Lone Peak Taxi

Lone Peak Taxi was a reliable, safe way to get from Big Sky to Bozeman! We highly recommend this service. The car was clean, the ride was smooth, and the pickup was prompt. Lane had clear communication so we knew when to expect him. He brings his well-trained, clean dog along for the ride!

When in Big Sky/ Bozeman/Yellowstone, one should spend some time seeing stuff and doing stuff. It requires mobility. Unless you’re driving your own vehicle, be prepared for some transportation sticker shock! That’s where Lane and Lone Peak Taxi come in. They are prompt, easy to get ahold of, comfortable, accommodating and comparatively well priced. I looked and tried alternatives; Lone Peak came through!

We booked months in advance to make sure we would have transportation to and from our destination. Lane was truly great at accommodating for our delayed flights. With a flight schedule change and two delays I was nervous I wouldn’t have a ride once we arrived at the airport. Our ride was comfortable and we got to our destination safely. Unfortunately our return to the airport was not a good experience. Although I received a confirmation for our booking by email and then again via text message we were not picked up. An hour past our pickup time had gone by and I began to worry we would miss our flights. I attempted to call with the number provided in the email for questions but was unable to reach anyone. I also attempted to text the driver number we were given but also no response. Thankfully we were able to find an alternative shuttle back to the airport (more expensive but no other options available) with 20 minutes to get to our gate. Lone Peak Taxi was certainly a great experience at the beginning of our trip but I could not recommend them if you are looking for a reliable ride. I’m not sure what we would have done if we missed our flights and had to rebook. For the business: I would recommend not using an automated system to confirm bookings the day of (or the day before). This should be manually triggered by an employee. If it’s not, then the customer should be immediately notified they no longer have a ride. If I had 12 hours or more to plan a different ride this situation could have been avoided. I do understand mistakes happen. I believe this needs to be handled differently in the future to have a better outcome. I appreciate the business response. I was made aware in a text later that day that a mistake was made and that is why there was no pickup. Thankfully Big Sky had been through a dry spell and the roads were very clear. We had the concierge at the resort check on the road status to make sure nothing was blocked and no incidents were reported. I was only made aware now that the vehicle was stuck which is different than what was explained in the text message to me. Being stuck without cell service for 4 hours must have been rough. I apologize for not understanding your text properly. You are correct, when I lose you lose. Two very expensive plane tickets were on the line. Thankfully we made it.

Lane safely drives a well-kept and perfectly winter-capable vehicle, is on time for pickups, and makes good time - as well as good conversation! Lone Peak Taxi is always the way to go, whether home from dinner, to the grocery store (can ask for a wait), or out to the bar.

We used Lone Peak for car service from the Montage Great Sky to the Bozeman airport. Great communication, on time, lovely car. Saved a good bit of $ from the car service recommended by the Montage. Will 100% use them next time we come. Thanks so much!
