Had a pretty cool stay here overall. Things started off a bit rocky, but to their credit, the staff made up for it and handled the situation well. The vibe is chilled, well situated & met some cool people. Heads-up, if you're a light sleeper, definitely bring earplugs. Otherwise, solid spot.

I lived in Cape Town central for over 4 years, but it wasn’t until I stayed at my first backpackers that I truly got to experience the city in a whole new way. Discovering Long Street Backpackers was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. From their incredible daily activities and welcoming staff to the vibrant bar and cozy communal spaces, everything about it was unforgettable. I met so many amazing, like-minded people and saw a side of Cape Town I hadn’t before. I can’t recommend this hostel enough to anyone wanting an authentic and memorable experience. I can't wait to go back!!! Thank you all at LSB fam ❤️

Loved my stay here, rooms were very clean, walking distance to most tourist spot, lots of good options, staff was also great and helpful, even tho I am not a party person, I still enjoyed the noise during the night and definitely staying here on my next visit to Capetown

Thank you for such a wonderful time and for everything you do to promote South Africa as we build our African nations. As part of my work, I often enjoy connecting with the backpacking community. It offers a valuable insight into the progress of tourism, perceptions of safety and security, and wider perspectives on cultures and human freedoms. With all my heart, soul, and friendship to you all!

Amazing stay at LSB! The staff is so welcoming and friendly. They're always ready to help with a smile. The hostel is very central, a bit hectic, but that's the true hostel life:) You'll get to meet lots of people from all over the world. The hostel organizes daily activities too that you can join. Highly recommended!

Great location, super friendly staff. Rooms are tidy and the activities are super fun. A bit noisy from the surrounding clubs and bars but that is what you pay for when you rent a room on Longstreet. Overall great value for money! Will definitely be visiting again.

Think twice if you decide to book this place. This is a «party hostel» where the music is so loud that the walls shake. Sleeping outside in the street will be much safer and quieter, because non-resident people who want to touch you can get into this territory. When you ask staff how to sleep and live in this place, they just makes innocent looks and offers to move you to the next room, where it's just as noisy. Also cockroaches everywhere. Worst place I have ever been.

This is a classic social hostel with super friendly staff. Great place to meet and socialize with fellow travelers. Clean rooms and common spaces. Again, can’t say enough about the staff (and volunteers), they make the vibe what it is. It’s in a nightclub district and the bar is open until 2 every night so bring your earplugs. The bar on the balcony is often open to the public and worth checking out at night if you’re staying at a quiet hostel and want to meet some travelers. I’m hungover and rambling but this is one of those places you’re sad to leave. Thank you everyone!
