This waterfall is easy acces from the main road. You basically park in the side of the road and down the stairs you go. The stairs are short, nothing extreme. People swim when is nice weather. Definitely worth the quick stop

Very crowed on a Sunday afternoon. We felt rushed and unable to pause to enjoy this magnificent site. The waterfall is beautiful. Very short walk down concrete steps to the base of the fall. We took our lab who has zero issues navigating the rocks for a picture directly in front of the waterfall. It is pet friendly however, maybe don’t bring your dog if it’s not nice to other dogs. Parking is close if you’re able to snag a spot.

Gets busy so parking is a little tight, but definitely worth a stop. Stairs lead down to the waterfall and you can climb down closer over the rocks. Lots of mist from the waterfall so it can get chilly but it was such a nice experience.

Beautiful spot! You can see the entire falls from the overlook or you can go down a few flights of weel maintained stairs to get an up close experience. It is definitely worth the stop.

Looking Glass Falls — A Roadside Gem in the Heart of Pisgah We were driving along the winding forest road when we noticed a line of cars pulled over to the side — always a good sign something worth seeing is nearby. Luck was on our side; a space opened right next to the overlook. Only a few steps from the car, we found ourselves standing at the railing, the sound of rushing water filling the air. Looking Glass Falls revealed itself in full view — tall, graceful, and perfectly framed by rock and green. From this same spot, stairs lead down to the base, where you can stand close enough to feel the spray and the cool breath of the mountain. For the adventurous, the trek from bottom to top is possible — just be sure to bring plenty of water, a good dose of curiosity, and a bit of grit. Looking Glass Falls is that rare place where beauty meets accessibility — a reminder that sometimes, the best views don’t require much more than a little curiosity and an open road.

Beautiful place!!! I love it! You just follow a convenient path and come to a very beautiful waterfall. In the summer, you can swim there. I did. The water is clear and crystal-clear. I love this place and have already come twice from Charlotte. Convenient parking is nearby. Don't miss this turn!!! You'll love it, I promise!!! It takes 10 minutes to get to the waterfall and 10 minutes back. There are a lot of steps. But if you walk slowly and don't rush, you won't get tired.

A stunningly beautiful drive through the Pisgah National Forest will bring you to this gorgeous falls. Easy parking, and just a few stairs if you want to go down to the lower level.

Creations like this remind us that there are far bigger things than us. Humbling. Peaceful. Happy. Resetting. This is a must-stop if you’re anywhere near the area! Week days are likely less busy and more enjoyable. The powerful sounds of the falls, the massive surrounding rocks, the lively greenery, the cool, peaceful stream that weaves and turns….all a great reset for the soul! Even the fur babies find solace here! Great for everyone!
