Lone Star Restaurant & Hotel

Went for dinner. Second time in a year. Food is interesting and most dishes are among the best on the island. Ambience and view are great. Cocktails are OK. Crab cake appetizer is a bit lacking in crab and a pass next time. The catch of the day was beautifully plated and cooked to perfection. Lamb rack was also cooked to our liking. Service is ok and probably fairly consistent for Barbados but as it is one of the priciest restaurants on the island I think the service needs improvement. I think there’s a lot of staff but no individual overseeing or in charge of the table.

Great location on the beach, perfect for a sunset drink. Very good food but small portions. I had the rack of lamb and received only 3 chops! The salads are good and fresh. The coconut shrimp are excellent. The swordfish cooked perfectly.

Best on the island for sure, best meal we had, prices are fair what your given, staff were top notch would be going back if I return to Barbados! Very comfortable very beautiful, no complaints what’s so ever. Every dish we had was plated beautifully and had tons of flavour 5 Stars

Review for the restaurant only. Beautiful place to eat, great tasty food, happy staff. Only issue was a 30 minute delay to get our table which spoilt the experience a little. Overall loved the setting and would certainly return

We've been there with friends for a sundowner. After serving our drinks, the waiter was not seen anymore. We would have appreciated if he came again checking on our glasses and pouring more wine. This is not the service we expected from such a high priced restaurant. Even the restaurant manager (not sure if she is the manager but acted like one) came up with a lame " the people drinking at the beach want to chill and not being annoyed...". On the invoice was a position "bread $ 0,00". We asked if we were supposed to get some bread with the drinks - but she denied. I doubt that you normally don't get something to snack on with your drinks in such a high class restaurant. We had a dinner reservation for two days later and canceled it. Don't want to spend a fortune for poor service. We always liked to go to the Lone Star - but there are definitely other restaurants we can visit.

So this review is for the restaurant only! I first came here 20 years ago and it was te for a revisit! We arrived a later early for lunch and paeked across the street in there car park. You can really appreciate the setting here in the day time, its stunning! On to the starters, crab cakes delicious, nice Calamari. Mains was a excellent medium rare beef burger as requested and a lovely chicken pasta. Now we did have a pizza with a base more like a flat bread which was a little disappointing but nice flavour. Dessert was a sticky toffee pud, cheesecake and birthday cake all of which wherever good. Working out about £100 each which includes a bottle of wine and a cocktail. Staff are polite, professional and attentive here. The foods excellent and Scenery fantastic so id definitely recommend popping in for a spot of lunch

One of the better spots on the island for service. We went for lunch and enjoyed fresh seafood and salads with stunning views. Atmosphere is superb. Definitely pricey, but worth experiencing at least once.

Early April I stayed a week at the Lone Star Hotel and it was nothing short of extraordinary. The warmth and attentiveness of the entire staff created the perfect backdrop for a truly unforgettable moment—getting engaged in the crystal clear Caribbean ocean. An experience I will cherish forever. ❤️
