Loosies Pizza isn't obvious because there's no sign on the building itself but if you look for 300. 103 or a sign out in the central walkway, you'll find it quickly enough. The place is certainly worth a visit for its well baked thin crust pizza. Topping are generous and a good quality. My favorite is the white pizza which is elegant and tasty Although I preferred using a few ample shakes of the garlic salt on the counter to amp up flavor. Four solitary tables sit outside and I must admit that it's not exactly a welcoming café vibe with almost no shade but it's better than nothing or than sitting inside the dark, some might call it creepy, interior. But it's that kind of place edgy/hip. The bathroom Continues to reflect the alternative dark vibe and overall, the place is hip

This pizza is so good! I didn't even know Loosies was in this area, I live like 5 minutes away. My wife and I started with a slice of cheese to try and WOW. The sauce was so good. The crust is nicely cooked. And the undercarriage was great. No flop on the cheese slice. When we realized how delicious this pizza was, we decided then and there to order a whole pepperoni. And wow. 10/10. Loosies has to be my new favorite pizza place. So much better than almost every other joint in OC. Can't wait to come back!

Google
Between here and Mike's Firestone Pizza in Fullerton, I've finally found good NY style no flop crispy undercarriage pizza in the southland! Loosies lunch special is killer, great pizza! Crispy, but not well done like Mike's, a different but good pie 👌 The ranch was so good to, omg 😋

Google
Loosies pizza is bomb! I have been doing a lot of research on best pizza in OC, and this one kept popping up and decided to give it a try. If you want just a slice or two of NY style pizza this is the spot. I was really impressed by the pizza here. The crust was perfectly crisp and crunchy, the cheese had the right amount of oily goodness and the sauce had a nice tang. Overall, a near perfect slice of NY style pizza, highly recommend! There's not a whole lot of seating in the area, so probably more of a grab and go type of place. The service was quick and helpful!

Google
Drove 15 miles just because I wanted to try a decent place with thin New York style slices and this place had decent reviews however, I felt that this was not bad but not good just in the middle. ultimately I wouldn’t come back and spend $12 on two slices + soda. I tried it and give it a shot, but I’ll pass for next time.

Google
This place is awesome! I have seen it pop up a few times. Being from the east coast I’m always trying to find good pizza. This is my new spot. And it was only a 20 minute wait for a pie. Highly recommend if you are looking for a real New York style pizza.

Google
One of our favorite spots to hit while vacationing in OC. This is one of the better NY style slices I've had anywhere and easily my favorite pizza place in the entire state of California. Love the feel of the neighborhood too. Keep making amazing pies and I'll be back twice a year when I'm in town!

Google
Great place to get a thin and crispy slice. It’s a small shop with a few tables outside we like to sit at. Parking garage is across the street.

Yelp
Loosies definitely brought back some nostalgic of the NYC pizza vibes once you walk in. The Christmas colored lights, the wall decor and all the wonderful smell of fresh pizza. Everyone that walked in seemed like they knew the hosts/servers. Service was quick and there was a wide variety of beverages to choose from, so we opted for the lemon lime seltzer. Would def recommend for anyone trying to visit NYC, grab a quick slice of pizza but only needing to visiting Orange County!

Yelp
Craving that New York slice? Look no further. Also if you ever get a chance to try their speciality princess peach when they have it again, don't let it slip through your fingers. Classic pepperoni and there is just something special about their white Ferrari that keeps me coming back. Big shout out to the staff that always recognize me and make this my go to pizza spot when that craving hits.

Yelp
I was born in NYC and moved to California a few years ago. And since I've left NY, I crave for a NY slice every now and then. This place is small and could be easily missed if you do not pay attention. There are like three tables and a couple high seats along the left wall. However service is fast and friendly! Moving on to the pizza. The pizza is good, but not the same as a NY slice. My search will continue, but it was pretty close. When I got my pizza, my crust was too crisp.
google avatar

Yelp
So my kid and I went back since we're craved for pizza and it got couple slices while we waited for the whole pizza - still worth driving from LB to downtown Santa Ana for it. It goes well with beers (they do have beers (can) too Still my top 3 Fav pizza place in OC.

Yelp
Great place to grab a slice of pizza in dtsa. The pizza was good and was pretty fresh. I like how they have by the slice if you don't want to commit to a larger pizza. My only complaint is the hours can be tricky so make sure to check that before coming. Overall solid spot will be back.

Yelp
A New York-style pizza spot in the middle of Downtown Santa Ana? Yes, you heard that right! Loosies has been around for several years and they are serving up tasty slices of pizza. I came by recently for lunch and I got their lunch special which was 2 slices and a drink. Prices are pretty affordable I got their White Ferrari & Margherita slices. The White Ferrari was a great white slice with loads of cheese on top and a crispy and chewy crust. The Margherita was a classic slice and it had great flavor with a nice bit of pesto on top with great crust. There's plenty of seating available outside at the patio and some seating inside where you can enjoy your pizza. Service was friendly and quick and I had my food out in no time. The inside is colorful and nicely themed. They also have merch for sale. You can find parking on the street or at one of the structures nearby.

Yelp
Solid thin crust pizza place. Very cute decor we came during Christmas time and the place was very cute. Ordered every type of slice offered in the case plus the caprese salad. They had the pepperoni, cheese, Hawaiian and the white Ferrari(garlic & cheese). Caprese came with two slices of toast that was salted heavily to go with the salad. The woman at the front said they make their Caesar salad dressing in house so might have to try that next time. Overall everything tasted good. Some sort of sauce on the side is a must because the pizzas get a bit dry. They don't offer any crazy styles just simple standard flavors so I recommend just getting a full pie because it's more worth. They have one bathroom and indoor and outdoor seating.

Yelp
Who eats pizza and then goes for a run? Me! Yum, yum, yum! I had some time to kill before run club and was actually looking for tacos on Yelp, but when zooming in on the map, I noticed Loosies. And the NY-style pizza looked amazing, so scrapped the taco idea and came for pizza instead! Indoor and outdoor seating (note: it was quite warm inside). Really enjoyed the flavor of the sauce. Just the right amount of cheese. Crust was cooked to perfection; I actually ate all the crust (I'm usually guilty of leaving some "ends.") Highly recommend! 2024: 36/100

Yelp
First pizza spot in Santa Ana I have ever been to. The ham and pineapple pizza was good. The restaurant reminded me of a bar setting because of the vibe and bar tops.

Yelp
This is a legit New York slice, approved by my NY husband and his NY bff. Well done, Loosies!

Yelp
Food: the pizza slices are HUGE! And they are such a great price. I ended up getting their pesto pizza and it was delicious. Service: the service was quick, you were not left waiting around for your pizza slice and they made sure that we had a box to take our food home in. Ambiance: it's a small establishment in the busy historic district. There's not much seating but that didn't bother us because there's so many places to walk around and sight see in the area and plenty of seating outside. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
not sure if it lives up to new york pizza because i've never had it but it is AMAZING thin crust pizza (and as good as i expect new york pizza to be)!!!! i was craving some scrumptious crispy chewy thin crust pizza and stumbled upon loosies on yelp. it looked like pizza worth venturing outdoors in 100 degree weather for and man was i right to we came on a saturday for lunch and parked in the parking structure behind the 4th street market. i think it's free parking for the first hour or two and it was just a quick walk across the street to loosies! the place itself is pretty small but theres a decent amount for seating; some tables outside on the patio and two tables and bar seating against the wall. my bf and i both decided to get 2 slices each: one of the specialty pizza of the day and one hawaiian. please do not yuck my yum, ill get it out in the area and preface that i love pineapple on pizza. for single slices they only serve whatever they have in the display case so dont look at the menu for what they have. then they just heat up your slices in the oven so it's pretty fast service. the guy serving us was really nice too and explained how it worked. he also informed me of everything that was on the specialty pizza, which i do not remember but he said it had some amazing sauce and corn and crumbled meat on it and i was sold. my bf and i were in consensus that that pizza somehow tasted like california LOL or like a taco. one or the other but it was really good!!! all the flavors meshed really well and the crust was suuperr crispy without being hard which was my favorite. the hawaiian was also delicious; not as crispy as the other one but still held its shape and had bite. i like that this place uses thinner but bigger slices of pineapple as opposed to the little chunks. it was around $4 per slice of pizza so it's a little on the expensive side especially compared to nyc but for ca prices its average lol i would definitely say its worth it though! 2 slices was enough to fill me up and i didnt feel sick of eating pizza after so a meal for less than $10 is a win for me. if youre looking for some good new york style or thin crust pizza, this place is it!! but also, keep loosies a secret :)

Yelp
One of the best slices of pie I've had in a minute! Legit NY foldable slice. @stoolpresidente @onebite would approve! No frills munchie style spot. Eclectic decor in DTSA.

Yelp
Just thinking of writing this review is making me crave another slice of pizza from Loosies! I am so happy I came across this recommendation. Pizza sauce tends to give me heartburn but not from Loosies Pizza. We ordered a whole pepperoni and jalapeño pizza. First of all, thank you Loosies for using fresh jalapeños and not vinegar jalapeños. It's a whole different taste and one that I can appreciate more, especially because they are crunchy. You know what else has that crunch? The crust. Yummy!!! Pizza was baked enough to have that crunch from the center to the edge but soft enough to fold in the middle before taking that bite. Also, this is thin crust style of pizza. I highly recommend Loosies Pizza!

Yelp
As an east coast transplant to Southern California, it's easy to guess I am a sucker for good pizza and my search for the closest east coast style pizza is endless. I've been called a pizza snob because I don't consider franchise or chain pizza restaurants any good. Well, well, along comes Loosies Pizza, a small place that opened up in the heart of 4th Street downtown Santa Ana that's become our family's go to spot for a number of reasons. First and foremost, the taste and the crust, top notch ! If you like a thick doughy doughnut like crust, this place is not for you, I prefer mine thin crunchy and toasted. One of the problems I've encountered with franchise pizza is the amount of different sizes available kid size, personal size, large, larger, gigantic?!? All makes for an inconsistent cook. At Loosies there's only one perfect size so the pizza is always consistently cooked and the slices are always proportionate. The service is terrific, while the place is small, plenty of room to grab a slice sit and enjoy. There's outdoor sitting as well and again it's in the heart of the scenic 4th St. Downtown markets. If you want to pick up some pies, consistently around 20 minutes and they're ready. Come and enjoy the closest east coast pizza in the west coast.

Yelp
KEEP LOOSIES A SECRET! Loosies was an open secret for a few years, hiding in plain sight across from Detention and a few steps away from the Yost Theater in Downtown Santa Ana's Historic District. I must have walked by at least a half dozen times without noticing it, but word of mouth is that Loosies serves some of the best New York-style pies in OC. I stopped by to investigate. If you like thin, NY style slices, Loosies is definitely that. At $4 - $5.29 a slice, I'd say 2 slices are enough for a light, lunch on the run: I got the Pepperoni and the White Ferrari, which is white pie with dollops of ricotta cheese on top. I like my pizzas more robust and angular (I'm a square pie guy) but for a quick snack while you're strolling down La Cuatro, Loosies got my goosies!
google avatar

Yelp
NY Pizza in a great location. The only New York pizza that rivals it in OC is Terra Mia. If you think this is your favorite, I won't fight you, but my loyalties lie with Terra Mia. That said, Loosie's is a great option and great crust. Authentic, delicious, no BS
google avatar

Yelp
Cute place great service $5 per slice. I got the white pizza and hubby got pepperoni a good grab and go place.

Yelp
FYI, this place is in the heart of downtown Santa Ana so it's quite a headache to find parking and locate the shop itself. But never mind that, let's get to the important stuff which is the review on the pizza. When I got there, there was a fly buzzing around and landing on the cheese pizza that was on display. Not exactly an appetizing sight to see. So after seeing that, I automatically opted for the Hawaiian and the pepperoni instead. The guy who rang me up was friendly so I appreciated that. After about 5 minutes, the pizza came out. It wasn't as hot as I expected; it was disappointingly a bit lukewarm for some reason. I'm a huge of NY style pizza and a bit of a snob about it so having said that, the taste of the pizza was good but wasn't fantastic as the other reviews claim. It didn't make me think that I HAVE to come back for it. Plus the slices are almost $5 a piece which is on the pricier side for pizza if you ask me. I would definitely eat here again if I happened to be the area but would I go out of my way for it again in the future? Probably not.
google avatar

Kathrina C.

Yelp
Two slices of pizza and a drink for $8 is a deal but patio wasn't that great, so many flies. Pizza was ok but nothing special. Service was fast and friendly.
google avatar

Hannah W.

Yelp
I wasn't even hungry when I ordered I just knew I needed food... I ended up fighting my family for the last slice. This was delicious, foldable, fresh... not pictured is the salad which we also all inhaled and the black and white cookies which you guessed it, we inhaled. Definitely give this spot a try!!

Yelp
My son loves pizza and I am always on the hunt for it. I saw Loosies at the LA Pizzafest this past spring and have been meaning to check them out. I am so glad we did because it's great. Twice we've gone in to order pepperoni slices and took home a whole pepperoni pie. They're consistent with the right amount of cheese and pepperoni (not a huge fan when there's a lot of cheese) and their dough/crust is thin and slightly crispy. Ranch is delicious, it's house-made with a lil hint of fresh dill -none of that hidden valley stuff here. Great to see OC has a decent spots for NY style pizza! Also, kudos to the Saturday afternoon staff, they very personable and genuine. Very hard to come across that level service these days in fast casual setting. The shop is very organized as well as clean. There is seating inside and outside, plenty of tables and counter seating. Definitely making this our Saturday afternoon spot.

Yelp
We came on a busy Sat and they ran out of slices so we had to get a pie. No complaints here because the pizza was crispy, fresh, cheesy, & delicious! We liked how the Hawaiian pizza had big chunks of pineapple unlike other pizza joints. There was also a DJ but the music was pretty loud ngl. Overall a great place for NY style pizza!

Erica R.

Yelp
Some of the best thin crust pizza I've ever had. Came here with a native from NYC, said it was the closest to real NY pizza in SoCal. Cheap, good food. We got a slice of regular cheese & pepperoni and the other with white sauce. I look forward to going back.

Yelp
Great food, best of the best service, and great ambiance special the girl in white she is georgus

Yelp
How in the world does Loosies produce the amazing pizza they do? First of all, they're in LA. LA is the antithesis of NYC (home of some of the best pizza in the world). Second, the sauce that impresses me isn't even red sauce, or even more shocking, there is no sauce (yet another hallmark of great pizza)! Lastly, again, they're in LA which bums me out since I'm nowhere near there (much like NYC lol). So their White Ferrari is the must-try. Don't get a slice. Get a pie. Trust me, you're gonna eat the whole thing. Thin crust for foldability. Cheese combination is genius. And who doesn't love garlic? Dracula, I guess. Maybe. I still can't tell if they use any sauce but I swear they gotta be saucing something somewhere. I think we also got a slice of cheese and Hawaiian. S'alright. Stick with the White Ferrari. Cool spot. Tip these super friendly folks well.

Yelp
The restaurant itself is cute pizzeria located in down town Santa Ana. Inside it's cozy, urban & welcoming. I went with a classic and ordered an XL cheese pizza for my first visit for about $22. The melted cheese stretches down the pizza just like in cartoons . The sauce tasted fresh and wasn't too overpowering and the crust has the proper crisp : softness ratio. Definitely coming back here again. Wish they had beef or chicken topping's though :( That staff were great too.
google avatar

Cheif F.

Yelp
Best NY pizza we have had in CA in a while. We asked for the pie to be cooked well and it was, which hardly happens anywhere. We also liked that the pizza was not covered in pepperoni. Sometimes it gets overwhelming! But the pepperoni cups were good and tasted like good quality. Took about 20 minutes to be done. It was a little crowded and it's a tight space. Was not inexpensive but we liked the quality so much we will be back. Looking forward to stopping by to grab individual slices in different flavors. Wish they were open on Mondays when I could just hop over when I am in the office down the street!
google avatar

Konstantin I.

Yelp
Best NY style pizza in OC. Light and crispy dough with great sauce and perfect cheese ratio.
google avatar

Stephanie T.

Yelp
Closest taste to a New York pizza here in Orange County. It's hard to find a pizza spot that sells by the slice and this place is a go-to. I recommend a classic pepperoni but a white Ferrari is delicious too. Service is excellent every time and the music is always so chill and laid back.
google avatar

Sherluna V.

Yelp
Crust was amazing - thin and crispy! The reason I docked a star was because the white Ferrari was plain. Not much flavor to it. My husband got the pepperoni and that was pretty classic. I like that this place you can get it by the slice! Small interior but there's some seating if you want a quick bite. I would come back to try the Hawaiian slice.
google avatar

Maria G.

Yelp
My favorite pizza spot in Santa Ana! Never disappoints! The slices are always fresh and love the chill atmosphere with neon lights and most amazing staff! Like their motto goes keep loosies a secret iykyk
google avatar

Celeste F.

Yelp
Checked out this place with the family after leaving discovery cube. Would definitely come back as the pizza was pretty good! Loved the thinness and sauce!
google avatar

Gustavo B.

Yelp
This is my second time at this pizza shop. The first time was great, but this second time around when I went in..not so much. One of the workers didn't wash their hands when garnishing the pizza. This was after seeing her go throw trash outside and come back in and still she didn't wash her hands(she had long nails which can be even more unsanitary).
google avatar

Todd M.

Yelp
A hidden little pizza spot that you have to try. Everything about the pizza is quality and cooked to perfection. We always get a large pizza and a Caesar salad. Their Caesar salad dressing is amazing. if you want some good pizza check them out.

Robert W.

Yelp
Perfect place to get a classic NY loosie, or better yet, a whole pie. The pepperoni is da bomb. The "Hawaiian" with the thinly sliced, smoky ham and the fresh pineapple slices are perfect! The Ferrari with added mushrooms and sausages, sublime. Everything, everything here is homemade. On the side, they'll give you some dipping sauces like pesto, a habanero, and a ranch dressing that the fresh dill is fantastic. Cesar salad is awesome. Everything washes down one of their many options for beer. Truly a classic New York pizza joint here in Santa Ana!
google avatar

Vy H.

Yelp
Super glad we have Loosies in the neighborhood and it's always a great slice. Everything is well balanced and the dough is always on point in terms of texture and taste - crispy on the bottom with the right amount of flavor components up top with the toppings. The only reason why for us it loses a star is the fact that we prefer the thickness of our slices to be just a tad thicker than what is offered here at Loosies. If you want a super thin crust, Loosies is it and I would say it deserves that 5-star rating. If you want your slice to be a few millimeters thicker, I think going to Sgt. Pepperoni in Newport Beach is where you should head. You can't go wrong at either place and you'll still leave happy. However, with how great the pizza scene is becoming in OC, the competition is getting a bit stiff.
google avatar

Kwan K.

Yelp
This might be the best pizza in Orange County, it certainly is my favorite. Friday dinner, some seating inside and outdoor seating. You can order a whole pie or slice they have in their case they will heat up for you. Slices have no flip and have a nice crispy bite. We ordered the white Ferrari, pepperoni sausage, and a pesto mozzarella tomato. I liked the pizzas in the ordered I listed. White Ferrari had a nice garlicky bite. The pepperoni sausage was a nice meaty slice what's not to like. The pesto mozzarella was a great slice but the pesto flavor could have been stronger. Overall great pizza, gotta eat it there while it's fresh. Certainly will be back.
google avatar

Mike D.

Yelp
The last time I had this place the crust was beyond dry with zero taste (not excusable for the price tag). I also drove around for over 20 mins just to park, leaving the pizza cold. I've always thought the cashiers have had no enthusiasm toward this small business.. is this owner operated like every small business should be? Not sure the owner even responded back when I gave this a 5 star. Long story short we probably won't be going back (average spent each visit about $70). I used to think it was pretty good but now I'm realizing based on their location, their original goal is probably pizza by the slice to a bunch of teenagers after the Yost theater; Good luck with that. My suggestion is to move into a nicer area like Tustin and cater to higher income customers, because I do think this place has potential.
google avatar

Bianca N.

Yelp
They use canned mushrooms not fresh mushrooms and for me that's already amateur and inauthentic. And for $18 I would expect at least fresh mushrooms I mean it isn't that difficult to find there's no reason u can't source fresh mushrooms as a pizza restaurant ...
google avatar

Kevin W.

Yelp
Pepperoni is a must best NY style I have had in OC. Love by the slice so I can try different styles. Everything was good tried the white Ferrari and veggie. They are really quick and reasonable prices.
google avatar

Emily H.

Yelp
This is the closest to a "NY-style" pizza you can get around here. I wish it was located in a more convenient area for pickup. Delivery options would also be nice.
google avatar

Marvin M.

Yelp
We stopped in here because this place has pizza by the slice, they have good Yelp reviews, and they are open late. They have a decent selection of pizzas on their menu. We wanted pizza by the slice because our family of 6 can't agree on a single pizza and we wanted something that was quick and ready to go. However, they only had 2 pizzas out on the counter (Hawaiian and Pepperoni). They said that if we wanted anything else, it would take about 20 minutes. Since there was only one slice of Hawaiian left, one of us got that and everyone else got pepperoni. So much for their great selection! The taste and the cook of the pizza was pretty good. 5 stars for that. Seating indoors is near nil. The tables outside were all occupied even though half the people out there were not eating pizza. 2 stars for ambiance. Although the guy at the register was on top of the taking orders part, the business just doesn't plan ahead and prepare for the crowd coming in the door. When our family bought 6 slices of pizza, they were left with just one slice of pepperoni for the next group. Another pepperoni was coming out of the oven, but one would think that they could cook more than one pizza at a time. 2 stars for service.

Yelp
In short, Best NY style pizza in OC. With a few more details, I've tried so many pizza places in OC that claim that their pizza is NY style but that eludes them. Not Loosies. They nail it. Excellent pizza. Love this place. Staff is friendly. Oh yes the other pizza styles they have are fantastic as well. Call ahead of time so you don't wait. Highly recommended. Keep it Loosies..
google avatar

Celeste S.

Yelp
I found them through yelp last year around October. I been coming since and always satisfied with the food. The ambiance hits the vibe with the music and layout. I love they kept the old sign from pizza loca keeping it retro. The girl at the register is always friendly and personable. They all work hard and really love the food. This is my new pizza place.

Yelp
Great solid NYC style pizza. Great crust, fast service and the closest thing I've had to nyc pizza

Kevin He Zhong Q.

Yelp
I'd never thought I could find a good slice shop NY style pizzeria here in SoCal, but Loosies you did it! I've been to NY multiple times and I'm in love with NY style pizza for its thin crust and double crunch texture. Food: 1/2 Margherita 1/2 White Ferrari Pie - the Margherita sauce is freakin amazing, it almost tasted like a vodka sauce when you take a bite of the sauce and cheese together. The White Ferrari is also very good, but not a lot of flavor besides the garlic. 1/2 Pepperoni 1/2 All Meat - this was definitely NY vibes right here. Some crushed pepper, sprinkle some Parmesan cheese and it's perfect. The owner also gave us their house ranch and pineapple salsa, the ranch with the crust is perfect. Service: you can call in and order before getting to the store to have it there, they have an outdoor patio area with chairs. We called in about 30 minutes before arrival and the pizza was almost ready. The workers there are all very friendly and professional. Recommendations: There's individual slices if you're not feeling the whole pie. When you receive your pie in the box, definitely let it air out so it doesn't lose the crunch. I wish they would serve dine in pies on a platter rather than in a box.

Yelp
Caprese salad, and their Ferrari pizza is *chef's kiss* Not to mention the black and white cookies for dessert. The BF go to is always the pepperoni. I also love the plain ol' cheese. This is OC's best secret Pizza spot.

Yelp
Just got back from NYC recently and my husband and I were craving New York pizza so we googled best pizza in OC and this place came up, so obviously we had to try it. It was so good! Right amount of cheese and crunch. If you close your eyes and take a bite, you are automatically transported to let's say LUcias in Greenwich village. Just as good I might add. Go here if you want 9/10 pizzas.
