"Gold One of the most fascinating aspects of the BVI for beachgoers is the sheer array of sandy shores to explore. On Jost Van Dyke, the sand at White Bay skews more toward the white-gold end of the spectrum and gives way like piles of sugar beneath your bare feet. Hit the Soggy Dollar Bar to try the iconic Painkiller (a mix of rum, orange, and pineapple juices and cream of coconut, sprinkled with freshly grated nutmeg) in the place where it was invented. Just around the headland on the beach at Great Harbour, the sand skews slightly more golden, and the famed Foxy’s Tamarind Bar, another classic BVI watering hole, beckons. And for the most diamond bright, sugar-spun sands in the islands, make your way to Anegada, the northern and easternmost island in the BVI. Here, Cow Wreck Beach is a calm stretch with one mellow bar and a gentle slope of white sand leading to the water’s edge. On the far eastern end of Anegada, Loblolly Bay lures with an enticing crescent strand and a beach bar called Big Bamboo that serves up a mean piña colada, best enjoyed with a plate of conch fritters. Lovely beach! Very carribean with the vibes and music, food and drink shacks, nice bathrooms big enough for changing clothes, and friendly & kind staff. We taxied from the cruise port, it was about a 30 minute drive. When we arrived we were greeted by a nice girl who led us to some lounge chairs with an umbrella. She gave us complimentary water bottles with ice cups. They have lots of food and drinks available for purchase as well. We brought our floaties and were in the water for a long time! The water drops off fairly quickly, about 7 feet of touchable ground before it gets really deep. Water was refreshing, not too cold at all. It felt nice under the hot sun. Would recommend 10/10!

Nice beach to spend a couple of hours on. We visited Long Bay Beach in December 2024, and hired a couple of sunbeds ($10 each) and an umbrella ($5 each). We enjoyed an authentic Rum Punch or two ($9 each) from Moose On the Beach, and had a swim in the aquamarine water. There are clean, and free-to-use toilets and showers. Overall a good place to visit and would recommend.

Wonderful excursion. Gorgeous beach, so nice. Uncrowded, undeveloped. A few beach bar / shop structures. There was some construction going on adjacent to the minimal structure already. The beach is supported by a brick and mortar purpose built restroom, a pleasant surprise. Four rooms each, nearby shower to rinse off the sand. Super good, looking forward to coming back!

What a fantastic beach. There were maybe a couple of other people there when we arrived. Great sand, good for snorkling, great for a pretty nice and long walk.

Easy access, beautiful views, good facilities.
There are two long bay beach locations on Tortola, which is sort of perplexing. They could’ve called them something different. Haha
Long Bay Beach West & Long Bay Beach Beef island go figure.

What an amazing experience, just around the corner from the airport you stumble into a piece of paradise. Clear blue waters, a small handful of temporary bars, ample clean toilets, sun loungers and peace and tranquility. Parking is plenty. On the weekend cruise ship tour busses stop through here - if on a weekday visit expect minimal company! Some tree line to provide shade, and a bit to see if snorkelling too.

What a stunning beach. Insanely clear water, plenty of space and seating. There is a nice little bar and grill, with very nice seating under some trees. The staff was very friendly. Will comeback!
