14 Best Beaches in Thailand

"Visitors to this Thai island have skyrocketed in the past decade. A popular destination for digital nomads, Long Beach is made for long walks on the beach. There’s plenty to see along its shores, from easygoing bars to wooden bungalows and seafood shacks. Just remember to bring a hat and take frequent dips; there’s very little shade here." - Katie Lockhart Katie Lockhart Katie is a freelance travel and food journalist specializing in luxury brands and hotels. The Long Beach is a very beautiful long stretch of beach on Koh Lanta, which is quite busy in the northern part and where many hotels and restaurants are located and the further south you go, the quieter it becomes with some private villas and smaller sections without direct buildings. Both corners have their charm. You can't really swim in the very south because of the many stones, but you can swim after about 300 metres from the south. The beach has an exposed location for sunsets. The restaurants offer different types of food and there are both low and high budget restaurants. You have to take a closer look at the sunbeds on the beach. The hotel sunbeds are of course only for hotel guests, but you can also get a sunbed in front of the restaurants as a non-hotel guest if you eat something. Of course, this also applies to the restaurants without a hotel connection. For us, this is the most beautiful beach we have seen on Koh Lanta.

Long Beach is aptly named, stretching out beautifully along the coast. The southern part of the beach offers a more tranquil experience. The sand is fine and the water is clean, making it an ideal spot to relax and enjoy the sun.

A very peaceful and wonderful beach away from the tourist crowd with lots of affordable resorts nearby. I spent everyday of my 2 weeks holiday on Lanta there and it’s been the best unplug I could ever wish for. Top for sunbathing, chilling and swimming. Sand, no rocks 🪨

This beach is the best in Koh Lanta . Sea is deep and clean . No mosquitos at sunset. And suitable for children and young people. You canım play voleyball and rent kayaks from Shops around. So much bars and restaurants .

Such a beautiful beach, I throughly enjoyed my day here today. Lovely sand, clear water and lots of restaurants/bars to pick to have some lovely lunch. Was nice and clean and plenty of shady spots. Did spot a jelly fish in the water though fyi

There are many bars and restaurants, and the beach sand is good. The area around the resorts is kept clean, but if you venture further from them, you'll encounter a lot of litter. The water was pleasant, although there were quite a few plastic items floating around. Good spot for sunset.

Beautiful relaxing beach in Koh Lanta, lots of restaurants and beach bars all the way along… very chilled out atmosphere, amazing white sand and calm water. Be warned jellyfish do come up to shore and can be seen quite visibly throughout the day. If you are in the area I’d highly advise to visit this beach as it is a tranquil setting not to be missed out on and has the most beautiful sunsets.
