"Another great beach for surfing or boogie boarding. The ocean side is colder and the waves are stronger, and to get to the beach, you have to traverse a dune."

Gorgeous in every way. We went at sunrise, saw seals and had a beautiful walk.

Nice quiet beach (we were in June though) There is a hill to go down to the beach and it's not easy or at least not for everyone. Young kids or old people might have a hard time climbing back to the parking lot.

Gorgeous dunes and ocean overlooks (for the price of a steep dune climb), but direct access to the beach was closed for safety reasons when we visited.

A new favorite on the Cape, especially off season. We were there on two separate days in late September, once first thing in the morning to watch the sunrise and another day in the afternoon. On both days we probably saw less than 20 people during the 4ish hours we were there. A little bit of a chore getting to and from the parking lot but well worth it once we were on the beach. Water was still plenty warm for swimming too. Lots of seals swimming though so be shark aware.

If you are looking for a spectacular beach surrounded by huge sand dunes you might consider checking out Longnook Beach. After 4pm you don’t need a special resident permit. When we were there we spotted a few seals in the water. I was very impressed by the rules in place for social distancing and the insistence of wearing masks.

Coming from the west coast of Canada, I haven’t been able to stop talking about this place since visiting. Absolutely amazing spot. Panoramic views, big Atlantic seals, great swimming, friendly people everywhere, fruit stands on the way in. Loved it.

Just a 1/2 mile down from the Longnook entrance to the beach is a great nude beach. There aren’t usually more than 8 or 10 people there, and it’s a cool way to make some friends, too.

The beach is 5 stars, but the steep walk down and up from the parking lot knocks a half star off. 4 1/2 stars. Parking lot is small. Beautiful sand. Good waves.

Yelp
glad that this beach is hidden away; with the dangers of the dunes falling in, maybe nature is telling the tourists to stay away......

Yelp
How do you keep the tourists away from a beach? First, have no signage anywhere. None on Rt 6. And none when you arrive at the actual beach! Limit parking. There are maybe 40 spaces. Have no facilities - no restrooms, no trash cans and no food service. Have no stairs to the beach - just a giant sand dune to climb up and down. In return for the inconvenience - you get small crowds, beautiful sand and seals frolicking in the water.

Yelp
This beach has a beautiful view, some lovely dunes and has never been crowded in the four years I've been visiting (the beach that is, the parking area is always overflowing). It is a favorite amongst nude sunbathers so stick to the crowds if you're bringing the kids along. Parking is difficult after 11am and requires a beach sticker (or take a chance with a ticket). Two portable toilets are usually clean (as clean as a porta-toilet by the beach can be), but there are no changing facilities at this beach.

Yelp
One of the best beaches on cape cod! Hidden down a long side street off of route 6. In season you have to pay but in the offseason it's free! Beautiful view and wonderful beach to walk. Big waves!

Yelp
This is the ugliest, most crowded beach. It's really a horrible beach. Please, stay away.

Yelp
Stay away! DANGER! Lots of biting bugs, seagulls that swoop down to steal your Slim Jims ...and that shark problem, lots of annoying, pesky sand, lonely (very few people to socialize with) just a horrible experience if you're looking for my favorite, Sardine Beach on Long Island. Oh, and there are no greasy spoon snack bar stands that serve those greasy orange curly fries. You'll have to bring your own. Maybe Mickey D's will finally get a toe hold here but until then...skip it. Oh did I mention the sharks and the more than occasional naturists?

Yelp
One of the best beaches on the planet. Do be shark and tide aware.

Yelp
A very very beautiful beach! Not crowded at all! Big hill to walk down and up again but totally worth it.

Yelp
Lovely place! The walk down the dune is fun but the walk back up is a chore. Tons of space to relax and sun bathe. The wide can be extreme and there was a sign for recent shark sighting. Would recommend to seasoned swimmers as the waves created, what looked like, a 'drop' on the shore. I did not swim and dare not swim due to my inexperience. ;) I went there the last day of the season so that may have something to do with the conditions of the beach.

Yelp
This is our most favorite beach on the east coast. The sand is something special and the first time you step into it is the next best feeling to a professional foot massage. Parking is limited and it keeps the crowds away. As to the sharks, I have been going there for over 50 years and never saw one. Best body surfing but like always be vigilant and aware of the ocean currents.

Yelp
Great Beach. If you walk south of the public beach you may run into the nude sunbathers.Fantastic views of the dunes and sometimes you feel like you are the only one on the beach.
