Lol et Lola Hotel

I had a very unpleasant experience with this property. Despite informing the hotel in advance that I would arrive late, they never sent me the entrance door code. When I finally managed to get inside, the room assigned to me had not been cleaned after the previous guest which was both unhygienic and unacceptable. Instead of resolving the issue on-site, they moved me to a different room in another hotel. It was already late, and I had no choice but to accept the arrangement. I was exhausted and had no say in the matter. When I requested a reimbursement for that night, the hotel refused, claiming they had “already provided another room.”—as if the inconvenience, lack of communication, and disruption to my plans didn’t matter. Adding to the frustration, housekeeping staff entered my room every morning despite the “Do Not Disturb” sign being displayed, showing complete disregard for privacy. Overall, the experience was chaotic, poorly managed, and far below the standards one should expect from a hospitality service.

We loved this hotel, cool, quirky, great location, friendly staff and the most amazing breakfast! It was a little more than some of our other stays in Transylvania but worth it, and seems priced relatively well compared to others in Cluj. ||Car parking is spacious. It’s a bit tight to get in but once you’re in, it’s fine. |You have to go off a main busy road down an alley next to the bank. Check out my pics if unsure. |Very safe area and within 10 mins walk you are in the centre of everything yet it’s very quiet. ||We stayed in the global traveller room, loved it. It’s worth messaging the hotel to put you in a specific room. We loved the balcony and sink. One thing that wasn’t great is that the shower and toilet are behind a door but in the same room so you can hear the person you are staying with on the toilet. Just be mindful of this! |Rooms come with coffee making facilities and lots of plugs. Not lots of space so consider that is you have a lot of luggage. ||Staff were always friendly and attentive. |Breakfast was incredible, I mean you have like a 3 course meal. Everything was fresh and healthy. There were lots of cakes too and even had a hazelnut chocolate pump!

A friendly welcome greets you at this hotel. We were able to check in early and our room was the movie themed room. Great individuality. Room clean and bed comfy. Kettle and safe provided with an option to get an ironing board from reception if needed.||Good quality shower with complimentary shower gel. ||Air con worked well in the room.||Breakfast was of a good standard with a varied selection and the coffee was very good too! ||Staff very friendly and helpful. We asked for directions to the salt mines and the lady helped with bus timetables and locations||Would definitely stay here again 👍

This hotel holds up to its reputation. The staff was extremely friendly and nice, the rooms were unique and clean, and the free breakfast was included with a large variety (including vegetarian options). The location was great. Everything we wanted to do was in walking distance.

Compared to all the excellent reviews, our stay was average (which was disappointing since expectations were high). Our rooms on the top floor were dark and the colourful interior the hotel has in its advertisements was nowhere to be seen. The room was clean upon arrival but I enclose a photo of how our bed had been made by the cleaner on day 2. Staff were polite but not overly friendly.||If you arrive by car drive VERY carefully as the driveway is so narrow you literally have 10cm margin on either side.

First off, I like to start off by saying it is a funny and very clean hotel. Also, I didn’t think that it was possible to have a service like this in Romania. I've been in many hotels, but this was by far the best service I have been given. It is clear that it is possible even in Romania to receive great service, but I bet they have been outside Romania and saw that it counts to be customer-oriented. The key to success is to pay attention to your customers’ needs and they have done exactly that. They have done an outstanding service. I wish people would follow their example. |Thank you again for being different than the rest of the hotels that we have been visiting in Romania. Great job and keep up the good work.|

We had a great stay at this venue. The service was fast and friendly. Staff were very helpful and keen. The room is comfortable. It is a little tricky getting to the hotel as your GPS will take you down some odd streets, but once in, there is ample parking. Good location to explore the town. I would stay here again.
