Loose Moose / Antler Room

Went to Loose Moose after a Leafs game and it was a solid spot to hang out. I really liked the low lighting and overall vibe inside. It felt relaxed and lively without being overwhelming. The food was good overall, though the fries were not my favourite and did not taste like they were fried to order. Service was fine, nothing standout but no issues either. All in all, a good place to grab food and drinks and chill after a game. Would come back for the atmosphere alone.

Loose Moose / Antler Room is our go-to gathering spot downtown. The vibe is lively without being chaotic, perfect for catching up over great drinks and comfort food. We love the rotating taps, creative cocktails, and shareables—wings, nachos, and sliders never miss. Staff are upbeat and on the ball, even when it’s packed, and there’s always a good playlist (plus plenty of screens for game nights). Whether it’s a quick after-work meet or a longer hang with friends, it always feels easy, fun, and welcoming. Our downtown default—for good reason.

We are here for lunch today. Poutine and salad were great. Good vibes and atmosphere. My drink went empty and wasn’t refilled until we paid but other than that it was a good experience.

This place is pure fun. The burger was excellent, the raspberry lemonade was elite, and the shot called “My Ex Lover’s Heart”? LISTEN. It delivered exactly the level of petty satisfaction the name promises. A great spot if you want good food, good drinks, and a little comedic therapy in liquid form.

Wed night walk-in and we decided to sit at the bar to grab a quick bite and libations. Amy at the bar was cute and friendly and we stuck with local lagers which included Canadian Lager and Moosehead Lager - both really easy to drink. For food, I got the Spicy Mexican Rice Bowl ($21.21) with Tofu tossed in Buffalo sauce - Amy's recommendation to toss the Tofu with something, and that did the magic! Big portion size, but good on flavor. I couldn't finish the plate though! Noise levels got louder as the night progressed and it was kind of difficult to have a conversation while seated at the bar. Perfect place if you are looking for some good drinks and bar eats!

It was my first time trying Canadian food, and I really loved it. The poutine was delicious, and the burger was big and juicy. We enjoyed the entire meal!

After a day trip to Niagara Falls, I hopped on the two-hour train back to Toronto, arriving at Union Station around 7:45 pm. Hungry, thirsty, and in need of a good spot, I wandered just 150 meters from the station — and there it was: The Loose Moose. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I’d stumbled upon a gift from the gods. I ordered their loaded nachos with extra guacamole, plus BBQ chicken. My friend went for the “Woods” Burger. Every bite was spot on — fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. The sauces they serve with each dish aren’t just an afterthought; they elevate the whole experience. The atmosphere is lively without being overwhelming, and the staff are nothing short of excellent — friendly, attentive, and quick to make you feel at home. Then there are the beers. If anyone doubts Canada’s brewing game, The Loose Moose is the place to set them straight. The variety and quality on tap are impressive, with something for every taste. Whether you’re just off the train or exploring downtown, this spot delivers on food, drink, and good vibes. I left full, happy, and already planning my next visit.

Spotted in before a blue jays game and our server was fantastic. She knocked it out of the park and was super friendly. Place was packed but still managed to get in and out quickly. Got the BBQ burger which was top tier. Double patties was nice. As well as poutine which was a great change of pace for a non local. Great stop before a jay’s game

VERY UNEXPECTEDLY GOOD! We just randomly happened to come to dinner to this place with a friend because it was walkable from the apartment we were at. A real hidden gem here! Pineapple Paradise Cocktail (Malibu, Soho Lychee Liqueur, pineapple, lime) was absolutely delicious. It was like juice where you don't even taste the alcohol! A dangerously good drink haha. The Woody Burger (ouble stacked beef patties, BBQ brushed, American cheese, bacon, really special sauce, caramelized onion, served on bacon focaccia) - Husband ordered this because it just sounded so yum! I what have usually asked to replace the beef with chicken, and didn't usually order beef burgers, but OH MY! Such a delicious burger! The beef and sauce and onions and everything went so well together. Very creative focaccia as well! A very large burger too. Side House Salad with the burger was Huge! Places usually skimp out on the portion or size when it comes to side salads but this was really good! So large! And the dressing was delicious! Chicken Avocado Club Sandwich - Friend ordered this and said it was yum! Not too big a portion size here, but yum. Sweet Potato Fries on the side were flavorful too. Not super crispy as normal fries are, but it's like you keep reaching for more, haha. 1lb Award Winning Chicken Wings (Garlic Chili) - Husband and friend shared this and devoured it! I only tried the sauce and it was actually so good! Med-East Crunch Salad (Mixed greens, chickpea, carrot, red & green pepper, cucumber, grape tomato, radish, crispy corn tortilla, cilantro, cumin & paprika vinaigrette) - This was my order. What a DELICIOUS salad! I asked for dressing on the side and added only about 1 tsp and 1tsp of the dressing form the house salad. Combination was lovely! Overall a really filling and delicious salad. Also got the grilled chicken on the side and the meal was perfect!

Boy, is this a great place! The ambiance is that of a giant sports pub, with lots of fun Blue Jay fans lining the seemingly endless bar. Hubby and I found seats somewhere in the middle and enjoyed our first Canadian poutine (just cheese and gravy). It was a very good, and stick-to-your-ribs kinda food. I don't remember the bartender's name, but she was very nice and hustled to keep all the patrons happy. If I found myself in Toronto again, I would definitely return to watch a game there with some Mill Street beers!

Had a burger and some poutine. The burger was not very good. Poutine was fine. Service was good.

Had a recommendation from a baseball book to stop here before the Blue Jays game so decided to check it out. Great building, plenty of space, very industrial feel. Lots of seating inside and large bar. We ordered chips and guac and beers. Pricier end for a drink, but they had a few specials (unfortunately the beer on special I wanted was kicked ... ) but service was great and very friendly. Check them out!

A good bar to have some drinks and bar food right outside of Union Station! This spot is conveniently located outside of Union Station right when you get out. Is it the best food you can get? Short answer is no. But when you're at a sports bar wanting some affordable drinks and fried foods, this is not a bad option at all! Servers here are nice and quick to get you what you need. Bar food is great, especially the nachos, as it was easy to have for the table to share. Ambiance is what you'd expect at a sports bar, loud and fun! Would definitely come here again for a quick drink and bite before an event.

Food was good. A little better than basic bar food. Our server was fantastic though. He forgot to put our drink order in but totally owned it, apologized, rushed to get them and took an item off our tab. That is great service and his positive attitude was infectious.

Drinks - They were out of the 2 drinks I wanted to try: the Pineapple Paradise and the Gummi Worm. I ended up getting a soda instead of having to pick another drink. Food - Ordered the Chimichurri Steak Sandy and the Loaded Poutine. Steak Sandy was under the Big A$$ Sandwiches section, but it's more of a medium sized sandwich (think 2 sliders big). Thin piece of steak, but the aioli is flavorful. Loaded Poutine is big and shareable or can be someone's entree. Service - We were sat right away. Server was friendly. She made some recommendations for an alternate drink, but I didn't feel like trying those out. Atmosphere - Big place with an industrial feel. It's probably pretty busy on Fridays and Saturdays.

I absolutely LOVED The Loose Moose - it's a HUGE spot in a great location by Scotiabank with an absolutely massive bar and a ton of seating. The food is decent bar food and there are a lot of beers on tap, specialty cocktails, wines you would expect from a sports bar, but most importantly, a ridiculously friendly staff. During the 2 nights I was in Toronto, I hit the Moose both nights (and had been there during a prior visit as well - I'm a creature of habit, what can I say?). They play a variety of sports on their huge TVs and also showcase music videos on the screen, which is a nice departure from some of the bars in the area that show the news - you get a break from being inundated as you start drinking. We were able to watch one of the Premier League games while there, so that was really nice to come in while it was on versus having to ask to change channels. During that game, it was a slower time during happy hour, but even so, within a half hour of us arriving there, people started coming in droves before the Maple Leafs game over at Scotia. The Loose Moose stacks the bar with bartenders and they are truly on it. Then we came during a SUPER busy time, before a concert, but were lucky enough to grab some bar seats and still received the same incredibly friendly and attentive level of service. As stated, the food is bar food, but is done well overall - we got the jalapeno popper dip, which was DELISH, and the barbeque wings as well (big portions of everything). A great spot to get some snacks to share with a group and the burgers also looked awesome. This will definitely continue to be in the rotation for future trips to Toronto! Anywhere with an extensive beer/drink list (and Matua as their NZ Sauv Blanc), excellent service, and a very cool vibe?! Always a win.

This is our first time in Toronto and the first restaurant we hit up since it was close to our hotel ....and we happened to come here on the night of the Stanley cup game so it was LOUD! We had little kids with us too and I was worried that it would be too much of a bar scene. I'm not sure if there are just other way more amazing restaurants in town, but we thought everything here was excellent so I don't understand the low reviews. The staff was nice, and accommodating to our kids and the food was delicious!

Our server was awesome, gave menu help but also gave us some tips of things to do in the area. The Woody Burger was huge and tasty. The steak bowl was missing the chimmichuri sauce but still trusted good. Hubby said the fish sandwich was amazing. Good margarita as well!

The service was very friendly and quick. We told them we were on a bit of a time crunch and they were really good with that. The cheeseburger was delicious! Double patty which I didn't anticipate so it was very filling but yum! The fries were very good too. I kept picking at them even after saying I was done and full. Busy place but not surprised as it is right downtown.

My friend and I ended up here for a late dinner on a Saturday night. Classic sports bar options. I had a burger, which was two thin smash patties, lettuce, tomato, and pickles on a brioche bun. I had the option of fries, house salad, or Caesar salad, and opted for a house salad. Nothing revolutionary; the food was fine. Our waitress was really nice. This is a sports bar. If you're a sports fan, I have no doubt that this would be a great place to watch a game. If you're just here to eat, I would avoid coming at the same time as a game. It was super loud and the crowd was a bit rowdy.

I really loved the vibe of this bar. We did a walk in to watch the march madness semi finals at this location. Their seating downstairs was pretty nice with pretty good screens. The servers took our order in a timely manner. :) We got beers and shared one of the truffle fries. Came in pretty fresh!

I am not a poutine connoisseur by any stretch, but when I get a chance to visit Canada you're damn right that's what I'm having. In addition to as many Labatt's and Molson's I can handle. That said, the poutine I had here was just average. It pretty much tastes like any knock-off recipe you can find in the States. Ok, I get it, it's three ingredients, not hard to make. I guess I was at least expecting the gravy to be a bit more unique? I don't think it helped that it took the bartender 15 minutes to take my order, even though it was a Monday night and the place was near-empty. All in all, it wasn't bad....just whelming.

The food here was absolutely terrible, so bad that I knew I had to throw up about 5 minutes after eating it. Buffalo chicken sandwich not at all "Buffalo" style. Sweet potatoes fries were so soft it seemed like they were barely cooked. My friend had a burger and fries and both were also terrible. Go somewhere else, Toronto has so much good food don't waste your time and money on this place.

I attended an event at the downstairs floor of this pub, they provided grilled cheese, chicken wings, poutine, sliders, veggie platters, and mini hot dogs, as well as drinks. The food was very mediocre, even when they brought "fresh" dishes out it did not taste good. The service was not the best, I felt like I was being rushed to eat because the server kept asking to take my plate before I was finished eating. The vibe is pub style, dimly lit, loud, and a bit dirty.

Another night in Toronto and another game of playoffs baseball! The place was heaving and we had a couple of burgers - cheeseburger and Mushroom burger - and a couple of drinks. Maria our server was very attentive and helped us out and even arranged the salad as an extra instead of the fries. Food and ambiance terrific. (We left before the end of the game...sadly...didn't end well for the Bue Jays). All in all, a great night.

This rustic bar is a great spot to catch up with buddies or to watch a sports game. I usually come here for convenience, as it's right by Union Station and they are able to accept walk-ins.

We went here two times while visiting Toronto. Both times we've been were excellent. My husband, our two best friends, their 5 year old daughter and myself all thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Everyone we interacted with that worked there were so friendly. First night, my friend and myself had the fish and chips, it didn't disappoint. Definitely the top 5 best fish fry I've ever had. The 2nd visit, we all had burgers and omg!! To die for! They even make the buns in house. The kiddo in our party had chicken fingers both nights and loved them. Whenever we return to Toronto, we will be back!

A sports bar with a super long bar. I enjoy vanilla porter because of their stouts on tap were out. Bummer. Otherwise good service. Prices were a little higher than other places.

Good place in downtown Toronto for beer and bar food. Nachos, loaded fries, burgers etc. very friendly staff, lots of different beers on tap. Close to Roger's center, cnn tower, train station and most attractions

Coincidentally the loose moose is actually the name of the restaurant and also my nickname after a night out on the town. The place was tasty and had a nice interior (there were cow butts on the wall which kinda gave the place a bit of style). The poutine was super good but absolutely cleaned out my insides when I went back to my hotel. Also my dad ordered a burger medium rare and the waiter said that they can only do burgers well done due to "laws and regulations." Wtf. Somebody get Trudeau on the phone so we can change these laws and regulations."

Food was average. We got the poutine and a burger, it was okay but nothing that I would have to come back for. The real kicker of the night was trying to get a receipt for insurance reasons and having the manager tell us no. They were handwriting the receipts that night and couldn't even take time to hand write us an itemized receipt. Poor customer service. In summary, okay food but nothing special, and poor customer service which gives it the 2 star

Great location. Nice vibe. The loaded poutine was the best we have ever had anywhere. What truly made this such a wonderful experience dinning at The Loose Moose was our waiter Matt. He is a true Canadian with a dynamic personality, who provided great service.

Pretty big place they have an upstairs and downstairs. We arrived during peak hour of the Hockey game so they were busy. Our main reason for stopping by was to try the "Poutine". We ordered the 2 different Poutines they have on the menu and they were pretty good. Mixed drinks were not it here so I stuck to beer to get my monies worth. They do have lots of TVs around but during a Hockey game that is all they will play for you. I know people were being told the wait was 1-1.5 hrs long we waited about 45min.

A favorite of a lot of our friends when visiting Toronto. Food and atmosphere are great.

Found this place online and though it would be a great pregame for the Jays game. I was right. We had a few drinks and wings - everything was amazing. Our server, Mary, was incredible. She was so sweet and took great care of us. We loved her!

Fantastic food and service. Prices reasonable and decent size menu. Great bar and drink selections. A keeper for sure.

A friend and I stopped by shortly after 5 pm last Sat. afternoon after partaking in Doors Open. I've been coming to The Loose Moose for a large number and wide variety of Events/occasions since 2003, at which time they occupied their lower level only which has long since been renamed The Antler Room due to their expansion to the upper (main) floor. Despite living close by, I didn't start going to the venue on a more regular basis until 2013 when I received the news that they were greatly expanding their beer selection. Some of the Events I've been to at The Loose Moose over the years are Hallowe'en (which included a pumpkin carving contest), New Year's Eve 2 years in a row with a beer lovers social Group I used to help organize and a local Brewery's Anniversary Party. In addition, about 10 years ago the venue had a 'Stein Club' in The Antler Room downstairs which I joined for 1 year; for $10-11 you obtained rental of a stein (a 32 oz beer glass) and discounts on selected beers. I used my stein 3 times, thereby just breaking even when figuring the total amount of the discounts I received against the cost of joining the Club. On Sat. my friend and I experienced prompt, quite friendly and helpful service; the bar was fairly barren when we arrived and we were seated right at the front where the big windows were open so we enjoyed a bit of a breeze. By the time we left around 6:45 pm the main floor had become considerably more crowded with other customers. The venue is basically considered to be a quite large sports Bar which also often features live bands performing downstairs in The Antler Room with a dancing floor facing the stage. Yes, the venue can get noisy on game days/nights, especially when a Toronto team is playing; of course it can also get noisy on non-game nights, i.e. on the weekend around dinnertime and/or at night. So you should take this into consideration if you're not a sports fan and you don't like crowded and noisy venues when looking for a suitable place for drinks/food. Being in the Downtown core close to two subway stations and many other amenities (including The Rogers Centre and Scotiabank Arena) makes The Loose Moose a very convenient bar to drop into.

We dropped by this place twice while we were visiting Toronto. The burgers were amazing. The drinks were good too. This was among the best food we had while visiting town. We'll visit again when we return.

Fabulous food and service. The staff is wonderful and the restaurant very inviting. Grab a booth and hang out. And get the mousse. Unique and yummy dessert.

Great bar for a fun time. Before or after a Jays game, the perfect place to get amped for a game, celebrate a win, or mourn a loss.

A recommended spot at this price point within the CN Tower / RIpley's / Rec Room area. It is a shadow of its glory days but remains a middle-of-the-road spot for families and young clients looking for something not massively expensive (though you will stay pay more due to location).

I visited Loose Moose with a friend because I was in search of the best Poutine in Toronto. My friend was visiting from out of Canada and she was going to try out Poutine for the 1st time. We ordered a plate of Poutine to share and it was sizeable. I also had a Caesar salad and it was really good. The server was also very friend and polite. Overall I'll rate the experience 4/5.

Great atmosphere at an elevated sports bar! I was absolutely not expecting the food to be as good as it was. The fish and chips platter had one giant piece of fish, hot and crispy. The chicken avocado club was a really good sandwich on toasted sourdough, the avocado/lettuce/tomatoes were fresh and it had just the right amount of garlic aioli. The fries were also notably good! Our waitress couldn't have been more warm and welcoming, checking in on us right when we needed refills, despite managing a lot on a packed game day. It was a beer day for us, but do love that they offer a 50 oz pitcher of hard seltzer.

The Loose Moose? More like the Greatest Of All Time Moose. This restaurant was nothing short of incredible. Being an American, I know a thing or two about burgers. Loose Moose's burgers are on my top 5 of greatest burgers ever created. The service was great, the food was even better. I tasted poutine for the first time, and now I see why my friend's brother gained 20 pounds from eating so much of it. Poutine is great. The Loose Moose curates unbelievable food, and I enjoyed every second of being in it. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would.

Came down for a hockey game and checked this pub out. Ordered the mushroom burger-$23.72 and Niagara Rose Cider-$10.75. The burger was double smashed patties with mushroom and house sauce. The meat patties were very moist and enjoyable! The cider was a bit different from traditional. All in all good simple options to enjoy without wrapping your head over large menu choices.

Large, classic pub around the corner from the Metro Convention Centre. The basic cheeseburger was excellent: I was a little concerned at the "double stacked" description but it's filling without being enormous. Their medium is really a medium rare, which is perfect. The side of poutine was great for a taste and could totally be shared, I haven't found real poutine in LA since my favorite (Québécois) restaurant closed a few years ago. I was missing it, and the version at the Loose Moose is pretty good. Service is fast, and they have a large selection of beers on tap.

Good pregame or concert place. Attentive servers and a wide selection of beer and pub food. I enjoyed the loaded poutine, perfect for soaking up the suds! A regular haunt on days like these. Large clean washrooms too!

Loose moose is a great spot for good beer, great service and live music at an affordable price. They have the dark and light beer duel at $6 which is unbeatable. I loved the dark beer and my husband loved his light beer, so it was really a cheap date. I must warn that the food was very mediocre. We ordered bar food like truffle fries and nachos. Both were pretty ok, nothing to write home about. Our waitress Lisa was amazing. She was patient, friendly and prompt. Ambiance wise it's very vibrant, loud music and they kept the front windows open which was more like a garage door which kept the cool air coming in. It felt really nice and you can see all the street action too. There was a live band in the Antler Room in the basement which I think is the biggest attraction. Next time we're going to grab our duel beers and go down and dance. It'll be a fun night without breaking the bank!

Last time I came here was in 2019, so I thought it was worth a visit after going to Comic Con nearby. We were seated quickly. The staff was knowledgeable and promptly got us drinks. However the food took quite some time to come out. The Big Bird (southern fried chicken) wasn't too bad but it was slightly dry. However, the Mic-Drop (fancy poutine) tasted funny. After some detective work, we figured it was the truffle oil which ruined the dish. Next time I would have gone for the classic poutine as the safer option and at the same price.

First time here after a concert at Scotiabank Arena, and luckily, the kitchen was still open. It was bar service only, so we sat at the high tops. We ordered a chicken avocado club with fries, and it was good, but the bottom slice of bread was already soaked upon arriving. We also had the Cobb salad, which was pretty good, but it was lacking dressing and heavy on blue cheese. The service was friendly. The place was loud and dark if you're into that.

Overall great experience at this dining establishment. Their staff was very friendly, personable and funny. Although they were busy they took the time to chit chat with every guest. The food was the best, we ordered the fish and chips and couldn't finish it all. Great taste at a reasonable price. This was the best bang for our buck in the downtown Toronto area. A can't miss!
