Excellent 3 night stay at long hostel in a quiet small street tucked away from the bustle and noise from district 1. The rooms are comfortable and clean, setup with an AC unit, private and clean bathroom, warm shower and they've paid attention to every little detail in the room. Great free breakfast with a choice of drink, which is excellent! The staff and the family are very kind, helpful and always available. The common areas are a little small, don't expect a big atmosphere and to meet many people as it's not setup for this.

Loved staying at Long hostel! Extremely convenient location. Rooms are standard/basic but clean and get the job done! They also do not provide towels. The breakfast was the most remarkable part of our stay. The banana pancakes were genuinely life changing. The aunties that run this place are very sweet! Perfect stay for travelers on a budget!

A wonderful place to stay! My favourite stay during my 3 months of travelling! The Owners: I have to start off by saying Ms. Cam is THE loveliest woman! When I arrived as I was checking in, she made me aware that the AC was not working in my room and therefore, she booked me into the neighbouring hotel for 1 night whilst it was fixed. I really tried to pay her the excess amount of money the other hotel cost, but she insisted on paying for it herself. How unbelievably sweet! When I came back the next day, the AC was fixed, and I was delighted to find that I had a gorgeous room! I also needed some documents printing for my flight, and she printed them for me without charge. Her family are also so lovely too, and helped to make the hostel feel warm and inviting. The Room: The private room offered everything I needed in terms of amenities. It was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Something that stuck out to me more than anything was the decoration. During my travels, something I noticed a lot of hostels lacked was decor. You can tell that Ms Cam treats the hostel as her home, and took the time to decorate each room in an inviting manor. When your thousands of miles away from your home, little touches like this make all the difference. The room also had a really cool light built into the ceiling which gave some chilled ambience to the room at night. Not only was my room nicely decorated, but the rest of the hostel too. Even the stairs and hallways. The Food: The FREE breakfasts were by far the yummiest breakfasts I had at any hostel. You MUST try the banana pancakes. Life changing! The Location: Such a good location. Easy to walk anywhere or get a Grab. The hostel is on a little alley way shared by a number of other hostels. This alley way means that since you're not directly onto a road, getting to sleep at night is a breeze. Walking street is right on your doorstep as well as so many restaurants and cafes. There's also a 711 and a cashpoint just 5 minutes away. I stayed at Long Hostel for a week in total. It was the last place I stayed at during my travels, and I'm glad to have ended my trip on such a high! Thank you Ms. Cam!

Overall good stay, just few notes: the room was not properly cleaned (mug dirty from coffee after previous guest, empty roll of toilet paper, etc.). The shower is cold only and the pressure is not working well. There was a reconstruction (decided to build a door into the next building) right next to my room everyday going from morning to late evening (which sucks when you book the private room to have meetings). The staff was not friendly at first, it got better overtime.

Long Hostel is a cozy and welcoming place to stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the free breakfast is simple but tasty. The owner and family are very friendly and always ready to help with anything you need. The location is great—just a short walk to Bui Vien Walking Street and close to many travel agencies, restaurants, and nightlife spots. We stayed for two days and really enjoyed the warm atmosphere and convenient location.

The hostel is very nice and clean to stay. The breakfast is free and delicious. The family members of the owner are also nice and helpful to the guests. The location is also very close to several tourist attraction sites like Bui Vien Walking Street. We stayed there for about one and a half months and it was worth spending time there.

Our family stayed in this hostel for a week, it was our first time in HCMC and thanked God, it was worth it. The owner and her kids were approachable and easy to communicate with and they are willing to suggest good places to eat-when you ask them. - They also have free breakfast in the morning (7am-10am). - Hot and Cold showers are also available. - Amenities: shampoo, shower gel and toothbrush/toothpaste.

I cannot comment on the rooms as I didn’t actually stay here. But I’m traveling as a solo female and I’ve never been overseas before, unfortunately had a fake driver try to scam me. I went to the Long Hostel visible upset and explained what happened to me. The amazing guy at reception saw how much distress I was in, sat me down, gave me a water and told me to take some deep breaths and I could sit there as long as I needed to. His kindness and compassion was absolutely amazing! He even helped me find the location I was trying to get to. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for this ❤️
