Lokal Hotel - Cape May

My family and I had such an amazing time at Lokal Cape May. We went for the Christmas tree lighting. Such a fun weekend. Lokal Hotel Cape May location was perfect. Accommodations were incredible. Easy access and great customer service via text. I highly recommend!!!

My husband and I spent Labor Day weekend at the Lokal Hotel and will definitely return. The hotel is like no other place to stay in Cape May. I've stayed at some of the old Victorian inns, rented a full house during COVID, and splurged on Congress Hall in the past. Going forward, this will be our go-to place to stay in Cape May. The owner has really thought through every need and incorporated it in the design and amenities in the rooms. We were in Room 201 which is a studio. We loved the quality of the bed linens and robes (I'll be buying some for our own home!). The coffee that you can make in your room is some of the best I've tasted. I'm very picky about liking light cream (not half and half) in my coffee. Usually when I travel, I know I'm not going to get what I have at home, but low and behold, we arrived the first day to find light cream in the fridge waiting for us! I knew then that I was in love. The location can't be beat. The beach is steps away. Beach service is provided, so all you need to bring is a book and sunscreen. If you don't want to be at the beach, the pool is nice and relaxing. There were other guests using the pool with their children when we were there. Everyone was very friendly and considerate. Some nice touches: the toilet is in its own room, the shower turns on at the far end of the shower so you don't get wet turning it on, they provide a Yeti cooler and tumblers for the pool/beach, the tv has Netflix provided. Just in our studio there were four different places for us to sit. I was nervous about the fact that there is no front desk. We have had bad experiences with such a set up in the past. Here is was no problem. Your room has everything you need, and there are additional supplies in the foyer. I don't need a house keeper changing my sheets and towels every day, so preferred the privacy we enjoyed rather than having someone coming into our room every day to clean. Honestly, I wouldn't change a thing.

A wonderful hotel to stay at! The rooms were very spacious, tastefully decorated, and conveniently located near all the main attractions. Highly recommend and will come back. Staff was also very responsive and super helpful. Thank you for having us

love this hotel! we had previously stayed at the old city lokal and were excited to check this one out. it’s in a great location which meant we were able to see a lot and get to the beach easily. it was super easy to get chairs/umbrellas at the beach as well, courtesy of the hotel. the room itself had great ac (we were there during the heat wave so v important!) and everything we could need. we loved having the yeti cooler and tumblers for the pool/beach. the pool itself is amazing too, i was curious how busy it would get but it was always very chill and they have a great ice machine out there too for drinks. would love to come back again!!!

Lokal Cape May is everything you’d expect from a vacation rental. Our 1 bedroom suite was spacious, nicely designed, and extremely comfortable. The staff go out of their way to accommodate. The location couldn’t be better - literally across the street from the beach and a few blocks from the Washington Mall. We’d love to stay at Lokal again.

Lokal has thought of everything one could want or need during their stay. You could show up with nothing and be just fine. We have spent many summer long weekends at Lokal, it remains the best! It would be easy to call out the obvious amenities that make this place amazing like the salt water pool or personalized coffee offerings but for us it’s less obvious like beach toys for kids, beyond comfortable beds, and extremely clean rooms!

One block from the beach, complimentary beach badges and chair/umbrella service, a pool, good ice, thoughtful and modern decor. This place is perfect. Courtney was very responsive for our extra requests, like helping us ahead of our check in to stow perishables and grab towels and badges for the beach. Parachute bedding and towels, comfy beds. We wanted to stay another night, but (not surprisingly) all rooms were booked up. This is the place to stay in Cape May! I doubt anywhere else compares honestly.

The Lokal is a fantastic boutique hotel option within easy walking distance of the beach. The hotel offers beach chair service in season and a heated pool that's open even in the offseason, which was a great surprise. There's no front desk -- everything is handled by text -- but the staff was quick to respond and very helpful throughout our stay, even though we didn't have any issues. Our room (201) was large, clean, and nicely designed, with a full (albeit abbreviateD) kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, and plenty of space to hang out. The balcony had a beautiful view of the sunset and was one of our favorite parts of the stay. One parking space is included and it's a very easy walk to either the beach or town for shopping or food. It's probably (definitely) on the higher end price-wise during the summer, but for a fall weekend, it was ideal: quiet, comfortable, and close to everything.

This hotel is one of the best places I have ever stayed! It is a great getaway for a couple who wants a clean, modern and cozy vibe. All of the amenities are great! You feel right at home! The rooms all have fun names and the free parking is also a perk. The rooms are large and modern. The decor is wonderful. They have a full kitchen, dishwasher, fridge and little oven. Each floor also has a washer and dryer that can be used for free. The porch has wonderful walking chairs. I also enjoyed the workout mats in room to continue exercise away from home. The heated salt water pool even in early May felt so nice. Wonderful relaxing atmosphere. The fire pits were also relaxing and easy to use. Lokal is steps away from the beach which is fantastic. Would love to visit during peak season to use the provided beach tags and service available. It is also close to many bars and restaurants that are walkable. We really enjoyed our stay here for the perfect Mom and Dad getaway!

What a delightful place to stay! The Gigglemug studio has a wonderful balcony that you can listen to the ocean from and huge windows that allow the sunlight in. Honestly, I could live in a small studio like this; it was super comfortable and convenient. It's a quick walk to shops and stores, but I could have stayed curled up on the couch with a book for my entire stay.

Just got back from our 4th stay and it's still our favorite vacation spot. The convenience and aesthetics can't be beat. Lokal cape may is a nice getaway for an adult only stint just as much as a family friendly vacation- we've done both twice! Our toddlers absolutely love the "rainbow steps" in June and we make it a point to book in June for that reason. It's a splurge but worth it. We don't have to worry about lugging beach chairs and umbrellas to the beach- the beachside service is a lifesaver! When the kids get bored we head to the saltwater pool. They loved playing cornhole too. The local food options nearby are great, don't sleep on the tacos at el Pueblo right down the street. Grab a lobster roll at Quincy's too!

Found roaches in my bed. Not acceptable and needs to be dealt with. Employees were rude and not helpful at all.

I celebrated my son's 20th birthday here and just wow...the owners thought about everything. We took advantage of the heated pool during some unexpected cool weather, we grilled and I made a full breakfast. I think I had the best sleep ever in my super comfortable bed. My family and I were so happy with our stay, we can't wait to go back.

My boyfriend & I had the perfect escape from Philly here. It feels secluded yet close to not miss out on anything in Cape May. Perfect place to relax, hang in the pool, cook some great meals together and enjoy quality time. We really appreciated all the unique and thoughtful touches like asking how we take our coffee ahead of time. 10/10 recommend!
