in a slightly tucked away location near Kassel's city center. The food was quite good (jagerschnitzel nice and crispy, mushroom gravy very tasty). Their menu is rather broad and incorporates both lighter fare (salads and sandwiches) and traditional German dishes, including grilled beef and pork items. The beer choices are not extensive, but cover the range from light to dark. The service was fast and friendly, but be warned that credit cards are not accepted (like most restaurants in town). I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Kassel.
