"Sample Sugar-Sweet Long Bay Beach Before the Crowds No guide to Antigua 's beaches would be complete without including Long Bay Beach. Unquestionably, it's one of the island's finest beaches. The sand is almost blindingly white, like someone poured out a billion sugar shakers. The water is exceptionally clear and calm, especially at the eastern end where even toddlers could safely roam the shoreline without the fear of being barreled over by waves. There's even good snorkeling near the beach's reef, which you can actually walk out to! So, why don't I love Long Bay Beach? Well, it can get a bit busy for my taste. There's several restaurants including Mama Pastas, resorts including Grand Pineapple, and even a clutch of tiny shops selling local goods. So, if you're like me, get here as early as possible. Maybe go for a morning run on the impressive sand. Then move on as the masses begin to descend."

Long Bay Beach is a breathtaking Caribbean paradise with crystal-clear turquoise waters, soft white sand, and a laid-back atmosphere. Located on the eastern coast of Antigua, this beach is perfect for swimming, relaxing, and soaking in the natural beauty of the island. The water is calm and shallow, making it ideal for families and casual swimmers. The clarity of the water is incredible—you can see schools of small fish swimming right beneath you! It’s also a great spot for snorkeling, as the nearby reefs are teeming with marine life. The beach itself is spacious and clean, with plenty of room to stretch out and enjoy the sun. There are a few local vendors and beachside restaurants nearby where you can grab a drink or a bite to eat, adding to the charm of the experience. One of the highlights of Long Bay Beach is its peaceful and unspoiled feel. While it’s a popular spot, it never feels overcrowded, making it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the stunning surroundings. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing beach day, a snorkeling adventure, or just a scenic escape, Long Bay Beach is a must-visit in Antigua. Highly recommended for its beauty, tranquility, and crystal-clear waters!

This is one of the most prettiest warmest cleanest beaches I've visited here and elsewhere. The water was perfect to swim or relax. There are bars with food and drinks close by. Nice area to enjoy the island.

Beautiful beach. Soft sand. Calm waters. Great for children and folks who don't like waves.

This was a fun beach. We visited mainly for snorkeling but found the water to be quite difficult to see through. Perhaps it was just bad luck. We prefer Half Moon Bay for snorkeling on the far left side where the water is calm and very clear. Other than the snorkeling this was a lovely beach with white/pink sand. On the beach there is a small shop for ice cream and drinks. There are also some small shops for gift etc.

We took a taxi from St John’s Cruise terminal. The Taxi cost $80 return and it took around 35 minutes to get there. The Sun Loungers at the beach cost $20 for two with a beach umbrella. The ice creams were $3. The beach itself is clean with power-soft sand. The reef is close to the beach so it is a great spot for snorkelling. Great fun and relaxing. Highly recommended.
