Great place to go snowboarding/ skiing from beginners to experts. A little over 2 hours from Boston with little to no traffic. Reasonable prices for evening skiing on Sunday. Friendly staff and a pretty good length from the top of the lift to the bottom of the mountain. Will definitely return for the whole day experience!

Conor was the most incredible Wedding Coordinator for our special day at Loon Mountain Resort! After our tour, we just knew Loon was the perfect fit. We had our Wedding on July 5, 2024 at 4PM & it was the most perfect day. Not to mention, they put on a seamless Wedding Rehearsal the day before. Conor, Andrew & Stacey truly went above & beyond what we could have ever dreamed of in an event staff the day of our Wedding. Above all, they are an absolute joy to work with & Conor answered all of our questions and made us feel at complete ease throughout the entire process. I truly never had a single worry. I cannot recommend Loon Mountain Resort enough! You will not regret it & will cherish the memories forever. 🤍🖤📸🙌🏻

Google
Loon Mountain is an incredible place to visit all year round. My family would vacation here for years. No issues with Loon or the views or resort. However, Oktoberfest has been disappointing year after year. Going as a family, we all try to be involved, the beer games are fun to watch, the music is good, the food is decent but very pricey. Unfortunately, there is very little for the kids to do however 2024 they stepped up with face painting and allowed kids to explore a few machines. The biggest issue this year is the gondola ride to the top of the mountain. Waited almost 2 hours in line. WARNING: Buy tickets ahead of time and make sure you don't wait. They stopped selling tickets cause so many people were waiting. The Beer is disappointing, too. They have all the same Sam Adam's beers you can buy at the grocery store, only on tap. Nothing new or exotic, which is a letdown. Otherwise, it's not terrible but a bit underwhelming for an Oktoberfest.

Oh, Loon Mountain in New Hampshire sounds like a dream! 🌄 It's like stepping into a picturesque painting no matter the season. The scenery is breathtaking, making it an ideal spot for weddings. Imagine exchanging vows with those majestic mountains as your backdrop! The food there is top-notch too, and the staff? They’re like the cherry on top, always ensuring you have the best experience possible. It’s truly a gem!

Google
Room was great, Ed in reception and the maintenence guy were awesome. Also Emma our housekeeper awesome. Gave good recommendations for food and an arcade. All around great experience!

Google
I brought two full buses of senior citizens from our Active Living center in Henniker, New Hampshire. Their day was built around enjoying the Loon Mountain Gondola ride and simply enjoying some early fall time at the summit. With the fall color at its peak, the weather absolutely perfect, Conor and Stacy's attention to detail, and forever views, our entire group rated their experience a perfect 10.

Google
Phenomenal quiet little place to take the family and go skiing! Enjoyed the accommodations, the food experience and of course the skiing! Getting tickets there and getting set up in our skis took a little running around but other than that it was very well done. Loading and unloading was pretty much quick and easy and seem well attended by management. Not too many unsupervised kids making the whole experience pleasurable for the entire family! We will plan another vacation there.

Google
Went to Loon Mt for a snowboarding trip. It was a really good experience and had lots of fun laps with a group of friends on many blue & easy black trails. The views from the summit were phenomenal! We went right after a snowstorm, so the snow conditions were at its best! Really enjoyed the time at Loon and highly recommended to anyone!

Yelp
Customer service at guest services was amazing , had issues with equipment and they made sure I was able to use my pass another day very class act. The tuning/PRO shop first level , very disappointed in you not fixing my boot when the BOA lace broke. How do you not have that piece of equipment when you literally sell BOA boots and BOA sends the equipment free of charge to replace. Very frustrating. Killed the whole day . The black diamond pub was fantastic but the fact they don't let you accumulate BOYNE REWARD POINTS , is mind boggling. When asked about it they said were loosely affiliated....??? Receipt proceeds to print with a big LOON logo on it....loosely affiliated.... Grilled cheese tomato soup was great , beer selection 10/10 service was spot on. Food IMO is best on the mtn. BLACK DIAMOND PUB.

Yelp
First time I've skied in 2 years! Got my skiis waxed and tuned and took a digger on the first run! Oops! And it snowed on Monday about 4 " , so the conditions were primarily packed powder with some hard pack. It was 25° with hardly any wind. And above average New England ski day. They've added a lot of terrain over the years. I hadn't been there in 20 years. I've never ridden on a 8-pack chair with a bubble. Very fast! Unfortunately the newest terrain wasn't open yet. But I would like to go back and check it out.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our two days at the Loon Mountain resort. As someone who is brand new to skiing, I have to give a shoutout to Ed, my private ski instructor. He was so patient and helpful today. Last night, we went tubing which was also a lot of fun. I would definitely return to Loon!

Yelp
Fun ski resort just off exit 32 on 93. Place gets way too packed though. Other day i showed up and the resort had no power. They used diesel to get the gondola running but with 40 minute waiting in lines i decided to leave before my first run. Too much beginner terrain. Not allowed to cook lunch in the parking lots either! Super lame tactic to steer customers towards lodge food.

Yelp
A lot of other gondolas in and around Lincoln, New Hampshire were closed when my family was visiting mid-October 2020, so we were pleasantly surprised that the one at Loon Mountain Resort was still open! My mom wanted to get a "tree top" view of the awesome Fall foliage and she was in leaf peeper paradise as we ascended up Loon mountain in the gondola. Price of admission ($22 for adults, $20 for seniors) allowed us to go up and down the mountain as many times as we wanted for the day (although we just went once so that we could tour other parts of the area). Pandemic precautions are enforced and everyone must wear a mask or face covering, one group/party per gondola car and social distancing is recommended. The gondolas do not completely stop as you load and unload, which worried my mom, but we managed just fine. Also, they can sway a bit on the ride up or down the mountain depending on wind gusts and this is not a recommended excursion for those with a fear of heights. There's a small cafe at the top/where the gondolas unload as well as a fire tower you can climb if you want even better views. Signage lets you know what you're looking at (other mountains, ponds, etc.), which definitely came in handy. We would definitely come back next time we visit New England as we would love to see the mountain when it's covered in snow!

Yelp
We've been up here many times years ago and on a recent visit we decided it was time to go back up for a look again. The people working there were very friendly and the ride up the gondola was very pretty. But, once we got up there the views were poor. The trees have grown a lot and has blocked any great views and picture opportunities. We have many pictures in our collections of beautiful scenery and we just couldn't find it this time (including climbing to the top of the fire tower). Save your money, there are better views at turnouts on the side of the highways.

Yelp
the rudest people i've ever met in my entire life!! front desk was extremely rude!! dirty sheets on the bed, and trash left behind in the cupboard(stale food). self service/cleaning/replenishing, they want to charge you your first born for products. the only smoking premisses is in front of the cookout and playground area in which i find DISGUSTING.

Steve M.

Yelp
The resort has some work cut out. Not a pleasant experience during my last visit. The resort was overwhelmed and had difficulties handling the snow and visitors coming to ski. Long traffic lines, bad and inconsistent communication about parking (or the lack of parking to be precise) causing a huge traffic jam, initial long lines at lifts, slow lifts and a less than helpful employee who could not be bothered to give alternative parking suggestions when asked, coupled with un-groomed runs, made for a very underwhelming experience. Management is patting itself on the back for handling the situation well, but I complete disagree and so do most guests that I talked to and even your employees! No plan B and apparently no real plan A in place. Don't think I will be back.
google avatar

Yelp
Great early season conditions on November 29th. The Gondola was running with no line! The new 8 pack chair looks like it will be amazing!!!!
google avatar

Loren C.

Yelp
What a great place. We were there on a Wednesday afternoon, the gondola ride to the summit was relaxing, and the view was awesome with pre-peak foliage. Nice cafe too, to grab a lunch while enjoying the beauty of it all.

Yelp
A Saturday on a long weekend and Loon was bumpin'! So bumpin' that we had to park in a lot down the road and be shuttled in and snow tubing was sold out for the whole day... little disappointed so we ended up at their adventure park area. We had 4 adults, 2 kids (6 & 8.) They ice skated and went zip lining. As it is a small zip line, its beautiful over a little stream an a beautiful backdrop! The kids loved it! The ice sating is a make shift rink. No walls to help hold yourself up or stop if going too fast. I can't imagine skating if there are a lot of people, luckily we only had one other family on the ice when we were there. We would try Loon again- just maybe not on a 3 day weekend.

Yelp
Two separate ski days, same result. They shut down the mountain every time there is a hint of weather. As we pulled in the parking lot on MLK day (Monday, $120) the attendants were screaming, "Why are you here!?!" mocking their guests for coming during a snow storm (5-8"). When getting our tickets we were told that only 2 lifts were open because of wind limiting you to about 1/3rd of the mountain with only lower terrain. It was definitely windy, no doubt there. We had 1 run, as we got to the base, they shut down both of the remaining lifts by 10:15 AM. Again, I've been here 4 times, its happened twice. They are trigger happy when it comes to shutting down. Then we went in the bar, which was fun. Between 1-2:00 PM the wind had stopped, the sun came out and it would have been perfectly safe, but, they couldn't re-open because they sent all their employees home. In days leading up, they only had 40 trails open. I'm pretty much done coming here. I cant afford to plan an entire trip around a mountain that is so willing to shut down at the drop of a hat, disregarding their guests effort to travel there.

Yelp
Loved my first trip to Loon. Excellent customer service. a great dealio for Easter skiing and pretty good grooming. No lift lines. Classic rock pumped out some good tunes. I did find the greens a bit more like blues (I am snowboarder learning to ski again). We had a blast.

Yelp
Love, Love, Love! i love how i got a room and could overview the mountains, they have a free sauna, steam room, showers, pool and indoor pool and outdoor pool! the only thing i disliked was the wait for the restaurant built in to the hotel, we waited 1 hour and 30 minutes for a table, and there was a party of 5 behind us and we were a party of 5 and they got to go infront of us, but they apologized and gave us free drinks and took off a salad off our bill, overall very nice but you don't get a lot of signal out here but the hotel comes with wifi so that's one thing i loved. the sunsets were very pretty.

Yelp
This place is one of the circles of hell. I think if you have a season pass it's fine, but I've made the mistake of coming here now three times in my life and every year I end up at cannon. Here is a typical experience: 1. All the online ticketing machines are broken except one 2. Regular ticket line is a mile long and only one window is open. 3. Rental center is 85 degrees and will take a minimum of an hour and a half (and this yearwe just needed a forgotten helmet). I have skiied in many places, rented from many places, and never found a rental center that matches this sense of inefficiency. 4. Indoor store is closed, which forced me to 3. 5. Sent my daughter to ski lessons, found out she was lying on her face eating snow all day. I can't even comment on the snow. I'm always too angry about the Loon "process" to enjoy myself.

Yelp
Awesome big time mountain with a small mountain feel. Skiied here new years week and had little to know wait the whole time on the lifts and gondolas. Terrain was well groomed and had a nice base. Whether your a beginner or expert this is a perfect mountain. The southside is a nice quiet part of the mountain if your more of an experienced skiier or boarder. Loges are nice and have a few nice bars.

Yelp
My wife and I had an excellent time at the resort, the pub had wonderful food for dinner and lunch. The breakfast is ok, but shouldn't turn you off from the wonderful pub food. The resort was clean, and was quiet at night. I couldn't have asked for a better time.

Paige W.

Yelp
I didn't have a great experience at this place. The parking situation was truly horrendous. When we arrived at 8:30am, there was already a line of cars in bumper to bumper traffic for one MILE before the parking lot. By the time we got to the parking lot, it was full and we had to go to another lot. Unfortunately, no one was directing traffic, so it wasn't clear where anyone should go and it was horribly inefficient. I had to be dropped off before we could go park in another lot, because I had a 10am group lesson and it was already close to 9:30, meaning that we had been waiting in a line of cars outside the mountain for almost ONE HOUR. My lesson was awful. The instructor just kept saying to "lean forward" over and over again. At one point he said to me "I see you can do a parallel turn when going left. Just do the same thing on the right." Those were the two main bits of instruction I got during the entire 2.5 hour lesson. Halfway through, another student and I got separated from our instructor. He went completely out of sight while I was still getting down the mountain. After about 30 minutes, I happened to see my group in another lift line and was reconnected. Overall, after spending $245 on the rentals, lift ticket, and lesson, I felt like it was a huge waste of money. I heard from my boyfriend that after having to park the car in a far away lot, it took forever for them to get on a shuttle and they didn't end up getting to the mountain until 11:30! And the place closes at 4, so they could only get a few hours of skiing in for $150 or whatever the lift ticket cost. If the mountain had had traffic guides or signs posted regarding where to park, this wouldn't have been an issue. Contrast this to my experience at Pats Peak last night, where for a mere fraction of the cost and an hour shorter drive, I experienced better snow, more efficient service, and the lifts were open until 10pm. Not sure if I'll be back to Loon anytime soon.

Yelp
Nice and well maintained long trails, plenty of trails for all levels. We hold a seasonal pass here. So convenient to hop right off 93, very easy access. One of the best mountains in New England area. Foods can use some improvement in quality though.
google avatar

Michael E.

Yelp
I can't think of a better way to experience a year since Covid times started then enjoying a ski getaway. This was perfect because the drive to Loon is easy, right off the highway. 3 hours from home. The Snow was great! Staying Slopeside was choice! The accommodation was comfortable clean. The front desk staff at loon mountain club were super nice. But the restaurant food included with the stay was lackluster. Breakfast was decent., lunch in the bar was good, but dinner was subpar. Very tough to contact them to order. Then the Prime Rib was very tough. I will be back to stay slopeside again at Loon. The gym was great and convenience of staying so close is unbeatable

Yelp
This review is for the winter skiing season. We came here with a couple of friends to celebrate a birthday. We ended up taking a full day ski lessons which cost $200/person. They first analyze your technique and then divide you into groups depending on your skill level. The mountain wasn't too crowded, and it was nice that we were able to skip the lift lines since we were with an instructor. Most of the mountain has blue and black slopes, so if you're not very experienced, we'd suggest you to go to another mountain in the area. Food here was OK, normal pricing for ski resorts. We probably won't come back for skiing, but definitely want to come for the summer hiking in the area.

Bruce C.

Yelp
Baby terrain for college kids that want to get high all day. Most unfriendly lift operators. Boring terrain that cost a fortune. Never go there again.
google avatar

James S.

Yelp
This place is the definition of deplorable. Made a reservation and needed to cancel due to an unexpected death in the family and they refused to refund me the hotel rate. Look I get that there is a policy in place, but things happen and at a time when they could step up and do the right thing they chose not to. Well, not only did they lose a customer today, they lost one for life. Do not book a room here..
google avatar

Jan R.

Yelp
We went here to take the gondola ride to the top of the mountain. It was a beautiful day and I was really glad that we had that experience together. The resort is very well kept and very busy, they had two weddings in the resort that day and yet there were people doing zip lining and the gondola and rock climbing and all kinds of at other activities and yet it was not crowded. We did the gondola to the summit which was lovely and something that I would like to do again in the future
google avatar

Deneen C.

Yelp
We love going here and have done so every year. This year I thought a mid pass for my son due to remote learning, now he can not use it for school obligations. I called customer Service to see if there was anything they could do and a manager wouldn't even talk to me. Very disappointing with such a poor customer service

Jake R.

Yelp
Not even 5 years ago Loon used to be an extremely fun mountain. Now it is even more overcrowded than in years past. Good luck skiing there on the weekends. This mountain does not have the infrastructure to support the increasing popularity. The one day I've gone there this year we had to wait almost 2 hours just to get a parking spot. Oh yeah and then after we finally parked at escape route, we had to wait another hour just to get on a shuttle. After all the waiting we probably only got a good 4 hours of skiing in. They dumped millions of dollars into an extremely unnecessary new lift where that money could have been used to possibly expand terrain on south peak/spread out the skiers. It would have been worth it to drive the extra hour to get to Sunday River.
google avatar

Chelsey B.

Yelp
I hardly ever post reviews with ratings this low. To be honest, this would have been a 1-star review if it weren't for the pleasant staff at the resort. We decided to have a spontaneous getaway after hosting Thanksgiving for 22 guests. My 15 year old wanted to get a head start on the ski season, so instead of our usual trip to Cranmore, we decided to try something new. Man, I wish we went with good ol' Cranmore. We arrived early afternoon on Friday and checked in at the front desk. It took us over 10 minutes to find parking in the tight/packed garages. Once we finally got a spot and headed to our room, we found that the folks checking in to the opposite room were unpacking and blocking the shared hallway. We had to wait another 10 minutes before we were able to drop our gear and bags into our room. The room was un-impressive. The view was nice, but it seems like the rooms have not been maintained in a very, very long time. There were white streaks running down all of the walls in the bathroom (i'm really hoping this was bleach), the toiletries were few, basic and blah. The shower curtain was stained. The kitchen was OK. We wanted to make a pot of coffee on Saturday morning, but alas, no filters. I made sure to pick some up at the front desk for Sunday morning. The room had 2 murphy beds that pulled down, calling these beds is being extremely generous. I'm not even sure they were mattresses and not just sheets pf plywood. I woke up with severe back pain. I booked a massage at the spa for Saturday evening. We dined at the restaurant a total of 3 times. All meals were fine, but very expensive! If you are on a budget, my advice is to take the short drive to a local eatery. Overall, not a great experience. We may be back to ski because the skiing was great, but we'll definitely use Air BnB or find another area hotel.

Yelp
I think it's really unfair that people give this place a low ranking because they think it's not for beginners. What about those of us who have been skiing our whole lives?! We like it here. And here's why: 1. South mountain has some great new steep slopes. With some good snow you can't beat jobber and ripsaw. Parking can always be found there (contrary to another review it's open to the public) 2. The terrain is varied and not too difficult - most intermediates would find it to be perfect and experts have a few choices as well. Yes, it's crowded during holidays (where isn't it though?!) but you have to know where to go at certain times - and no I not going to tell you 3. Boyne members can ski at other resorts such as big sky using their season pass! Plus rewards= 15% off in their ski shop 4. The shop, which used to be sport Thoma but no longer is, is much improved 5.friendly staff Maybe they don't have a ton of easy "green" terrain but every other mountain in the area does so please take your terrible beginner skills over there so you don't run into me (Bretton woods, Waterville, or go to NY- hunter, windham). This mountain has tons of little kids so I'm not sure what people mean by it not being a family friendly mountain. If you're a good skier you'll like it here. Is it the size of Sunday river? No. but it does suffice for NH. Ps. The waffles smell MUCH better than they taste and tix are overpriced at $81- why are they charging western prices for a east coast mtn.?

Yelp
We took the gondola up the mountain and had a fantastic experience. We spent time exploring the caves which was a blast and better than the Polar Caves in our opinion. The view was beautiful and so worth the trip up. We decided to walk down the mountain while playing disc golf and had a great time. It doesn't take long to explore the top of the mountain and the caves but it was worth it. The disc golf course was fun but grass was long on some holes and be prepared to lose discs along the way. All in all, it was a fantastic morning.

Yelp
This is for the ski resort, not the hotel. Great mountain! 51 trails were open with 10 lifts including an enclosed gondola and 3 express quads when we went. The staff was fabulous and they even had tissues when you got off the lift, nice touch. Prices were reasonable, although i do wish they had a half day option. We didn't use it but they have a lift for the tubing area which is great for when you have little ones with you. The area has some nice restaurants as well. Will definitely be back to Loon!
google avatar

Yelp
I've gone to Loon twice now. As far as skiing going I would say it is 5 stars. There are many different runs for people of all skill levels which is great! The staff on the lifts are friendly and the runs are really pretty as well. As far as the dining goes, a group of us recently at at the Outdoor Paul Bunyan area. It was terrible from the start. We were waiting on line to get to the hostess stand. We had a group of 6. The girl in front of us was next in line to be seated and turned around to our group and offered for us to go ahead as she was still waiting for her group to get there. Super kind, so we said ok. One of the waiters that worked there. Heavier set man with a beard started yelling at our group accusing us of cutting the line. We explained that we did not cut the line and what had happened and it wasn't until the girl who let us go ahead said something he was ok with it. No apology. We were then told that our party of 6 could not sit together so we said ok. The girls were seated at a table first and then the guys. The guys table was right next to another empty table so I decided to go up to the hostess stand to see if we could move tables to be closer to the guys. The hostess who was a 17 year old girl, probably new to the job, told me that we could not move tables. While I was talking to her that same heavy set bearded guy came over and pushed me into the hostess to get a rag and goes EXCUSE ME! For him to put his hands on me, a customer, let alone a woman, is a disgusting and unacceptable. I turned around and said excuse you! Do not put your hands on me. You need to say excuse me and then let the person get out of the way. And he goes " I said excuse me so too bad, that's what you get! " absolutely disgusting. I turned to the hostess and said that was extremely rude and she goes "oh no. That wasn't rude. It's Covid" what??? That makes no sense. Understood it's covid, we were all wearing masks, I was social distancing and just came up to ask a question. Both individuals were completely rude and I am surprised they have jobs there. I asked to speak with the manager. I told her what had happened and she didn't seem to mind at all. She did however let us know that our drinks would be covered...they weren't. We decided not to say anything because we wanted to get out of the disgusting establishment. Our food was extremely cold, not worth the money at all. Service is poor, food is poor, overall rating is poor. Avoid this restaurant at all costs!

Yelp
Had a very pleasant experience at Loon mountain last Sunday. We had purchased tickets to go up the tram to the top of the mountain, but when we arrived, we realized that it would be a very difficult walk for my disabled mom. On a whim, I popped my head into the health office and asked if there was any way my mom could get some assistance to the lift entrance, and IMMEDIATELY employee Morgan grabbed the keys for the golf cart and met us out front! It was amazing! We are very grateful, and want to make sure Morgan is recognized for his outstanding customer service. Thanks to Morgan, my mom was able to view the incredible fall foliage vistas.

Yelp
Favorite resort to ride on in NH! The park crew does a great job creating all sorts of interesting features to progress your riding.

John S.

Yelp
I've never been to a mountain where they don't have an employee organizing the lift line. It's absolute chaos and a total free for all. I went on school vacation week and you would think with the amount of people there they could ask one of the 3-4 employees chillin in the lift shed to go out and help work the lift line. There were hundreds of people in line and nobody knew when to go which would cause a huge jam every time. You basically just have to be super aggressive and keep pushing forward and cut people off if you ever want to make it to the lift. Either too many people would get to the lift at the same time and not know what to do or there would be multiple chairs in a row with 1 person on them. To add to the chaos every person that tried to get through the card reading gate would spend about a minute waving their card around the machine like they were creating a new tik tok dance just desperately trying to get their card to read. Just an absolute disaster trying to get on the lift when every other mountain makes it so easy. Fix those two very important things and it would be a decent mountain. No chance I go back until then.

Yelp
Loon Mountain Resort is an enjoyable place to visit even during the summer. We bought the lift and lunch combo ticket and took a nice leisurely gondola ride to the top for a sandwich and soft drink with an unbeatable view. The combo ticket basically just saves you a buck or two depending on the sandwich you order. The cafe at the top is a no frills, cafeteria style lunch counter but offers surprisingly great sandwiches. We wondered how they ever serve customers in the busier ski season. During the summer, sitting outside on the deck is perfect. You can also walk around and climb through some bolder caves or just climb to the top of the outlook tower to get a 360 degree view of the mountains. Beautiful. There are also other summer activities to enjoy which seemed to be focused on families with children. We would love to go back again in any season and take in the breathtaking views again.

Yelp
Wonderful snow making and grooming coupled with varying terrain and proximity to 93 make this the ideal day trip for skiing. Great base still so Spring skiing at its best!

Yelp
Among the avid or extremely proficient, the more barren a mountain, the better. And it makes sense - powder doesn't get skied off, novices aren't barreling into to your frigid, brittle body and there's never a wait for lifts of bread bowl chowder. But then word gets out, and those quiet runs get bogged down with every skill level, and the pros take to new snows. Well, I'm an intermediate skier who rents equipment, approaches blue-blacks with serious caution and spends as much time as he can on the trails. These in mind, Loon has been a great experience every visit. Tips to escape the mad rush: - Go early. On one of only a few snowy weekends, the mountain was practically covered in corduroy from 8:30 til 11am, Saturday and Sunday. - Go mid-week. See above, but for all day. It's worth one of your stacked upon sick days. - Stay near the peak. Biggest crowds assemble at the high-speed gondola quad and most other base lifts. Keep your elevation high, and you can ski blues from Loon (East basin lift) and North (Express Quad) Peaks all day. - Find Cruiser. Take Exodus from Summit Lodge to the Tote Road Quad. That'll dump you off on the East Peak - a very quiet, black diamond assembly including the park's toughest run (Rip Saw). But, break left and find a long, scenic blue that, in this humble rookie's opinion, is the most peacefully fun run on the mountain. And to ease financial woes, consider renting offsite. While the equipment is well maintained, you can find cheaper gear in solid condition just down Main. And don't forget the Unconditional Guarantee! After eight solid hours on a Saturday, we found ourselves wiped out by 10:30a Sunday. Brought our lift tickets to the service window, and they gave us vouchers for a full day lift ticket any day this season - no questions asked. Reading this boss? Starting to feel a little sick next Wednesday...

Yelp
Okay first off today was epic December skiing, 25 degrees and sunny even if it's mostly man made snow... Here's where my complaints start with this fucking mountain. It's early december and it's $76 a day to ski, give me a fucking break. Not to mention that on the website it had pre season rates posted. This mountain lives off the fact that they have a gondola and not many others do. By the way the lines are ridiculous to get on this. Fact of the matter is, not today but usually they just over sell this place and it's usually way too overcrowded. I guess I just don't like paying out west prices at a shitty little mountain. It's a good once a year mountain...

Yelp
Well deserved reputation for steep blacks and blues, excellent snow making coverage and plenty of high speed quads and a gondola. Three different peaks with two geared for intermediate to advanced only, the snow is mostly well groomed and not overly skied. Each peak has a base lodge with one halfway up the mountain, good food, quick service and enough room. Frequent shuttles take trips between the various parking areas to the lodges. Easy on easy off from Lincoln, NH.

Yelp
Booked the studio through groupon! It definitely exceeded my expectations. Traveled with my fiance and 2 toddlers.. room was perfect and absolutely immaculate. Full kitchen and murphy beds and an unexpected balcony with a gorgeous mountain view. Food was good, nothing superb. Breakfast was great for the price but didn't have the menu items listed. I was disappointed i was unable to utilize my spa credit due to a wedding and they were fully booked all weekend. I would absolutely return based on the rate we paid for the weekend ($250) i would just book a spa service ahead of time.

Yelp
Pro: - more trail options than other areas nearby - lots of intermediate trail options, which is perfect for my ski level - access to tubing, which is a fun option for non-skiers or boarders -easy to get to from highways and pretty ample parking - food options close to the mountain, including a grocery store for provisions - trail maps are at base and top of each chairlift - awesome snow making ability. (this winter has seen little natural snow) Cons: - pretty expensive ($78 for adult day pass) - can get crowded fast, esp with lots of families - gondola is great, but line is tooooooo long - can get crowded at top of lift with groups gathering and boarders strapping into gear - if you are a true beginner, trail options are limited

Yelp
Visited Loon for the first time last weekend and loved it! Lots of pros, few cons. PROS: - Lots of intermediate trails with lots of different lifts/areas of the mountain - Friendly staff - Decent snow even after freezing rain/rain the night before - AMAZING waffles from The Waffle Hut CONS: - Rental process seemed a bit cumbersome and took a little while - Packed apres ski bar (see my other reviewe for the Blue Ox Lounge) - Expensive - but all ski mountains are these days!

Yelp
I'm not a skier our boarder, so I don't have the foggiest about things like slopes and resort accommodations. I was just at Loon for the Ice Castle, and can say that I was generally pleased with the experience. It was busy, and I didn't see any staff on hand to help with parking, but the patrons were surprisingly rational and aware of what was going on. Signage was lacking--we had trouble seeing the Ice Castle direction and parking signs, and signage at the Castle site was basically non-existent. We (and MANY other patrons) had Groupons for the night, and almost all went to the end of the line, not knowing there was a separate line--I'm so thankful the people behind us were kindly listening in on our conversation and brought us with them when they found out there was a separate line!! The Castle itself was awesome. The paths were large enough and not slippery (we saw people with canes, wheelchairs and strollers go through almost the entire space), the ice formations/fountains/lights were magical. It was like wandering in a faerie tale castle. Some areas got bogged up, but the Castle itself was large enough to go around and come back to a particular area later. I can't wait till next year.

Yelp
What a great ski resort! We spent most of our trip on the North Peak trails. North Peak quad is good and fast and leads to 3 of my favorite trails here. Upper and Lower Walking Boss had by far the best snow and conditions. Sunset is really nice too. I especially love the Loon bird sanctuary -- what a hidden gem!! The gondola continually draws in crowds, but the singles line moves along without a horrible wait time. I couldn't understand the train whistle I kept hearing until someone told me about the Loon train. So of course I dragged my boyfriend on the train because I've never seen one used to get from one end of a parking lot to the other. It's wood-fired, really well done and fun to ride! I think Loon has a lot to offer and I can't wait to come back!

Yelp
This is by far my favorite place to go snowboarding, I'm from Miami and started snowboarding last year, I've been around New England resorts and Loon is definitely the best. The trails are perfect to practice making my trips so much fun. Unlike other mountains resorts like Cannon where the trails are mixed up and very confused, I ended up on a black :( , at Loon if you just follow the green dots (seriously who can't do that) you'll be totally fine, family slopes if you are with your family. The beautiful Ice Castle. They have tubing, parks, so many trails from the bunny slope to the double black, zipline, cross country, daycare . Lunch break at one of the restaurants and at the end of the day you can chill out at the Bar. They have shuttles, from/to the different lodges. I just came back from there, we spent out Valentine's weekend there. Impossible not to be happy about Loon.

Yelp
The rental process took over an hour, they did not have enough people working at the counters or the helping people find the right boots and equipment. They had two people directing people to the computers to fill out paperwork upon entry and I thought that was unnecessary. One of those people could've been working the counters or rental equipment to speed up the process. They also had a perSon standing at the entrance of the lounge area turning people away who had food from the cafeteria downstairs or those underage even though children were still allowed in the area as long as they were accompanied. Just poor staffinG and planning but the choices of trails were still good. Only issue was there was ice in many of the trails which made snowboarding hard. This is mostly because it's early in the season but they should have warnings set up in certain areas etc.

Yelp
We just came to go tubing and we had a blast! $18/ person for an hour and we got about 7 runs within that time. Staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely not just a kids tubing area, fun for adults too! I would definitely recommend tubing here to anyone.

Yelp
I arrived at loon Mountain, off of natural remedies and ample amounts of stew, however at the ticket booth I was greeted by a gentleman by the name of Bob. Bob seemed more like he was off more cake than myself. than he based on his the level of rudeness and attitude I received. His comments were crass and I was getting the urge that he wasn't enjoying his job. Regardless, every request I made seemed like an inconvenience to Bob. This didn't settle right with me, as every time I attended the loon mountain resort I look forward to service comparable to chick-fil-a. Along with this, Bob continued to pester me with comments regarding my mask and the status of myself maintaining social distancing guidelines. At this point, I was convinced that Bob had lost it. This comments were made while I was wearing a mask. This was something that I didn't understand. Ultimate, my day of skiing at loon mountain and resort consisted of Bob's due diligence and mediocre power.
