Long Mountain Lodge Bed and Breakfast Inn

I always have a fantastic time when I’m at Long Mountain Lodge. So much so that I’ve come back 4 years in a row. I highly recommend giving this place a try. I go in both March and September for cycling races, and I stay the week of to work and train from here, plus explore the many, many waterfalls and trails that are so incredibly close!! Don will take you out, and he knows all the best spots!! They also make the best breakfasts. I look forward to coming here every single time, and I drive a good 7 hours from South Mississippi. It is worth it 20X over :). They make you feel like family, and I just always feel very safe here.

My best friend and I had a wonderful weekend trip. Don was a wonderful host, superb breakfast cook, and very knowledgeable and helpful about the local area and things to do. I loved the lodge and enjoyed sitting on the porch every morning looking at the beautiful Mountain view drinking hot tea. The bed was comfortable and I would definitely return if I come to Dahlonega again.

Loved our stay for 3 nights at Long Mountain Lodge. Roomy accommodations with a comfy bed. Great mountain views from our room. Beautiful sunsets too. Yummy breakfast and loved the cookies and brownies. Staff very welcoming and gave some good tips for things to do. Close to wineries, waterfalls and downtown Dahlonega. A very relaxing atmosphere.

We were greeted by Don upon our arrival. Water, tea, popcorn, coffee, sweets, charcuterie were out for us to enjoy while we were there. The Mountain views were beautiful esp the sunsets. Our room was clean and very roomy for the two of us. As an older couple, we loved the idea of a nightlight in our bathroom so that we could see at night. Breakfasts were freshly made and delicious. Don sells various goods that are made locally by people living near the inn. The inn is secluded but still in a good location to get around.

Positive: Nice view, breakfast 1st day was good.||Cons: Room was not clean and had an odor, bathtub jets didn’t work, wasn’t allowed to walk property, room needs to be updated, wanted to enjoy breakfast in peace but he wouldn’t stop talking and wanted to sit next to us asking about our itinerary both days. We understood he wanted to be nice but it was too intrusive. He’s also extremely sarcastic. Just not an enjoyable visit for our anniversary.||There is a reason pictures of the rooms and lodge are not posted.

My husband and I have been going to this B&B for around 12 year now. We LOVE this B&B. We especially like Don who runs the inn! He’s so helpful if you ever have any questions! He will lend you hiking sticks and has medical supplies and always recommends the best hiking trails! We always enjoy the breakfast when we get to spend time with the employees and other guests. I especially appreciate the wood burning fireplaces in each room. I would highly recommend this B&B!

I so enjoyed drinking coffee on the back porch. The view was breathtaking. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful. Our room was large and felt so cozy. I loved all the crafts & local honey they had available for purchase. My only regret is not staying longer.

I love this place! The staff is super friendly, helpful, & accommodating. The rooms are neat, clean, & decorated nicely. The beds are comfortable, the food is amazing, they support local artists and the views are absolutely breathtaking taking! I love how it makes you feel at home more than at a hotel.
