"Gold One of the most fascinating aspects of the BVI for beachgoers is the sheer array of sandy shores to explore. On Jost Van Dyke, the sand at White Bay skews more toward the white-gold end of the spectrum and gives way like piles of sugar beneath your bare feet. Hit the Soggy Dollar Bar to try the iconic Painkiller (a mix of rum, orange, and pineapple juices and cream of coconut, sprinkled with freshly grated nutmeg) in the place where it was invented. Just around the headland on the beach at Great Harbour, the sand skews slightly more golden, and the famed Foxy’s Tamarind Bar, another classic BVI watering hole, beckons. And for the most diamond bright, sugar-spun sands in the islands, make your way to Anegada, the northern and easternmost island in the BVI. Here, Cow Wreck Beach is a calm stretch with one mellow bar and a gentle slope of white sand leading to the water’s edge. On the far eastern end of Anegada, Loblolly Bay lures with an enticing crescent strand and a beach bar called Big Bamboo that serves up a mean piña colada, best enjoyed with a plate of conch fritters. NOT for KIDS. This beach we visited on a public holiday. It was very quiet...not a lot of people at all...most of the beach bars were closed also..including moose on the beach. The beach chairs and umbrella seems to be free, with a suggestion that you patronize one of the beach bars. I had myself a delicious blue Hawaiian at Island boy beach shack-(thanks Clivie👍🏾) The beach itself is beautiful turquoise water but this beach is NOT for children. There's a VERY steep drop off about 2 ft from the shore where the waves break. That turquoise water you see is VERY deep...easily over 6ft. So if you cant swim or thread water.. my suggestion is that you bathe on the sand. The steep drop off causes a very STRONG undercurrent that drags you in when the waves break....so please be AWARE! there are no lifeguards here. The sand is quite soft though and there's lots of seashells to be found.my kids spend all the time bathing on the sand because the waves were too strong. There's some noise also from the nearby airport when planes take off so if your kids have sensory issues -headphones would be good to use. The good thing is the airport isn't too busy. The beach facilities, though, are nice. Good shower and the bathrooms/toilets were clean and had tissue paper. There's footwash pipes outside the showers and that's always a nice plus.

We took an open air vehicle tour from the dock area across the island. One of the stops was Long Bay Beach on Beef Island. We stayed about 30 minutes to enjoy the beautiful views over the beach. Had a beer at the restaurant bar overlooking the beach. Lots of colorful umbrellas and lounge chairs.

The beach is on Beef Island near the airport. Hard to say how long it would take to get there because the road was under construction, probably about a 20-30 minute drive from town and cruise port. Not the prettiest beach on the island but very nice. It was covered in lounge chairs and umbrellas for rent. There's a small restaurant, a bar a souvenir tent and mice clean washroom/change rooms. Leave yourself extra time to get back, traffic was very heavy when we returned around noon.

Lovely beach! Very carribean with the vibes and music, food and drink shacks, nice bathrooms big enough for changing clothes, and friendly & kind staff. We taxied from the cruise port, it was about a 30 minute drive. When we arrived we were greeted by a nice girl who led us to some lounge chairs with an umbrella. She gave us complimentary water bottles with ice cups. They have lots of food and drinks available for purchase as well. We brought our floaties and were in the water for a long time! The water drops off fairly quickly, about 7 feet of touchable ground before it gets really deep. Water was refreshing, not too cold at all. It felt nice under the hot sun. Would recommend 10/10!

Wonderful excursion. Gorgeous beach, so nice. Uncrowded, undeveloped. A few beach bar / shop structures. There was some construction going on adjacent to the minimal structure already. The beach is supported by a brick and mortar purpose built restroom, a pleasant surprise. Four rooms each, nearby shower to rinse off the sand. Super good, looking forward to coming back!

What a stunning beach. Insanely clear water, plenty of space and seating. There is a nice little bar and grill, with very nice seating under some trees. The staff was very friendly. Will comeback!

Easy access, beautiful views, good facilities. There are two long bay beach locations on Tortola, which is sort of perplexing. They could’ve called them something different. Haha Long Bay Beach West & Long Bay Beach Beef island go figure.

What a fantastic beach. There were maybe a couple of other people there when we arrived. Great sand, good for snorkling, great for a pretty nice and long walk.
