L'oignon Givré

€18 for two people to have a slice of quiche and unlimited salad from the bar! This place is great for vegetable lovers!! Today we had a zucchini and feta quiche and a tomato and goat cheese quiche. We loved them both! I really enjoyed all the variations of vegetables on the salad bar and also loved that they had free unlimited tap water! The salads are all prepared deliciously. My favorites were the pumpkin, the quinoa, and the mushrooms (they had a great garlicky taste that paired particularly well with the quiche ☺️). Also, the man at the front is extremely nice- most everyone who eats here is French, but he took the time to explain to us the process in English. If you’re in Montpellier for lunch and you LOVE vegetables, I highly recommend this place for lunch! They’re only open between noon and 2:30, so make sure you get there before then!

A really delicious lunch at such a reasonable price. We loved this place. It has a nice relaxed atmosphere. We each had the spinach and ricotta quiche with salad from the buffet and finished it off with a chocolate brownie. We were both really full afterwards. I would definitely recommend this place.

Just like the old days - a good slice of quiche and a bottomless buffet selection of simple salads. Continues serving long after other restaurants have finished for lunch.

Super friendly staff and amazing quiche and salads

Really great idea for a quick bite at lunchtime, choice of 2 mains with a really great starter buffet. Basic but who cares... the atmosphere is very tranquille.

If you don't eat anywhere else in Montpellier find this place, such good quality food my stomach is still bulging after five hours, and my purse doesn't hate me either at 7.50 for as much as you can eat! Whatch out for the house rules though, anything you put on your plate must be eaten, quite right too! In this age of horrific food waste this place is an OASIS of soul, mille mercis!

A great lunch place that is run by a few women. For 7.50 € you get your choice of a slice of quiche (usually 2 options - one with meat, one vegetarian), salad buffet (featuring pastas and various salads - a large selection), and dessert. This place fills up quickly, so get there when they open around noon. When I studied at Montpellier University over the summer (2011) we would go there a couple times a week it was so good.

The food was delicious and staff very friendly. Both the quiches and salads were made fresh onsite the same day. I went to the restaurant to check it out in the morning after recommends from a local university student and saw the girls were beating the eggs by hands and cutting the vegetables. The salads were not just the plain lettuce salad there were over ten of them: potato salad, bean salad (with tuna), corn salad, beet, cabbage, green beans, mushroom salad.......and fabulous mumus! Each salad with different spicy and flavors! It was like grandma's home-cooking vegetables. My son is a carnival but he loved it very much! I had to went to the salad bar a second time to try all of them. None! none of them was not good. To be frankly I was reluctant to share this little gem with you being afraid it becomes too popular to get a table.You get to choose your own slice of quiche ( very fresh and delicious!) Salads and jars of cold water and dessert are self -serving. Outside seating as well (but fill up quickly). Great coffee available! I stayed in Montpellier for over two weeks and have tried dozen of restaurants and cafes this is truly the best.
