In Mid Feb a very dusty car driving experience on an easy to drive, well maintained mostly dirt road. Plenty wildlife to see...just go slow and stop once in a while so you can actually see and enjoy it. A pure, close up Everglades experience and worthwhile trip if you take your time 1.5 to 2 hrs by car.

The Loop Drive in Everglades National Park is an excellent way to see wildlife up close for free. We saw plenty of birds and several alligators, even in December. The road is partly paved and partly off-road. A regular SUV can drive it without any issues — you just need to go a bit slower in some sections because of a few larger bumps, but nothing extreme. Driving around 20 mph is perfectly fine. You can safely stop along the road, and alligators are often visible right next to it. A great, authentic Everglades experience without crowds or extra costs.

Must have when visiting everglades. One thing is airboat tour the second is the loop road by your car. Discover the best you can see live. Find the place where AllCapone was caught and gasoline cost o.99 $ per Galon in 1920.

24 mile bypass - you'll reach the middle and see a sign, double sided, 12 miles to hwy 41. Gator trail close to one end, nature walk closer to the other. We had a lovely bike ride on the dirt road, stopping to observe the birds and gators. It was longer than anticipated since I hadn't properly done my homework and had gone off someone else's review of a 15 mile loop. To get back to where you started from it is closer to 42 miles, mile marker 58 to 40 on highway 41 to close the loop.

Big Cypress Loop Road is a fantastic 15-mile drive through the Everglades for the Nature Lover. I recommend this road all year round but especially during and after the rainy season when the alligators fill the roadside and the canal running along the roadside. It will be an unforgettable view of Florida's apex predator and many other wildlife.

Unforgettable experience with alligators in the wild nature 👍🏽 We didnot see a lot of them. You should have patience and stop on every bridge to look carefully into the water and find at least one or two alligators. Your car will be very dirty and dusty after this route.

Just wow, all swamp creatures direct in front of you. Drove in the morning and took so many nice pictures. Beware the Mosquitos are hungry but not as bad as I thought. Watch out for Alligators since they are everywhere when you step out of your car. The unpaved road conditions vary from good to moderate to very bumpy.
