Lone Star Restaurant & Hotel

Four of us went for lunch. In our opinion too many waiters serving us. Only one of the meals was good the ribs. Fish and chips mediocre. Shrimp curry ok with soggy poppadoms and the prawn linguine was cold and had to be cooked again. Beautiful setting with amazing views and a lovely classy restaurant but so overpriced for what we received. We went last year and really enjoyed it but something has changed and it has gone downhill. Will not be going again. Champers and Tapas far better.

Amazing setting and restaurant setup. The service was faultless with a stunning menu where each dish was outstanding. Having dinner as the sun sets and the waves on the beach was a special experience. Excellent wine choices across the price range. Prepare yourself for a top end bill, but the food, service and setting make it worthwhile

The vibe and feel of the restaurant is amazing. Very upscale and cool. The waiters were really kind and made everyone feel very at home. We liked the appetizers. The coconut shrimp was a classic and the best we had on the trip, and the tuna and mussels were delicious. The duck with the pancakes was great, and we wish it came with more pancakes. The curry had a lot of flavor and was a bit spicy, pretty classic, and the barracuda was good too. The desserts were our favorites, all 3 of them being outstanding in their own way. Definitely recommend the donuts, cup, and sticky toffee cake equally. 8.9/10 and the best food we had on the trip.

Absolutely beautiful place - quite breathtaking when you first visit. One of the best places you can spend your time relaxing, rain or shine. Food is very good and beautifully presented. They also have some excellent singers there who really do add perfectly to the ambiance. However, I think it’s the service and the welcome that really make the place. Lone Star has some fantastic people working there and ensuring the best service. Tamisha is one of those individuals - warm, attentive, patient & a brilliant energy - knew her stuff and made us feel incredibly welcome. Lucky Lone Star! Thank you.

Very elegant atmosphere, beautifully located on the beach. The food was good to very good, but also very expensive—about 15% overpriced. The waiter seemed more occupied with himself than with our table. In the evening, he came across as arrogant. During the day at lunch, the waiters were more relaxed and friendlier.

Beautiful, chic beach front restaurant, great atmosphere, great view, tasty food. Fab cocktails and wine list. Dress to impress even if it isn’t after 5pm when a dress code rule applies. Arrive early for your booking and enjoy a cocktail in the bar area. The restaurant area is much bigger than it looks initially, stretching along the beach front. The service is at a leisurely Barbadian pace…..enjoy the view and relish the fact you don’t have a time restriction on your table!!

Dinner was superb. Market fish and fish stew. Really well cooked. Great atmosphere as always. Drinks in bar afterwards. Service was excellent. Feel for the staff in the engineering overalls and the heat!

Loved dinner here the other night. Beautiful beachside view. We had the kale and goats cheese salad which was presented well and delicious. Husband had the sea bass and I had the zucchini eggplant cannelloni which was not what I expected but delicious and one of the best vegetarian meals I’ve had on the island. Not sure why it’s got 4 random pieces of tofu though - that’s not going to give me enough protein and doesn’t add anything to the dish. The meringue dessert was amazing! I’ll be dreaming of that for a long time! The service was very good. The only one thing that spoils the whole vibe is the servers uniform - is it a prison outfit?! Pls pls pls management change the uniform to something more classier and flattering that goes with the beautiful vibe of the restaurant!!!
