Lomani Island Resort & Spa

Even ten days after our departure, we are still reminiscing about our incredible stay at Lomani (7-night). The ocean views at the resort were unbeatable - the water was so calm and still making it a paradise for swimming and snorkeling. The beach itself is pristine with powdery and fine sand. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming. And, the kitchen led by chef Steven offers top-notch quality food. Highly recommend this place!

I wouldn't hesitate to return. Everything at Lomani is beautiful. The island location is unforgettable, the facilities are comfortable and spotless, the pool and cabanas are refreshing and the spa services are relaxing. The food at the restaurant is filling, tasty and varied. However, the people who work there are uniformly friendly and go out of their way to assure that your time there is memorable. You can't go wrong at Lomani.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay and Lomani tremendously. The grounds were immaculate and the atmosphere was quiet and romantic. There is nothing like a Fiji sunset. You have to go on the sunset cruise. The staff was attentive, kind and cheerful. The General Manager (Shelly) was awesome. She resolved issues promptly and she was the epitome of professionalism. I strongly recommend Lomani.

From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, with the resort’s intimate size making it feel exclusive without being pretentious. The beachfront bure was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with stunning ocean views and easy access to the water. Meals were consistently enjoyable, showcasing fresh local produce and flavours, and dining by the water at sunset was a highlight of the stay. The resort grounds are well maintained, and the overall pace encourages you to slow down and truly unwind. What truly sets Lomani apart, however, is its outstanding guest service. Oli, William, Luisa, Jovesa, Bill, and Vani deserve special mention for going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Their friendliness, attentiveness, and genuine care created a personal connection that made us feel less like guests and more like valued friends. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and service was always delivered with warmth and smiles. While there is room for minor refinements to reach a full five stars, Lomani Island Resort remains a wonderful choice for couples seeking relaxation, romance, and authentic Fijian hospitality.

Lomani is one very special place. We spent six days there and could have stayed for weeks. The staff, the food, the bar, the location, the weather (even with cyclone) were all perfect. Made for a very memorable break. World class in efficiency and customer service.

We had a wonderful trip to Lomani & would thoroughly recommend it. ||Getting there is really easy using Manolo cat service which runs 3 times a day. We travelled straight from the airport & there was a shuttle bus to the harbour (on our return they also provided a shuttle to our hotel on Denaru). ||You arrive at Plantation resort to a beautiful Fijian welcome before you are whisked away to the adults only sanctury of Lomani. We arrive well before check in time but they have a day room with bathroom/shower for you to freshen up & leave your luggage. We were even early enough that we were offered breakfast which was an unexpected surprise.||We stayed in a beach front bure which I have to say the website pictures dont do justice to. It was beautifully maintained and huge with big living area, as well as garden that led down to the beach and the bathroom had both indoor & outdoor showers. You get a lovely turndown service each evening with fabulous fresh baked cookies & on Christmas Eve we had a gift of a Pure Fiji cracker with travel toiletries was an unexpected delight.||The food was throughout our trip exceptional, in particular the Christmas Eve set menu. A couple of suggestions for improvement would be whilst there were specials everyday to add variety these were main courses or deserts so would be nice to add some starters. The buffet breakfast could also be improved but the cooked selection was again fabulous. Our original plan was to take advantage of the restaurants in Plantation but having wandered round the resort & looked at their restaurants we couldn't tear ourselves away from Lomani. What was useful however, was the bottle shop at Plantation as the bar at Lomani closes at 9pm & is quiet well before that, so we were able to enjoy nightcaps in our garden (bring mosquito repellent or be sure to use what Lomani provide in both the room & restaurant!).||They provide a mix of included & additional cost activities including snorkelling (which they try & go to different spots daily) and land activities like basket weaving or kokoda making. For paid activities we did Cloud 9 which had been on my bucket list (a bit over rated & full of lots very drunk people!) plus a sunset cruise, which was lovely. I also had both a massage & facial at the spa, which was a beautiful setting & I enjoyed both & found prices reasonable.||As many other reviewers have said the staff are an abolute stand out, the warm Fijian culture just shines through and you feel truly at home, most people know your name & room number by the end of day 1 and hugs are a frequent occurance!||Lomani should absolutely be top of your list of options in Fiji at any time of year but as a couple without children you definitely should be looking at adults only options during peak season & there Lomani was a standout memory of our time in Fiji.

We stayed at the Lomani Island Resort for four nights. Upon arrival on the "Malolo Cat," we were greeted with singing and shell necklaces. Then we were transferred to the hotel, where we were greeted with another song. We were then given a fresh coconut and towels to help us settle in. Afterward, we were shown to our room with sea view. The room was really large and clean. The air conditioning in the room worked perfectly. The resort's pool was clean and a good temperature. There were plenty of loungers for relaxing. Various leisure activities were offered. We went reef snorkeling every morning. Once it was cut short due to an approaching storm, and another time because people who couldn't swim had signed up. That was a real shame, but not the staff's fault. The highlight, however, was the Dolphin Hunt. We saw not only dolphins but also turtles. Afterward, we went snorkeling on a beautiful reef. There are other activities available, such as line fishing, and some activities require an additional fee. Happy hour was every day from 4:30 to 5:30 PM. There's also a spa. I had the detoxing facial – it was fantastic. The spa is very new and modern. Saunas and an ice bath are also available for an extra charge. We really enjoyed our stay. The only reason I can't give the room 5 stars is that we sometimes had no water in the toilet. We mentioned this twice, and each time we were told that it was a known issue and that they were working on it. Unfortunately, the situation didn't improve much. The food at the restaurant is very tasty and offers a wide variety for meat and fish eaters. There's also a vegetarian and a vegan option for both the starter and main course. That's great, but it would be nice if there were at least two choices for each, as eating the same thing all the time was very repetitive for me. I also would have wished for a vegan dessert. All in all, though, this didn't spoil our mood. Malolo Lailai is simply a beautiful island; you can't help but feel comfortable there. It's truly like paradise. The staff are all so incredibly friendly! Everyone greets you warmly and wants you to feel at ease. Vinaka to every Single one of the staff, you are amazing!

My husband and I, together with friends, spent a week at Lomani mid September and had a ball. We have been to Fiji many times and stayed at some great resorts over the years but Lomani was up there with the best. A beautifully maintained, well run resort with exceptional staff who treated us like family. Nothing was too much trouble.|The bures are like new and very large with a lovely bathroom and outdoor shower area. We had a plunge pool villa which led directly onto the beach.|There is lots to do such as snorkeling each day, visit to Cloud 9, village visit etc. All activities are well run and organised.|Happy hour was always fun for a cocktail and chat to the staff and other guests. Food was generally good.|We had a number of treatments at the spa which were all fabulous. Genevieve and Mary were both excellent therapists.|The pool and surrounds are lovely and never seem crowded even when the resort is full as it was when we were there.|We highly recommend Lomani if you are looking for a relaxing escape in a friendly environment and can't wait for our next stay in November.
