Please beware of this place if you have children. The people who “have been coming here for years and come every year” will absolutely run you off. They want silence by the pool and will expect your children to stand still in the pool. You may not think this is the motels fault, but it 100% is. They have catered to these people, and these people act like they own the place. We had two terrible encounters with elderly guests who called our children names and called them disrespectful because they accidentally got two drops of water splashed on them. Our children are not mean or disrespectful or awful and I promise I am not just saying that. Mind you, we kept our children at the beach from 9am-4pm so these people could enjoy their pool time. They were at the pool when we went to the beach and still there when we came back from the beach, but they absolutely hated us letting our children get into the pool while they just stood there drinking their alcohol acting like they owned the place. However, these people did have children with them and when they were throwing the football with their dad and jumping in and what not, we seriously did not care. That’s what kids do, just our kids weren’t allowed to according to these people. We talked to the owner of the motel and ended up choosing to leave because we wanted our kids to enjoy their vacation and be able to swim. The owner talked to the trouble family that he knew so very well and they were “nice people”. These “nice people” never told him how they acted or what they had done. In the end, my family has been coming to this motel since the 80s and that doesn’t give me a single right to act like these people did, but I will say… this very elderly generation the owner caters to, will soon die off, and his business will go under. He has caused these people to run off the younger generation, and these people will one day no longer be here and he will be standing there with empty rooms wondering what happened. Also, the owner accused me of not turning in my key, and I turned it in when we told him we were leaving. Hopefully he checked the cameras because I am not a liar. He did claim he would have to call a locksmith and that would cost him money, but I think he forgot how many years I have been coming there… I am very observant.. there were two extra keys to my room hanging on the side of the desk where all the other keys were. I think he also forgot there’s a cleaning lady who comes every day and I’d assume she’d have a key… because she cleaned our room while we were there… but none of that matters because I know I turned in my key. He just wanted to try to charge us money since we left early from our stay. He was kind enough the one single time to offer us our money back for the rest of the week. We were supposed to stay a week, but because of the hateful people, we only stayed 3 nights. I will say, even though he did give our money back, it wasn’t without making us feel like it was our fault he offered to give it back. It was weird. He offered, we accepted, then he began to tell us it isn’t about the money but how he could’ve rented the place for the 4 extra days. Which seems like money to me. I am also fully aware that the owner is active on his reviews, so I know he will say something back, so be careful in listening to whatever it is he may say because I don’t have much faith in someone who “needed to call a locksmith” for rooms he has multiple keys to. I hate that the place I loved growing up in, is now a place I will never return.

What a gem! This is everything you need at a reasonable price. It's just a few minutes walk to the very expensive and famous Don CeSar. It is auch a beautiful little resort without having to take an elevator up numerous flights. There was a good size fridge/freezer in the kitchenette area. Nice pool on the beautiful beach. Yes, it is a bit older but clean and well-maintained. I would stay here again and I think that is a theme for this play...repeat stays annually.

Absolutely cannot say enough good things about this place. Rooms were clean & spacious. The overlook tower was an amazing touch! Has two upper levels and much space for multiple people with intimate settings. Waffle house is 2 minutes down the road for a quick easy breakfast. Lived in Florida my entire live. I've been to treasure Island & st.pete multiple times & just discovered this place. Would love to keep this one to myself but I'll share with you all. If you're thinking of booking this place don't give it a second thought. Love love love it! Definitely coming again!!!

We checked in around 4pm on Friday. There was a crew there installing gutters. The toilet flushed once then wouldn't fill until I wiggled the float. I had to do that twice. After going to the beach took a shower, and the shower handle fell off. Tried to watch tv and the remote batteries were weak so we had to get close to the tv to change the channel. The dead bolt wouldn't lock from outside. The front windows wouldnt latch. The pop machine took a dollar then wouldn't take another or dispence the pop. I decided to go to the office to let them no about are issues and it was locked for the night, a half hour before the posted time. When I got back to the room the gutter guys were hammering outside are room. So my wife and I packed up to go home. My wife stopped at the emergency phone to let them know we were checking out and what we should do with the key. When she opened the cover on the phone wasps came out.

I'm still fuming about my experience with Roman in customer service. He was utterly condescending and rude, showing zero interest in helping me. I've never encountered such unprofessional behavior from someone supposed to assist customers. His attitude was completely unacceptable.

This is a not so hidden gem on St Pete beach. Most of my family stay here over a holiday weekend and it is just fantastic. We are there for 4 nights and never have to leave. All rooms have kitchens with fridges. If there is a vacancy, take it. You shouldn’t be disappointed.

I don't even want to leave a review because I don't want to share this place with anyone else. This is a great spot for sure. Based on our experience it probably isn't the best spot with younger kids especially at this section of the beach. The beach was empty during Mother's day weekend so it was peaceful and we saw dolohins. The hotel has a nice pool and viewing deck and a mini library with a large variety of books to read while you're there. The rooms were cleaned thoroughly and the staff was very friendly.

Yelp
Long Key is a great little mom and pop motel. Located right on the beach with a nice courtyard area and pool, and look out tower. Water feature in the pool, shuffle board, bean bag toss game. Short tide to bars and restaurants too. Roman the owners is very nice. Rooms are clean, no bugs. We definitely would come back again. Thanks Roman!

Yelp
There are four reasons you'd stay here; it's a small family owned and operated business, it's inexpensive compared to other beachfront options, the rooms are clean, and much of the year they will take one night bookings while many other hotels on the beach will not. That's about it for the positives. It is a VERY dated hotel so if you like fresh and new, look at the 2014-opened Hotel Zamora a hundred yards down Gulf Blvd, however it is not beachfront, so that's its huge problem. The rooms here you can tell have seen some better years with patches and paint easily spotted on the walls. The appliances in the kitchenette are very old but perfectly functional if you want to enjoy a week on the beach without the expense of going to restaurants for every meal. If you're wanting to catch a football game on TV, better to visit a bar because the rooms still have old school tube televisions. The front desk is not staffed 24x7, so there are restrictions on check in and check out times to keep in mind. My only real complaint about this place is security. The room I stayed in had broken locks on at least two of the windows making it impossible to lock them. The door locks still use traditional keys, so who knows if someone has copied yours in the past. The rooms on the south side of the property (not sure about the north side) have a sidewalk area and second door on that back side exiting from the bedroom; it would be easy for someone to break into the room from that site without it being very obvious. So if you have some true valuables, you probably won't feel comfortable leaving them in the room. I'm not sure if the front desk has some more secure method of storing items for guests.

Yelp
This resort is a best kept secret! The fresh juices they make on site for ot $4 are truly fabulous. The beaches are some of the best in the world. The service is sublime. Corissa and Jonathan in members services were gracious to help me to print, scan and email needed business documents. Complimentary bikes and other services are top notch.

Yelp
I've stayed here the last 3 years...old motel turned into longer term style rooms. Each has at least a living room dining area and kitchenette with full size fridge. There are larger suites as well. Right on the beach...walking distance to various places to eat. Bedding is like a days inn...but....it's clean and comfortable and very affordable!

Yelp
Stayed one night in this place and had a pretty great experience for the price. The rooms are a little dated, but they keep them very, very clean. The property is also very clean and well maintained by the owners. I would def stay here again!

Yelp
We found this gem by luck as we walked in on a Sunday night. It is located right on St. Pete's Beach. Not crowded. Quiet. Relaxing. Older folks, couples, & our family was the crowd when we were there in Jan. Everyone was nice. Owner was on-sight & really great to our family. There's a cool triple level wood deck that allows you to get sunshine no matter the time of day, if you are in the top deck. Pool is nice. Shuffle board is fun. Rooms comfortable with kitchen, cable, net, queen bed, and clean. We had room #15. There is a bar/restaurant just next door. Parking is right out front & close. Really great price at $85/night. We were planning to stay in Saint Pete's Beach for just two nights but ended up staying four! I'll be back if we are in the area & recommend to friends.

Yelp
I love this place. It is well kept with a very nice garden area in the center. The pool area is also very nice with lots of seating. The eat part is that it's right on the beach. It is family owned and cheap which makes it a perfect place to stay.

Yelp
I stayed here with my 14 month old, so I was hoping for very clean, family friendly, QUIET, and great service. I received all of these (the unit was spotless and I couldn't hear my neighbors!) in addition to an amazing location and a good price. One of the perks of staying at a small resort is that the beach front and pool area were not crowded and the owners were present, taking personal care of guests and their place. I've never stayed at a place with such friendly guests. I found out most had been coming for years, which is just another sign of a quality place. I enjoyed the view from the top of their large, multi-level deck and saw many guests enjoying the grill and eating area next to the pool. My only disappoints were: the wireless kept disconnecting so it was hard to Skype with my husband, they don't recycle, and the very heavy picture tube TV was on an old, wobbly stand that was way too narrow for the TV base. I set the TV on the floor so it couldn't fall on my son if he touched it. I'm confident, had I asked, they would have removed the TV. I am surprised with the amount of families that stay here, though, they don't find this a safety issue. Overall, it was truly lovely experience! I recommend this place and hope to stay here again.
