I loved this restaurant so much I went twice in my very short stay in Prague. They were very accommodating, there was a sudden heavy rain and they worked fast to ensure everyone in the terrace could keep eating inside. It was my very first time eating traditional food and it was so good. The bread dumplings and the sauces were incredible, makes me not want to pay attention to the meat even (although it was perfect too!). Prices are very affordable. However, I was left a bit confused because the bill says service is not included, but as someone without CZK in cash, I didn't know how to tip. I would have loved doing so, as they deserved every bit of it! Please make sure you find a way to tip even for people paying by card! I hope to come back again one day.

After visiting the incredibly beautiful Prague Zoo and the stunning autumn park nearby, we decided to stop here before heading to the planetarium with our 7-year-old — and it was the perfect ending to a perfect day. We ordered several dishes, and everything was simply excellent. The pork tenderloin medallions with sauce and roasted potatoes — oh my, that was something special! So tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Even our child couldn’t stop eating. The salad with smoked duck, apples, nuts, and honey-mustard dressing was another amazing surprise — such a perfect combination of sweet and savory! We also tried the tripe soup — it wasn’t really our child’s favorite, but I personally liked it; quite a strong, traditional Czech flavor. The Talián sausage with grated horseradish and mustard was fantastic — rich, spicy, full of character. And the beef roll with bacon, egg, and rice was nice and hearty, though the flavor was more subtle — still a very honest, home-style dish. The service deserves a special mention — polite, attentive, and genuinely friendly. After every course, our waiter came to check if everything was fine. At the end, he even went through the bill with us, explaining everything in English (since we don’t speak Czech) — which we really appreciated. Some reviews online mention bad service — honestly, that’s nonsense. It all depends on your attitude. We had only positive emotions here, from start to finish. Highly recommended for families and anyone who wants to experience authentic Czech food in a cozy, welcoming place.

First of all, the service is very professional and kind, such a pleasure! This is one of my favorite spots in Letná, perfectly located near Stromovka Park. They serve delicious Czech cuisine paired with great-quality beer. A cozy place with a local feel that keeps me coming back. Highly recommended!

My partner and I dined at Lokál on our first night in Prague. Quite honestly, I can definitely say Lokál offers great value for money and an authentic pub type of experience. Restaurant is full of locals which says a lot about how this restaurant is trusted even by Prague locals. Highly recommended.

Nice place to eat local Czech food and to drink good beers. Suitable for both families with children and social gatherings. Beautiful and well-designed place. Even the bathrooms! The waiters are very helpful and nice and even bring coloring pages for the children. Located right above the stunning park

Lokál at other locations is good that’s why I’m surprised that this location was quite awful. The duck I received was clearly some reheated from days before with very stale dumplings.

i know we should have drunk more beers 😆 but honestly our aim was food, and for both i recommend the place a lot! you can see locals but also tourists as it's a great place for tasty czech food. as you can see i didn't manage pictures before things were getting eaten. the tartar with fried bread is great and the sauce for the braised pork also a real delight! just a small note to maybe explain the type of dumplings accompanied the dish in the english menu but if you ask the staff they will for sure explain (the menu just says dumplings). other than that - great atmosphere - the staff was very kind to look for a table for us (was full) so we decided to stay on the side with great beer they have and no more than 20 mins we had it. if you don't wanna wait i recommend coming later hours like 8pm. the staff is very polite and english speaking. recommended!

A typical Czech pub from the Lokal/Ambiente group. If you want to try typical Czech meals and taste great beer accompanied by a genuine atmosphere that was typical for Czech pubs a few decades ago this is a place to go. Don't experience anything posh - that's not why people come here

We came here on an extremely rainy day and had a great meal. In addition to the food, we had ginger tea to help us warm up from being rained on, which was pieces of ginger steaming in hot water, with honey and other accompaniments as well as chicken soup - all needed before we could start our real meal. We came for the Svíčková (roast sirloin in gravy with bread dumplings and cranberry sauce) which was incredible. The meat was so tender and delicious, and the dumplings and sauce complemented it perfectly. After the Svíčková, we saw a majority of the people around were having Smažený Sýr, and decided we needed to try it if it was that popular - we later learned it's their specialty. It is a fried block of cheese (for the Americans, we likened it to a large mozzarella stick) and was delicious. It also came with a tartar-like sauce which was surprisingly great with it. Everything we had here was delicious, definitely recommend - and would recommend the items we had.

This group of restaurants was recommended by our driver as a great place to get authentic Czech dishes--and it did not disappoint. The pork tenderloin skewers were tender and tasty, and the pork chops were great. I had doubts about my daughter's fried cheese, but she said it was flavorful and fit her vegetarian needs. Fast service and great prices!

Within my three weeks of dining in this area, Lokál served me one of my top three favorite meals ever!!! It was so simple yet so incredible. I ordered the chicken with pan sauce and potatoes and have been dreaming of it ever since. If I could eat this every day, I'd be the happiest person in the world. I also enjoyed the cucumber salad. When I return to Prague, I will be running here for their chicken!!!

This bar is long and a good place to meet people and get things started with some beers and nosh. Cool place with good vibes and staff.

Oblíbená cílová destinace po domácích zápasech Železné Sparty! Pivo bezkonkurenční. Jídlo je ok, ale cenově trošku přepálený. Nedávno jsem ozkoušel i obědové menu a bylo to poctivý a dobrý. Obsluha je vždy milá a profesionální - většina podobných podniků se má co učit!

Always gr8 service, beer from tank, food and location. Price level is just fine. I can highly recommend this traditional Czech restaurant as well as the others ( Hamburk, U bílé kuželky ).

Another success from the Lokal chain, with incredible beer and food. The service here is probably the best of all the Lokal branches, but the place is almost impossible to get a table at, even in the middle of the week. Otherwise, I'd say this is the best of the bunch (not just because I live nearby.) It is striking that the folks at Ambiente have managed to do something many of us long-time Prague residents thought impossible - get consistently good product out to the public. While many old Prague stand-bys waver and fall in quality, the Lokal group continues to pump out excellent stuff.
