"Loose blues is one of my favorite boutiques in the neighborhood, it is vintage, unique, and perfectly curated by the owners of the place: Jacky (Mexico) and Shota (Japan). They both run the place and are always willing to give great fashion advice. This small boutique has a basement for men; the ground level for vinyl records, zines and other publications; the first floor is for women. At the end of the store, you’ll find a stairway that will take you directly to Loose Blues Dining, they serve amazing food and drinks. It’s open daily." - Arlette Go
"A sliver of a boutique, with several levels, and discreetly tucked into a quiet street in the Juarez neighborhood, Loose Blues artfully serves up a clever selection of accessories and apparel for itsdeliberately insouciant, hipster clientele. Its curatorial strategy starts with staples like vinyl LPs and midcentury barware, then drills down to men’s and women’s clothes and footwear that walks a line between Bettie Page, lumberjack, and future shock. Once you’ve loaded up on Hawaiian shirts and skinny-girl jumpsuits, as well as tattoo-inspired and other Mexi-kitsch artworks, retreat to the upstairs café and restaurant, whose airy industrial vibe complements a menu of delights like herbal teas, artisanal brews, and light Japanese fare."

This boutique has a secret restaurant on top of it, which you can enter through a set of metal stairs at the back of the store. There are only 4 tables in the restaurant, each by the windows with great views of the courtyard. They serve Japanese Mexican fusion cuisine. They also had a locally made cola from the coca root, which was spiced and really tasty, and that’s from a girl who doesn’t like any sodas.

Loved the store in terms of ambiance/decor and curation of items for sale; and the employee was super helpful and genuine.
However, just got home from my trip to CDMX to find a shirt that I purchased from this shop for sale on the merchants website for over $100 cheaper. This is a steep markup that leaves me feeling taken advantage of as a tourist instead of satisfied and appreciative. What a bummer. Beware of pricing as some items are really overpriced (brand I bought is called Todayful). If I could return it I would, but sadly I have already traveled back to the states.

Great location, I loved to go through the store to find the restaurant. I had the French toast with berries and it was amazing, also got a fresh glass of grapefruit juice and coffee. Good music on the background and nice and calm atmosphere, had a great time for brunch with my friend

This place has amazing japanese fusion cuisine. It also features a great view of the fountain and circle below, local art, and a friendly staff. We came back a few times during our trip. Try the chilaquiles on sundays. The chicken katsu sandwich, salmon toast, and tuna burger are also excellent. The Iced coffee and Jamica soda are also amazing. Located above the clothing store. Go through the store and up the stairs at the back.

Food is good! Drinks are better!! Nice people and amazing atmosphere!!! But - Bit too dark for my taste - it was so dark that i couldnt see my own food! It felt as if it were a dining in darkness experience. Our table had one tiny candle and when we asked more candles for our dinner one of the staff made a face saying that it was the restaurants concept and we couldnt use more than one candle. Thats why i give 4 out of 5.

Yelp
Unfortunately poor service. I've entered the store twice and was met with unnecessary and surprising hostility.
Today, I had just finished washing my hands at Cicatriz and popped on over to take a look - just to dip in and out to check out the new merchandise with my mask on. The woman at the door insisted that she give me hand sanitizer, which I obliged. When I didn't rub it in, since ai have skin that rashes easily when she yelled at me that I could leave if I was to touch anything. I calmly replied that I had no intention to touch anything, only to take a look at the updated stock. In a huff she walked past me and said "selfish bitch."
I can't make this up. While I am empathetic of her responsibility to enforce the owners rules, I think it's clear that their training has failed them in creating a safe or inviting atmosphere.
I would encourage the management and the staff to update their knowledge of Covid transmission so that their protocols are based on science, and basic compassion.

Yelp
Walking by Washington Square at Juarez neighborhood in Mexico City, you will find a clothes store, that's the entrance for an interesting restaurant. Decorated in the hipster style, this place offers a variety of dishes, some of them made with organic products, including several oriental cuisine inspired. I got a hamburger and it was really awesome! Be patient, food preparation can take some time. Place can be some expensive but it worth it.
