Let's start with I LOVE THIS PLACE. It's literally the best hostel so far and I traveled a lot. Great experience and absolutely wonderful customer service. They really are paying attention to every little detail in their hostel, you can see how much effort they put into this. Pricing is very good and they do activities for everyone in the hostel - Like we went to the castle today! It's also free! You also get free coffee and tea and board games! And the place is full of friendly people, so you can met new friends there. They also helped me with a charger and when I left our they gave me a postcard!! How cute is that. So 10/10, would recommend and will go here again ❤ thank you guys for your hospitality

Lollis was everything that is great about staying in a hostel. As an older, middle-class man, I could have afforded to stay in a more expensive place. However, I am glad I splurged (by hostel standards) and stayed here in a private room. From the moment I walked in, the staff showed compassion and professionalism in caring for me. ||The place is extremely well situated in the hip area of Dresden. Even if the youngsters staying at the hostel were going off partying, they never disturbed me. We socialized a lot together in face, reflecting the high level of organization by the hostel. There was a trivia game going one night and a free dinner happening the second night. In fact, at the dinner, I saw that there also were other older guests staying.||The only caveat I would offer is be prepared to walk up some flights of stairs if you stay here. There is no elevator. This did not bug me at all, but it is something that one ought to know in advance.||Finally, for those traveling by bicycle like me, rest assured that there is a very secure place to leave the bike when not using it.

I had a very pleasant stay at Lollis Homestay Hostel! I received a super warm welcome & a lot of information on the city and upcoming events when I arrived. I had really nice chats with the friendly guy at the reception (the owner?) and really enjoyed the warmhearted and authentic atmosphere in this Hostel. All in all I felt super safe and supported as a solo travelling woman. The Location is also amazing if you want to explore the vibrant Neustadt with its Cafés, Bars, Restaurants, Art and nightlife. And it’s easy to get to the City Center/Altstadt from there. I wish I could‘ve stayed longer! But I‘ll be back for sure :-) Keep up the good work and thanks a lot for this wonderful experience <3 I wish you all the best! Greetings and a big hug Michelle O.

We had the best time at Lollis Homestay! Super friendly staff, good atmosphere and chilled main area in the hostel with free coffee and tea at all times. The room was very pretty and clean. We‘re a queer couple and not always that relaxed with also showing it, for safety reasons, but at Lollis it was not a problem at all - felt super safe and comfy at all times! Thanks! (:

The hostel is in the best neighborhood in Dresden by far. If you are young, okay with nightlife ambiente and open, you will wanna stay here for sure. The vibe of the area and the hostel fit perfectly and all the travelers plus the stuff I met where super friendly and welcoming. Its clean enough and the beds fave curtains, breakfast ist solid and free coffee.

Great staff, clean bathrooms, nice music at the counter. In the centre of Neustadt but in the same time we do not have trouble sleeping. Worth staying!

Yelp
I stayed at several hostels during my European backpacking trip this year and hands down Lollis was one of the best places I stayed at. Sure, I was kind of biased on picking this particular hostel, due to it's name striking an eerily resemblance to my bff's nick name, but it's price, location, clean facilities, cool staff, interesting decor, and yes, tasty breakfast, sealed the deal for five stars. I also liked the fact that the tour guide that stops there is a really funny and awesome local that knows not only all the good eateries and bars but an encyclopedia worth of history of the area and pretty much about the country. Kudos to you kind sir! But back to the hostel, they have laptops you can use if you left yours at home and wi-fi is best in the common areas. This isn't a party hostel, which is fine by me. I'm sure you'll still meet super friendly travelers who wouldn't mind hitting up one of the many dive bars in the Neustadt area. Lastly, did you see that earlier? I wrote bff. BFF. It's ok, you can still trust my review.

Yelp
This hostel was everything I was hoping it would be! My friend and I found it easily using our GPS. We were greeted by a very friendly bilingual desk attendant (my friend that I was traveling with is fluent in both English and German but my German is very lacking!) who answered every question we had. We were in a 6-person room, but there only turned out to be three of us staying there. For 4 extra Euros we were able to add Fruhstuck (breakfast!), and it was a lovely spread, especially for the money it cost. On the first floor of the hostel were two common rooms where people could socialize and make coffee and tea. It was also well-stocked with board games. Other bonuses: wifi included, a great crowd of fellow guests (hopefully that's always true!), and did I mention the Fruhstuck? Con: there is no free parking to be had in Dresden; this isn't the hostel's fault.

Yelp
I reserved two double rooms on Oct 3 and 4. In short, I would rate it good. It is almost as good as it says on its won web site. Here are the cons and pros of my view point. 1. Free booklet of many Europen country cheap hostel information. There is even booklet of Chile. 2. Both receiption staffs were kind and helpful and also have good English command. 3. There was a new receiption lady, who was also kind and hardworking, but her mathematics was not good or she was too nervous to make apparent mistakes on account. 4. One of my double room had only one king size bed, which was on a shelf and the distance between the bed surface to the ceiling was only about 80 cm. One could barely sit on the bad. 5. I reserved the rooms two weeks before my check-in date. At that time the hostel offered free dinner on Monday. While when I came on Oct 3, Monday, the receiption gentelmen told me that the policy changed just several days ago, free dinner was no longer provided instead each guest could bring their own materila or dishes and share in the private room of this hostel. It was like potoluck. It is Germany Unity Day on Oct 3; is not that very disappointing to us?

Yelp
When you entered the lobby there was a very strong unpleasant smell. After some discussion we were allowed to go view the room. Despite the odor in the lobby rooms were very fresh smelling and clean. Bathroom facilities were very clean. There were no disrupting noises in the night. You can pay with a credit card but there are extra fees so I would recommend cash
