We have been here several times and it only gets better! Beautiful views from every room and all rooms have an area outside the room to sit outdoors to enjoy it. The manager, Don, does everything he can to ensure that all guests have all they could need or want. Breakfasts (included) are a “don’t miss”. Might be thick Belgian waffles with a fruit muffin, bacon and assorted fruit cup or eggs scrambled with cream cheese plus cut up fruits over vanilla greek yogurt and sausages and a different muffin or…. Well you get the idea. The original owners (Don’s inlaws) wrote a cookbook with recipes that Don still uses. (The book is for sale at the Lodge.) The second owners have retained all that was great originally and updated a bit with some excellent new furniture and more. Now to the rooms. There are 6 of them. Most have fireplaces. Each room is great. Only real difference is room size. Ours had a comfy loveseat with extendable footrests, a small table and chairs, one of their comfiest beds we have ever enjoyed anywhere, a bathroom with a jetted tub and a stall shower, a fridge, a tv, and more. The dining room has various treats (muffins, popcorn, cookies, and more) plus teas, coffee, ice, soft drinks, water, and more. Plus take a few minutes to “shop” their items made by locals. All money paid for items in that area go totally to the folks who made them, not a penny to the Lodge. Back to the manager, Don is an awesome source for directions (trust him, there are roads in the area that you do NOT want to take), places to go in the area, plus has great stories of places near and far. You can’t go wrong staying here. We will be back (again)!
