Inspired by rave reviews on Google, we embarked on a mission to discover the island's finest bloody Marys. Our curiosity led us to Lola Valentina, and we were thrilled to find a truly exceptional blend that left us craving more. The welcoming atmosphere and delectable food made for a truly unforgettable experience. To fully soak up the charm, I highly recommend dining at the outdoor tables, where the beautiful ambiance truly shines.

Google
Best empanadas of my life and they are gluten free! The Caribbean Benedict was also insane. Was recommended by a chef so I knew it was going to be good but wow, unreal. I’ve already come back twice! And all things considered fairly priced here on the island.

I have been to Lola to eat multiple times over the last couple of years. Always delicious with great service. The decor is very cute and intimate but the space is big enough for large groups. Breakfast- the yogurt bowl, green smoothie, coffee, juice, and breakfast burrito were all fantastic. Dinner - Mexican fondue, Japanese bowl with Tuna, Lola's grill filet, and Poblano fish were all top notch and delicious. The mashed potatoes and veggies that came with the grill item were amazing. I highly recommend this place.

If you’re ever in this part of Mexico, you have to check out this place! They had the some of the best drinks I’ve had in a long time. I tired 5 different drinks on the menu and each was better than the next. The food was also very good. I tired every taco they had on the menu and they were all great. The server Angel, was a great host. Apple English very well. Explained everything on the menu. Gave me run information about the island and shops. Honestly 10/10 dude.

Highly recommend! This was the first restaurant where my friend and I had dinner in Isla Mujeres. We absolutely loved our experience. The atmosphere was cozy, the staff members were friendly and efficient, and the food was delicious. Luis, the manager, ensured that we enjoyed our experience thoroughly. We got there during happy hour, so we were able to get a 2-for-1 deal with the margaritas. We tried the hibiscus flower + elderberry and mango + hibiscus margaritas. They were very tasty and fresh. We shared the Caribbean Tomatoes (vegan) which had guacamole and pico de gallo on top of fried plantains. I had the vegan coconut curry bowl and I loved it!

Google
I originally wasn't too thrilled with the menu, but after trying...it was the best meal we've had. The food was fresh and well prepared. We had hibiscus empanadas and the tostones for app. Drinks... many drinks that were a 10/10! Main dishes were flavorful. Great service.

Had an excellent meal here. The manager Angel was fantastic to work with, spike perfect English also. He worked with our need to have GF options. Highly recommend this spot while visiting Isla Mujeres.

Google
5 stars all the way. Friendly and respectful staff, great atmosphere, and delicious food. I personally enjoyed their Risotto con Camarones. Creamy, great taste, with lots of shrimp! Our group favourite was Arrachera grill. The steak was so flavourful, cooked perfectly. We’d definitely love to come back.

Yelp
Our waiter remembered us from a previous day. We were a bit late for breakfast but there wasn't even a hesitation that they would make anything on the menu for us. My sister in law and I each ordered different things. She ordered a Eggs Benedict BLT and I had the açaí bowl Our mimosas were delivered quickly hers being orange and mine watermelon Food can out fast and was absolutely divine. The live music was an added bonus and the pianist was very talented Nice atmosphere and a cool breeze an added bonus

Yelp
As a matter of fact, this was a random panic pick for brunch and it turned out to be one of my favorite restaurants that our group went to this trip. On the surface, Lola Valentina seemed like the super trendy, neon-lit Instagram-reel places that I normally avoid like the plague, complete with rope swings at the bar counter. Not to mention its location on one of the side streets in Centro that remind me of Little Italy where you have (mostly) men trying to pull you into their restaurant. Anyway - here were my favorites: 1. The hibiscus mango virgin margarita. Absolutely delicious. With alcohol, these would be deadly. (That said, the avocado smoothie that my friend ordered was terrible, essentially guacamole in smoothie form, with no sugar to speak of. Some honey or medjool dates added would've been heavenly.) 2. The fish tacos. If I come back to Isla Mujeres, I'd do an island fish taco-hopping tour. The version here was breaded, with a fantastic sweet dipping sauce. The only thing missing is the guac that they used with the chicken tacos. Really sizable portion. Chicken tacos were a close second, especially with both the guac and the peanut dressing. 3. Coconut shrimp. We had coconut shrimp at another place the night before and these blew those out of the water. Massive, with a decent amount of shrimp under the breading, and came with the most delectable rice that I could've eaten on my own. Our waiter (Manuel) was super friendly; food and drinks came out promptly. Despite the "cash only" sign on their menu, they accept everything.

Yelp
CROWD PLEASER: Consistently one of the busiest restaurants on the island and for good reason. Their cocktails are truly standout--creative, balanced, and consistently excellent. I tried the Passion Fruit & Chipotle Margarita, which had the perfect mix of smoky and tangy flavors, and it was beautifully presented. For food, I had the seafood nachos, loaded with fresh, flavorful toppings like shrimp and creamy cheese, and the combination was absolutely delicious. Lola Valentina delivers consistently well-executed dishes with bold yet refined flavors. Whether you're stopping in for a drink or a full meal, this is a must-visit spot that never disappoints. It's a place I'll definitely be returning to on every visit to the island.

Yelp
Maybe breakfast isn't their best meal, but it's unacceptable to serve bad heuvos rancheros. Looked good but taste was very, very average. Few beans, served with scrambled eggs (not asked what we wanted, sunny side up should be typical). Iced tea and fresh pineapple juice tasted like flavored water. Islander breakfast a little better but still very avarage for Mexican food ANYWHERE.

Nathanael S.

Yelp
What a great atmosphere! We got very fast service. Very friendly and attentive. The kids absolutely love the stuffed pancakes. For the adults, we loved the eggs Benedict. The only items I wouldn't get again would be the chilaquiles and the cafe mocha had a little too much chocolate syrup.

Lacy A.

Yelp
We went twice while on vacation. They have fun cocktails. Great service. Live music. And the food was pretty good. Out second time, the power went out. They were great. Great service and food.

Liz C.

Yelp
A must try spot on isla mujeres, definitely coming back !!! Everybody's food looked amazing.

Jimmy G.

Yelp
This is our go-to breakfast spot on Isla. Lots of gluten free options, including amazing GF avocado toast. A nice variety of Mexican and American-ish breakfast dishes. Large, delicious lattes. A serene, upscale island vibe with good music selections (today it's reggae, yesterday was indie soul). Our server, Manuel, is excellent!

Kameran M.

Yelp
4 People Drinks: Mango Hibiscus Margarita (frozen) Cucumber Basil Margarita (rocks) Grapefruit Mint Margarita (rocks) Fresh Squeezed Lemonade Chorizo Bombs- soft fluffy and full of cheese and chorizo: the sauce it came with was delicious as well. Enchiladas: red and green sauce (sssshhhh it's a secret to do both) Bacon wrapped shrimp and jalepeno risotto with a white wine sauce. Steak Tacos (no black beans) Every single thing was delicious! Service was fantastic . Food was fast and hot and would eat here again.

Kat O.

Yelp
Food, service, everything is amazing. We just went for our 3rd time. As a vegetarian it is HARD to find something that is amazing. So many are just like-soggy broccoli, zucchini, carrot mixtures shoved into some sort of shell. Their cauliflower tacos are outstanding- and I'm the only vegetarian- everyone else also loves it!!! It's also super nice inside, bathrooms are clean, it's all around a great experience

Varun V.

Yelp
Great ambience, location and delicious brunch. We came here 3/3 times for brunch during our stay at Isla. Their breakfast burrito with soy option, stuffed Nutella pancakes and avacado toast are delicious. They also had nice relaxing piano music the first time we went. Luis, Karen, Julian and Manuel took great care of us and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great meal. They even got us to try their spicy harbenaro sauce which was hot but amazingly flavorful and delicious. Highly recommend!

John S.

Yelp
Amazing food great cost too. Dinner was so good we came back for brunch the next day. By far the best food on the island.

Rebecca H.

Yelp
We stopped in to grab a drink after meeting with our wedding planner on the island. This place is located on a busy street chock full of restaurants so you can really take your pick. The decor is unique, a little rebellious, and inviting. They were having a 2 for 1 margarita special and we were both going to order margaritas anyway (when in Rome) so we decided on the watermelon jalapeno. The drinks were visually pleasing as well as pleasing on the palate. I transitioned to a michelada afterwards which was also quite enjoyable. There was enough alcohol in both of those beverages that I had to pee twice while in the restaurant and very soon after leaving. Is there a better gauge? The staff members with whom we interacted were very friendly, checked on us frequently. They also provided some chips and salsa which was a nice touch.

Jacklyn W.

Yelp
It's good food but overpriced and touristy. I recommend going away from the north side for food in general. This place is westernized and you can get fresher and tastier seafood from the south side. Service was good though, and didn't take too long. In general if you want authentic, this is not it. Go to the south side for real good food half the price or same price but double the quantity.

Brooklyn R.

Yelp
Best sit down meal we have had. Table of 6 and even the 11 year old loved his meal. The atmosphere was perfect and the Luis did a great job waiting on us. The ambiance of sitting outside, music was just right so even as a large table we could talk and hear one another. The mixology drinks were delicious and happy hour made them 2 for 1! When we are back we will put this on our list and say hi to manager.

Jaylynn M.

Yelp
In addition to the gorgeous presentation and atmosphere the food was spectacular. The menu truly has something for everyone and it will not disappoint.

Ryan H.

Yelp
We shared the surf and turf with lobster/filet. Everything was good, I wouldn't call it great for the price. Lobster was said to be really good. Filet was a bit smaller than it claimed to be, but cooked to a proper medium that was requested, albeit seemed a little dry. Sides were good, fresh and seasoned well. The ambiance was great, live music was good. Right on the street so plenty of people watching,

Birdy L.

Yelp
Food was amazing and atmosphere awesome ..the swings are great but the bartenders are the super nice and friendly

Marisa H.

Yelp
This place was highly recommended and we had high hopes, but honestly it was just okay. It's located on a busy street and it was pretty packed. It was a cute spot and the service was friendly, but the food was mediocre and overpriced. We ordered the whole fried fish and ceviche, but it was nothing spectacular. Saw others mention they received chips and salsa, but we did not get any. Much prefer the street food that Isla has to offer!!

Vineet S.

Yelp
We stopped here for lunch with our friends during our day trip to Isla Mujeres. Greta spot, cool vibes and nice decor. We ordered a lot of different things from the menu, everything was great and super delicious. The service was good and they did mix some of our orders but the staff was very understanding of some of the dietary restrictions we had in our group. Overall a great spot away from the Main Street, well worth it for a quick bite or a full meal.

Stephanie S.

Yelp
We always eat at Lola while on vacation. The poke bowl is delicious and the crunchy spinach salad pairs perfectly. Try the mango hibiscus margaritas, my favorite! Service at the bar is always amazing.

Melissa G.

Yelp
Delicious breakfast. We ate here 2x You won't be disappointed. Loved the potatoes! Drinks were fantastic too.

Dayna G.

Yelp
Amazing food! Delicious drinks. Sexy ambiance! Chic decor. Great prices! The service was on-point.

Solei B.

Yelp
The food was delicious and it was the cutest restaurant in the best area! They had plenty of vegetarian and gluten free options as well. Angel was our server and he was the best!

Michelle K.

Yelp
Food was super amazing. Customer service was super amazing. Angel was amazing. Super chill location away from the big crowd. Margaritas sneak up on you so amazing! Only down fall was the piña colada was lacking sweetness but no biggie. They took credit card for us which I'm so thankful they did. Great spot for vegetarian and meat foods.

Sky V.

Yelp
This is one of my families favorite restaurants ever. Every dish is phenomenal and they have such a unique menu. Angel is the best waiter ever and we will be back every single time

Yelp
On our 50th Wedding Anniversary I chose Lola Valentina. The kindness of Marco, and the staff, ambiance, and food exceeded our expectations. We expected to try different restaurants every night but are now returning again. The Lola Caribbean Ceviche and Calamari are the best we have ever tried. We have had the pleasure of seeking the best of everything for decades and are grateful that we are not wishing we had gone somewhere else.

Yelp
Amazing dinning experience! Ordered the catch of the day fish in Tamarindo sauce with bed of rice over a papaya and cucumber salad. This plate was absolutely delicious and presented very nicely. Ordered couple of mixed drinks and all were refreshing and well presented and most importantly served with plenty of liquor. Tamarindo Mezcal Rita was my favorite. Our server was very friendly and cheerful making this a great dinning experience. She even complemented my good taste for meal and drink selection! Great atmosphere in with great tunes and vibrant and elegant decor all around. Great place for dinner!

Kari B.

Yelp
The food and service is absolutely amazing here. The bartenders mixed up some fun and delicious drinks.

Karina H.

Yelp
Honestly thought this place was gonna be fantastic since there's a bunch of good reviews but it was just mediocre. Service was a bit slow and food was alright. Get the tropical ceviche if you want something on the sweet end. Not sure what we were expecting by coconut shrimp, maybe some hints of coconut, but it actually had a lot of coconut flakes to it, overpowering the taste or crunch of the fried shrimp.

tembi b.

Yelp
Nice service, yummy drinks, and the food was delicious. Shrimp tacos were light and flavorful. Save room for dessert.

Brandi S.

Yelp
Food and drinks are always amazing. Awesome margaritas and great prices!!!!!! Hands down the best restaurant in the island

Delanie K.

Yelp
My Mexican friend originally thought I brought us to a tourist trap, but by the end of the meal he was giving out compliments to the chef! Our party of 4 were seated outside with a good view of people walking the little strip and the live violinist playing at Lola Valentina. Our cocktails were presented beautifully and were tasty. We ordered the ceviche, a few different tacos, and the fish special which was a grouper I believe. Everything was delicious, fresh, and we had a great evening! We loved the variety of salsas and hot sauces. Cash Only. I wish we had more time on our trip to come back and eat here again to try more of the menu!

Jen K.

Yelp
Stopped here with my husband for a late lunch on the island. Friendly service all around! We had BOGO hibiscus rosemary margaritas and they poured a healthy amount of alcohol. We had one appetizer that was guacamole over plantains fried in an oval shaped mold. The two vegetarian taco options we had (cactus and cauliflower) were also delicious.

Nathan B.

Yelp
Excellent food, drinks, and service. Angel was a great server! They also have a nice air conditioned section

Jeff K.

Yelp
Amazing lunch at this quaint restaurant near Playa del Norte on Isla Mujeres! The guacamole with apple and bacon was delicious. The calamari was incredibly fresh. Our tacos were much bigger than expected and delicious. The margaritas?!? So many to choose from and all were tasty and refreshing. When on Isla Mujeres, this is a must stop for a meal!

Renée C.

Yelp
Food, drinks and service are still fantastic! Ordered the baja fish tacos this time. They are brimming with toppings and so flavorful that you don't even need the sauces they come with. The mango sauce put them deliciously over the top. They were so good that I devoured two orders! Topped them off with one of their mezcal-ritas. *Chef's kiss*

Ron F.

Yelp
What a wonderful place, best steak I've had anywhere on Isla...this is a must for all! Also the guacamole was unique and awesome, wonderful service and the A/C room was nice after being on the water all day!!!

Jenny L.

Yelp
Loved everything about the experience! The food, the ambience, the musician playing the violin. It was a 10 out of 10!!

john f.

Yelp
We stopped by to listen to live music, swing on the bar swings and had amazing hand crafted cocktails.

Madeline A.

Yelp
Love this place, been visiting for years. Our server was very sweet, very helpful. We LOVED our dinners, cocktails & mocktails! We will be back.

Christopher S.

Yelp
A must stop when visiting Isla Mujures. Inside, outside, partially covered chose of seating. Really good service and supoer friendly waitstaff. A variety of Civeche are served. You can order the sample Ceviche platter to try three different ones. The Calamari was awesome. Salads and Tacos are great as well. They serve brakfast, lunch and dinner. Great atmosphere and vibe. Very good price/value relationship

Spencer M.

Yelp
Fantastic service. Amazing food. Marco greater us and showed us to the air conditioned section, got us waters, and we immediately felt refreshed. Karen was our server and she was super helpful. Have a smoothie. They are sooo good. I had the strawberry banana and my wife had the green cleanse. For food we had the empanadas, beef stuffed jalapeños, fish tacos and cauliflower tacos. Everything was fresh, tasty, and hit the spot.

Rachel O.

Yelp
I'm a little bummed. Pricing has gone up and quality has gone down. We tried it twice, due to amazing experiences 5 plus years ago, but I'm not sure we'll be back. Ceviche was incredibly fishy and tacos were overly salted. Nothing to write home about anymore.

Amber Y.

Yelp
Our group of 16 went to this restaurant for a bachelorette party dinner. The staff was very sweet and accommodating. Our food all came out at the same time. Everything was delicious. I had the biggest short rib of my entire life.

Erica L.

Yelp
Probably one of our best meals during vacation. We LOVED their ceviche. It's definitely island style rather than traditional Mexican. But all the flavors were great. We also got the shrimp and fish tacos. My favorite out of the two was the fish- which surprised me because I'm more of a shrimp person. Fantastic mezcal-ritas as well. Loved this spot. Would come back every visit. ***THEY HAVE AIR CONDITIONING***

Brad H.

Yelp
My wife and I started off our day in isla mujeres by having breakfast here. The food, drinks, and atmosphere made this one of the best and funnest meals we had. We ate at the bar, on the swinging seats. It was a nice spot to hang out and watch everything passing by on the side street. We also got to see all of the different drinks the bartenders were making up. We did not get one, but the Bloody Marys looked amazing. For my meal I had the shakshouka. Super flavorful and the perfect amount of spice. The bread that came with it was perfect for dipping and scooping up all the amazing flavors. Would highly recommend if you are in the area!

Esther C.

Yelp
Preface this with, if you are not in a rush and not hangry, you will love it here. The place is so cute and the vibe is very lively and energetic for dinner. The food was good. Even my kid's cheese pizza looked so unoriginal but had surprisingly good flavor. The fish tacos came with mango salsa and the traditional spicy creamy sauce on the side. I would definitely eat it again. I also really enjoyed my pineapple ginger margarita It came on the rocks and was a lovely cocktail choice. My only gripe is the service is extremely slow. The food took maybe 45 mins -1 hour to come out. The waiter we had barely came by and I even got up to the counter to get my check and pay. He was too busy chatting with the hostess and watching people walking by. IMPORTANT: They include tip automatically so check your bill. Also, their conversion rate is awful- bring pesos to eat here.
