This was a first time visit, and we were pleased in every way. The ambience in this old time saloon takes you back in time, and we enjoyed looking at all the parafernalia. Our server was personable, and took time to visit with us; she was also attentive throughout our meal. The food was fantastic, with great portions of tasty breakfast foods. I loved that biscuit and gravy is offered as a side and it was so good. The bacon was thick cut and especially flavorful. My husband ordered an omelet and a side choice was pancakes. She said “they’re the small ones”, we later regaled a pancake breakfast has huge pancakes! The prices were great, and we highly recommend. We’ll be back!

Google
What a special place! If you’re in Prescott, AZ, I highly recommend this breakfast place. Open 6:30am-2:30pm. Get there early as it’s a very popular place and well worth the wait. Service was so incredibly friendly and the atmosphere for interesting and unique. Highly recommend!

Google
Stopped here for breakfast. What a fun atmosphere! Most importantly coffee was delivered FAST. Service was great and food was delivered promptly and was delicious. Enjoyed reading the Wyatt Earp information. Reasonable prices too. Did you see the size of that apple pancake?

Christian artiga

Google
Stopped here because my cousin had heard great things. He enjoyed his breakfast they use pintos beans instead of black beans. The burger was solid however the chicken tortilla soup was gross the chicken in it had no flavor and heavy cumin. Nothing out of the ordinary that would make me go out of my way to come back. Definitely a place to check out due to the decorations.

Google
The food is good, they do serve you a lot of food. Great decoration inside very cowboy. The wait was a little bit longer like 45 mins. I just order scramble eggs, bacon, and seasoned potatoes. It came with a biscuit and gravy. It was good the potatoes were a little bit overcooked. My husband ordered the biscuit and gravy.

Our first time here . . . delicious! Looking forward to more visits. Excellent country fied steak with biscuits & gravy. I had the Veggie Benedict, It couldn't have been tastier.

Google
I had the pleasure of eating at a local favorite and help the small business out. If you're ever in Prescott, AZ I strongly recommend this establishment it took less than 5 minutes from when I ordered my French dip sandwich until it came, it was hot, well put together, very succulent and filled my belly. Did I mention the service was fast?

Google
Amazing breakfast. The skillet and Omelette menu selection are great. Had the Cowboy skillet. The ambience is pure southwestern country. The service is fast and friendly. Can't complain about anything.

Yelp
The restaurant was charming decorated. It's very patriotic and western. The place was clean too. We came for breakfast twice. I ordered the egg breakfast (2 eggs, biscuit and subbed cottage cheese for the potatoes). It was not fancy but decent. The Santa Fe omelette was ordered by a friend. He thought is was very good. My hubby had the Huevos Rancheros, he said it was ok. Coffee was hot and the service was good. Solid place to eat, not great but not bad. If anything go to see the decorations, it's very well done.

Lisa M.

Yelp
Big servings and great selection for breakfast. Service was friendly and food came out hot and tasty. The biscuits and gravy were amazing.

Yelp
This restaurant is closed. And I think permanently. It has been closed since 6/10/24 for "remodeling". All of the other locations have also closed abruptly and some are in litigation.

jason m.

Yelp
Food is plentiful and pretty quick, but other than the decor, it could be a Denny's. I like the ambiance, and the location is convenient, but I wouldn't call it a destination restaurant.

Diane Z.

Yelp
What happened??? This place has been a hit and miss but we were excited to see new flooring . Looking forward to a Bloody Mary but they no longer have a liquor license. Food had no flavor, nothing fresh. They also have a sign asking to pay in cash when possible. That in itself is not a good sign. Hope it all gets turned around, owner moved to Texas they say. We need this restaurant downtown!!!

Marisa B.

Yelp
We live here, every time we walk by Lone Spur Cafe, people are always waiting to be seated. There was a big event going on this day so we got lucky, got seated right away and the server took our food and had it delivered all within a reasonable time frame. No complaints there. It looks small from the outside but once you go in, they have plenty of seating in another room. The servers were nice and complimented my son's Halloween costume, he felt like being Naruto today. I couldn't believe how BIG his pancake was, he enjoyed it so much! It also came with simple scrambled eggs with cheese and a side of bacon very yummy as well. I got the French dip sandwich which was absolutely delicious. My fries were okay, they were more on the cold soggy side, no crispness to them. Overall we had a delicious brunch and would definitely come here again.

Yelp
CLOSED - Sign on door says closed for remodeling (since 6/10/24). Even though Yelp says OPEN, they're not.

Yelp
Great place, manager was great and food was excellent . All quality here , I eat my burgers near raw , and most places don't even come close , this burger I had was perfectly cooked and tasted just like the southwest . We also had tuna melt and Reuben , all fantastic . The service went well beyond and I witnessed this at all the tables there at the time . Bravo we will be back

Kemlyn B.

Yelp
Friendly service! Friendly for family gatherings, big enough for meetings and get together. This casual atmosphere was perfect for a lunch stop. I enjoyed a burger especially the onion rings. Yummy. Medium well. Nothing spectacular, but assuaged my hunger.

Danny Z.

Yelp
Great food and good size proportions. We did breakfast rancheros and chipotle chicken wraps. Home made coleslaw. Ken was also very nice.

Marshall G.

Yelp
We really wanted to like this place. The decor is so perfect western. So, coffee and hot chocolate. Great. Corn beef hash n eggs very good. But the toast, hash browns on both plates were cold. And the bathrooms were not tended. And you have to go by the kitchen, no door. So Gotta look ..... All I want yo do is step in and do an inspection. Unlikely we ll go back before we go out tomorrow. Service and decor were the tops.

Sharon W.

Yelp
I don't know how true this is, but I was told they were not going to open back up. There was a problem that I don't think I should share on here that reason that people are talking about that they will not open up.. too many problems in the mix.

Cindy S.

Yelp
Perfect little secret in Prescott. The restaurant is down to earth and friendly with humor. Lots of food, you better go here hungry. It is now our Prescott favorite.

Socorro A.

Yelp
Only go here if you are hungry as the portions can literally feed an army. Ok, not really....but you can take half home and have a second meal later. The menu offers a wide variety for breakfast and you can't go wrong with the basic eggs, bacon and hash. Allow for a wait if you are there on a weekend, but it is worth waiting. The ambiance is great and very high energy. One of the servers wears a tiny cowboy hat and he is the funniest. But every server works hard and all are gracious and accommodations. Highly recommended for their food, portion sizes and ambiance.

Edward S.

Yelp
The food was excellent. I took enough home for 2 more meals Way too much food No wonder we in America are overweight.

Diserie V.

Yelp
I highly recommend this cute western themed restaurant! My husband and I were up here in Prescott for a weekend getaway, we jumped on Yelp to find a good breakfast spot. Great food pictures are what help make our decisions on where to grab a bite to eat most of the time. The pictures we saw did not disappoint at all. So glad we chose this place. The environment was very inviting! From the gentleman that greeted us when we walked in, to the gentleman that was our server, everything was great! Food was absolutely delicious, portions are hearty! If you're in Prescott,AZ, you definitely need to come here! Thank you Lone Spur Cafe! You guys are AWESOME!!

Yelp
Went in on a Friday morning. The place wasn't too busy by any means. We waited 10 minutes to be seated, weren't even acknowledged for the first 7 minutes even though there were employees around. After being seated we waited almost another 10 before we left as we were not acknowledged yet again. This wouldn't bother me if they were busy, however we saw the employees screwing around with each other, taking selfies, and being obnoxious. On my way to the restroom I saw an employee in the kitchen trying to take charge and as she was doing so, another employee (probably the one causing issues she was trying to set straight) yelling "I love it! I love it so much!" taunting her. Then we walked right up the street to St. Michael's Bistro. Night and day difference. So happy we opted to switch. No reason to give Lone Spur a second try when we know there's a better option. Shame for a small town cafe.

Christina K.

Yelp
Austin rocked! He was on the ball!! He sat my husband and I asap, grabbed our drink order as soon as we sat down, and our food was out fast! Our food was yummy and full of flavor. The ambiance was so cool too. Lots of country decor. Definitely will be be back!! Thank you Austin for making our experience great!

Connie W.

Yelp
Top sirloin steak and eggs with biscuit and gravy: steak - I asked for medium rare but they cooked it as done all the way through, nonetheless it was very tender and flavorful enough. eggs - I asked for scramble extra soft and it came out regular soft but it was runny enough for me, I mixed it with the crunchy roasted potatoes for a perfect complimenting texture. biscuit and gravy - there were generous amounts of meat in the gravy, the biscuit was par but with the gravy, it was 50x better.

Yelp
The waitress had made a mistake with our order, which happens and is understandable but argued with us about it. Then when we got the bill we were charged for the items we did not receive that she had previously argued about. After paying the bill we noticed that we had been charged two dollars more for an item than what was listed on the menu when we brought this to their attention they again argued rolled their eyes, then admitted that someone had forgotten to update the prices. Mistakes happen and that's understandable. It's how they reacted to their mistakes and putting lower prices on the menu than what they actually charge that was the most upsetting.

Pam F.

Yelp
Everything needs work and paying the employees would be good. Here are another few characters to fill the space that my simple sentence didn't.

Audra D.

Yelp
Cute rustic local joint I the square. Downtown Prescott is great for pokemon go catching, we were suddenly hungry...and this place seemed authentic and unpretentious. It fit the bill. My daughter ordered a waffle. It was huge. (We didn't see a kids menu, nor was one offered FWIW) so she ordered a simple waffle. She loved it. I was debating between biscuits and gravy or the cowboy skillet . Our server told my the skillet came with a B&G side. Perfect, I thought. Oh man,my eyes were bigger than my belly. I tried my best to finish it. No was it happened, it was just to much. Delicious, and HUGE. Be hungry if you order it. Truly delicious. Gravy is sooooo good.

Mary C.

Yelp
I had GI issues for 5 weeks after eating here. The service was terrible. I won't go back.

Denise R.

Yelp
It has been reported that the owner is writing bad checks & his employees are not getting paid. Hopefully by the time this is published the restaurant will be closed.

Jason H.

Yelp
The food was underwhelming. My hash browns weren't golden and crispy like you expect from a breakfast cafe. The rest of my skillet was daily boring. The highlight of my breakfast was, unfortunately, the sourdough toast that accompanied my meal. The portion sizes were good, and the price was reasonable. The 15 minute wait to be seated wasn't worth it. The decor is fun and rustic western. And the staff was friendly.

TGarv G.

Yelp
Great downtown location across from the courthouse. A bit pricey but the food was very good.

Brian C.

Yelp
Service was very good, friendly and helpful. Food was ok but nothing special. Got a patty melt and there were almost no grilled onions, the cheese was not melted. The patty was fine as was the rye bread. The accompanying fies are shoestring style which i like but they came out soggy. Next time to the Prescott town center, ill probably try another place.

Krista W.

Yelp
Great breakfast spot! Service was fantastic. Benedict was great, huevos ranchero was okay

Elizabeth W.

Yelp
Michael B was absolutely amazing super attentive and all around great service and the food is to die for! This is a must stop every time we come to Prescott. Had the cowboy meat skillet and I can not say enough good things about the potatoes Make sure you check out this cute western restaurant next time you're in town!

Cherie D.

Yelp
Visiting for a wedding and had no idea where to eat, so glad we found this place!! Ordered chicken fried steak, eggs and hash browns with a side of pancakes. Everything was delish!!

Ann B.

Yelp
This place is a bust! It's gone totally down hill. Food was atrocious, service was slow only seemed to be one waiter Ken who belonged in a circus! So sad bec this used to be a great place. Menu abbreviated, great decor no little cowboy joke books on tables , lighting bad ( prob to hid food) Got well steak i stead of med rare

Melanie K.

Yelp
My husband and I dropped in for breakfast on a recent weekday morning. A friendly young man showed us to a booth. First thing I noticed was that the seat had a huge rip in it. The server took a few minutes to greet us, but not too long. She was a very quiet young lady. My husband ordered the eggs and waffle plate, and I ordered 2 eggs over medium. After some time, a man brought our order. Presentation was simple but okay. My husband said the waffle was good. His eggs were not quite done enough for his liking. He had requested well done. My eggs were cooked correctly but came out on the cool side. Overall, the food was underwhelming. Lastly, the decor of the restaurant appears cluttered and outdated. I get that they're trying for a western vibe, but it just seems junky, and frankly, unclean. I think there are better places in town to get a good breakfast.

Barb H.

Yelp
Stopped here for a quick bite while visiting the area. I ordered the breakfast burrito without bacon and my gf ordered the patty melt. She said the patty melt was good and it wasn't greasy which is a plus, FF were also good and non greasy. My burrito had egg, cheese, pinto beans, salsa, peppers and came with hash browns. It had good flavor but wasn't very hot at all when it arrived and this is from someone who usually doesn't like food that's too hot so that says something for me. Overall it was just ok, nothing crazy or amazing. Service was good.

Henry C.

Yelp
The staff are friendly and inviting. The decor is what one would expect, mining tools, western clothing, and taxidermy. The food is quintessential country comfort food served in generous portions. Stop and have a breakfast, spend a day hiking in the area, you won't be hungry until dinner.

Ashley S.

Yelp
walked in, waited 10 minutes with no acknowledgement from staff. It was not busy and there were only 5 tables seated. decided to we should just go somewhere else right at the same time someone walked up to seat us. we explained we were going somewhere else because of the wait and his response was "we have a full house. I'm here now, do you want a table or no?" we said "no thank you" and he responded with "whatever". not friendly at all. couldn't tell you if the food was good because we never made it that far.

Mary S.

Yelp
Ambience is great with the western theme but sadly food was so bad we left most of it. And we ordered basic things like sausage and eggs. Hash browns were inedible.

Kim G.

Yelp
Lone Spur is a cowboy restaurant in Prescott that has regional sister spots around Colorado and Arizona. The eatery features western and cowboy decor as well as 19th & 20th century nostalgia such as photos, wood rails, license plates and such. The Lone Spur is a breakfast/lunch spot that opens early at 630am and closes early, at 2:00pm. The restaurant has ample seating in two long sections, with nice high back booths in the one section for privacy. The staff greets you kindly and sits you fairly quickly. The menu is primairly what you'd expect with a number of dishes such as chicken fried steak and eggs, french toast special and other typical breakfast fare. They have good burgers for lunch. They also have a few southwest tinged dishes that incorporate some green chiles and sauce to make the locale influence felt. I tried the chicken fried steak and eggs. The quantity was large but the entrée seemed like it was a thin manufactured chicken fried steak patty, not homemade. It was ok, but not real good. My wife chose the french toast for her meal. These were very good, but so small as yo be disappointing. The bacon was good and nicely cooked. The biscuits and gravy were not great because the biscuits were so tough I couldn't cut them with my knife. As a restaurant I would rate it better than a typical Denny's . But it wasnt good local home-cooked feel or experience. Not sure I would return.

Cathy H.

Yelp
What a disappointment!! After waiting to get in, we were seated at a table that literally bounced when people would walk by. When we told the waiter they already knew (they must hear it a lot because the waiter pointed out the other surrounding things that did too). We went to look at menus, but it's all online accessed by QR code on the table, which was super challenging for our older group members, once they got it on their phone it was very hard to read. We finally ordered and yuck, the silverware was dirty. When food came, one of the meals was so bad it tasted like someone poured the can of canned mushrooms (packing liquid and all) into the omelette. Literally couldn't eat it and I've never had that happen to me before (well, outside of my own cooking sometimes!). The server was kind enough to notice that it wasn't touched and took it off the bill. Not sure what's going on here but I don't think I'll be back to see if it was a unique episode.

liz m.

Yelp
I want to say we didn't actually get to try the place.... But we showed up at about 9:30 today and there were several open tables, however, they must have been short staffed because nobody was in the tables and they said it would be a 15 to 20 minutes and it was over 35 minutes , still tons of open tables and we decided to leave. Not going back, there was nothing said due to the delays and they were not meeting the promises they kept telling people... everyone was complaining... such a bummer.

Ron Z.

Yelp
At 8:45, we had to wait nearly 10 minutes to be seated. Not because there were a lot of people ahead of us, but because of a lack of staff. There were only 3 waitresses, and they had to hostess, take orders, serve, and bus tables. When we walked in, the couple in front of us was being seated. We went nearly 10 min without being acknowledged, and the couple that came in about 5 minutes after us left. Half the food was ok, the other half not worth the price of it was free. My wife had the biscuit and sausage gravey as a side. The sausage gravey was thick, pastey, and lacked flavor. All three of us had hashbrowns that nobody was able to choke down, not even with ketchup. This was our second time in here since mid-March, and both times, they were of the thick cut porkchop. I guess they only order enough for only patron a day. The setting is nice and rustic, and the staff did hustle. But shame on management that was nowhere to be seen or manage. Two out of the three of us wanted to leave. Because of management and only mediocur food, this was our last time here. Thankfully for this establishment, the unknowing tourist crowd may keep this place alive.

Diana K.

Yelp
This USED to be the "go to place" for amazing food. Then a guy bought and and stopped paying his employees and suppliers - or so an employee told me and also evidenced by the fact the ONLY thing available for breakfast was eggs and/or CANNED cornbeef. RUN!

Steve M.

Yelp
This used to be our go to place when we visited Prescott but after this last visit it will be our last. We thought it was odd that the restaurant was so slow on a Saturday morning when in the past it was a good 15-30 minute wait to get in. They didn't have the sirloin for the steak and eggs, the French toast was supposed to be cinnamon raisin bread but it was just white bread and our order probably took 45 minutes to arrive at the table despite the restaurant being 1/3-1/2 full at best. Our food got there and it wasn't hot, it definitely had been sitting for a while before being brought out and the pulled pork sandwich actually made our friend sick that afternoon. I wouldn't recommend this place anymore which is really sad because it used to be really good.

Zoe K.

Yelp
**COWBOY THEMED VERY FESTIVE ** Awesome service: Thank you Rebecca! Order: *Skinny cowboy, scrambled eggs, coffee Delicious!! *Bacon and eggs, side of grits, orange juice Super thick bacon, 3 eggs and hashbrown potatoes. YUM! Country music in the air Masks are discretionary Comfortable, casual, delicious, and friendly Y'all are awesome!

Constance C.

Yelp
My husband and took our 4 grandkids here for lunch on Sunday, July 30. Our wait time to be seated wasn't bad, however it took over an hour to get our meals - 3 burgers & fries, a breakfast burrito, a lunch salad, an order of chili, and a cup of tortilla soup. The chili and soup came last, cold, and in paper bowls because they " ran out of bowls and cups". We were thanked with an added .79 for ranch dressing (which also arrived at the end of our meal), and an 18% gratuity. This definitely WILL NOT be our first choice next time!

Daniel B.

Yelp
Ooh..weee! Now who don't like themselves a good ole cowboy breakfast!! Pancakes big as yer hat, eggs made how ya like em and bacon crisp as potata chips. This place will keep ya comin back fer more!!

Stacy W.

Yelp
Horrible service! The staff refused to acknowledge us as we stood in the entrance for 15 minutes. They would come out to wash tables, pour coffee and talk to the other servers.

Chris S.

Yelp
June 2020 - Wow! What a major disappointment! This used to be my favorite breakfast place in Prescott. So much has changed in the past year since my last visit. - Serice was a challenge. Once our food was delivered, trying to get something from our waitress was close to impossible. We would have to tell her while she was "on the run past our table". She never stopped at the table to listen to our requests. Also, if you order coffee you shouldn't have to ask for a refill, and more creamers and more sweetener. At check time she runs by and drops it on the table. Never says thank you or gives us instructions to pay up front. - Garbage (creamer containers and Splenda packets) just piled up and wasn't removed from table during meal. - Corned beef hash was so crispy there was not soft hash. It was greasy too. - Gravy for biscuits was over seasoned with pepper. - Veggie omelette was super greasy too. - Country potatoes were ok. They are previously frozen little potato squares. Not a true country potato. I guess it is time to find a new favorite breakfast place here in Prescott.

Shannon B.

Yelp
Great place to stop in for breakfast! Ken was extremely fun and friendly while being very tentative. The food came out very quick, piping hot and delicious! One note I have is if you don't like very crunchy hash browns, I'd recommend the potatoes instead. Overall great experience we'll be happy to come back! :)

Lolita P.

Yelp
Rating is based on the overall experience from the wait time to service and taste of food. First time in this cafe. Were from Casa Grande and stayed with a group friends for the weekend. We were a group of 7 and waited about 20 mins on a Sunday (not bad) to be seated. Once seated we ordered drinks and food at the same time. Waited almost 40 mins for our food. The food arrived and 2 of the burritos didn't have the chorizo. The food server apologized and said they discounted the order. The taste of the food is okay. The appearance of food is okay. It was an okay experience. The cafe was full and seemed short on staff. They did the best they could I guess. Perhaps next time would be a better experience.
