Established in 1995, Lokoya is a collection of four distinct Cabernet Sauvignons from four of Napa Valley’s most celebrated mountain appellations: Mount Veeder, Howell Mountain, Spring Mountain District, and Diamond Mountain District. These limited-production wines are 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, fermented with native yeast, and bottled unfined and unfiltered, resulting in the purest expression of place. The Lokoya Estate is nestled atop Spring Mountain, 2,100 feet above the valley floor, and boasts stunning views of the Napa Valley. Upon arrival, our guests are led through an unforgettable tasting experience from one of our knowledgeable and dedicated estate hosts. We visited Loyoya winery and had a great time hosted by Anne, she made it entertaining and fun. The property is modern with stunning views. We enjoyed this visit a lot. The problem began when 2 days later, in the middle of our trip to California, I got tracking information but we were driving to Yosemite National Park to stay for the last few days of our trip so no one was going to be available to receive the packages. Additionally they shipped out double of what we ordered, our intention was to get a bottle each of the 4 single vineyard plus 2 La Jota Chardonnay and they sent 8+4. When we got home a week later the wine got lost, and getting the corrected (4 Cabernet and 2 Chardonnays) replacement is taking over 3 weeks. My patience has run out, I don’t want anything from Lokoya at this point in time. Very disappointing with the shipping department and customer service.

First time at this winery...what an amazing view and beautiful facility. Our host Josh was great and took his time as we went through the tasting.

This is a stunning winery way up a winding road in Spring Mountain and extremely exclusive. You need a gate code to enter and upon arrival it's jaw dropping beautiful with expansive views of the valley below. The wines are another level. We had an unforgettable tasting with Johnna and the food pairing that went with it was impeccably curated and delicious. All the wines were exceptional. We had a hard time picking a favorite! Their wines are all highly allocated from single vineyard prized mountaintop appellations. We bought some wine to lay down for years to come and can't wait to open them and relive our Lokoya experience. We are already looking forward to our next visit here at this hidden paradise in Napa. Thank you again for a truly memorable experience.

When you come from Europe, an area 5 hours drive from Tuscuny, you have no idea what to expect in USA winery. Lokoya is amazing! Wines are spectacular, the building itself is wonderful, I cannot decide if exterior or interior made bigger impression. Hoever, Marcel is the true jewel of the estate. Thank you for such a great expirience.

Yelp
Lokoya offers an amazing experience from start to finish. You can expect a beautifully scenic drive on your way up to the winery with natural roads to navigate. Once you arrive, the views are simply breathtaking. We were hosted by Wilson who welcomed us with some bubbles followed by the walk through their space, their bottle room, the terrace, and then finally where our tasting would take place. The terrace offers stunning views of the vines and mountainsides while inside shows off the recreation of repurposing local materials. I loved hearing the inspiration of Lokoya and how each Cab comes from a different mountain/soil type. When it came to tasting, one came truly taste a difference. Our tasting included an introductory white followed by 4 of the Cabs. Each wine was paired with a small bite curated as a chef collaboration. At the end, Wilson poured us a 2005 Mount Veeder Cab to enjoy how aging the wine changes the profile. We thoroughly enjoyed our tasting experience with Wilson but also the personal conversation. I highly recommend coming out to Lokoya to enjoy everything they have to offer.

Yelp
I went here with some friends and had an amazing experience. The ambience and beauty of this estate was amazing. Everything is first class from the moment you are warmly greeted by the wine expert. Every detail is overseen with a sense of pride from the displays and amazing views throughout the venue and balcony. This is truly on a mountain top which specializes in mountain fruit wine. The wine is amazing from all four mountain tops. This is a must experience for any serious wine connoisseur.

Yelp
Lokoya is one of our favorite wineries. This is big bold Cabernets ! The tasting room is wonderful. The views are amazing. The hosts are always fantastic. Here, you can't go wrong with any of their mountain Cabernets, but we especially like this spring Mountain or Veeder. Once they let you in and you drive up you'll be parking close by and be greeted by your host. You'll a splash of their white wine and you'll get escorted into the wine tasting room where you'll find a tasting menu with your name on it. Release party's are awesome here. It is a very comfortable and very classy experience. The wine sells itself. You can also taste Lokoya at Cardinale. Big wine, Great structure. Well balanced. My top 10 wineries.

Yelp
To be fair, it was a challenge getting a reservation here. Communication required two of us to make this happen. But once we got here it was all systems go! This place is beautiful! It's stunning! It's designed for serious wine collectors! $300.00 a bottle? Guess again! Try $400.00 and up. The wine punches at heavy-weight class with Cabs from Diamond Mountain, Mt. Veeder, Howell Mountain, and Spring Mountain. And if that wasn't enough they open Cardinal wines too. The sticker shock is meant to weed out those who like come looking for cheap wines at affordable prices. The tasting menu showcases the wines brilliantly. And at $150 just to taste, let the buyer beware. This is not your typical club nor typical allocation. But the wines are beautiful, they're big, and if you have the fortitude will lay down for a decade or two providing an exquisite beverage if you drink it or a sizable return on investment if you sell it. The winemaker, Chris Carpenter has outdone himself, here and even if you're not a serious collector, this place is a worth-while experience. Just know that it may take a few times to get a reservation!

Yelp
I almost don't want to review so that it doesn't get too popular here, but the wine is $300 a bottle so I'm probably safe. This is the most delicious cab that you'll have up in Napa. We LOVE Spring Mountain wines and this one is easily at the top of the list for us. The tasting experience is beautiful as the interior of their tasting room is newly renovated and all Restoration Hardware inspired. Food pairings taste like a top rated chef made them and are perfect for the big wines they serve. Ask for Jose, he's a great guy and will make your experience unforgettable!

Yelp
Honestly the best of the best! Since we frequent Cardinale often and have spent a good chunk of money there as well, we were able to visit this gem of a winery. Alex took care of us there, which was a breath of fresh air as he always helps us down at Cardinale and he's always so accommodating and knowledgeable and knows exactly what our palates are. This is a far drive up Spring Mountain, but it is worth it! Now let me forewarn you this is not a winery that you can just drive up to and do a general tasting, you will need to check in advance if there are appointments and how you can get in. Sadly the only two times we've gone it has been pouring down rain, but nonetheless it did not take away from our experience. They start you off with Ruinart Champagne and a walk around the inside. The winery itself there is so much to see and enjoy and take in, then there's the view outside of the valley and mountains, it's just gorgeous! Then you get to their stunning cabs, all mountain fruit and you get to see where cardinale gets their inspirations from one mountain at a time! It's hard to say which of them is my favorite because I have to say every time they taste a bit different. This last time Mount Veder and Howell were tasting so good (but I'll be honest, Howell mountain has never tasted bad) The first time we were there we picked up the Spring mountain. It's not hard to see why Cardinale uses these great fruits, each fruit on it's own is decadent, then you blend them and you have something special. All we need now is the 2014 Diamond and our 2014 set will be complete. If your pocket book can afford the wines, do yourself a favor and try it!

Yelp
Little bit of a drive up Spring Mountain but a beautiful drive. The entrance looks like a miniature castle. Brian Baker was our host. Wonderful experience. He took us to the vineyards were we saw the villa and the gorgeous view. We visited this last weekend so the vines are full of fruit. Beautiful. Back at the incredible tasting room we tried 3 mountain wines. All different as they should be since they are from different mountains (Diamond, Howell, Veeder). Flavorful cabs....I think my favorite may have been the Diamond Mountain Cab. Pricey wines but a nice splurge for something special. They need to lay down for a bit but will be something to look forward to. Brian did a great job. Turns out he came from SoCal so we hit it off right away.
