Lone Star Restaurant & Hotel

This was my 3rd dinner at Lonestar. I brought a guest and was excited to share with her the Lonestar experience. This Sunday night we had an unfortunate incident. We were having a wonderful evening until a staff member approached us at our table. No introduction. He said your table is booked for another reservation and you have to leave. We were aware of the 2 hour window however the server was not in any rush to have us conclude our dinner. In fact we had just ordered after dinner drinks. We were stunned at the rude behaviour and stated we didn’t have our bill yet. He said you have 2 options. Move to the bar or leave. In a stern and condescending voice, he said “which will it be?” We said we would move to the bar. Then there was no effort to carry our drinks or assist us in moving. We were very upset and asked for the manager. She said the server will never offer to get the bill and gave a very weak apology. The dinner was very expensive and we left feeling horrible. We will never return. The whole situation could have been dealt with in a more customer friendly way. We were never opposed to relocating, It was the tone and harsh way that the situation was handled. We were very disappointed.

Had a great meal last night and just wanted to pass on comments. It costs a lot to eat here but it is worth every dollar. Our food, wine and g&t’s were exquisite but what made it even better, was the fun, professional staff. Omar and Niaomi were just THE best and we ended with hugs all round. Thank you and see you again . My third visit and it just gets better!

A great restaurant on the beach. I had the sea bass with mushroom risotto for main and pina colada cheese cake. Both were gorgeous. Not big portions, but beautifully balanced. The waiting staff were superb - attentive, professional and friendly. Book well in advance of your visit ie months.

Went for dinner. Second time in a year. Food is interesting and most dishes are among the best on the island. Ambience and view are great. Cocktails are OK. Crab cake appetizer is a bit lacking in crab and a pass next time. The catch of the day was beautifully plated and cooked to perfection. Lamb rack was also cooked to our liking. Service is ok and probably fairly consistent for Barbados but as it is one of the priciest restaurants on the island I think the service needs improvement. I think there’s a lot of staff but no individual overseeing or in charge of the table.

One of most amazing experiences we ever had! The sea view is unreal, it’s worth to go just for that. We had a lunch that was well served, shout out to all staff! We will return for sure.

We booked this restaurant 2weeks ago for myself and my wife. Although there were other vacant tables the waitress seated us in the corner next to the beach and on a table for 4 where we were sat side by side. I asked the waitress if we could be moved and was told that the other tables were booked and we had to sit there. I asked for the supervisor who said the same when I asked about the vacant tables I was told they were for other guests!!! So we had awful table and either accept it of wait 3 hours for their second sitting. I chose to leave and tbh she didn’t care. The arrogance and lack of respect shown tells me that this restaurant is getting a little too full of itself. We left very disappointed and even made to pay for our two over priced cocktails 80 b$! I won’t be returning and advise that you check where they try to sit you. We felt we were sitting at a staff table not a quality restaurant. If I could give less than 1 star I would. Disgusting customer service

Great location on the beach, perfect for a sunset drink. Very good food but small portions. I had the rack of lamb and received only 3 chops! The salads are good and fresh. The coconut shrimp are excellent. The swordfish cooked perfectly.

Best on the island for sure, best meal we had, prices are fair what your given, staff were top notch would be going back if I return to Barbados! Very comfortable very beautiful, no complaints what’s so ever. Every dish we had was plated beautifully and had tons of flavour 5 Stars
