Longtail Beach Resort

After 2 months of traveling across South east Asia my girlfriend and I decided to take a much needed vacation at this resort. So glad we did because it it paradise. The beach is quiet, clean and private with warm stunning blue water. The room is lovely with a comfy bed, hot shower and my personal favourite was the hammock on the balcony. The staff is incredibly friendly and the restaurant is not only delicious but very affordable. It is so nice I never want to leave!

A lovely hotel with a fabulous restaurant! The rooms are basic and quite small for a family of 4, but we were out most of the time. The beach is quite narrow and the tide comes in quite early but you can still walk along it. It good value for money and the restaurant was the best in the area. You can easily walk up to a great bar on the hill for an afternoon drink. We hired a car so it was easy to get around, there’s not much to walk to, a few local restaurants and a 7 Eleven. Would go back 😊

We stayed at Longtail as a family of four for a bit over a week. Our kids are 5 and 3 and we enjoyed the time. We stayed at the bungalow right at the beach front. It was awesome to hear ocean and the jungle all day and night. The whole hotel is really perfect for a families and you can also swim and spend time by the pool while being so close to the ocean. The beach is very nice and clean when the weather is nice it’s just awesome. For me personally it wasn’t ideal that the restaurant is right next to the front row bungalow as people can look right into your room and you terrace all the time. I felt uncomfortable sometimes. We also had people being a bit mindless and where quite loud very early in the morning and late at night which annoyed us a little. Also I would not recommend to stay here if you can’t handle cockroaches and other insects. We haven’t had any food on the room and had big cockroaches in the room and nineteen out stuff every other day Overall we enjoyed our stay and loved the food :) Thank you!

Super family friendly. Menu cards for kids. Small swings on the beach and just what you are looking for as a family with small children. The location is superb. Exactly what families with small children are looking for. Isolated and with a big beach in front with shallow water. A lot of families with good manners and behaved. The staff was friendly and sweet also. And the food I think was overall good. Only thing we disliked was the bit worn room ( but it’s ok for the price ) However a huge dislike was the Israeli/ junkies smoking marijuana everywhere totally uncontrolled. It doesn’t belong to a hotel with small children…. Behave dudes. Hotel need to be more strict against this. Couldn’t sit at our veranda because of junkies smoking 24/7 across at the poool and at the restaurant. Also the plastic behind the restaurant and swings could be nice if it was cleaned up and instead the area used for a small jungle gym or playground.

We chose to stay here because of where it is on the beach and also because the rooms are so cute. We have been here 3 days and don’t want to leave. The rooms are clean, the bed is super soft which if you have been to Thailand you would know is a rare experience. We have eaten most of our meals here because they are just so amazing we can’t take ourselves away from the view and the food. The staff, wow everyone is so friendly and happy to have a chat. We would highly recommend staying here, we will be back. Robshaztravels :-)

Perfect resort on the beach. Rooms are very basic, but you don't need anything more, the beach is huge an clean, there is a volleyball net and a few climbing trees for kids, the pool is beautiful, the food is quite good, and the service was perfect. We stayed only 4 nights and we wish we have stayed more.

Beautifully located on the quietest part of Koh Phangan, stunning protected beach. Half an hour drive back to Thong Sala and a small simple village a 5 minute walk along the beach. Best food you can find and the most wonderful amazing staff, so friendly, hard working, beautiful energy and smiles all around. Clean classic bamboo bungalows, simple and basic, well designed with AC, fan, mozzie nets, warm shower, hammocks on balconies set within stunning gardens and just a few steps to the beach. Lush clean pool and some entertainment such as the best fire show we have ever seen. So family friendly and catering so well to younger children that the only downfall is if you don't have young children (6 and under) there are soooo many small kids, it may not be what you're looking for, but the place itself could not be run better than they are doing.

The best zen beach experience i ever had. The hospitality and service is top notch. A must stay at koh phangan. I even forgot my watch at the stay,they found it, asked me my address and posted it to the next island for free. I will always be grateful for the hospitality they have shown.
