Longtail Beach Resort

This place is gorgeous. We had 4 nights here and the service, the pool, the massages, and the food were all excellent. The location is out of this world. If you're interested in Thai food, go on the cooking course as it's really informative and fun. Take a walk up the beach to the Flip Flop Pharmacy Bar. There's a really nice atmosphere there and always good music playing.

This is a magical hotel. We spent four nights in the hotel at the end of the rainy season. We had a family room which consisted of two bedrooms with three different beds with great a/c, a safe, a bathroom with a great shower, a fride,comfortable beds with mosquito nets, and a balcony overlooking the ocean with a hammock and chairs. Ours was room A1 and it was incredible. This hotel is clean, beautiful, magical, serene, and located on an incredible bay. Having taken an island tour of this island and seen many of its beaches, this one is by far the best and the most beautiful. There was hardly anyone there when we were there so it was very quiet. The hotel staff are fantastic, friendly and kind. The food is good in the restaurant and the breakfasts are good. The hotel is the last one at the end of the beach so you have privacy and it has a wonderful rustic natural feel to it, they have swings and an area for kids to play on, a wonderful pool, a great spa with really good massages offered, the bar area and restaurant area is great with laterns at night. We swam in the ocean, it even had waves on some days. We did get some rain but it didn't matter. There were a a lot of families there with kids so I can see how it might get loud when it is more full. You can walk along the beach and even into a small town that has restaurants, places to get masages, small grocery stores, etc. The view at night is also great. There is a restaurant located on a hill above this hotel called C2 that is worth a visit. The view, even from the bathroom there is incredible. It is up a steep hill but the hotel can call them and they can pick you up. This hotel is not modern or fancy but it is rustic, charming, tranquil, serene, comfortable, clean and perfect in our eyes. We did not want to leave. There are other hotels along this beach and restaurants but none are as nice as this place. Sadly, there is a hotel at the far opposite end of the beach that is in complete disrepair having closed during Covid but you are far away from it. You can book activites from this hotel. We loved our stay here and we were an older couple traveling without kids. It is highly recommended. One thing of note, the Wifi was a bit spotty, but we had it for most of every day.

We didn’t stay at the resort, but I’d like to review the restaurant. For our last evening, we wanted to try something special, and this place had caught our attention several times while walking along the beach. We finally went there on our last night and couldn’t have been happier with our choice. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive. We enjoyed some excellent and surprisingly affordable cocktails while watching a fire show right on the beachfront. The food was phenomenal, with generous portions that left us completely satisfied. It was the perfect ending to our trip. Highly recommended!

We stayed here 6 nights. It was like our home in Thailand. Perfect location, quiet, lovely accomodation, excelent staff, lovely beach, good breakfast, very good restaurant and wverything at fair price. I would return here anytime. I would recommand to people with kids.

A simple resort with everything you really need – perfect beach, cozy rooms, great food, and the kindest staff. Surrounded by nature, peaceful and authentic. Highly recommended to treat yourself to a massage at the hotel spa. The staff is wonderful and professional. The only disappointing thing about the place was that the pool had so much chlorine it was hard to get into it. Not luxury – just real happiness. We can’t wait to come back!

Second time here for it's cafe/restaurant. Location is awesome! Most peaceful spot I have found yet. View is incredible. On the beach in a cove. Haven't spent the night but they offer individual cabins.

Longtail Resort is the perfect getaway, located on a quiet and relatively secluded beach on the island. The resort has a fantastic restaurant with a wide variety of delicious and satisfying dishes. The staff are kind and go out of their way to make sure you truly feel on vacation. We spent 7 nights here and could have easily stayed longer… Highly recommended!

We came with family and friends and had a great experience. The hotel is basic but extremely comfortable. Service was splendid and you felt you were very well taken care of. Food was very good and reasonably priced. The rooms are a bit tight if you need to have your children with you. It’s located in a very quiet corner of beach with a lovely play area for children that includes a tree house, swings, gym rings, and a voleibol net. I’d love to go back!
