Food is absolutely amazing here and priced great. The views at this place are unreal. Can’t recommend this place enough. They have a wide selection of tequilas that are all priced very fairly and many beer options too. The food comes out very quickly. You won’t be disappointed

What a gem. Waterfront with views out to Magnetic Island. Interior is very cool with lots of surf and other memorabilia. Staff very welcoming and quick to collect glasses. We'll be back.

Seating was easy with options offered. Great wine and food choices. Staff pleasant and professional. Waffle chips and dip very nice. Prawn taco with mango salad fresh and tasty. Steak on skewers well cooked and tasty. It was great that the person taking my order and the kitchen staff were able to do entree and main correctly with a breathing space between them.

This place is hot! Literally! The food is awesome, with such varied tastes and degrees of heat, chili heat, that is! Great venue, full of memorabilia and stuff you just can’t help but want to photograph. The service is pretty fast and cheerful. Great energy and vibe…and very popular too. Oh, did I mention the great views over the ocean to Magnetic Island as well???

Everything you want from a coastal bar! We arrived without a booking but were so lucky when the friendly staff found us a table straight away overlooking the water. With such a great menu, decisions took a while but we landed on the Baja Fish Tacos, the Coconut Prawn Tacos and the Grilled Barramundi to share. After ordering at the kitchen, we grabbed some drinks and relaxed while taking in the beautiful scenery. The food didn’t take too long and it was absolutely delicious! The tacos had such great flavour combos (especially the mango chunky salsa with the prawns!) and the barramundi was cooked to perfection with that honey carrot purée which was so moorish! We seriously could not fault this place. From start to finish, this is what you look for in a restaurant. Casual atmosphere, a view to die for, excellent staff and food that is exceptional. We only hope that we can squeeze in another visit before we leave Townsville!!

Always a great spot to go for a drink and some food. Prices are quite reasonable for the premium location and the food is good. Most of the time you can get a cool breeze and of course it is nice to sit over the water.

Yelp
Bottom line: it's a great place on the waterfront to get some good burgers (or fish and chips) with some drinks and a view. The service was good, courteous, and fast. Food: ordered the cheeseburger with waffle fries on the side. The fries basket comes with tomato sauce but you can always add an additional tomato sauce for about $3AUS. The drinks are ordered separately at the bar and there's plenty to choose from. Service: quick at the front and for the order. Relatively easy to order... and you can view the menu prior to getting seated. Overall: definitely recommend you patron this establishment. It's a must try when visiting this town.

Yelp
The food was not super good, I got the poke bowl and had to pay $9 extra for mediocre salmon. I basically had to cut all of the ingredients in my bowl. The bowl and taco "salad" had no dressing... weird. No service basically, but one of the waitresses was nice. The restaurant itself is in a pretty nice location with a cool vibe. Should be better since the location is so prime.

Yelp
Went for a birthday dinner on 14th July. Was ok but wouldnt rave about it. Drinks were overpriced for what you get. My brothers calamari was chewy and all stuck together and my sister in law wanted to change a burger bun to a wrap which they do stock and they wouldnt allow it so had to order something else. I found the girl at the bar rude. There is no table service but some people like that. Would be a cool vibe with some mates but not for a special occasion.

Yelp
The Unlucky Pig which is a pulled pork sandwich with apple coleslaw and barbecue sauce is quite good. View over the bay is nice. $4.90 Australian for a can of Coca-Cola, which is quite much! And really no table service, otherwise nice atmosphere.

Yelp
It's 4 tacos for $20, and you can mix/match between fried chicken, pork, beef, and fish. I bought one of each and enjoyed them all. If I had to pick, I probably liked the beef taco the most. They also changed the veggies/herbs/condiments to suit each meat, which is always nice since restaurants don't always do that to save time and lower costs. For example, on the beef taco, they had guacamole and sour cream, but on the fried chicken there was a lot of salsa while the pork had BBQ sauce. It was also a nice surprise for the tacos to arrive in this little rack thing, which has a slot to hold up each individual taco in a taco shape rather than just having it spill all over a plate. Also ordered a half kilo of their signature buffalo wings. The wings were okay. I like big wings, and these were definitely on the smaller end. The sauce was kind of 'meh.'

Yelp
I feel like Townsville really is a gem of a small town - nothing too boring and nothing's too exciting and Longboard fits in with that theme. Good not great! A group of 4 of us went on a Monday night and the place had a decent amount of people there. We were seated immediately outside at a picnic table. I will say the ordering of weird and maybe this is an Australian concept. You are give menus to order drinks at the bar and food at the counter - no real server situation! We chose some beer and wine and both were good. We also had a Buffalo, Thai, and Hawaiian wing. The Hawaiian were the best for sure grilled to perfection with an ample portion of sauce on the side. The Buffalo were okay but to be honest we're lacking sauce and heat in my opinion. Finally, the Thai style were good probably the second best and the sauce was sweet-ish! We also split chicken and Baja fish tacos and both were solid. They were large in size and that definitely helped in my take because it seems like you can find these mini tacos nowadays! Finally, we shared the calamari which came with an almond aioli and spicy avocado sauce. The pieces of calamari were cooked so perfectly and the pieces were large and meaty. It was the stand out dish and totally worthy of getting!!! The space itself is all about location - oceanfront helps no matter what. Otherwise it is kind of like a beach themed dive style bar not special but not gross or anything. It's definitely a spot worth grabbing drinks if nothing else.

Yelp
Hot Wings, Hot Wings!!! Those wings were scrumptious!!! I'm a California boy and I know good wings when I taste them, I was also impressed with the portions. Not to mention the great atmosphere and location. Lunch there was like a mini vacation. Definitely, will ensure I visit every time I hit Townsville. Getty Up, Hot Wings!

Yelp
Overlooking The Stand Headlands with cool ocean breezes. The cuisine is a reflection of great Northern Aussie fusion where the extensive menus offer something for everyone.Got to try the hot Buffalo Chicken wings or the burger. PS: I tried longboarding once - I was asked to leave after 3 years for not paying the rent :)

Yelp
Amazing food, but it is a bit pricey for a broke boi in college with barely any money. The wait for the food is a little lengthy, I waited maybe 30-35min for my food but that didn't bother me.

Yelp
Bar & Grill, Fantastic lunch establishment, serves dinner as well. Friendly staff, diverse menu, all you could ask for. Boasts wines from WA, and SA - Barossa Valley.

Scooter F.

Yelp
Trendy. Great view. Terrible food - almost everything is overcooked to within an inch of its life.

Yelp
Great location and some of the food is good. The tacos are my preferred one. Clunky service system for ordering food that doesn't really work. Needs a better range of beers. No ipa on tap for instance. 50cents for sauce is really stingy given the price of meals.

Yelp
Average food good service beef ribs weren't slow cooked all that well and the sauce was to much

Ben H.

Yelp
Reliably bad/mediocre food. The wings here were completely devoid of salt, and were the blandest wings I've ever had in my life. I'm also convinced that they are selling beer under the wrong name. I've ordered a Fat Yak on tap more than once, and it tasted almost like XXXX each time. Not good!

Yelp
The atmosphere at long board was superb, something you would expect in a big metropolis restaurant. The wait staff, especially areanush (not sure on spelling) was amazing and had a great sense of humour and was very helping with food allergies. The food came out in a timely manner and was amazing, the only qualm was the volume of the TV but that's being picky because it was a Cowboys semi final game. Great restaurant and great staff

Yelp
Fantastic location right on the strand. Often very busy so ensure to book a table if going for dinner. Try their cocktails- they are yummy :)

Yelp
We went for a cool drink and a casual dinner and we're not disappointed. The buffalo wings and the BBQ beef ribs were great and it is obvious why they are menu favorites in most reviews. A really pleasant evening on the deck watching the sunset and enjoying the cool breeze.
